ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name:Remus John Lupin “Moony” Age:17 Gender: Male Year: 7th Celebrity: Logan Marshall-Green (If I have too doesn't wanna) Adam Lazzara?
Canon or Original? Canon
Facial Properties:{1+ paragraphs}
Remus Lupin has mysterious deep blue eyes, eyes that seem to have a sort of haunted quality about them. As if they have seen things in their life time, that no one should ever have to witness. There is also a intelligent brilliants as well. As if he knows things, that he shouldn’t. Mischief and kindness lurk within their sapphire like depths, making for a young man who has a look of intense complexity about him. His eyes also miss very little, even when it seems that he is not paying attention. His glimpses can be so quick that if you were to blink you would miss it.
Remus’s light brown hair is of medium length and scruffy at times. Showing even in these younger years of his life a strange graying quality, that seems out of place on his young handsome face. Other then this, Lupin’s rather angular face is really unremarkable, he can easily blend into the background and be forgotten, in the rush of things. There are a few scars upon his face, but they are thin and faded, hardly noticeable, though there are some on the rest of his body there are more plain and obvious.
Lupin’s face usually looks worn and exhausted.
Physique:{1+ paragraphs} Remus “Moony” Lupin is a rather tall young man, standing at 6’ and rather lean in his physique with many angular features. In many ways he looks fairly scrawny under his Gryffindor wizarding robes. With much more muscle on his frame then one would expect him to have, just by looking at him. He has multiple scars across his lean body, most of which are hidden under his robes. His fingers are long, dexterous and flexible. Perfect for accomplishing exceedingly complicated wand movements, and writing in a crisp and exceedingly neat and tidy handwriting. He can be as gentle or as rough as need be with his hands. Though, his personality would of course dictate that he is gentle in nature, and show that it would take a lot, to bring out any sort of aggression from him.
Personality:{4+ paragraphs} Remus Lupin is a quiet, calm, reserved soul, who cherishes his friendships with his friends Sirius Black (Padfoot), James Potter (Prongs), and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) more then anything else in the world. Upon first meeting him, you may over look his presents, or think that he is nothing really that special, because that is what first impressions are like when involving Remus. And frankly Remus Lupin prefers it this way. With the exception of his friends Remus is a loner. Feeling that he is a danger to other‘s, and has a great fear of causing other‘s real bodily harm, and rightfully so.
Shying away from making friends, especially girlfriends, much to Sirius’s and James’s constant and considerable agonizing. He isn’t readily seen socializing with many other people. Except Lily Evan’s the other Gryffindor Prefect, though even then he tends to keep much of himself to himself, for fear of letting something slip. It’s not that he doesn’t ever speak, nor is he really shy par say, but he is extremely careful about getting closer to people then absolutely necessary. His words are sometimes few and far between. Though he will readily answer any question put forth to him by another, and he is ever so polite in his answers.
Remus Lupin is a also good-natured, caring, intelligent, and forgiving, person who has a hard time exerting his authority over others, because of his need to be liked, by others. He hasn’t had a lot of chances in his life to be liked by others and to have friends, but it is something that once given is virtually unbreakable and it causes him to let people, especially James and Sirius, to get away with things that he knows, full well that he should put a stop to. Their treatment of one Severus Snape a Slytherin student in the same year as the Marauders is a perfect example of this on going problem of his.
Moony, as his friends like to call him, can be found in either the library, in the Gryffindor common rooms or under the old Beech Tree near the lake, reading a book, or studying when not with the other Marauder’s. He is exceptionally intelligent and excels in almost all of the school curriculum that he subjects himself to. With the exception of Potions, which he seems to just not have a knack for. Though wandless magic seems to be one of his strong points.
On the brighter side of Remus’s personality he has a subtle sense of humor, (That can be on the strange, dark and sarcastic side at times.), quick whit, and a mischievous streak that is only fueled by the other Marauder’s. Though not as active in their mischief making, Remus Lupin can hold his own. (Though he seems to be better at not getting caught!) He is always trying to bale the other’s out of trouble, or helping them to avoid getting into it, in the first place. He is not quick to trust, it is something that must be earned and is not given readily, and he is fiercely loyal to those few that manage to gain that trust. But on the whole Remus is "the good boy” as Sirius has been known to say. And more mature then the other’s.

History:{4+ paragraphs} Born March 10, 1960 Lupin was bitten by the vicious werewolf Fenrir Greyback at the age of 6, thus becoming a werewolf himself. His parents tried everything but there was no cure. He and his parents were justifiably afraid he would not be able to attend school, but headmaster Albus Dumbledore allowed him to enroll at Hogwarts - as long as certain measures were taken. A house was built in Hogsmeade with a secret passage leading to it from under the Whomping Willow. Lupin was smuggled into this house for his monthly transformations to ensure his safety and the safety of others. The transformation from human to werewolf is difficult and painful, and when isolated from humans or the company of other animals, a werewolf will harm itself with its own teeth and claws out of frustration from not being able to attack.
The villagers mistook Lupin's screaming as that of extremely violent ghosts. The house was dubbed "the Shrieking Shack" and became known as the most haunted building in Britain. Although the house was not really haunted at all, Dumbledore promoted this rumor to discourage curious villagers from exploring. Remus kept his transformations a secret, but his friends James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew deduced the truth. By their fifth year they had learnt how to become Animagi themselves to keep him company during his transformations.
He was given the nickname "Moony" by his friends because of his condition. In their sixth year, Sirius Black played a prank on Severus Snape . He told Snape where Remus went every month, knowing full well that Snape could be killed if he approached Lupin in his werewolf state. Snape, being determined to get them in trouble followed Sirius' directions. James stopped Snape part way down the tunnel, saving his life, but Snape saw Remus in werewolf form and was sworn to secrecy by Dumbledore. Snape was never able to forgive Sirius (also James and Remus) for their prank and believed that James' motive in foiling the plan was nothing more than self-interest, to avoid expulsion from Hogwarts. Even though Remus did not know anything of Sirius' prank, Snape loathed and blamed him as well.
Remus was made a prefect in his 5th year, though he had trouble exercising discipline over his friends. "because he's been disliked so often." Remus' main fault is that "he's always so pleased to have friends, so he cuts them an awful lot of slack." Lupin did not participate in his and James' bullying (of Snape, in particular), but Lupin regrets never having told them to stop. He is also noted for being one of the creators of the Marauder's Map, which later fell into the ownership of Harry Potter. He was in the original Order of the Phoenix.
ABOUT YOU Name: Moony Years of Experience: 2years + Sample Post: {4+ paragraphs} The wind blew a fragrant smell, that caressed his face and brought a small content sigh. ‘If only he could stay here, in this moment,’ He thought. Looking up through the leaves of the old Beech tree, that swayed in the breeze that caressed their red and golden leaves. Remus Lupin watched as the sky slowly started to darken. Sorrowfully he glanced in the direction he would soon have to travel. ‘The Whomping Willow,’ He mused with a visible shudder. With great reluctance he brushed his premature grey hair out of his vivid blue eyes, and looked at the clouds gathering in the distance. In a audible whisper he said in a hoarse voice, and with a obvious look of distaste upon his features, “I hope it doesn‘t rain, I don‘t want to wake up to the smell of wet fur... Again.”
Slowly he turned his attention towards a book that he had laid unceremoniously onto the ground and picked it up. Stowing his Defense Against The Dark Arts Book ‘A Practical Guide To Defense In The Real World, By: Ravina Darkinbane’ into his bag. Remus stood and regretted the fact that James was still in the Hospital Ward, after taking a bludger to the head, earlier that same day. He was pleased however that they had won the match against Slytherin. But in true Slytherin retribution, the Slytherin beater, Marius DeCursinburg had sent a bludger after James, right as he had caught the golden snitch. They had won alright, but James had not yet regained consciousness, and he had insisted that Sirius and Peter stay with him until he did.
With reluctance he started to walk, the school grounds steadily growing even darker. No one would notice him missing, they would assume his was with Sirius and Peter, watching over James. But still, cautiously he made sure no one was watching, as he made his way to the tree that hide the entrance to The Shrieking Shack. With a flick of his wand, he used a basic pressure spell to hit the knot that would stop the Whomping Willow’s insane attempts to throttle him. Watching the tree settle, he walked forward and climbed down into a small hole within it’s large concealing roots.
“Lumos!” He incanted, as he continued his journey into the dark, eerily silent passage way that lay beyond. He continued walking, starting to feel as if the walls were caving in on him. He knew the shape he would be in, in the morning without his friends to occupy and distract the beast that lay within his being. He would be broken and beaten looking, after clawing at his own flesh, for lack of prey. Yet still he walked forward and didn’t stop until he had come upon the rickety old door that signaled the entrance to the old shack that would keep him confined and everyone else… safe.
He could feel a tension that slowly grew in his body. Quickly he went through the door and magically sealed it. Looking for a small and non-obvious space under one of the steps, he stripped and place his clothing, bag and wand, within it’s dark innards. As he lay down his wand he became entombed in almost complete darkness. It was a blessed darkness that he welcomed, a darkness that he wished he could stay in forever. But he knew that it was but a fanciful and stupid wish. After securing the compartment, he started up the dark stairs, seeing a dim light the glowed from somewhere up above him. Steadily he walked, knowing that he could travel the whole way in complete darkness if he had to. Thinking about the few times that he had, managed that feat. ‘Almost didn’t make it here in time,’ he thought. As he relived the memory of that night in his mind.
Finally he reached the top of the stairs and walked into a large room, that held a ratty old bed and much rubble, from broken pieces of furniture. Looking towards the boarded up window he saw the stray bits of light vanish. Locking the door to the room he sat on the bed and waited. Waited for the inevitable. Waited for the horror, pain and screams that would soon penetrate the room.
He felt it, a slow vibrating pain that suddenly seared through his flesh. A scream suddenly burst forth from his lips, as he shook with tremendous force. Unbearable pain came, with no signs of stopping as cracking noises issued throughout the shack. The sounds of bones changing, growing, reforming grew, as did the screams that issued from Lupin’s now Malformed mouth. His face changing into something canine as the rest of his body contorted, and started to sprout fur.
As quickly as it had begun, the room suddenly became lost in a unnatural silence. A creaking sound could be heard as something monstrous lifted itself from the bed. Panting and shaking himself, Lupin stood, lifted his head and with a ear shattering noise, pierced the darkness with a penetrating howl. Other: [Removed by Staff]
