ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name:Scott Marquis Age:13 Gender:Male Year:Third Year Celebrity:Lucas Grabeel
Canon or Original?Original
Facial Properties:His green eyes are like misty emeralds in a peachy mass of skin. His lips are mostly curled into a smile and once open, his mouth displays shining white teeth. His "Perfect" teeth are whitened regularly using magic and his blonde hair is straightened using magic also. A natural curl is apparent in his fringe however he bans this from his image. His nose is not too large but bigger than he would find preferable. His pearly cheeks are regularly red in embarrassment from when he makes a fool of himself. His eyebrows look shaped however they are natural unlike most of his other facial aspects. He has no piercings and feels like there is no point in damaging your natural body. His ears are hidden and small but they are often called “out of proportion” by his Muggle school-mates.
His head sits evenly on his tall neck. A small lump has started to emerge from his neck, a sign of growing up. He likes to look young and is young. He doesn’t want to start growing whiskers or facial hair as it shows age in his opinion. He has no side-burns yet and he would prefer it to stay that way. Physique: He has a slim body it isn’t sporty. He is basically average and is of average height. He is around 5 foot four and taller than most of the children on his street. He has a skinny neck and arms but his legs are quite stocky and muscular. His size seven feet keep him stood upright but the almost permanent slumped back makes him nearly fall. He is neat and tidy with his clothing and attitude however his posture is quite bad. He often has bad back pain but can never stand straight for too long. When he goes to watch Quidditch matches he is bought a special seated ticket as he would never see the match otherwise.
He also says the posture is due to many hours sat hovering on his broom in his room. He couldn’t fly outside on a Muggle street. His parents say it is due to endless hours on his Muggle computer game. He isn’t very flexible but can touch his toes, big achievement no?
Personality: He smiles permanently and is hardly ever down. He has been known to cry and hates the stereotypical "boys don’t cry" thing. He feels everyone has to cry, crying shows braveness. He thinks that if a boy cries it shows courage as he knows someone will laugh at him. He likes to joke on with friends and is very friendly. He has many friends but has never had a real girlfriend. He tries very hard with girls but never seems to succeed. In his years at Hogwarts he has had quite a few flings but never something he really felt for. He wants this to change. He wont stop trying to get a girl if he likes her unless she is taken or not of the same orientation.
He is pretty smart and this shows in his grades. If there is a subject he is unsure on he will ask for help. He isn’t afraid of failure however hates rejection. His biggest ambition in life is to open a theatre and star in the productions there. He has a helpful side to him and is also not afraid to show a "teacher's pet" side. He is very loving and if you are kind and relaxed with him he will be exactly the same back.
He is good in classes and usually tries his hardest unless in a subject he finds boring like History of Magic. He gets good grades and can usually learn new spells fairly quickly. His memory is pretty good, not as good as he would like it to be but he still uses a rememberall given to him by his mother. He is strong willed like his father and doesn’t like failure. If he knows he is right and someone says he is wrong, then he will argue his side. This has delivered him to detention a few times from abusive language he has used in the past.
He nearly always goes home fore Christmas but sometimes prefers to stay at school. He was very happy when he received his letter three years ago. His parents knew it would come though. As soon as it came he read books although they were too advanced for him. His attitude towards Hogwarts is immense. He doesn’t receive many house points but one day hopes to achieve so many in one go that his house wins hands down. His homework is always in on time but his efforts are rarely rewarded, this causes him to stroll off track in some lessons.
Likes: Frogs, cats, owls, snails, bugs, basically most animals, charms class, transfiguration, Chudley Cannons, floo powder, Port keys, parcels from home, brooms, Dislikes: Snobs, Over patriotic people, over proud people, spiders, snakes, fire, falling, storms, disease, blindness, fears, getting told off, getting punished!
History: Since Scott receives his letter he has been proud of his heritage. Both of his parents are magical but neither are from magical backgrounds, because of that fact he has great respect for Muggles. Since his parents received their letters, their parents (Scott’s Grandparents) have tried to tell all their Muggle friends. The Ministry of Magic have had to be called to Scott’s Nana’s house a couple of times to erase the memory of the neighbours after being told about Hogwarts and brooms and spells and magic and the list goes on. The family are poor however their balance in Gringotts slowly rises as they don’t spend much, but earn a fair amount.
Both of Scott’s parents are Magical Creature experts and work with them, sometimes in foreign countries. When this happens they send him presents from his travels which he thoroughly enjoys opening and showing off. His latest present was a Puffskein which he keeps at his home in his bedroom. It eats the crumbs and spiders and keeps his room fresh. He hates spiders so this is his ideal choice as a pet. The only annoying thing is it keeps him awake when he is at home from its constant purring.
His parents had heard about the chamber of secrets when they were at school however no one had found it. Many “Chamber of Secrets” clubs were secretly formed by excitable and adventurous students trying to find and open the deadly place. Of course, no one managed to find or open it. Scott inherits his father’s favourite subjects-Charms and Transfiguration but his mother’s favourite transport method-Floo Powder. He loves to spend countless hours just strolling down the cobbled street of Diagon Alley or drinking soft drinks in the Leaky Cauldron. His least favourite shop is Ollivander’s as he only needs to go there once. That is unless his wands breaks or is stolen. Luckily, this has never happened to him before.
He received his wand as a “coming of age” present from his father who, as they entered the shop, was exclaiming to the street outside about his son’s acceptance into Hogwarts. He must have repeated this hundreds of times and no one ever seemed to take much notice. This annoyed Dave (Scott’s father) but still he continued all the way to the Quidditch shop where as a present from his mother, Scott received the Chudley Cannons Quidditch strip. The bright orange robes were his favourite clothes and he wore them frequently until they started a losing streak. The streak has started in 1972 but he still hoped they would conquer all.
ABOUT YOU Name: Jack (Wetherill) Years of Experience: Not many but I have owned quite a few and have modded on quite a few successful ones. Sample Post: He chuckled slightly. Olivia must be a superstar he smiled. He thought of her that way. His hands grasped his knees and he coughed. His eyes were diverted to the large grandfather clock and the time showed quite late. He raised his eyebrows and rose from his chair. He didn't want to seem rude but it had become the time where he must leave. His embroidered cuffs said "JF" in fancy, swirly letters and he held out his hand for Jamie to shake. The cotton on his cuffs was a soft purple that went well with his shirt and jacket. He liked to look smart, felt it was a duty.
He smiled showing his pearly teeth and yawned slightly. It wasn't even that late, he was tired though. He tapped his foot waiting for an acknowledgment from the girl and swayed from one foot to another. His blonde hair was messy at this point and in need of a wash. Jefree couldn't understand how he had let it get this bad. To any normal person it wasn't bad but he was a perfectionist and had to look "perfect". He didn't wait for a shake of her hand now.
He bent down to secure his black shoelaces and wiped a speck of dirt from his shining shoes. The leather still smelt fresh and new. Well, it was new! He bought a new pair often to keep this smell. He loved the smell of fresh leather and with a bank account like his parents he didn’t really need to worry! He didn’t like to spend his parents’ money but they had it and wanted him to use it so what the hey! He stood back up quickly and because of this felt slightly dizzy for a few seconds. He shook his head making his hair messier and started to move towards the door.
"Bye!" he called as he walked through the door, jogging slightly, "Nice meeting you." He hoped she had heard him, he hated to seem rude. He wondered how Olivia and Vera were and missed them dearly. He left the building and patrolled down the streets to his apartment a few blocks away. Other: Mimbulus Mimbletonia, classically (I just copied the words I found to do with the other section)

Nice app, good lengths and it's lovely to see you opting for a third year - it's much appreciated.
However, your character seems a little too perfect. Make sure you don't run into the gary-sue trap, your character seems to have a perfect appearance, be very clever and be extremely friendly and open. Even the best of us have faults, Scott just won't come to life if he lacks them.
I'm going to accept you now, but I'm going to be keeping a close eye on how your character develops. Over-happy and perfect characters are very much against the rules - so please try not to break them.
Scott has been sorted into Ravenclaw.
