Boredom was the definition of Isabella Swan’s life were you to decide to take a look right where she was. Unsuccessfully she was out in the Courtyard doing neglected school work, lying on her stomach underneath the shade of a tree off to the side. Her legs were bent, ankles crossed in midair as she tried to finish her work. She’d finally managed to finish her late-turn-in Potions essay and turned her Transfiguration essay in on time, but now she was sadly lacking in other areas. Today was dedicated to History of Magic, her least favorite subject. Their assignment had been to find similarities between two old trolls, both leaders of opposing groups. So far she’d managed to decide that they were both stupid, insignificant to history, and didn’t deserve to be mentioned in any class – but somehow she didn’t think her professor would be very pleased with those answers. Sighing, she flipped to the next page of her text book and began her skimming process.
They’re both complete idiots, Bella decided in frustration, wanting badly to just write that down on her parchment and call it good. She searched through their war tactics again, finding enough evidence to support that theory – neither ‘Gorge of Gruesome’ or ‘Bloody Backbone’ seemed to know how to effectively lead a rampaging group of trolls into battle. Something about that stuck, oh come on Bella, you could stretch that into a good answer… Her mind pleaded with her, trying to make up some excuse of why that was a justifiable reason. “Alright, new angle,” she muttered and began scribbling out her reply. They were both idiots, but saying that they didn’t know how to run a war was a better answer. When she was satisfied with that answer, she moved on to the next: ‘Gorge the Gruesome was his own demise.’ Do you agree or disagree with that statement? Why or why not? Use examples from the text to support your answer. Bella wrinkled her nose in disgust, hating those sort of questions. “Who really cares about history?” she growled, “It’s already passed.”
It took a little longer the probably necessary to complete her response, but when she had finished a surge of joy ran through her – only one more question! Her spirits were crushed however, realizing the final question asked for a good, decent paragraph instead of a few quick, simple sentences. Uncharacteristically a small string of insults rattled from her mouth, swearing at her professor. This is absurd. Only History of Magic could drive her this insane.
“Finally!” Bella whispered in exasperation, glad to have that over with. She shoved it roughly into her binder and then sighed – “Oh boy, time for Charms…” At least that was an easy subject, and something that held slight interest to her. She pulled out a fresh piece of parchment, and then thrust it back away. “Forget it; I’ve done enough for today…” She’d just have to finish her Charms homework later. She pulled all her other things towards her and carefully tucked them into her book bag, proceeding to slide herself into sitting position on the grass. Stretching her arms over her head, she finally glanced around her. Not very many were about, most farther down and out around the outskirts of the lake. Normally Bella would have been down there herself, but the last time she’d done that she hadn’t come back into the castle until the moon was out and it was way past their normal ‘lights off’ hour. It brought a faint smile to her lips, thinking about it. Bella shifted backwards a little and rested at the base of the tree, her grin planted firmly on her face.
She daydreamed for a little while, but her hands got bored – Bella tugged out a slice of parchment once more and her quill, doodling out a little silhouette of the hills in contrast to the pale waters of the lake. Fixated on one spot particular, she etched it all into detail, finding her memory quite accurate. And just like that she forgot the world again, lost in her sketch and unaware of her surroundings.

You couldn't begin to understand how troublesome being different from others was sometimes. Actually more than sometimes, it was much more like all the time. Indi always pushed herself into the group and fit in fairly well, at least on the outside. She always felt that people her age were so immature and childish, and most of the things they talked about were of no importance or enough worth to even discuss. She felt like one of the few people that actually had any sense, and she wasn't even completely normal. Scratch that, she wasn't normal at all. Everything had been messed up lately, and though Indigo would have thought it would bring joy to her eyes, it ended up leaving frustration and anticipation. She usually got the gist of what was coming up next in her life, but it always left out the important details. Indi has a bit of a unique, well...power is probably the best way to ever say it. Seeing things that are going to happen, which haven't already, is something she often does. She catches small glimses of feelings or thoughts she is going to have in the near future, and even on occasion, she can see it.
This is something she will never share with anyone but herself, considering that she partly didn't believe she really could do it. Her mother knew of course, but that was only because she had this since she was born, and it was awfully hard to hide at such a young age. Since arriving back at Hogwarts after summer break, Indi has felt an unusual change. She hasn't seen anything, she hasn't felt anything. Somewhat major things have happened in her short time of being here, and yet she had no idea that they were coming, and they caught her by surprise. She's never wanted such an ability, finding it grossly unnatural. But, she's found having no idea is far worse than knowing alltogether. Indigo has felt no comforting assurance in decisions she's made, because she doesn't know the result of them. So, this was mainly what the young woman was thinking about all day yesterday, with a lot of Regulus Black thrown into the mix.
Today was something different completely. She had had a resteless sleep last night, mainly due to all the visions she was having. Everything was fragemented, in bits and pieces, but it was enough to make her head spin and wish it all away again. This were not good signs or glimses, and she wished she could take them back. People were screaming, muggle homes were being destroyed, and every where around them was thrown into a fit of panic. Magic was bursting out of wands, the unforgiveable curses being shouted freely and without guilt towards anyone not in uniform. These people, the ones who were doing all this, had these...masks. They were hideous, and she could clearly see they were meant to be something terrifying. And that was all, all that she could see. They were coming so often, it was making Indigo uncomfortable, and the worst bit was, she couldn't say anything. She couldn't scream, and ask it to stop, especially in the middle of class. That's when one happend, and she had to pretend nothing was going on, that she wasn't suddenly pulled out of her Herbology classroom and thrown into a world of turmoil. She couldn't do...anything. That was always the worst part.
Gliding down the steps of the school, the large clock in the courtyard sounded, indicating that it was now exactly two o'clock. She was free for the rest of the day, because her last class, Magical Creatures, had been cancelled due to an unfortunate incident. No information yet on what it was, but she was almost sure it had something to do with the professor; those kinds of things always did. Today she was wearing a little blue cotton dress that reached her knees, though technically, she should still be wearing her robes. Indigo didn't care for them, they covered far too much skin. Her books were held tightly across her chest as she bounced down the steps, giving the impression that she was in a much more light and happy mood than she really was. Decieving was now so natural, Indigo often didn't notice when she did it anymore. Looking for a nice shade underneath a tree, she spotted Isabella Swan underneath a nice one. Normally she'd take her rightful spot underneath the Whomping Willow, but it was very angry at her yesterday, because she accidently offended it. Indigo would give her time to cool off. Yes, she decided it was a girl. Only a female could have such a wrath and moodswings.
"Is...." Indigo bit down on her tongue hard, which was actually painful process. She certainly wouldn't recommend the activity. She'd barely managed to hold her tongue and not call her by her full name, which Indigo knew Bella didn't like, at all. Indi was so used to being formal and using full names, that controlling the habit was quite the task. "Afternoon Bella." She folded her dress beneath her legs as she sat down beside the hufflepuff, protecting it from the wind that was playing with the bottom of the fabric. "Tell me, do you often talk to yourself?" A teasing glint was dancing across the pupils of her brown eyes as she spoke. "Ahhh, I see that HOM book next to you. Fascinating subject, don't you think?" Bleh, even this study-loving girl had to say that was too dull and gruesome for her fancy. Perhaps sitting by Bella Swan would help her take her mind off of things, if only for a little bit. She observed silently the work Miss. Swan had been creating, it was very beautiful. "Why little Bella, you're an artist to be sure." Hufflepuffs appeared to have a talent in that particular field.

OOC: *Laughs* Kudos, kudos. ^^ Are you starting a long post collection now too then? ;]
The more Bella drew, the more lifelike her little memory seemed to become. She had argued with herself for a long while the following day, absolutely positive she had just dreamed it all up. Honestly, what proof did she have that it hadn’t just been her subconscious playing a cruel trick on her? She’d been careful to bury her feelings way down deep, but when she was sleeping all guards feel down – she couldn’t keep things locked up. Indeed, it took her waking up still fully clothed and rather exhausted to convince herself somewhat. But all that day, she’d battled. Cleary though, Bella couldn’t have dreamed this up: the cool waters, the way the moon crafted itself about the clouds, the twinkling stars and faint glow form the castle – she could not have made that up. She was trying to convince herself of that much at least.
So, understandably she hardly noticed when someone’s shadow blocked her light, lost in her own little world of sorts. She did, whoever, catch the small slip of the tongue. Lately Bella had been more sensitive towards her own name, finding her mother all the more irritable and therefore finding her name equally as annoying. She’d scarcely looked up to yell at the person when they caught themselves, “Afternoon Bella.” Indigo curled herself right next to her at the greeting – of course; only she would be so proper about hellos. They were friends alright, but she never would understand why Indigo had to act so formal all the time. Quite in contrast to it, she simply answered back “Hey Indi.” It was hard to stop her quill form moving, figuring it would be rude to continue on like Indigo wasn’t even there – it became a lot easier at the remark. “Tell me, do you often talk to yourself?” Bella ceased her drawing for a moment, looking towards the Gryffindor. “Ah ha,” she laughed dryly, but smiled all the same, “And no…not often. Only this stupid thing could bring that out of me.” She nudged her silly text book with the end of her quill, shaking her head. “It’s the most meaningless subject on the planet.” Bella looked at her book in disgust, mortified by the very words it held inside.
“Why little Bella, you’re an artist to be sure.” Almost simultaneously Bella blushed, but whether by the thanks or the memory the picture held she wasn’t sure. She wasn’t exactly embarrassed by it, but Bella was having a hard enough time accepting it had really happened – why should anyone else know about it yet? There was no possible way Indigo had already heard about her little rendezvous with Drew anyways – Bella hadn’t even told anyone; and she hardly thought Drew would have went and gossiped. The thought was comical – Drew bouncing around with a bunch of over-excited gossiping girls. She shook the image out of her head and tried to come up with a reasonable reply. “Um, thanks,” she stumbled out, trying to act somewhat sane. It was hard, pushing other thoughts out of the way. “It’s nothing really,” she improvised, grasping at strings, “I just got a little bored is all. I needed something to do.” She shrugged it off, darkening another fine line defining the earth from the lake. Alright, enough about my drawings. Bella was the one who talked; she was accustomed to be the one talked about. “So what’ve you been up to?” she asked conversationally, adding another little ripple to the surface of the water.

ooc: thanx ;D Haha and doubtful, long posts are murder
Tucking her feet into the warm grass, she no longer felt the need for her sandals. Slipping them off in a quiet manner, she let them rest to the side beside her. The comforting softness and warmth of the grass was so much better than anything her hard, man-made shoes could offer. Wiggling her toes, she leaned over Bella's shoulder to see the drawing more clearing. It was well sketched, and she immediately knew what it was a picture of. So many people were fascinated and captivated by the large lake that rested on the boarders of Hogwarts. It was a beautiful site, lovely for sitting, and some even went as far to swim in it, but only the shallow end. There were many tales and mysteries surrounding the place, but as usual, she was very skeptical about that manner. Still, it didn't hold the same kind of wonder and perfect balance to the girl as to most of the others. For one, Indigo Grace couldn't swim. Period. Second of all, events of her past turned her off from water all together. She especially couldn't take baths, she had to take long showers instead. Even looking towards the lake felt belittling, and she had to look away after awhile. It was a cryptic evil in her mind; so beautiful and calm on the outside, but dangerous and hectic underneath its surface.
Bella's simple greeting was friendly enough, so she remained in her friend's presence. Indi wasn't in a very chatty mood today, and she hoped Bella could talk enough for the both of them. Generally Bella could, but she seemed quieter than usual now. Bella was a bit of an open book when it came to reading emotions, it was like this unnusual loud aura screaming at her. First, she felt slightly uneasy about Indi seeing the picture, and for a moment, she wondered why. The creases in her face and her reply had given that away. Then a new emotion had come to play, the one Indigo had seen on her face from a distance, when she headed over here. Isabella Swan, was twitterpated. With whom, she couldn't say. What, did you think she was a mind reader? "I was just wondering...a lot of people have been doing around school lately, but much worse. Going on and on about so-and-so is so annoying in the halls. Right out in broad daylight, with everyone to see." She shook her head in disapproval, saying Bella's was acceptable, but others needed to learn when to shut it.
"To that, I agree." Indigo picked it up by the very edge of it's binding, as if it carried some vile disease that, if involved in too much touching, could inflict the girl and be fatal. Her own books were resting on top of her purse to the side, covered nicely by the trees' shade. Of course, it was nothing like the shade of the whomping willow, but she had to remember to stand her ground. Which of the two was more stubborn, you just couldn't say. "What bit are you on? Oh, probably the same as us. Gorge the Gruesome?" Lovely subject mind you. How you could possibly get bored!.....at least that was the thought of the professor who taught it, while all the students stared mindlessly at the board full of timelines, and wondered how much of their life was slipping away from them at that very moment.
It was cute the way she blushed, that was something Indi never did. Indi cocked her head to the side, sort of still waiting for something more, but nothing came. Noticeably uncomfortable, strangely predictable, cautious, daydreaming.....ahhh she certainly has it bad. "Well I think it's lovely, so it's not nothing." It was some of her artistic friends thought. If you thought you're own picture was good, well, great. If someone else thought it was good, then it must be. She popped open the lid of a bottled water she had kept hidden inside her bag, and took a sip, eyeing Bella she did so. "This and that. To be frank, I haven't had much time for anything. I've been studying a lot, writing letters, that sort of thing." She wasn't about to go off about everything she'd been doing that week, or bring up her latest boy news so quickly. Instead, she took another sip and blinked. "What about you?" She was waiting for Bella to spill, she knew the girl had something, she'd already concluded that.
ooc: hey not bad....

OOC: A rare item can often be the most valuable collection. ^^
Bella tried to keep focus on her drawing, but all of the sudden something that came so naturally to her seemed difficult. She was consciously aware that Indigo was trying to steal a better glance of her little lake and that wasn’t a bad thing – but quite foolishly she felt Indigo knew about the thoughts connected with the picture. There was absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and she wasn’t – but those two little, awkward binding words of ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ hadn’t exactly come up between the Hufflepuff pair. There was no reason to go flaunting around the fact that her crush had finally allowed the return of feelings if it would arouse in-depth questions. She still hadn’t worked out whether to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ if someone asked whether her and Drew were dating. She compromised that they were going to the ball together – that kind of counted, right? But then she just recoiled, knowing she was letting her over-active mind to get the better of her.
She was pulled out of her momentary fretting quickly enough, trying to process what Indigo was saying. It took her a moment for it to finally click. “Yeah, I suppose so,” she finally agreed, “Some people don’t know when it’s time to just shut your mouth and keep quiet.” And that was true…not that muttering little profanities by yourself was all that much better. Bella just had to laugh when Indigo pointed to her text book, like there was some sort of dire consequence of touching it or something. There is – you’ll die of boredom. “Worst class ever,” she nodded, giving her book one last glare before turning back towards her work. Not thinking about History of Magic didn’t last too long – “What bit are you on?” She figured it out for herself, “Gorge the Gruesome? [/i]” Bella sighed weakly, as if there were no worse topic to be discussing then the stupid troll – and there possibly wasn’t. “Sadly enough, yeah – I just spent who knows how long trying to come up with a good comparison between him and Bloody Backbone.” She rolled her eyes, “‘They’re both complete idiots’ didn’t sound like much of an answer.” Bella smirked – the statement was entirely truthful. “ Well I think it’s lovely, so it’s not nothing.” Another little round of blush…God, why was it something you couldn’t control? An annoying involuntary action that couldn’t be overcome – the definition, in Bella’s opinion, of a blush. “Thanks,” she repeated, tracing over a tree with a little more heart. Indigo proceeded with a not-so-fascinating description of her life for the time being. Bella noted with curiosity that she hadn’t mentioned Regulus in the mix – she had had vain hope she might get to finally hear about the other half of the story. Regulus had already openly admitted how much he cared for the girl sitting beside Bella now; he’d mentioned doubts he had over whether Indigo cared just as much – Bella could easily help him out with those worries if she could just get the Gryffindor to talk. It was hard to keep her mouth shut, but she really didn’t have much of a justifiable reason of how she knew about their relationship. And the last thing she needed to tell Regulus’s girlfriend was that Bella had ran into him at Hogsmeade and spent the night talking. That would not help the pair in any way. And she didn’t want to have to go through the awkward conversation of convincing Indigo that she and Regulus were just friends. All too soon the topic at hand shifted back to her though; is Indigo hiding her relationship with Regulus as much as I am about Drew? It was even harder to not just come out and demand to know how she felt about Regulus after that thought. “Um, not a lot I guess,” Bella shrugged, trying to think of something she could safely tell her friend. “I’ve kind of been getting behind in homework lately, so I’ve just been trying to catch up.” It wasn’t a complete lie, and easily enough shared.[/blockquote][/size]

She could feel the akwardness between them, mostly due to the fact that Bella wasn't too keen on Indigo being a busybody and breathing down her neck. So instead, she scooted a nice space away and lent her head back against the bark of the old oak tree that was shading them from the unpleasant sun. Certainly people could use a fair lesson in the art of silence. Indi was quite aware and ready for silence, but when she was caught up in an argument with a person, it was down right impossible for her to back down, and she just kept going. Whether it was until she won, or they were both too tired to come up with another witty retort, it was the only time it ended. Stubborness, in her world, always prevailed. It was just that vigorous, 'I have to win just because' attitude that got her into a lot of feuds and broken friendships. And yet, on how to fix that growing problem, she still couldn't understand. HOM simply did not seem necessary to most people, but at least she saw the reasoning behind it.
For witches and wizards such as herself, it was needed for them to understand the history of their kind. A lot of people forget that Indigo wasn't raised in the wizarding world, which is why the class is so good, if not dreadfully boring. She can catch up with others, and be aware of what's going on. Her father made sure she always knew the latest wizarding news; but it's still difficult to learn what others have had their whole lives to know, after only four years. Indigo laughed hard, Isabella had a way of making her do so. "Probably not one of your best ideas Bella. But, good try though." The professor would roll their eyes, and then write a big "T" for troll across it. Maybe if she was lucky, she would get a D. "Hmm well let's see...." She picked up Bella's paper and scanned over it voluntarily. "You have a nice start at least....." That's about all....she had to be honest, it's what she did best.
After trying to think of a few tips to give her, Indigo just brushed it off and paper the paper back in her book. She knew that she was going to have to do the same in a bit, and didn't want to give away all her ideas. Not like she had any at the moment, anyway. She was actually rather blank, and that was very odd. Usually she had at least something worth commenting, but not today. She nodded her head briefly as Bella gave her bit of thanks and took another light sip of her water. If you asked her what her favorite drink was, she'd most definitely say water. So generic, but original. How many people loved just plain water? Indigo was trying to keep her own mind off her guy, and it looked as if Bella were trying to do the same. Their topic of conversation was so dull, it could make the most boring person scream. "You? Behind in homework? Bella!" She smirked, waiting for some sort of explanation. "There wouldn't happen to be a boy perse, distracting you?" As disconnected as this girl was, she was still like every other girl, and she liked gossip. So sue her.

Bella was able to slow her fast working mind when Indigo finally feel silent; she didn’t necessarily dislike her company, but with so many other things running around through her brain it was almost difficult to squeeze in a normal conversation. Honestly, what would it be like to have a normal life and you didn’t have to worry about your dying mother? Icily she thought the biggest thing Indi has to worry about is her boyfriend. Again the springing through to just ask about Regulus poked her, but she kept it at bay. She didn’t need anymore gossip to spread around.
After a few more lines and a brisk signature at the bottom, Bella set her quill down and stretched her fingers, opening and closing them quickly to get the blood rushing back into her hands. He silence that had seemed to over come the pair was both their minds wanderings; clearly Indigo had her own troubles to worry over. Bella still was moody enough to believe she had worst problems then her friend, but shoved that into the depths of her mind. She’d almost made up her mind about just bringing Regulus up when Indigo cut the silence: “You? Behind in homework? Bella!” She looked sincerely shocked that Bella would ever let it get out of hand; and well, Bella was too. In all her life she couldn’t ever remember getting behind until now. “There wouldn’t happen to be a boy perse, distracting you?” Shock gave Bella away, her wonder in just how Indigo had found out clearly expelled on her face. She really had to work on that, keeping her thoughts strictly in her head and not on her face.
Well, she might as well tell someone. Besides, she wouldn’t even be able to lie her way out of it now. Indigo would already know just by her reaction. “Yeah, kind of,” Bella admitted, fidgeting with the corner of her parchment. She curled and uncurled it, speaking to her hands – a bad tendency. “I sort of accidentally stayed out all night long with Drew…Marino,” she added as an after though, unsure if Indigo would even know him. Suddenly Bella lightened up, familar with the exchanging of news. “It was probably one of the best nights of my life, but the next day I paid for it. The result is this pile of crude.” She waved loosely towards her book bag. “I don’t regret it though,” she amended, and then finally broke down: “What about you? Anyone special?” What the heck – a girl could always use more gossip.
OOC: Alright, I just have to say, I find it rather hilarious to type things such as "wondering if Indigo even knew him [Drew]" for OBVIOUS reasons...*Laughs*

ooc: lol that's good
She couldn't tell what Bella was thinking all of a sudden, no matter how hard she tried at it. Indigo's lips formed a thin line and she pouted, crossing her arms across her chest, pretending like she was only cold. The truth was, when things even slightly didn't go her way, she got annoyed. It didn't even have to be at a person, it could be to no one in particular, but she still did. The thought that crossed Bella's mind Indi would have no idea about, even though it was far from the truth. It always seemed like there was too much to deal with, too much to struggle to get through. The thing was, most people thought Indigo had it all very together, very organized and figured out. That's how she acted, because it was her way to deal with it. Facing her present was bad enough, facing her past, present, and future, was alltogether too much for any one person to handle. Talk about a scary grip of reality.
She couldn't get through life without catching glimpses of what's to come, while at the same time, Indigo tries to figure out how to handle her father and step-mother. She wasn't going to get married to the first idiot that her father liked, he would have to...deal. Feeling completely alone wasn't a new feeling to her, and it seemed natural to have that feeling always around. She didn't even bother to think about her past, her past is exactly what made her who she was today, and utter mess. In her oppinion, it's what totally messed her up. A second of all, she couldn't even figure out why it had happened. It was a tender subject, and therefor wasn't dealt with. Ha! She could read Bella's emotions once again, and sheer shock crossed the girl's face as she hit the bullseye. Yes yes, she knew, she had a marvoulous talent.
Undoing the cap of her water, her intention was to take the last big gulp of her water. However, when the name Drew Marino came out, instead of taking a nice swallow of refreshing water, she choked on it, water coming out in splurts and dripped down her chin. So unpleasant, so un-ladylike, so horrific. Still, she was too distracted to say anything about that, even if she could. Coughing, and trying to breath, she patted her chest and looked up. Oh, what marvelous grace Bella encountered today. "Marino." She finally sputtered out. It really wouldn't have come out so bad, if she wasn't still trying to get past the water that was permantly congugating in her wind pipe. She was out late into the night with him? Uh, gag me. I'd rather eat my left foot, and I mean it too. "Sorry....it went down the wrong tube." Indigo said finally, an akward cover up after that.
Wiping off her chin, she set the bottle down in the grass with distaste, a sudden turn off from anything water. Water always tried to kill her, she should have known better. Even bottled what was out to get her. "Yeah, that's usually how it goes. You have a wonderful day, but there's always consequences after." She didn't want to say it but......oh ok, honestly, she did want to. So she would. "Are you sure you really want to be around him? I mean....he's not exactly clean cut." Of course, she didn't exactly take her own advice on things, considering she was usually attracted the the ones who didn't follow the rules. Indi didn't say anything else, not in the mood to upset Bella by tearing down her crush or boyfriend, or whatever. Still, Indigo and Drew, in a word.....loathed each other. "Um yeah." She continued on with the rest of the conversation. "Regulus Black actually. He's adorable." I'm sure a guy wouldn't exactly find that as a compliment, but girls would get what she meant.

Whatever thoughts running through Bella’s head quickly vanished when Indigo appeared to be having some sort of near-death experience with her water. Bella stared at her in something of worry for a moment, but then simply got annoyed. She wasn’t choking on water because, as she claimed, it had ‘gone down the wrong tube,’ but because of the name Bella had given. She still seemed not able to breathe as she chocked out “Marino” and took in a few deep breaths to regulate the choking. Bella would admit that perhaps Drew wasn’t the most popular amongst the general public, but instinctively she felt overprotective and foolishly offended that Indigo had responded like that. One of the flaws in their friendship: sometimes they simply just didn’t agree.
Bella almost thought about forgiving her, but then she stuck her nose where it didn’t belong: “Are you sure you really want to be around him? I mean...he’s not exactly clean cut.” Already defensive, she replied coolly “He’s perfectly fine. Who would want some stuck up gentlemen anyways? At least Drew brings a bit of excitement. Besides,” she added knowingly, having known Indigo’s answer before she even said it, “Reg isn’t exactly the perfect ideal for a clean cut person. He’s one of the most ‘rough around the edges’ guys that I’ve ever met.” And that wasn’t a complete lie, but somehow using Regulus for her argument didn’t feel fair. At least not to him; she really didn’t mind Regulus at all, and felt bad about using his desired bay-boy reputation against him. But then she replayed Indigo’s words, and her anger rekindled.
“I mean honestly,” she mused dryly, “What makes you one to judge?” Quickly Bella was becoming snappy, irritated just because of one little statement. It seemed stupid to get all worked up over it, but it was already too late. She glanced over at Indigo, who seemed just as irked. Mimicking her posture, Bella huffed and folded her arms, redirecting her attention across the Courtyard. She just stared for a moment unseeingly, and the let out a long breath. “Drew’s not all that bad,” she amended in a lighter tone, trying to make up for her rudeness.

ooc: It's so much better when you hate your own character haha
Please, it wasn't as if Bella's reaction to Indi's honesty was anything new. She had to be on something if she thought it was going to take her by surprise. In fact, she didn't bat an eye at first, just shrugged her shoulders, as if to say 'that's how it is.' Indigo had not set out to egg Isabella on, and still wasn't up to anything like it, but she wouldn't pretend the utter dislike between her and Drew wasn't there. The fact of the matter was, it was down right laughable to think that they could actually get along. Very different, sure. But complete opposites-let's just say opposites attract is the biggest lie in history. As it was, Indigo had a few friends in every house except for Hufflepuff, where Bella was one of the only ones. Something about her and that house usually didn't click. Coming off rude was normal, and apologising, was not. Besides, what did she have to apologise for? Indi didn't say anything she hadn't meant. So it would be meaningless and simply pointless.
Smoothing out the wrinkles in her dress with her hands, she played with the fabric as Bella's retorts came on. Indi smiled, looking much less like she was being scolded, and more like she had just been told a joke. Emotions hardly ever came into play with her. "No one's perfectly fine Bella, because no one is perfect." Everyone had their own faults, and being judgemental and down right blunt, was Indigo's. Her eyes narrowed at the other girl's random attack on Regulus. She held her head high while always keeping eye contact with Bella before replying cooly, "There's a difference between rough and totally foolish." Some of the things Drew ended up doing made the Gryffindor's head spin. He was a prefect, yet he had absolutely no regard to authority. "I judge because I can. Because if I don't judge, then I might end up regretting it later, because I'm around someone who can change me. Besides, what else is there to do?"
It wasn't a question she was looking for an answer for, but knowing Bella, she might just answer it anyway. Half the time, the two could get along well or decently, the other half, they were constantly butting heads. It all depended on who or what they were talking about. Watching the steam finally cool of on the other girl, Indi took a new turn. "I didn't say he was awful. That's not what I meant. I'm just biased because, we don't get along, so that's my opinion. But if he makes you happy, then that's fine." Far be it for her to interfere in a relationship, especially between two huffles. "I mean, you know..." She shrugged, trying to think of something good, "At least he's funny." That was probably as far as she would budge. "There's nothing wrong with Regulus either, despite what a lot may think. He's trying to be different than the rest of them."

OOC: Tell me about it; there’s a standing agreement of loathing between Isabella and Kalib. *Chuckles*
Apparently it didn’t matter much of what she said to defend Drew, because Indigo was stubborn and that’s all there was to it. Bella had learned early on trying to persuade her was practically downright impossible. But then again, once you got Bella started on something she wouldn’t give up until she’d proven her point and the other gave up in defeat – the main problem in their friendship. Too similar to not be friends, but too different to be the best of them. She remarked just how silly girls could be, wondering vaguely if guys ever had this problem. The only thing she could come up with was that guys often one-upped another in physical games, like how could throw the hardest punch; girls battled it out with their wits. That just seemed to be the way it was; and it wasn’t changing anytime soon.
“No one’s perfectly fine Bella, because no one is perfect.” Her lips fell into a hard line, finding to the best of arguments for that one. Wasn’t the whole point to look at some imperfect and see all their perfections no matter how few, not the other way around? She could easily list things that she both adored and disliked about Drew – but she could do that with anyone. She’d almost opened her mouth to respond, and then: “There’s a difference between rough and totally foolish. [/i]” The way Indigo said it make it sound like just some simple matter-of-fact. That irked her more then the words really, like she believe she knew everything there was to know about Drew. Bella wished she could fire off some ‘matter-of-fact’ about Regulus, but that was the difference between their views on one another’s boyfriend – Indigo didn’t like Bella’s, but Bella liked Indigo’s. She liked spending time with the Slytherin, and she knew f she lied over something he’d eventually hear about it, and she just wasn’t willing to risk their friendship over a squabble with his girlfriend. “ I judge because I can. Because if I don’t judge, then I might end up regretting it later, because I'm around someone who can change me. Besides, what else is there to do?” Bella was slowly becoming more irked with every word rolling of her tongue – she made it sound like she only ever dated because she got bored. “You’re right,” Bella finally answered, rather heated, “You are biased on the whole matter – I can’t believe you ever got Regulus to go out with you, being like that. I mean, wouldn’t he realize you just thought of him as the Slytherin bad-boy with a horrid reputation because that’s what all Slytherin are? You being so judgmental and all. That’s the only way you could see him.” Bella rolled her eyes for good measure, her arms still folded crossly against her. She’d talked to Regulus about Indigo a few times, and she’d always agreed with how brilliant she was, wishing him the best of luck with her – but now she could see no good logical reason for the pair to be together. She’d admit, Regulus was a lot different from most of the snakes around Hogwarts, but really… Of course, Bella knew she wasn’t being fair – she was just worked up over Indigo’s dislike of Drew. Picking on Indigo’s relationship was just her way of getting back. Bella let out a sigh, and undid her arms, lacing her fingers together in her lap. Though speaking to Indigo, she stared at her hands “We’re quite the pair, aren’t we?” she mused dryly, “Me and you I mean – no one would have ever guessed we could be friends.” She glanced up in apology, not able to hold onto her argument any longer; she wasn’t going to win against Indigo. “Go figure.”[/blockquote][/size]

ooc: lol, for some reason it's amusing that way
Seeing that Bella got more and more upset by the minute, several thoughts wents swimming around in Indigo's head. A few of which were that this girl displayed every emotion on her face, and she got annoyed far too easily. Indi did as well, so she knew where it was coming from. Neither one liked to be told that they were wrong, or have someone they liked openly critized. But Indigo felt if she didn't say it, it was almost the same as lying, by keeping it to yourself. Annoyed switched to angry, and angry switched to furious. Every new line the Gryffindor fed Isabella, was another tongue lash in Bella's mind. Indi didn't feel as if she was saying anything wrong, which was the biggest problem. And once you got her going, it was hard to get her to stop. Don't ever change the subject, that just made her go on more. Drew had some good qualities about him, she had to admit, she just overlooked them at this point. He used to be her friend/boyfriend, and most people knew she didn't take kindly to ex-friends. Clearly, that was something she had forgotten to mention to bella. Mostly due to the fact that she stayed friends with people through it all; it was only recently that she started to disregard people.
you are biased on the whole matter. "I'm curious as to what exactly you expect from me? Do you think I'd prance about and tell you marvelous things about him, if we don't get along? What a facade that I'm not willing to entertain. I'm completely here, and I don't try to hide who I am." In other words, she didn't keep secrets or pretend to be something she wasn't. Oops, she lied. She hated when she unintentionally did that. "Interesting that you always have to go after Regulus whenever you don't have a proper defense. As if you could leave me defenseless in that way. I've never though of him like that, if you must know. Because, I know slytherins, unlike you and so many other. I practically am slytherin, or so my father says." She rolled her eyes, hating that he always stated that. He said if it wasn't for her being weak, she would be. Just because he was, he automatically assumes everyone else is dying to be one of them. Well, she hoped he knew, this was one gryffindor who's fine with the house she has. Coming back to the present, she shrugged for added effect. "I see people differently than everyone else, not like you would know." Indigo judged them, but it doesn't mean she did the same way the rest of them did.
Bella had ruffled her feathers, but not enough to break the serene girl's composure. She maintained a cool, and rather rude, attribute throughout the whole thing. Watching Swan's slow retreat, her arrogant look faded away, and it changed back to that of a person who looked as though they were having an everyday conversation. "Most likely. Then again, most people turn their heads and wonder why some of the people who are friends with me, are. It just goes to show they don't get it, and sometimes, neither do we. You have to understand Bella, fighting is a habit for me. I really have no control over it any more than I do the weather. You'll have to come to a decision of it. If you can take it, then all is well. If you can't well, then, I can understand that too." She sighed, and brushed through her hair, going back to a recessive, rather than agressive, pose. "All in all, if you're happy, then that's really all that matters isn't it? Don't care so much how others react to it, just go with it." She admired a lot of the traits Bella carried, but a few of the traits she had, were the same as Indigo's. One for example, was caring a bit about the thoughts and reactions of others.

The longer Indigo talked, the more worked up Bella got. Part of her just wanted to smack the girl and force her to shut up. But the more sensible side told her that would not help a thing and most likely land her in detention, which on all costs Bella voided with grace. To blow her perfect record over a silly disagreement hardly seemed logical. Not that Bella had been thinking to logically lately, her mind so scattered brained sometimes she could hardly remember her own name. There just too many things to think about; too many things to worry about… Sometimes life simply seemed too hard, and she wanted to curl up and let it consume her. Just get it over with quickly. How pathetic.
The entire thing had been blown out of proportion, that much was so bluntly obvious it made Bella want to laugh out loud at the stupidity of it all. “I know, I know,” she answered, idiotically fighting off her laugh, “I can’t expect you to like everyone I decide to date. Likewise, you can’t expect it from me either. The fact that I have no problem with Reg is just sheer coincidence.” Bella shook her head, trying to work out what exactly she planned on saying. “I’ve just been such an emotional wreck lately, I can’t even begin to tell you. I have enough of my own problems right now, and then having you so openly dislike Drew… God, like I need to worry about that when my stupid mother just died.”
Whoops. Bella internally kicked her self over and over, wishing she could take it back. She had been so careful not to let anyone know, and now her number one gossip buddy had just found out. She hadn’t even told Drew; she’d admitted it to Brianna, and of course Regulus already knew – her mother’s death was the whole cause of their friendship as silly as it sounded. But know having Indigo know; Bella wanted to just lie down and die right there. “I mean,” she backtrack quickly, “I’ve just had a lot on my mind with the whole thing. Sometimes Drew really is my only motion for happiness; it makes me forget all the bad stuff, you know?” Indigo could understand that much at least, couldn’t she…? And she was desperately in vain hoping to distract her.

"Now you know, I would never expect you to like everyone I date....after all, I date quite a lot." She smirked, managing to nudge Bella on the shoulder and blow the whole thing over. It was often that she did that, but then again, there was a lot of things she wasn't used to doing, that she now was. Indi wasn't in any hurry to date anyone else but Regulus, and that scared her. She didn't want to think about how attached she might already be to him. Instead, she moved the topic about Regulus onto Bella with an interested eye. "You, actually get along with Regulus Black?" Something about that just didn't seem right. "Why," She placed a delicate hand over her heart. "I am downright shocked and horrified. The next thing you know, you're going to go out and, I don't know, make friends with Narcissa." Indigo laughed, and you knew any problem they had had before, was at least to her, long gone. She was obviously joking, seeing as she wasn't even sure that girl was friends with anybody. She couldn't imagine what a pain it would be like to have to be around that.
Oh wait, she could. Because every time she went 'home', she was around it all...day....long. Bleh, it left a bad taste in the mouth just remembering such times. "You must remember, I, am a highly opiniated person. So there." She held up her head proudly with a very fake air, before finally cracking a smile and bringing it back down again. The upturn of her lips immediately creased downwards as Bella brought up the death of her mother. She knew the two weren't on friendly terms, but it still wasn't a good time. She knew....probably almost more than anyone how horrible it was to lose a mother, when you felt hatred for her at the time. "I'm sorry Bella." The only time she used that word, when it was in sympathy. Indigo folded her hands across her lap and stared at Bella. Sometimes, it scared people or made them awfully uncomfortable. Because when she had that look, it was almost as if she were staring through their soul.
Her backtrack practically went unnoticed, because Indigo knew exactly what Bella was trying to do....distract her from a tibit she hadn't planned on sharing, at least with her. If she didn't want anyone to know, Indi wouldn't tell anyone. She was a gossip, but she was also so talented on holding secrets. "He's a perfect distraction in other words. I do know what you're talking about Bella, trust me, I know." She looked away from the girl sitting next to her for the first time, and stared out past the lake. "The last thing you want to do, is let everything that's happened catch up to you, because you're afraid that if it does, you'll lose that pefect charade you've been trying to keep up for all these years." She added very distantly, not just talking about Bella now. Indi wrung a part of her dress in her nimble fingers, thinking too much again. "And then, what's the point? Because everyone will know that you're not put together and have everything figured out. That you're just one big mess that you simply can't cover up anymore. And maybe then, it'll be even worse than if you just didn't let yourself feel anything at all."

Bella couldn’t even recall whatever Indigo had just said; she could scarcely take in the fact that she was talking. Again her nightmare was coming back to her, and it scared her, because normally she could keep it hidden when she was awake. But there she was, walking down that silly path in the forest, feeling very alone because she didn’t have Drew’s hand to hold anymore. She was alone, in a sense, but at the same time she knew someone was around, calling her towards it, whatever it was. Bella screamed over and over at herself to just turn around and leave, but she didn’t; she just kept walking, closer with every step she took.
And then the glow was there, a light trail of white leading to where Bella stood. She looked down the path, and there she was: the woman in the hospital gown, the extended wrinkled hand welcoming her closer. And Bella obliged, now standing before her dead self. “What are you doing out here?” Bella asked herself, “What’s wrong Bella?” And she was hopeless to do anything, nearly faint from the IVs strand that hung from her forearm. She just stood in front of her dead self, knowing what would come next. “Isabella?” And then the recognition came: she wasn’t standing in front of herself, she was standing in front of her mother. And her brain caught up, wheeling herself around to run away as fast as she could. The part of her that was consciously aware that she was still sitting beside Indigo waited for the unicorn to appear, and there it was, guiding her way down the path. It would disappear soon. And then it was dark, which meant Drew would show up soon. She just had to keep running a little longer.
Suddenly she wasn’t running anymore, Drew had finally come. He held her firmly by the shoulder and shook her, “Bella, what’s wrong?” he asked over and over. She was safe, for all of a moment, until he became the father she’d dreamed up. The man didn’t have a face; she’d never met her father. Bella screamed at him to let her go, but he wouldn’t – he held her right there for the corpse of her mother to come and finish her off.
Suddenly reality hit her again, gasping for air that she’d accidentally be holding. Alarmed, Bella held herself together around her waist, foolish tears beginning to line her eyes. She was hardly aware there were people around anymore, her nerves worked up to the point of near exhaustion. “I can’t…stop…thinking about her,” she whispered hoarsely, closing her eyes against her tears. Bella had been so good about not crying lately, and to have all her efforts to be wasted now. So…stupid… “I can’t do this anymore,” she continued almost to herself, “I can’t.” She would have to demand a reply from Ms. Drivels now; she needed answers.
