ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name:Mariella Alejandra Covas Age:17 Gender:Female Year:7 Celebrity:Rihanna
Canon or Original?Original
Facial Properties:The first thing one might notice about Mariella is her beautiful red-brown hair; long silken waves of hair that fall about her shoulders. The locks frame her heart shaped face, and covers her eyes slightly to give a sense of mysteriousness when she wants. The color of her hair contrasts her skin wonderfully, the caramel color of her skin a beautiful combination. Her eyes are an almond shape, an 'Egyptian' look coming to mind when one looked at them. A light chocolate brown in color, they can change depending upon her mood. When in a angrier mood, her eyes change to a dark brown and when in a happy, bouncy mood her eyes are an almost light hazel color. She has a small nose that seems to fit her petite-ness, her nose centered on her face. Mariella's lips are full on the bottom with it being just a tad slimmer on the top lip, an overall even cute look. Her soft lips are a color swimming right in the middle of red and pink, her pearly whites glowing against the color. Physique:Mariella is slightly short for her age, standing at 5'5, she is petite although lithe and surprisingly flexible. She has a slim form, toned from years of play and exercise with other kids approved by her parents not to mention dance. Her chest is good for her size, an even C cup, although not too big to where they are a great pain to the woman. There is a golden locket that rests between her breasts that she was given when she started Hogwarts, something she is almost never without. Her style is stylishly comfortable, somewhere between what feels good and what looks good as well. She feels that she would feel perfectly happy wearing things like jeans or skirts, sweaters or t-shirts. As long as everything flows and matches and doesn't give her a trampy look, she's perfectly fine with a lot of combinations in her wardrobe.
Personality:Mariella is a girl that 'flows' with charisma, something she finds coming to her in an almost natural way. She enjoys conversing with her peers and spending time with friends. In the presence of friends she can be rather random; her emotions ranging across the scale. She can be cruel and cold or rather flirtatious and hyper. It all depends on whom she is talking to and which kind of friends she is around at the time. A thing that is definitely expected of the girl though is to always have a good outer appearance because sloppiness is simply not acceptable. This could be the outcome of coming from a upper class family, but she thinks it has to do more with the fact that she is a normal teenage female.
Mariella is respectful to elders and tries her best to make sure she doesn't land on a teacher's bad side. She wants to keep a good image with a teacher so she can always get out of trouble when need be. That's where her natural sense of cunning comes into place; her mind being as nimble as her craft. She is a friend that if you betray her, you've lost any trust that you could've had and she is very careful when it comes to picking those she can trust. Although she will have many friend, there are very few she can trust. Her trust is something that is something that isn't too hard to earn, if you are deemed so in her mind. For others she needs evidence of why she should trust, something to support her reasoning for allowing herself to trust you.
Toward enemies or people she considers lower than herself, she often treats them worst than dirt, using words that are cruel and quite unnecessary. When she is angered or bothered, her words are sharp and are all about cutting whomever her target is down. She was raised in a way of which taught do not accept those that are not worth your time, more specifically mud bloods and muggle born. There are extremely small conditions in which she will accept or even like a mud blood or muggle born. She doesn't think of herself as discriminatory, it was simply a thought that had been planted in her head from birth.
When it comes to boys, specifically ones she feels some sort of attraction to, she is quite the character. She begins to use her mind more than anything, trying to figure out a way to crack him. Sometimes she successful, other times she not but she attempts it. She in most cases becomes quite flirtatious, hoping to lead them on without blatantly pointing out that she may like them. She was the second born, her older sister Edelmira being the eldest by five years. She had a home birth, the use of a traditional midwife, showing just one of the older view that her family had. From birth she was raised to take pride in who she is and to celebrate who she was everyday, not letting anyone put her down. When Mariella was a toddler, she attended what was thought a 'pre-school' for magical children. Her parents wanted her to get a head start, not to mention she was a bundle of energy so being around kids her age was the only healthy thing to do. Children were not taught magic at this place, but instead were instructed properly when they showed their natural young out lash of magical energy.
Mariella prospered in the school, although she did have a few 'problems' when she was there. She learned at a young age boys will be boys, although she being as stubborn as it was wasn't going to take their playful teasing games lying down. If they would push her, she would push back, if they were mean to her then she would be just as nasty back. Her parents found this to be more funny than concerning, however she was often scolded by her teachers. Mariella thought nothing of it, just coming to the conclusion in her mind that they were being a bully to her because she wasn't a doormat. When she grew older, her parents gave her a tutor, finding that to be a less hostile alternative to normal school. However, she still had her little play dates every weekend or so.
When she turned eight, her parents made a move from their beautiful home in Spain, to what Mariella considered an ugly townhouse in London. Mariella being so young at the time thought she had been put into a different world. She had to learn a different language, different customs, get used to leaving certain holidays behind and celebrating new ones. Her first year there she absolutely despised the area until she saw how much everyone else in her family was actually flourishing. Her sister had to transfer but she just fawned over her new school in her letters home, her parent's magical jewelry and charms sold magnificently in the city. She slowly began to realize that everything in this new place wasn't that bad and they did offer things that she didn't have in Spain. She slowly, but surely, began to like Britain and all it had to offer. She even managed to learn English, quickly absorbing it although speaking it with an accent.
When Mariella got her letter to Hogwarts, the whole family was overjoyed, Mariella especially. She could finally do all the magic her sister had told her about, all the magic that her parents did on a daily basis. It was almost overwhelming, this whole experience. She enjoyed the shopping for all the books and robes and most importantly, her wand. She had found her perfect wand on her fifth try, that coming out to be a ten inch mahogany with a Demiguise hair core. Ollivander said that it would be a wand that would perform Transfiguration beautifully. When she finally made to the school , her sister was almost her guide of sorts, the two helping one another but also having their own set of friends that they made and such. Mariella prospered in Hogwarts as the years went along, with the exception of Herbology and Potions. The two classes challenged her because many of the lessons required her to either cut or pick or mash 'things' that made her feel sick. Even with these challenges, she still felt wonderful about Hogwarts and all the friends and lessons she had there. ABOUT YOU Name:Kim Years of Experience:Around 4 Sample Post:
The fresh scent of crisp lake air played upon the senses, hypnotizing the mind and body into a sense of relaxation. Students in small groups of three and four were stretched across the lake's edge, enjoying the break in their busy class schedules. However there were those few that were on their own, enjoying this time to be on their own. A few Slytherins, Mariella included, could be grouped into those that are loners. She, however was only looking for a way to spend her two hours of free time.
Beneath the shade one of the tree's near the lake, Mariella lay there, allowing the rays of sunlight to warm her body. Her head lay upon her black messenger bag, hands resting upon her abdomen, her legs crossed politely. If it had not been for the rhythmic rising and falling of her chest, she might appear to actually be dead rather than feigning sleep. Sleep had evaded her, so she just lay there, staring boredly into the tree tops of the Forbidden Forest.
How could she be bored when there were so many things to do at the magical school? Not to mention the fact that she is apart of the Slytherin Quidditch team, and it could do her well to practice. However, what fun is it when there is no one else to help one practice. Flying was not something that troubled her much, although it did appear that she would need practice after such an extended break.
"Might as well---", Mariella murmured, her voice a soft accent of Spanish mixed with English. She was caught in mid-sentence as she heard the beginning sounds of a tussle.
Turning her head languidly she watched a group of Gryfinndor boys torment poor Severus yet again. He was always the target of Gyrfinndor's cruel pranks, and it was obvious that showed no sign of slowing anytime soon. At times, Mariella would defend the boy, casting a simple hex, too bad for him, Mariella was not in the helping mood at the moment. Sleep deprivation and dealing with the constant annoyance of shared House classes, she was put in somewhat of a bad mood.
She had yet to move from her spot as she watched them chase the boy into the forest, and continuing to watch as they ran out. However she did notice that Severus did not seem to crawl his way out like it seemed he always did. No matter how bad of a mood she had been placed in, she had to at least make sure that her was okay.
Slowly, she tore her eyes away from the area, pulling her body up slowly. Her boredom had made her movements slow, a yawn passing from her lips. How could she move so slow and be so cool when someone was in trouble? She found those that could not fend for themselves more bothersome rather than worrisome in her mind. However since it seemed like they had a little in common, she couldn't just abandon the boy. Dusting off her robes she picked up her messenger bag, placing it upon her shoulders lightly. However the weight of the books and supplies she carried did help to weigh her down slightly.
Mariella steps were slow and unrushed, a casual walk to match her apathy. As she reached the edge of the forest she peer in, eyes studying the surroundings meticulously. She couldn't hear any sound or evidence that there were any creatures roaming in the forest. The forest floor stayed as even as possible before giving way to a declining slope before it reached a steep hill. Shaking her head slowly she couldn't help but wonder why anyone would run into the forest without checking it out first.
Inch by inch she went deeper into the forest, leveling her self as she saw his nagled body no more than three yards away. Precariously she moved down to his body, actual concern rushing through her. Was he dead? No, she could see the slow rise and fall of his chest, although he did look like shit. She hissed a line a curses from under her breath, knowing that something had to be broken especially after such a fall, and his unconscious state wouldn't help her to know. She knelt beside him, casting Lumos to light the area.
Should she move him, seeing as anything could be broken and moving him could further injure him? Kneeling beside him and beginning to examine him, she could tell by the angle his wrist and the color that rested on the pale skin, that the limb was indeed broken. Hand moving into her robe, the words on Mariella's lips were barely audible. "Ferula", she murmured, two pieces of straight flat would resting before her. Placing the two pieces on his arm, she straightened the limb out slowly, ripping a long strip of his robe off. Gingerly she tied the wood around his wound, again unknowing of what else ailed him. Kneeling beside him, she gently placed her hand on his shoulder, lightly jostling him. "Severus", she hissed out. "Severus...wake up..." Other:blackboard
