I've got emotion dripping out my pores ((I totally stole the idea of using song lyrics, but mimicry's the greatest form of flattery, right?))[/center] Regulus Black walked out into the courtyard wearing a broad smirk across his face, like he knew some sort of juicy secret with which he could blackmail anyone in the school. As great a treat that would be for the serpentine prince the true reason behind his knowing smirk couldn't even compare to something so frivolous. You see Regulus now had a girlfriend, which had always tended to put him in a better mood, but his current girlfriend wasn't just another girl, she was the girl. Indigo Grace stirred feelings within the young Slytherin he had previously believed himself incapable of feeling, and he was soon to be meeting her...hopefully. Regulus had managed to slip Indigo a note, but it was bit of a different note. You see, being the studious person that Regulus was he had learned a clever way of using Transfiguration to pass notes. He would write the note and then transfigure it into a small gray mouse who would not only blend into the granite stones of the castle, but also wouldn't see too out of place. The ingenious part was that Reg could tell the mouse where to go and upon reaching it's target would automatically transfigure back to the note...hopefully Indi wasn't afraid of mice. Assuming she got the note she would have read the following: Indi, I know we said spontaneous meetings were best, but I can't take the chance that all I may see of you today is a glance in the hallway, meet me by the fountain in the courtyards after class, I'll be waiting. -R.A.B. |
Regulus assumed Indi, like many knew that he signed his notes using his initials. He had started this because, well he liked his initials for one, he was proud of all three names. More than that, however was that not all of Regulus notes passed via mouse were quite so innocent, so just using his initials would make it easy to deny that he had written it. Which was why he also disguised his handwriting in his darker notes as well, Regulus Black was always one step ahead when it came to getting away with...just about anything really. For this letter however his slanted handwriting remained true to form, not that he thought Indi would be able to recognize it anyway. So, now Regulus sat at the edge of the fountain in the center of the courtyards waiting for his girlfriend as promised. Assuming all had gone well with his letter. He had slipped the mouse note under the door, but couldn't be sure it had accomplished his mission, but he hadn't failed yet.

(sorry, my internet has been down due to stormy weather)
Clearly Regulus Black was not a patient person, nor the type to leave anything up to chance. He made his own chances, but that was just another thing to add to her list as to why she liked him. She'd been sitting in her dorm room, by the window sill as she usually did, when she heard the faint squeaking of either a mouse or a rat. Either way, Indigo wasn't going to hurt it, but for her room mates' sakes, she'd just....relocate it. Anything that walked on four legs and wasn't human she automatically adored. Sitting up alertly, she scanned the room, looking for the animal. No sooner had she begun searching than it actually crawled up the side of the sill and sat down next to her. Indi blinked at it curiously, that was out of the ordinary. She wasn't Cinderella. Suddenly it burst and her eyes widened, trying to figure out what had just happened.
Well, he had certainly gave the Gryffindor girl a wake-up call. Instead of a mouse, a letter laid by her feet, which were curled up underneath her. First pulling her blanket over her bare arms, Indi reluctantly picked up the letter and stared at it. It didn't look like a howler, but you know, her father was thinking of more ingenious ways to scare her silly every day. He was constantly screaming at her for something, so she had to take precautions. Not liking to not know more than anything else, she broke the seal and read what was inside. Shaking her head with a little smile, she got up and placed the note in her sock drawer, before getting dressed. As expected, Indigo wanted her first class to end, potions wasn't fascinating anyway. She'd recieved a pile full of homework by the end of the class, lucky girl.
Indigo ignored that fact and headed for the courtyard, but not too fast, she didn't want to look like an anxious school girl. Her hair was down around her shoulders today, it was cold outside and it provided some warmth. It was wavy, when the air was cold there was no use in making it straight, it would just change back anyway. She stopped by the first tree in the courtyard as she spotted Regulus, already waiting. Good, she wasn't first. With her books in her side bag, she walked slowly over to him in her high-heeled shoes, stopping a few feet away. "You know......" She smirked. "Patience is a virtue...or so I've heard." Not like she had the so-called virtue either, but it was for conversation's sake. "Am I that irrestistible?" She laughed and closed the space between them. Because she came prepared with her shoes, she didn't have to tip-toe as she leaned in to give him a kiss.

And I thought I would let you know Finally Indigo arrived forcing any horrid thoughts of who knows what from Regulus mind. Each of Indi's cool calculated steps sent his heart a flutter, it was still quite strange to feel this way, but Regulus loved it. Indi's hair was wavy today and he wondered if that was intentional or natural. Either way it looked amazing, his girlfriend had such beautiful brown hair. It provided a lovely compliment to the lovely brown eyes Reg so adored. "I waited until morning didn't I?" Regulus asked smiling coyly. He hadn't wanted to part the previous night and did so only because he knew he had to. He had laid in his bed wondering if Indi was asleep yet, if she was dreaming about him, thinking about him like he was her. Once he had gotten a sleep it became easier to be apart, but once he woke the next morning minutes and hours seemed to creep by and each moment without Indi felt like an eternity. Finally he had decided to send his mouse note to end his suffering of guessing when they would next meet. Regulus met Indi's lips anxiously, noting that the heels were serving their purpose as he kissed his girlfriend back. Regulus broke the kiss to answer Indi's question, if his kiss hadn't already. "Yes, you certainly are," Reg smiled. He gave Indi another quick kiss wanting to feel her lips on his once more before continuing conversation. "How'd you sleep?" he asked smiling as he rolled his hand slowly down his girlfriends arms taking her hands in his. Reg had been concerned that Indi may not have gotten the sleep she needed because he had kept her up with there night out on the grounds.

"Yes, you did. Though I do remember something about us just running into one another, and that way it would make it more...spontaneous?" Indigo tried to think of the right word, but no matter how she said it, it sounded stupid. She must have been more tired than she thought last night, to have wanted to wait for chance and all that rubbish. Yes she was in a much clearer state of mind today. Hopefully. She hadn't wanted to wait either, but it was an easier excuse to blame the impatience solely on him you see. However, it would have been pretty easy to spot Regulus's short dark hair out of the crowd, he was definitely better looking than most of the idiots who went here. Why Sirius was assumed to be the better looking one, she couldn't understand, it must be because of the house.
Yes you are. "Hahaha, good answer." She smirked, running her hand carelessly through his hair. Irrisistable she always thought not, but for some reason many seemed to think so. Let them, it wasn't going to hurt anything. Indigo had been spending a lot of time with Regulus lately, and she'd sort of been neglecting her other friends, very unlike her. But it didn't matter so much, she didn't want Rita and Danni gossiping about her, and most of her friends were boys anyhow. You could go without seeing them for a month, and they'd still talk to you like you'd just hung out yesterday. That's what she liked about them, they weren't catty.
She locked his always warm fingers in her's, thinking they balanced one another out quite nicely. He was always hot, she was always cold, together, they were warm. Heh. "Sleep? A lot more than I had all week." That was true, even if her sleep had not been good. Indi couldn't just tell him that she saw things, unless she wanted to be sent off to the 'happy center'. Anyways, it was about him, and it was something she wasn't bound to share. He was totally different than she had ever seen him. He looked almost the same age as he was now, which was more than enough to unnerve her. Indi had never wanted to see him anything like his cousins, but what she saw, which was supposedly the future, was exactly that. So no, she had definitely had better sleep than last night. "And you..." she kissed him on the neck before letting go of one hand, pulling him on for a walk.

You are the night light ripping through my wicked world "Yes, well I decided spontaneity is overrated," Regulus smiled. "Besides the note I sent you was kinda spontaneous," he added as a weak gesture to justify his actions. Although he may have been confusing the meaning of the word spontaneous, his note had been at the very least unusual. "Didn't startle you did it?" he asked a bit concerned that it may have frightened or just freaked Indi out. After all it must be a bit odd watching a tiny gray mouse poof into a bit of parchment, if you weren't used to such things. "I thought it sounded like the right choice," Reg said returning his girlfriend's smirk. His girlfriend, it was still hard to believe. Even now, greeting other with kisses and playful smirks it felt all to good to be real. This was the girl he had dreamed of dating, who had somehow been able to live up to all his foolish ideals. He'd always been so afraid that as soon as he tried to talk Indigo the perfect image he'd created of her would be shattered, and she'd despise him for his house and the things he was raised to believe like so many others did. But she hadn't, she had accepted him. Of course Regulus worked hard to make sure she never see any bad in him, and he would need to keep it that way. She could never see how quickly he lost his temper, how cynical he could be of others, no she must see him only see how much he loved her, because in the end that was all that would matter. "I take it that's not saying much, but at least your sleeping," Regulus said glad for this improvement. He hated seeing Indi in any sort of sleep deprivation, driving herself crazy with studying the way she had been. Most of it was probably unnecessary anyway. Regulus took the amount of sleep to be good and hardly noticed Indi didn't mention quality, but he assumed she must have slept well to have slept for so long. Funny how people can so easily mistake quantity for quality, especially in such casual conversation. "Well," Regulus began smiling as Indi pulled him along as they began to walk. "I laid in bed unable to sleep because I was worried you hadn't gotten to sleep, then when I finally did fall asleep I had a dream about you, and was quite dissappointed when I woke up without you. And I waited a good hour or so before giving in and writing that note," Reg explained saying the last as though the hour were some sort of accomplishment...for him it actually was. So comfortable was the feeling of her hand in his he began to sway them back and forth unconsciously as they walked.

"My ideas aren't overrated" She mused, twirling a peice of her hair around her finger. "You don't like the idea of a 1 in a 100 chance of an encounter? But it's so much more romantic that way" She continued sarcastically, finding it all ridiculous herself. You had to make it happen, you couldn't just sit around and wait for it. "Certainly not. It's just an animal, I don't see why girls get so worked up over it." The only thing that truely startled her were spiders, she just couldn't get past their eight furry legs and eyes staring back at her with convinction. Uh just thinking about it made her shudder.
"Very clever, I must say." Indigo tapped him on the nose, finding the mouse note unique, if not a little odd. "You'll have to teach me that trick...unless it's some family secret I'm not supposed to know about?" She smirked, finding that doubtful. But then, she had never even heard of something like that done before, and as far as she knew, none of her friends had either. "It's the right choice as long as you were honest. I hate when people lie." She swung her hand along with his, her shoes tapping in beat across the bricks of the courtyard. "I can see right through them when they do." She glanced at Regulus with a coniving smile, as if she were searching for a lie to spring forward. "So don't do it" sticking out her the tip of her tongue, she added.
"I had to get my beauty sleep.....hate for you to see my with my eyes all droopy and my hair a mess......again." Indigo smirked, knowing she surely had not been looking her best last night. "Alright, and how is it, by the way and completely off subject, that boys can always look good, no matter how much sleep they get? It shouldn't be allowed." Or maybe they just always got the right amount of sleep, no matter what setting or situation they were in. "That's a lot of worrying for you to do in so little time...how do you manage." She laughed a little and wrapped her arm around his, leaning her head against his shoulder. Rain drops fell heavly down on the ground, perfect weather in her opinion. "If it's any consolation, then, I thought about you...but only a little bit." She teased.

How you make it sparkle and glow "I think I'd prefer to make my own chances," Regulus smiled. "I left it to fate after our first encounter and it took nearly two weeks of me wondering if I hadn't just dreamed the whole thing up before we finally ran into each other again," he added confident in his sound logic. He had been so afraid that when he approached Indi the previous night she wouldn't remember him, though of course he never showed it. Everything was a cool and confident exterior, appearance was everything in the most noble house of Black. "I figured you'd say something like that," Reg smiled, she was so perfect. A beautiful girl who cared about what she looked like and yet didn't mind such things as mice, or going out and planting a tree...which they still needed to do at some point. "No, just a Regulus Black was bored trick that I only let a select few know about," Regulus smirked. His mother absolutely hated mice, so family secret it was not. Only those who had ever gotten a mouse-note knew the trick and not even all of them. "Transfiguring them was the easy part, it was getting 'em to change back that was the challenge," Regulus admitted. For awhile it had been that he needed a counter curse to transform the animal, but after some fiddling...and a little help from the Transfiguration teacher...at least the dirty mudblood was good for something. Regulus could respect his Professors talents, but he would never like him. "I could never lie to you anyway," Regulus smiled and it seemed true, at least for the moment. As far as he was aware he hadn't yet lied to Indi, and had no plans to in the future. Sadly lying was like breathing for Regulus and he now wondered how long he would be able to hold his breath. And could Indi really know if he was lying, or was she just saying that to make it less appealing than it already was? "I thought you looked cute last night," Regulus smiled. Oddly enough it was true. Yes her eyes were droopy with bags and her hair was a mess, but her eyes had stayed the same magnificent brown, and her mess of hair still looked soft to the touch. Even at her worst Indigo could never look terrible, no matter what she thought. "I dunno, I look pretty much a mess before I shower," Regulus offered. True he didn't go through the preparations girls did, but it was something. "I have no idea," Regulus laughed. Truth was it was almost a welcome sort of worrying, to actually care so much about a person that you worried when they were away...it was nice. "I'll take what I can get," Regulus smiled his stomach filling with butterflies at the knowledge that Indi had thought about him at all.

"You must have such vivid dreams. Imagining you ran into me, of all people you could dream about. Why I'm flattered" She smirked. "And then of course thinking up the whole thing about me falling down the stairs.....that's not quite so flattering." She listed the things that had happened in their first real meeting as if she were weighing them on a scale. "However, for you to be thinking about a Gryffindor at all with something less than malice gives you brownie points." Though she was often curious, how he reacted to Gryffindors. From what she knew, it wasn't much of a change except for her. Indi had always managed to get on fairly with Slytherins, if not for a slight resentment. Many of them were definitely not her friends, but then there were a few who proved otherwise.
"I spent my two weeks wondering if I was out of my mind for even talking to you." There was some truth in it, he seemed far to nice to be a Black. "What with your family's relationship with me and all." There relationship was utter loathing. Her father, never said yay or nay when it came to the subject of the Blacks. There was some strong bitter feelings towards them for sure, but because they were considered a respectable pureblood family, he left them alone without any comment. Besides, in their own little pretend world it would be foolhardy to challenge the Blacks. "I decided I was just slighty stupid." Indigo winked. "You're much better than you think." She felt like added, at the same time trying to assure herself. She didn't want to believe anything she saw about him in the future was true, people could change after all.
"And do I get to be part of that select few Mr. Black?" It was incredibly hard to control that once she got on a roll with it, addressing everyone as Mr. and Miss and all that nonesense. "At any rate, I'm pleased you got it to work. A mouse doesn't alarm me, neither does a letter, but a permant half mouse/have peice of parchment might." That was a discusting image. She always liked to learn, so even if he didn't tell her, she just watch intently next time he used that trick, she'd figure it out eventually. Stubborn girl she was, she'd practice all night if she had to. I could never lie to you anyway. Indigo nodded her head knowingly as they walked along, coming around to the grassy grounds now, where several other students were relaxing. "Smart snake." She could tell a liar a mile away. That's what made it incredibly difficult to get on with Ethan. Both of them hated lies, both of them did it, and both of them could tell exactly when the other used one. He was exasperating.
"Oh you did not!" She smacked his arm and rolled her eyes, at least she didn't think she looked cute. It was true, Indi supposed to could have looked much worse than she did, but by good graces she ended up looking half decent. "Well at least you shower, so many don't, bleh." She stuck out her tongue in snooty tone, the exact tone she'd picked up from her household. "I thought about you a lot more than just a little bit, but shh, it's a secret." She grinned childishly and pulled on his arm to keep up.

"Before I lose control" Indigo was about the only person Regulus ever wanted to dream about...especially with the way his dreams had been going recently. He prayed that he would see Indi's face in his sleep rather than some of the unpleasant images that frequented his sleep. Regulus smiled sheepishly at the stairs comment. Well, not even he could be flattering all the time, but he tried to make sure the good out weighed the bad. "Well, I've had to focus my malice extra hard on all the other Gryffindors to make up for it, but I think it's worth it," Regulus smiled. Oddly enough there was a bit of truth to that. He had been getting on worse with his ex brother Sirius and he had nearly killed/been killed in a duel with that bratty Evangeline girl. "I spent my two weeks wondering if I was out of my mind for even talking to you." Regulus smiled, "That's sweet," he said sarcastically. At least she had been thinking about him. "What with your family's relationship with me and all."Damn his family. How had he forgotten that he his family hated Indi's or had he forgotten? Not exactly, now that he thought about it. He knew when he first started crushing on Indi that the families didn't get along. It intrigued him, actually, made him want Indi more because he knew he could never have her. She was a rival house in school and out, but so beautiful. As they got closer though Regulus had forced himself to believe that pureblood would win over rivalries. While he remained convinced his parents would think Indi was better than a mud blood they still wouldn't approve. The Grace's weren't mentioned often in the house of Black, but when they were the words were not pleasant. Indi had still been talking and as he pulled out of memory the words caught up to him. "You're much better than you think." Reg took a moment to absorb the words. "Am I?" he smirked though there was a seriousness behind his voice, He had always wanted to believe he was better than he thought, and when he was with Indi he felt like he was better...but was he? Could he be after the way he was raised? And perhaps most importantly if he could did he even want to be? "Not if you keep calling me Mr. Black," Regulus answered playfully as his lips curled up in a smile. "It actually still works rather well as long as the mouse part is the head," Regulus smiled. Some of the early attempts had ended up as such half breeds, of course he never actually used them to deliver an actual note he did test them just to see...those with parchment for heads didn't do so well. Thankfully that stage only lasted a few tries, they were rather creepy little buggers. "But I'll teach you to do it when you take me to plant that tree," he smiled thinking that sounded to be a fair deal. Reg smirked as she commented on the fact he wouldn't lie to her. He was bound to lie eventually, but for now he still wanted to believe he could be completely honest with someone. "Didn't I just tell you I would never lie to you?" Regulus smilied teasingly as Indi argued that she hadn't been cute. Maybe girls relly didn't have to take all that time to look good, they just thought they did. Reg smiled as Indi stuck out her tongue, so cute. "I promise I won't tell," Regulus smiled catching up to Indi as she pulled his arm. She could make him smile more than anyone else.

Yeah, I'll say. She made no comment on the extra malice, though she could already tell that it was focused strongly on his brother. Indi couldn't figure out what was up with those two, and why they had to loathe each other so much. Then again, it wasn't her place to say, especially since she had her own family problems. Indigo and her cousin for one, are liable to one day rip the other's throat out. She frowned though, hoping that he would at least take a little bit more liking to Gryffindors. After all, she didn't hold a house grudge against Slytherins. "We're not all bad you know." Like she should be talking, she often snubbed her own house altogether. For some reason she still felt the need to defend it, house loyalty somehow still embedded into her.
"What can I say? I'm a sweet sweet girl." She smiled at him sour-sweet just to ruin the effect of what she had said. Indigo stopped their walk, thinking that they had gone far enough, her feet were hurting. Turning around to face him she rested her hands on his chest, and began playing with the buttons. Indi wasn't sure she could even imagine herself eating a poud of chocolate while watching romantic comedies. Eww, think about how much weight she would put on. He'd lost himself for a moment, she could tell. Regulus was thinking about something, and she knew it was her fault for even bringing their familes up. They were cool, formal, and collected when they had to encounter one another, because they wouldn't dare let their true colors show. But in truth, neither family preferred one another, Indi just didn't now how far the dislike went.
It was totally silly, for people who had the same common interests and values to be so petty. It was mostly her family she figured, they were just jealous of how well the Blacks sat on top of the social ladder. This made Indigo want to smack them, knowing perfectly well why her mother and left that family long ago. They were completely nuts. Am I? She cocked her head to the side like she wasn't sure if he was serious or not. Am I ...she hoped he was. Indigo threw her arms around his shoulders and gave him a kiss. "Of course you are" She whispered. "Just like I'm not as bad as I think I am." Again, hopefully.
"I can't help it" She whined. It was a habit that was more than difficult to break. It was possible, of course. "Fine, I'll stop calling you Mr. Black, Mr. Black." she used it the last time she could. "But, don't even try to get me to use nicknames. It's not gonna happen" She smirked defiantly. She could only go so far. "You did but I mean...." Indigo eyed him. "Alright, that's true." She stuffed her hands into Regulus's pockets instead of her own, she didn't have any anyway. "Good, because if you did tell....I'd have to think of something really bad." She laughed, her mind just wasn't functioning today.

There's just one thing you should know "I know," Regulus nodded. "And I try to be nice...er to the one's who aren't, but you know that house rivalry goes both ways," he added smiling. Regulus never really minded much. the rivalries went about as far as the quidditch pitch for him and after that he tried not to worry about house differences. It just so happened that Gryffindors tended to be annoying and even if he didn't dislike them, they would dislike him, so why not beat them to the punch. Hufflepuff's annoyed him as well, though Bella was his friend and then Ravenclaws were mostly okay, if he didn't like any of them it usually had to do with something other than house. Of course just because he didn't mind houses so much didn't change the simple fact that Slytherin was the best house in every way possible. "You certainly are," Regulus smiled. Indi wasn't exactly sweet, but he liked that about her. Reg really couldn't stand those overly sweet people it was just...well it bothered him. It was too bad Reg couldn't fully enjoy watching Indi play with the buttons of his shirt as he was too busy worrying about a silly rivalry that shouldn't exist. There were few enough pureblood families as it was, why did they insist on drawing lines? Of course Regulus had begun to wonder if any other family liked the most Ancient and Noble house of Black. Certainly they were respected for their wealth and commitment to keeping blood pure over the centuries, but as far as actually liking them, he wasn't sure. The Blacks were wizard royalty...or as close as one could get and they knew that and they flaunted it, it must make other people jealous. Regulus smiled putting his hand on Indigo's waist as she kissed him, he liked that answer. Maybe he wasn't so bad, after all if a girl like Indi could like him there had to be some redeeming qualities in there somewhere. But Indi's next comment surprised him. Was she just trying to make him feel better by saying that? Or did she really think she was bad? "'Course your not," Reg smiled giving Indi a quick peck on the lips before adding, "You're perfect." That was another thing they had in common they both had a a love/hate relationship, with themselves. Regulus smirked at Indi, she was even cute when she whined. He almost thought about withdrawing the request, but really he couldn't stand to be called Mr. Black, it was one of those 'Mr. Black is my father' sort of things. Of course Regulus greatly admired his father, he just didn't like being referred to by the same title, at least not yet. "Shucks," Regulus smiled. "Well, can I still use nicknames for you honeybear?" he asked smiling in a sweet voice putting extra sugar on the nickname. Of course Reg would never want to call her any of those cutesy sort of nicknames, but it was fun to play around with it. "Well I certainly wouldn't want that," Reg smiled gently running his hands up and down Indi's arms as she stuffed her hands in his pocket.

"I know, and Gryffindors aren't nearly as self-righteous or special as they think" She added for good measure. Their house flaw: ego. It was shocking how many pranced about as if they were just the greatest thing in the world. God's gift to the world, if you will. For some reason, Ravenclaw got it good, and they were the neutral house. There was hardly anyone who was terribly biased against them. Even Slytherins could stand them. Maybe that was it, they were the well-balanced house, the normal ones. Indigo hated to think of herself as anything that wasn't normal, so she brushed that solution aside in a hurry. Slytherin carried the ego problem too, which was probably why they fit so well as house rivals. They were so much alike, that they couldn't get along.
There was a time when Indigo was mushy and overly-tender, that's when she was around her pets. It was grossly overdone, the sweet thing, when she was grooming her owl Rebel, or cuddling her house cat. If she wasn't warm to people, she had to at least be warm to something. But at the moment, Rebel was misbehaving unusually so. He kept flying over the Forbidden Forest, which was a definite no. At least he hadn't gone in yet, it'd be most inconvient for her to have to chase after him. Damn bird.
You're perfect. She looked at him as if he'd just said something horrendous. "Oh Regulus you're so dramatic. I am not." She had so many flaws she didn't even know where to start. Indigo figured most anyone would be more perfect than her, though she wouldn't share this with most. "I don't dare to venture that never forgiving one person that has wronged you is a very redeeming quality, or attractive for that matter." She looked as if she were thinking about something for a long moment before shaking her head and putting a smile on. "Anyways, it doesn't matter. New subject shall we?"
"Of course you can Regulus darling, as long as you don't mind if I hurl on your expensive shoes every time you use one." Honeybear, that was a new one. "You wouldn't actually believe how many people have tried to call me things like that. Let me tell you, that was a fast relationship." Over and out. The minute someone pulled that on her for real, bleh. Her fingers immediately started warming up the minute she put her hands in the pockets of his jacket, even his clothes were warm. Indigo scooted closer and pushed her wrists in with a smile. "I'm just testing how much I can stuff in there" she laughed a little. The warmer, the better.

This is for real, this time I mean it
"I'm glad you realize that," Regulus smiled. He wasn't sure if Indi wanted him to respond with a comment about Slytherins being arrogant jerks, but she would have to ask if she wanted him to go against his house loyalty. Reg loved being a snake and really couldn't imagine being in any other house, of course that didn't necessarily mean he got a long with everyone. He actually tended to bump head with his housemates quite a bit over issues of ego. Oddly though he still considered many of them friends, passion and short tempers were all just part of being Slytherin, but at the end of the day, they'd have your back. "Well I certainly haven't found any flaws in you yet," Regulus smiled. Of course he really didn't know all that much about Indi, but it seemed that every perceivable flaw she had ended up being something he liked about her, usually because they had that in common. Like being shallow and vain. Of course Regulus could tell by Indi's next statement she wasn't taking his statement lightly. "Sounds familiar though," Regulus confessed keeping his voice low as he thought of his brother. And Sirius really hadn't even wronged him, he was the one who had been wronged and yet Regulus refused to stop blaming Sirius and his stupid pride for walking out on the family. Regulus wasn't so sure he liked this topic anymore and was relieved when Indi asked for a new topic, "Right, good idea," he nodded quickly eager to move on. "No nicknames got it," Regulus smiled. Just like that the thought of Sirius ignorance was erased. He wouldn't exactly have to try hard to not call Inigo by nicknames...unless he had been drinking. Regulus tended to use nicknames when he got tipsy and they weren't always the most polite ones either. Then again Reg wasn't sure he wanted Indi to see him drinking regardless of nicknames. He had been laying off lately so that was good. Reg began to wonder if something like 'babe' or 'baby' counted as a nickname as he could remember using either of those on past girlfriends. He would have to be careful and try not use just in case. Regulus laughed as Indi continued to stuff her wrists into his jacket pocket. "My pockets are your pockets," Regulus smiled. he liked having Indi's hands in his pockets, and he wanted to keep them there. He also enjoyed that putting her hands in further had gotten Indi to move closer.

"I realize a lot of things" she smirked. She realized every house and every person in them had some imperfection. You couldn't be so dense as to think everyone in a house was perfect and they had no flaws, that was ridiculous, and over-inflated. That was some ego you had to have. That's what made Bellatrix so incredibly stupid in the end. The pressure pushed on her by her own so-called family about Slytherins was enough to make her a little biased. She was tired of hearing Slytherin this, and Slytherin that, you should have been in Slytherin. If that were so, then that's where she would be. Don't second guess the hat. There was some bitterness to her own house at times, simply because sometimes she thought if she was in slytherin, it would make home life a whole lot easier. It could be worse, she could be a hufflepuff. She had an unusual amount of negativity towards them.
"That's because you don't know me" she answered back softly. There's only so much you could see about a person if they didn't tell you personal things about themselves. She was almost completely unforgiving. If she felt you had truely wronged her, there was no point in trying anymore. At the same time, she often overlooked the good qualities she had, like charity and loyalty. Those always seemed to slip right past her. But this whole ordeal was a topic Indigo was tired of focusing on, anything that made her uncomfortable had to be terminated. Right, good idea. So, she said no more of that, and went on to the next thing that popped into her head. My pockets are your pockets. She laughed lightly and rested her head against his neck. "I'm glad you see it my way. What's yours is mine" She giggled, missing the 'what's mine is yours' part on purpose to poke at him.
She was quiet for awhile, because she couldn't think about anything that would be appropriate to say. Everything that was on her mind right now she didn't want to express. Especially not her concern for his future plans. She didn't know what they were, which was what was making the anxiety even worse. In the end, the girl couldn't help but poke her nose into his business. "Do you believe the things your family does?" That was open for interpretation, and wasn't very specific. There were a lot of things people believed, but, he'd probably know what she meant. It might have been the first personal thing she'd asked him yet.

"Well then, let me get to know you," Regulus smiled optimistically. "I'm sure you can't be as bad as you think you are, and even if you are that would probably only make us even better for each other," he added looking into her eyes hand still resting gently on her forearms. It hurt to hear Indi say that he didn't know her, but she was right. The one thing Regulus did know was that see her made him happy and that whenever they were together he got nervous butterflies in his stomach. Indi made him feel like no other girl ever had, so maybe he didn't know her, but surely the way she made him feel meant something...didn't it? Either way they needed to move away from that line of thought. They were here together now, getting to know each other. No need to drag out each others flaws and confront them now. It would come with time. "Aren't you going to say and what's mine is yours?" Regulus smirked playfully. He had the feeling Indi had left that out intentionally. Maybe he knew her better than she thought. Really though how Indi could see her as anything less than perfect was a mystery. Of course she couldn't be perfect in the sense that she had no flaws, but each of her flaws somehow only made her more perfect in Reg's eyes...if that made any sense at all. Which it really didn't, but nothing about love seems to make sense. It got quiet and Regulus wondered if he should break the silence. But no words came to him. He waited until Indi finally spoke again. When she did it was certainly not what he had expected her to say. "You mean about blood purity?" Regulus asked figuring this was what Indi must be referring to. "I believe Wizards are superior to muggles, pure blood superior to half bloods, and mudbloods, it's a social hierarchy, the muggles base there's on wealth, wizards base it on purity of blood," Regulus explained not quite sure what the answer Indi was looking for was, but trying to present his case in such a way that it was hard to disagree.
