Well, what do you know? Apparently, Regulus was thinking along the same lines as me wth the whole must-break-up-thing. Because he broke up with me. And, apparently, he had similar reasoning. Only, unlike me, he was extremely honest about it. He actually told me that he was in love with someone else. Which doesn't matter to me. Really. It doesn't. I'm not blind enough to believe that Regulus would have actually faithful to me. But having him actually saying it to my face? Ouch. There's a blow to the ego if there ever was one. But whatever. It doesn't really matter right now.

What does matter is that Sirius keeps his bloody mouth shut. Regulus seems to think there might be trouble with that. I wasn't worried - until now. I honestly don't want Sirius to accidentally tell someone about it - Rita has eyes and ears everywhere, and with this new accomplice of hers, Danni Valo, it's twice as bad. You never know what one might accidentally let slip, and then they might pick it up. Just as long as he isn't aware that Remus knows, too, then it'll be fine. He'll have no reason to talk to it about someone else, right? As long as he doesn't tell James himself. But he promised.

And that means something.

...Right? Right. Of course.

Ugh. I just want to survive this year with the rest of my reputation - and my memory - intact. Is that too much to ask for?

Back to Regulus...

I don't get why he doesn't want me. I mean, am I not good enough for anyone? Not James, and not even Regulus Black? Is there something wrong with me? Is this why I've been single for the better part of the seventeen years of my life? Their must be something seriously wrong with me, then, if Regulus can so easily find someone else to love. I'm not going to kid myself into thinking that Regulus and I would have something special, but still. I just don't get i-
