“Ah, but what could a delicate angel like yourself hide from the public eye? Surely your perfection is one that can’t be matched…” The words rolled smoothly, the part of him that couldn’t help but flaunt over her dominating momentarily. Really, Kalib needed to learn how to keep his mouth shut sometimes. Naturally, he retorted silently what harm is there to show compassion through words? Almost instantly he had a battle raging within the hidden dwellings of his mind although he was very careful to not let it show, keeping his expression teasingly curious to her criminal record. “I have my connections you know,” he continued lightly, pulling out the card of his father, “A simple owl is all it would take to get a full, detailed history on you. What is there you could possible wish to hide, I wonder?” Kalib raised an eyebrow in question, carefully placing his smirk.
He watched carefully then, judging her reaction. Kalib couldn’t stop the grin the lifted his expression, cleansing his mouth with his tongue. Curiously he hinted more then just this Pomegranate fruit. It thrilled him as he realized it was the same lingering taste that often hovered with him after kissing her to very delicately, lining her neck… Kalib had to force himself to stop right there, finding himself eyeing her with the same wondering gaze as he had upon their last kiss. He noted dully that he was sort of greedy that way – he wanted to find out what was there, not just keep guessing. Having allowed Mariella so far into his life was slightly unnerving, but also wildly exciting and he couldn’t help but want to search more, let her in more. Kalib hated himself for even thinking about it at such a time, but aside from one other time, he couldn’t ever remember having anyone so close to him. And sadly, that one time previously hadn’t ended nicely. It was that haunting thought that made him stubbornly determined to go about this relationship correctly.
Needless to say, so lost within his own thoughts it took Mariella’s movements to reel him back to reality. He watched her fiddle with the little fruit and extracted another seed, holding it out for him again. No hesitation clouding him this time, he repeated his actions, though lingering longer this time. As he pulled back from her, he confirmed his previous suspicions of the small after taste, something not entirely fruit. For as wonderful as the fruit tasted, Kalib reckoned she tasted just a little bit better – this was something however, he felt no need to vocalize. Instead, he contented himself with “You seem quite experienced in the arts of feeding a lover; perhaps this feared past of yours has something to do with a past boyfriend? Feed him one too many grape, hmm? Accidental murder, was it?” Of course his hypothesize was absolutely bogus – just as he intended it to be.

'Ah, but what could a delicate angel like yourself hide from the public eye? Surely your perfection is one that can’t be matched…' With each world that simply rolled from Kalib's lips, Mariella could feel her cheeks begin to flame, a red flush beginning to dominate her cheeks. Even after the words had stopped, her blush hadn't stopped growing in intensity until it was a light glow on her dark skin. He was such a sweet talker! But she had dealt with his kind before, she normally could see right through their little facade of words, but why did this one like to burn her down to her very being. Maybe it was because she knew that he wasn't really joking when he complimented her in such a way. That she indeed was being complimented on who she was in his eyes and it wasn't just a spouting of empty words to get what he wanted. Although, she stared at him as if to defy the blush and say that she would not be victim to its mark. She would fight it and continue to 'fight' against him. Although, the idea of actually fighting Kalib was quite laughable in Mariella's eyes, she knowing that would be nothing she'd ever do herself. She just loved their teasing battles.
Mariella was surprised that he would actually go as far to say all that, saying he would check her past. It was written on her face but she quickly batted it back down before rolling her eyes and looking to the side, away from him. She slowly turned her head back towards him, devilish smirk upon her lips as she stared at the young man. "I would not do that if I were you Kalib..."she purred softly, making her voice as close to femme fatale as possible. "It might lead you down a road you may never com back from, and I simply wouldn't want to do that to you..." As if she had led someone array before, led him to an unsuspecting end. A smile slowly began replace her seductive smirk, a chuckle passing by her lips. She wondered if she had actually lured him in with that voice, pulled him in with her low seductive speech. She could bet just as Kalib could draw her into him, she could draw him. She would just have to think a bit more at what to do to succeed in getting him in her clutches. Well, in her imaginary clutches...
Mariella's eyes became half shaded, another purr being drawn from her lips as she felt Kalib's lips linger on her fingertip. Sighing as he pulled back completely, she smirked slightly as he was bringing up the accusations again. She smirked, eyes narrowing dangerously at him, leaning towards Kalib, a mere inch from his face. "If I told you that...then I would have to kill you my dear..."she said with a smirk before pulling back and placing two seeds into her mouth. She bit down, grinning at the juice that squirted into her mouth before pulling more seeds from the fruit and holding it out for him. How many lines had she just ripped off from classic movies? Heh, Mariella knew that their little ploy was all for fun and neither of them was being serious. The hilarity of how much of a tease the two were was so interesting. It was that teenage romance that didn't get to that sickeningly, pet name, cooing love. It was a more...mature kind of of teen romance.

Mmm, Kalib, don’t flatter yourself. But clearly he could simply not think of anything otherwise, loving how adorable she became as her cheeks lifted in a shade. It dropped her a few years, like it was her first love who had just told her she was pretty. Laughably so, Kalib recalled his own first love, Vivienne was her name. He had made the horrible mistake, not being so cunningly wise back then, and once during a nice “play date” accused her of eating like he did and joked about it. Well, needless to say she didn’t really think that was all that funny and in a matter of moments Kalib’s younger self had been dumped, slapped, and gossiped about before he could even blink. At the very least it made him feel good that he had definitely improved in his little realm of swooning women.
It didn’t help much when she looked genuinely shocked that he would even dare lower himself so, even if he could by no means really get any sort of background check on her. Well, she didn’t need to know that. If she thought he could pull some strings to get one, he would just let her go on believing that. Something about that thought make his smirk just a little bit more pronounced. “You think you can scare me, do you?” he asked curiously between fragments. Kalib was certain he had more to his argument, but quite suddenly it became lost as Mariella near-whispered her threat. Wouldn’t like what he’d find, eh? Wouldn’t ever come back? Well, he was certain he had a reply to that too. Although, neither could he reel back. She was far too close to think she could just sit there without being touched, though even as he thought it Kalib was considerably unmovable. God, what is she doing? All he do was blink, mystified by her ways. Could he do that too? He tried to think – which in itself was a feat in his current situation – and recall ever a time where he had unleashed such persuasive measures… Kalib didn’t make it further then that, thoughts in disarray.
As often happened, it took her movements to pull him back. When she finally leaned back, Kalib was willing to bet he’d lost this round. He could feel it on his face – clearly he was confused by her seductive mannerism. Finding his voice, he answered at last “How dare you even consider the possibility of killing me.” He tried to compose his face, confusion into a tease. “Frankly I’m shocked,” he shook his head in wry disappointment, “And here I thought you were in love with me. No, you’re probably just after my riches, right? Perhaps that’s what you’re hiding? Killed your last boyfriend for money?” He said it lightly, but he couldn’t help but dwell on it silently. And here I thought you were in love with me. He kept himself occupied by sliding the seeds from her finger, again lingering some. “These are probably poisonous, aren’t they?” he asked in mock realization, “Yeah, this has probably worked loads of times…” His expression was quite serious…but his eyes danced with laughter.

Mariella's eyes studied his face, eyes beginning to glow as she saw how stumped he seemed. The look of triumphant that came to Mariella's face was priceless, one that simply screamed to the world. 'Aha! I have finally stumped the genius!' she cried in her mind, her smirk coming back to her lips as she stared at him. She could see she had him frozen in his spot, that he wasn't making any move to object to what she was saying, that he wasn't able to find speech. It made her laugh inwardly, a laugh of pure happiness, her eyes twinkling with her joy. She kept the facade up however, looking as serious as she could muster, smirking at her boyfriend teasingly, seductively. She was looking at him like a spider might look at a fly in its web. She knew he couldn't escape her gaze, not now, but she would tease him as long as the two could keep it up. For now, however, she was keeping up in the dominating side of their little cat-and-mouse, secret life game. It was a wonderful game that had infinite possibilities, and it seemed that they were beginning to trail down another road.
'How dare you even consider the possibility of killing me.' She could see his face changing his expression as he talked, biting her bottom lip gently before releasing it and smirking again. Her head cocked to the side slightly, curious of all he was saying. She hated the look of disappointment though, that striking her as peculiar even in a tease. 'And here I thought you were in love with me. No, you’re probably just after my riches, right?' Ouch. That struck her hard, even if it was a tease. She couldn't help the slight look of pain that popped up before her bottom lip poked out. She hated it when her affections or love for Kalib was questioned. It was something that when they first began going out, and even now, had continued to pop up. This was her most meaningful relationship, something that actually did strike her more than just a little spell, something that she knew would last longer in her memory than her other boyfriends. Feeding him, she was slowly teased from the thoughts as he took yet another seed from her. Hmph, well if anything, she could finish this and reassure him that she loved him in all the same way, couldn't she?
"Why exactly do you think I am trying to convince you not to look into my past darling?" she questioned in that soft femme fatale voice, eyes softening as she looked Kalib in the eyes. "I don't think I'd be able to take it if I'd lose you...I simply love you too much...So no more of this looking into my past, okay?" Her voice was a purr, eyes glittering again as she was close to him again, lips just barely pressing against his. Her words were spoken lip-to-lip, before she gave into a chaste kiss that tasted of sweet pomegranate and Kalib. She smirked, this kiss being that of simple teenage lust and nothing more, but she knew that he probably wouldn't mind. Her free hand rose, gently caressing his cheek before slowly moving down his neck and to his shoulder. It rested there, she pushing her body a bit closer to his. She slowly began to pull her body back, although her lips still lingered on his for a few more seconds until she pulled back. Grinning at him, she pulled her hair behind her ear, mouthing 'I love you' before plucking a few more seeds up and offering them for him. "Oh...and your question of if they were poisonous or not, if they were, you'd surely be dead by now..." She giggled softly, winking at Kalib cutely.

Yes, you’ve certainly lost boy. And curse her, Mariella knew it. He knew it had only been a matter of time before he slipped and let her take control over him. It was silly really, the power of influence one human being could have. Kalib tried to argue with himself, she just knows you too well. That in itself scared him as much as it thrilled; sadly every time he caught himself loving her probably more then should be allowed at such an age, his mind annoyingly drifted to the last and also only other relationship he had had like the one he was engulfed in now. He had a secret fear, one he might never own up to vocally, that he was in all truth scared that should it ever end, it would end badly. Nothing good could ever come of such depths. Instantly he retorted that there was nothing wrong with what he was doing – good was coming from it right now. How could he think nothing ever would? But if it ends badly… His mind went in endless circles, becoming unaware of his surroundings. He was scarcely listening as Mariella spoke again, more pressing matters clouding his mind.
Finally the word love broke into his concentration and then she was too close again, too close that she could think she could get aware untouched like the last time. “So no more of this looking in my past, okay?” He knew things she would keep from his were the silly girls things, like when you accidentally tripped in the middle of a crowded room on a flat surface, or when you were little and your mother wouldn’t let you go play on the swings because you could get hurt. Everyone had their secrets, and he wasn’t going to pry for them. It would come back and bite him, if she ever knew of things he had done. “I won’t do any background checks on you if you don’t get any on me.” Kalib couldn’t hide the note of seriousness in his voice, but his mind went fuzzy again, lost in her livid, quick kiss. It didn’t help much when she cradled him, smoothly tracing his collar bone and ended with her delicately place hand on his shoulder. For one fleeting moment he realized how fragile she really was, compared to his body-build from taking frustrations out with weights. But before he could really decide anything, she leaned away, looking satisfied in some way. “I love you.” Kalib couldn’t do anything but smile at her, needing no words to let her know he felt similarly… “More then you could ever know,” he murmured almost to himself. Every time he let them know how much he cared, he went right back around and hurt them…
Clearly he could picture everything, every detail to perfection. He was back in Danielle’s arms, his Danni, his one true love. There was no one else, he was so certain. She felt the same way; they were never going to be separated. Ever. That was it; he was taken. No one would ever be able to break him again because he wouldn’t ever get close enough to them to do so. He already had someone. He wanted to tell her, he wanted to show her. She didn’t mind, no one was home. They went too far; and abruptly the scene changed, she was yelling at him; she didn’t love him anymore. Her life was ruined – she couldn’t do anything, she had someone to take care of now. A little child that he wasn’t allowed to touch; a little child that was in the care of her mother right now. And then her father, God was he angry with him. He would have been disowned Kalib had he been a son he was so mad. Her mother, he never heard her voice again, so ashamed for him. What had he done wrong? He was supposed to marry his sweet Danni; they had it all planned out. Her father put an end to that real quick, too young; too stupid; what were you thinking?
Suddenly he looked at Mariella in clearer sight, understanding that it was happening again. He couldn’t bare it if she ever even whispered the horrible words he had had to endure when Danielle had screamed at him, swore at him. But he couldn’t stop himself from loving her as much as he did; he was already in too deep. You let her get close to you, mistake number one. But he didn’t fully believe it was a mistake…he was just…scared… Kalib was aware he had been silent for too long, taking a not-so-lovely stroll down memory lane. He tried to focus again, grasp at the parts of him that believe he was going about this correctly. He wasn’t going to hurt her. Although apparently she still believed it was humorous that she could kill him with a simple seed, “It’s nice to know that’s what you think about in your free time,” he chuckled, shaking his head. His buoyant humor hadn’t been seared, still as happy as he had been five minutes ago. Kalib had been careful, not letting it show even though he had said nothing for too long. “I don’t think I can ever eat anything you offer me again.” Contradicting his word, he ate the offered seed. “Shame really.”

'I won’t do any background checks on you if you don’t get any on me.' Mariella could feel the seriousness, but nodded her head as if to lock the deal. No man liked a woman that pried, and personally, Mariella found any woman that did that quite undeserving of a boyfriend. To dig into their past lives, whatever may have happened, without trusting them to tell you then really you must be controlling. Mariella knew at times she might press a guy a bit if she was curious about something, although she would never go behind their back to find some lousy information out. She trusted Kalib enough to know that he would tell her anything important she would need to know. Kalib may be a flirt, she had learned that from friends who had told her of his 'antics'. She didn't mind that though, she knew that she was getting into a relationship with the infamous flirt, but she could be one too...She was just ensured Kalib could do nothing to hurt her and if she needed to know something then he would put aside his pride and tell her. 'More then you could ever know'
She could feel her cheeks glowing as her eyes suddenly broke away from gazing at him and dropped to her legs, biting her bottom lip gently in an affectionate bliss. He bestowed upon her such sweet, kind words, something that always proved to warm her body to the very depths of her young soul. It made her feel so special to him, that she was his world...well not that far but at times it did feel that good. Mariella's hand rose, brushing her hair again behind her ear, feeling the almost searing heat of her blush against her slightly colder fingertips. This always seemed the overwhelming affect of his love on her...she loved all of it so much, it something that seemed to put that extremely lively glow in her eye and an extra pep in her step. Kalib just knew how to make her feel so much more special, so important, like she was more than a pretty face and an accent. That had been the only influence for some men dating her in the past, she had to learn from mistakes. But Kalib...he definitely was no mistake.
Mariella's shoulders shrugged as he took another seed, before getting an idea. Scooting forward, made a small pop up and dropped herself in Kalib's lap. Well, it was much easier to feed him if she was directly in front of him as she was now. She was sitting to the side, her side pressing against his front, she gently nipping his neck before moving back. Still in his lap, she offered him another seed with a grin. "I really hope you don't mind..." she murmured softly, looking him over. "And I wouldn't poison you dear...that's cowardly!" She smiled wide at him before eating her own seed and chuckling softly.

Kalib couldn’t recall every having to try so hard to remain focused on what was going on around him as opposed to what had happened to him long ago. It was something he had decided to bury, to never let her name ring in his ears again or let her perfect face pierce his vision or allow in any way, shape, or form have her cloud his mind so vividly. Because after that, always, he had to listen to her fervent screams at him, watch her perfect face be filled with outrage aimed at him, to what her hate him so venomously that it tore him apart every time.
He had been doing better lately, such a wonderful distraction always pushing Danielle away from him. It was in that frame of mind that he finally looked up, surprised to see Mariella looking down. For a moment he feared he hate hurt her, his silence too much. Another promise broken. But then he studied her closer, concentrating on letting a different perfection hold his attention. She wasn’t mad at him, he’d just let it slip how much he was entranced by her again: a light blush was covering her cheeks, and knowing he had been the cause made him smile. He wasn’t doing anything wrong.
On some level she seemed to have reached the same conclusion, glancing up at him with a new light shinning in her eyes. He was always curious, what really she was thinking about or what had led her there, but he didn’t have to be curious for very long. She willing shifted herself forward and landed in his lap, her closeness unsurprising to him – he had read that much, at least, in her eyes. She didn’t have to do much, to distract him from things she had yet to learn about; possibly things she would never learn about. Maybe she had notice, her buoyancy now an attempt to pull him out of his sudden silence. Whatever the reason, he appreciated the gesture, and the soft, lingering way her lips left his neck burning. The stands of hope he had been clinging to seemed to grow quite suddenly – you’re not doing anything wrong. He laced his arms around her waist and kept her close, an unbreakable lock that he wasn’t about to loosen any time soon.
Hearing her voice only lead his mind to further distraction, her finally leaving his mind for good, or at least enough time for him to go about his day normally. “How can you possibly think I would mind?” he mused, ignoring her poisonous comment. Kalib tightened his grip around her as proof, but more with his right then left; right secured around her waist, left enjoying her smooth skin as he cradled her neck. He kissed her forehead gingerly and let his gaze then hold hers – she had to have known he would get his revenge, sooner or later…well, he’d chosen sooner. “Honestly, you don’t have to worry about that. Out of all the things that could cloud your extraordinary mind, worrying over whether or not I’d want distance is rather insignificant.” His voice was low, using the edge that made every girl go mad. Maybe he was taken, but that didn’t stop him from being the biggest known flirt at Hogwarts.

Mariella smiled warmly, a heat passing through her body as she felt his arms wrap around her waist in such a tender embrace. She was his and only his now, she couldn't break away and laugh and joke...Not at this moment at least. Not like she'd want to either, to be held in such an embrace was pure bliss. She smiled, as it seemed her senses were heightened, seemingly picking up on every small detail that Kalib possessed. She could feel how warm his body was through the t-shirt, she could feel his muscles press against her toned curves. The pomegranate seemed to fall to the way side, now sitting beside the young couple rather in Mariella's hand for she had better uses for it than simply holding a fruit. Her hand lightly placed itself against his chest, sliding up until she rested it exactly at the point she had been looking for. Her hand rested over his heart, pressing gently against the spot and smiling as she could feel each beat. This was who her heart beat for, maybe he didn't know but this was the man that her heart did belong to. Did his heart beat for hers as well...?
'How can you possibly think I would mind?' Mariella could only reflect on the question and realize that Kalib wouldn't have minded her in his lap. She just, well, was making sure. She didn't know why, but the peculiar silence that had followed had gone as something not too unnerving in her eyes, but she still noted it. She just wanted to make sure he was okay...The way he was holding her now though, now pulling her closer to him, tighter against his body, a warmer smile painted itself onto her lips. Her eyes just seemed to have turned their attention on Kalib, just communicating how much she loved him, how deeply and madly she had fallen for him. Her skin felt as if it had been seared as he touched it, she begging inwardly for him to stay right there forever, to keep kissing her and holding her and to just stay right where they were and be happy. Her eyes had turned a light cocoa brown in color, staring at Kalib's darker ones, glimmering in her happiness.
Mariella felt her eyes grow a fraction larger as she heard his voice, a blush rising to her cheeks as his voice rose to her ear. That voice that he was using, such a wonderfully tantalizing sound that just made her heart pound, her face flush and her brain go to mush. It was not only the voice that seemed to blind side her but at the same time he used that voice, he dare compliment her! Mariella couldn't find her tongue, couldn't find her mind, all she could was stare at Kalib. Her eyes showed her confusion over what she was supposed to do, over exactly what was going on with her mind while at the same time showing how much she still adored him. Such power should not be bestowed upon in one man! It just wasn't fair! Oh, once she was out of this trance, she knew he would have something for him!

Kalib found himself perfectly lost, lost in something that was much bigger then him or her, or even combined it still could tower over them. Only once before. That was as far as he let himself go, now concentrating solely on Mariella and committing every detail to memory. It wasn’t too hard, her being so close, to carefully eye her and make sure he missed nothing. She didn’t seem to mind, for her eyes were tracing over him as well, to which he couldn’t have been more pleased about. He’d been good about looking at her eyes and no lower, but he let himself stray, noting how her fluent tan colored her legs in a golden glow. Compared, he was certain he looked pale – maybe on normal standards he was tan, but next to her he couldn’t have been whiter. He focused back upward, noticing her eyes also held a warm glow that had recently appeared. For a sheer moment he felt self pity for himself, something that rarely happened – how could he had been granted with such a wonder after the things he had done?
A light touch on his chest made him finally break concentration, looking down as her hand gently followed the indents of his chest before stopping where he knew it would, the gentle beat foolishly accelerating: he knew his heart would give him away, the pulse so clearly felt. He supposed it didn’t matter though; after all, if she hadn’t figure it out by now, he clearly had wasted a large amount of time with her; more specifically, if she hadn’t figured out he was in love with her, he had definitely wasted time. But Kalib was aware he hadn’t, that he received just as much back as he gave. That much was clear, the way he could hold her stare…
The small ounce of confusion she couldn’t hide brought Kalib a lot of satisfaction, and on any other day he would have let his smirk appear…he would have allowed for a casual tease but somewhere in the depths of his mind he knew today was different. Today had been for them to figure things out, to see where they really stood. He wanted to know, he was so curious… As if her stomach had never interrupted them, Kalib leaned into her breath and kissed her carefully, searching, curious, wondering…nothing lustful and nothing teasing. But the drop of responsibility in him gave him the strength to stop, a layer contentment placed over him. Without a word he maneuvered himself to rest his cheek gently on her heart, closing his eyes against the quiet beating. “Mmm,” he sighed, taking a deep breath of whatever perfume she dressed herself in. It seemed to radiate off her, in a soft manner instead of one that made you turn your nose up against it. “Gorgeous, you don’t know what you do for me…” And it was true, she could never know…it just wasn’t possible…it was a feeling she created for him…only him.

Mariella felt his heart beats begin to pick up in pace, beginning to accelerate as soon as she had touched it. She smiled her fingertips gently stroking the area as she had found her answer in this. He obviously let his heart beat for her, she could already feel it, it was just her odd longing to be completely assured of such a fact that had led her to do such an action. Not to mention, she wanted to be even closer to him, feeling his life force. That was the strange thing about the heart, it's two forms. The metaphorical one that was always used to represent love and its strength over a person. The one that Mariella felt every time she looked at Kalib, a feeling of such intensity that she was surprised it hadn't caused her to experience an overload of emotions yet. It was something that kept a hold of your life force, that if one was left without it too long, you would turn bitter and hateful. Or...you'd wither away...Then there was the anatomical heart, the one that Muggles studied and such, the one that kept blood flowing through your veins. The one that could betray your emotions of excitement or fear. Both held the strings to your very life force in such a strong fashion while giving off two different forms. One purely scientific while the other explains so much more. In Mariella's eyes, she preferred the metaphorical explanation of the heart to the boring scientific any day. Love was much better than any Muggles reason for living...
Mariella's mind was brought from the thoughts of hearts and the works and all they meant as she saw Kalib moving closer. As soon as his lips touched her own, she felt a spark run through her and the explorations that had been interrupted and ended so abruptly earlier were going to continue. She, however was not the initiator of the kiss, that honor belonged to Kalib as he began to do his own careful searching as she had done. That same feeling as before was beginning to rise in her chest, this time stronger than before for her mind was not as focused on searching as it had been before. It was pure feeling now. A soft, almost inaudible moan slipped its way pass Mariella's lips as she felt Kalib pull back. She didn't want his lips gone from hers but with her like such putty in his hand, she really was at no spot to say anything to object to what Kalib was doing. She could only sit there as she felt Kalib smoothly maneuvered them both into a position in which his head was resting lightly against her bosom, right above her heart.
She could feel her own heart begin to pick up its pace at such a close contact, smiling down at him. She knew he could hear it but could only hope her heart didn't sound as loud as it did in her head. It was that effect that he had over her, that effect that always seemed to send her body into a happy fever, for she now was warmer and maybe glowing a bit brighter. She smiled slightly as she heard the slight hum, only assuming that he was relaxing or had picked up scent of her perfume, may be a bit of both. It was Penhaligon's Violetta, something that had caught Mariella's eyes because of its advertising. 'Violetta is soft, sweet, deep and powdery with a subtleness and delicacy that reflect the dark beauty of this mysterious flower' That had been the message that lured her in and it seemed that she was not the only one pleased by the scent. Mariella gently cradled Kalib's head to her chest, her fingertips gently exploring and caressing his face as she looked down at him in pure contentment. 'Gorgeous, you don’t know what you do for me…' She could feel her cheeks begin to glow as she flushed slightly, shaking her head slightly. She got the feeling she had a small amount of understanding...like the two were destined to be together. She wouldn't say anything though, she just wanted to hold him close for now, to hold him and love him....Bending down, she placed a light kiss on his forehead, her hair creating a curtain of sorts around the two, gently caressing his face as she sat up.

Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. That seemed about right, covering what he had figured out for himself. If this wasn’t it, he wasn’t sure what he was going to do when he found it. There was a wide range of emotions and thoughts running through him that it was hard to keep up with them, one sentence intruding on another but both making sense all at the same time. How on earth was he supposed to handle any more of that sensation? It seemed unfathomable, incomprehensible; something you just couldn’t do otherwise you would just downright explode with what was going on. Kalib had thought he was braced for all of it, so certain, but he had no idea.
He contented himself with just sitting there, trying to let her scent calm down his over-active mind. Really, he probably had some disease – there was no way one human being could feel that much at once; it was just unhealthy and that’s all there was to it. In that humor he managed to smile, listening: apparently he wasn’t the only one having trouble coping with emotion. That much was clear, the way her fingers tips trailed over his features in the way that could be mistaken for little moths. Had he let himself, Kalib just might have shivered out of pleasure. But he was careful to remain still, unmoving under her touch, her kiss. Perfection.
Whatever her turtleneck was made of, it provided a nice layer of comfort over her skin that made Kalib feel sleepy again, and that just wasn’t acceptable. If he had Mariella all to himself today, the last thing he was going to do was sleep it away, even if it did feel nice just holding her the way he was, embraced back with the same gentleness. He was careful not to alarm her with his movement, straightening to look her in the eye again, glad to note she was still in a solid form of jelly – at his finger tips, so unsure what to do with herself. He was oddly relaxed, and knew he wasn’t capable of using the full force he had been using earlier. “Thanks,” he murmured, although was unsure himself of what he was thanking her for: for giving him lunch? For loving him the way she did? For not shying away if he wanted to be close? For just being alive? Kalib didn’t know, maybe it was everything combined. Whatever the reason, she deserved praise at the highest degree.

Mariella held onto him, continuing to gently stroke his face and stare down at him, just do happy. The buzz of happiness was one that simply wasn't going to subside when they stop holding each other or in the next twenty minutes or probably this whole day. It would most likely end with the end of the two being one, the ending of them as a couple. He just made her too happy, too elated, filled her with so much raw emotion and pure energy it was surprising it hadn't over-filled the brim. Although, what would happen that one day that their emotions filled so much that they'd reach the brim, what would they do then? Would they do that? That is how she would refer to it, almost like the words would poison her if she said them aloud in his presence or even thought them. They were obviously in love, they showed that in every little action they did and every little moment they spent together. They had been building each and every day in their relationship, from their interesting and dramatic start to their explorations of one another to a deeper level today. Would they be ready for that? Would both of them really be ready to face such a wondrous moment and huge step together? Mariella could only wonder where the relationship would go if they did...if they didn't...Although, she would give anything and everything to Kalib because she loved him.
She felt Kalib slowly move away from her embrace that she had him in, he no longer snuggled against her bosom, keeping her warm. Her eyes slowly followed him before focusing on his eyes, blinking in a slow fashion. She smiled slightly, head cocking to the side, curious of why he had moved away but at the same time studying him to see if she could find that out without him telling her. His gaze seemed to speak appreciation, praise, his being thankful. She couldn't help but be slightly confused at this , eye brow rising slightly in curiosity. 'Thanks' This was a confirmation of his thankfulness, but why was he? Biting her bottom lip she continued to stare at him before nodding her head slightly as if to say 'You're welcome... I don't know what for, but you're welcome.' Mariella's hand rose slowly, gently stroking his cheek before letting it drop to the side. It seemed her mind was beginning to pick up again, getting its full function back.
Mariella's gaze with Kalib didn't break however, she just continued to smile before looking down and then up again. "I love you..."she said, her voice soft, eyes shining slightly. She was happily in his arms, he being so gently serious with her right now. She knew she'd love to stay in his arms forever but they did need to move on with their date...After teh rest of festivities, they could finally just cuddle and kiss and explore and be content in one another arms. Looking away from Kalib, Mariella picked up her wand almost regretfully before looking at him. "You ready to go, mi amor?"

It was obvious she was just as confused as he was, both finding each new wave of emotion different then the last and holding the same amount of thrilled fearfulness. It was hard to pin-point just exactly what had possessed him to thank her, and for what was beyond him. It just seemed right, letting her know. And much like himself, she accepted it for what it was worth, whatever that may be. He found it exceedingly frustrating that he simply just couldn’t know what he should do like most times. He would admit it words flowed easily enough around her, but it was more out of impulse then trying to sweep her into his arms out of flirts. If he really wanted to hold her, all he had to do was hold out his arms and she would come running – he didn’t have to try and persuade her to; that made him smile at the very least.
All the same, for as many relationship has he had found himself in, this one definitely not only stole first place, it lead him to believe that maybe he wasn’t as brilliant as he had always falsely assumed. It was hard to think through that, processing that not even he, Kalib Hemlock, master of flirts and the swooning of women, knew what to do at times. Sometimes he was wrong. Mariella indirectly made him question his motives, his behavior. Unknowing to her, she had recently caused a lot of change in him, because for once he was trying to be good. He was trying to prove, perhaps, that he could measure up to her own outstanding perfection and that she didn’t have to be ashamed of him. As silly as it sounded, for as firm and bold he could be at time, self-doubt also clouded his mind frequently and forced him to decide correctly, rather then go with the wrong, much more fun option. Even the oblivious Zane had noticed, commenting the other day that he hadn’t so much as looked at another girl for the past few days. Kalib hadn’t tried to deny the truth.
He had also, sadly enough, grown into the bad habit of letting his thoughts stray too far and forget the others around him, even the most important ones. “I love you.” It cut deeply through his train of thought, pulling him back to the physical world. Kalib smiled gently, “I know you do.” He kissed her lightly, “I love you too.” And this time, in full English. He had been careful to not admit it directly, so certain the minute he did he would turn right back around and hurt her. But pain didn’t come, or regret, or indecision. He meant it; that much was bluntly evident. But time was making fools of them, and even if he wouldn’t mind laying here all day, other things pressed against their agenda. Kalib was very unwilling to move, but after he glanced at his forgotten broom, suddenly the urge to get up in the air was screaming at him. He glanced at her attire, most of his attention on the skirt, “You’re gunna fly around in that, are you?” he teased, chuckling softly. He would have to be careful not to weave underneath her. Sighing, Kalib loosened his grip around her and placed a firm hand on her back, ready to help push her up out of his lap. “Come on, up and at ‘em.” He grinned some, eyes dancing.

I love you was something that Mariella felt should only be used at certain moment and even then, if one was not going to fully mean it then it shouldn't be used. Mariella used it every night before she left him to go to sleep, just a sweet reminder of her adoration and to bid him farewell for the night. When she just felt her heart swell, she didn't refrain from using the words, they simply slipped past her lips because she felt that she'd have to say them or she'd explode. There was no reason to hide her love from him since he already knew how much she cared for him, how much she loved him. He showed that he too felt so much love for her, and at times Mariella couldn't help but feel that he might just love her a bit more than she did him. Not that she meant for her to fall short, he was just so passionate at times. When she was held in his arms, when he talked to her and spoke such sweet words, whenever he kissed her with such passion. He gave her gifts and held her and caressed her...Mariella couldn't help but she fell short of that, not always knowing what do to share those intense feelings that he showed so easily. She was getting closer though...Today she had made big strives towards what he seemed to do so easily.
Mariella had kept her mind from straying, still staying focused on Kalib as it seemed he was pulled into his own thoughts. Her small comment pulled him out though, a small smile coming onto her lips at his comment. Well wasn't he being cocky? Although she couldn't really feel a smidgen angry as his lips lightly touched her own in a gentle kiss, pressing back. 'I love you too' Mariella felt as if her heart may have stopped, a look of blissful shock coming to her face. This was the first time he'd ever said the statement to her bluntly, without being a part of something he said to her. A flush touched her cheeks and Mariella couldn't resist the urge, leaning forward and pressing her lips against Kalib's lovingly. It was a kiss of appreciation not only for finally saying it but also for loving her. She knew he loved her but....to hear it, made it feel so much more special.
'You’re gunna fly around in that, are you?' Mariella stuck her tongue out at Kalib, an immature move but he was teasing her not only on her attire but as well on broom riding. Or at least, that's how it had sounded to her. As much as she didn't want him to, even if he was teasing, Mariella felt Kalib loosen his grip on her before pushing her up. She stood a bit unsteadily, quickly covering the back of her skirt ot make sure she didn't expose her knickers. Taking a few steps forward before turning about to look at him, she smirked. "No", she answered, her voice matter-of-factly. "I'm going to fly around in this..." Grabbing the bottom of her turtleneck, Mariella began to pull it up, her abdomen beginning to show as she pulled it further and further up. Mariella couldn't help but smirk, it obviously hidden behind the cloth of the sweater, knowing what a tease this must be to Kalib. However, she must stop this before she exposed to much, not to mention she was beginning to get goosebumps. Reaching with her right hand, Mariella pulled down her crimson v-neck cut t-shirt. It conformed to her curves, showing off even more of her toned body to the boy. She wrapped the turtle neck about her waist, the longest part of it fashioned so it would cover her bottom. "You see?" She did a small spin for him before placing her hand light on her hip.

The way she reacted to those little words had been worth it, having kept them to himself for too long now. Every time they touched it never disappointed him by any means, if anything getting better and better, like her appraising kiss. Definitely worth the wait, the opportune moment. He didn’t really have a lot of time to dwell on it though, keeping her steady as she pulled herself up. Kalib wasn’t quite sure, but before she managed to tug her short skirt down low enough without pulling off he swore he caught sight of a flash of white. It was unmistakable against her toned skin, but he was polite about the matter and kept his gaze away, feeling he owed her that much. Although, after being nice about it he instantly regretted it when in return he was forced to sit through undeniable pain. “No,” she didn’t plan on flying around in her skirt? He felt he’d misunderstood something, “I’m going to fly around in this.” Kalib reached the steady conclusion that sometime women just weren’t fair.
He couldn’t help the way his eyes widened, watching her tug off her turtleneck. Kalib felt thoroughly dazed watching her, eyeing her greedily. Many times he had hugged her, kept her very close and very warm next to him, but the fact that for a fleeting moment he could have done that with such concealing clothing was screaming at him. He kept still though, eyes narrowing when she pulled the shirt underneath, a much lighter shirt, down around her middle and kept her recently exposed skin covered. He glared at her sweater as she wrapped it around herself, silently cursing it for having hidden he from him all day when that was what was waiting underneath. “That is completely unfair,” he pouted, sit sitting on the ground. “Why even bring that thing along when you had such a beautiful top hidden underneath? If it was warmth you were concerned with you should know by now I wouldn’t let you get cold.” He winked and got up briskly, locking his fingers together and stretching his arms over his head. Two can play your little game…
Kalib did have a perfectly good excuse, after all, it was warming up quickly now that the earlier cloud cover was vanishing from in front of the sun. He wasn’t so low that he didn’t play dirty every once in a while. In one, swift movement he pulled his shirt overtop of his head, though unlike Mariella had no hidden clothing, and crumpled his grey shirt into a ball, dropping it to their pile of accumulating objects. He kept his gaze carefully away from her to ensure whatever her reaction was wouldn’t make him begin to laugh and snagged his broom from the ground, catching it over his bare shoulder and finally turning about to face her. “You really plan on packing all this stuff up or are we just gunna leave it?” They weren’t that far from the pitch as it was; besides, it he caught wind of anyone trying to knick their stuff he could very well dive bomb them.
