Um, hello everyone! I tried applying on the boards of old before (I'm sure Jen remembers me--I was the one who kept having problems reading the rules...^^; ) and now, after finding the new Maurauders-era community, reading the rules and filling out the character app., am finally applying! Hooray! ^_^
Please tell me if there's anything I need to fix, and I'll be happy to do so!

---------- ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Cambri Evanna Hull Age: 14 Gender: Female Year: 4 Celebrity: Kirsten Dunst
Canon or Original? Canon
Facial Properties: Cambri Hull has long blonde hair that goes past her shoulders and constantly gets into her eyes. Although she normally wears her hair down, she sometimes wears it in a braid or a loose ponytail when she’s studying or trying to spellweave. She has wide, pale blue eyes that are framed by dark, long eyelashes. She has a narrow oval-shaped face and a fair complexion, save for a few freckles scattered across her cheeks and nose. Physique: Cambri is rather tall for her age, standing in at 5’7”, and weighs around 130 lbs. She has a slim frame and long, slender legs that are a little freckled. With her many athletic interests, she has noticeable, but not unseemly, muscle definition in her arms and legs. Like most girls who are tall and skinny, Cambri is “depressingly flat-chested,” as she puts it. Not like she really cares about that bit, but honestly, she’d thought that there’d be a bit more in area once she turned fourteen.
Personality: “One wave short of a shipwreck“, “a bean short of a coffee blend“, “stark raving mad“--these are the phrases that are used when describing Miss Cambri Hull. While in most cases, these statements would be passed off as exaggerations, they are in fact true. Cambri Hull is an unusual young witch; she has serious discussions with her pet cat Melpomene, frequently quotes from Muggle plays and films, and also seems to find even the most dull of moments terribly amusing. Some tease her, some worry about her, and others just wonder why she hasn’t been locked up in St. Mungo’s yet.
Despite her batty behavior, Cambri is highly intelligent, and does well in her classes. Almost since she started school, Cambri has been passionate about spell weaving, and, although she hasn’t been successful with one of her spells just yet, is determined to achieve her goal, even if it kills her.
Cambri is a very passionate young woman, and has a tendency to not “look, then leap”, as the saying goes. She’s incredibly romantic, and tends to fantasize about having adventures like the ones her parents go on (see “History”). Cambri is terribly adventurous, and is not afraid to try new things. Cambri is open-minded about most topics, and finds the whole “pureblood” issue to be rather silly. She’s friendly and very warm to almost everyone she meets, and is a good listener.
A major flaw of Cambri’s is her recklessness. She ignores any danger or risks that occur in her spell weaving projects and in her life in general. While her adventuresome nature wouldn’t be complete without this recklessness, Cambri still needs to learn that there are some things that you shouldn’t put at risk for the sake of adventure and discovery (like your life, for example). Cambri can also act a bit childish and immature at times.
Likes: --Magical creatures (with the exception of crups) --Cinema --Traveling --Spellweaving --Charms class --Quidditch --Swimming --Field archery --Books --DADA Dislikes: --History of Magic --Smokers --Cockroach Clusters --People obsessed with blood purity --The gargoyles that guard the teacher’s lounge --Fanged Frisbees --Onions --Peeves the poltergeist --Crups --Bullies
History:Cambri Hull was born on December 11th, 1956 to parents Antigone and Mercutio Hull, writers who wrote numerous articles on magical locations throughout the world and traveled ceaselessly. They would have taken Cambri with them on their journeys, but due to the great perils of the exotic locations they went to, had to leave her behind. Cambri’s parents visited as frequently when they could, however, and often sent her gifts from wherever they traveled to.
While such affections are all well and good, Cambri still had to be brought up by somebody. Which is why she was placed into the care of her very eccentric godmother, Thalia Duffy, a resident of London. Thalia believed that in order to get by in the world, one had to know at least a smidgen about Muggles. Which led her to take Cambri Hull to the cinema on a frequent basis, and teach Cambri how to use the tube.
Despite the frequent absence of her parents from most of her childhood, they had a very strong influence on her life. Through their letters, they encouraged Cambri to learn as much as possible, and made sure she had a good education before she was sent to Hogwarts. When they returned from their travels, they would tell her about the various different people and places they had visited while away. With these stories, and Thalia's movies, Cambri daydreamed about having an exciting adventure of her own someday.
At age 11, Cambri was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Cambri was terribly excited at the prospect of going away to school, believing that this would be her chance at having a real adventure. Unfortunately for her, while she has learned a great deal and made plenty of friends, she has yet to have a real adventure. But she's not going to give up just yet!
ABOUT YOU Name: Cat Years of Experience: 3 Sample Post: It was July 31st, 1969, one of the most sweltering days of the summer, so far, a fact that was further increased by the cramped surroundings of Diagon Alley. One young blonde witch at the Leaky Cauldron, however, paid little notice to this.
"So, Mum," Cambri asked excitedly, "How was Transylvania? Did you find Tepes tomb, or was it just a sham like the map to Atlantis? Is the Countess Bathory still alive?"
The tall blonde woman who bore a striking resemblance to Cambri, Mrs. Antigone Hull, laughed warmly at her daughter's excitement. "We found the tomb, but no Tepes, and we have several confirmed sources that say that Bathory was finally destroyed during the 1920s. Don't call the Atlantis map a sham, though, your father still thinks there's a possibility it's located in Iceland as a part of a much larger document."
Cambri looked around curiously. "Say, where is Dad? I thought you said you were both coming."
"Don't worry, he'll be here shortly. He's probably talking some more about our new book with the editors again." Mrs. Hull reached over for Cambri's hand. "But what about you, luvvy? How's school? Are your teachers all right? Any potential lovers I should know about?" She grinned impishly.
Cambri blushed. "Mum! No, there's nothing like that! Everything's okay. History of Magic's boring as ever, though." A slight change in mood came over her, only noticeable to her mother.
"Camby, what is it? What's going on?" her mother asked concernedly.
"Nothing, nothing's wrong. It's just that..." Cambri trailed off and sighed. "It's just that, when I first went to Hogwarts, I though it would be this great big adventure, where a ton of amazing things would happen to me. I'm not saying that I don't like Hogwarts, I love it, it's just...it's my fourth year, and nothing's happened. No boyfriend, no excitement, nothing! Zip! Zilch! Nothing's changed for me, not one bit."
Antigone Hull smiled. "Sweetie, I know just how you feel; I was exactly the same at your age. But adventures are sudden, they happen when you least expect them. So don't worry, you will have an adventure, I promise."
Cambri looked up at her mother and smiled back. "Alright, I'll take your word for it." After a moment's pause, she spoke up again.
"Now, tell me about Tepes tomb again. Where was it? In your last letter, you told me it was located underneath the remains of St. Artemis' Cathedral..."

Cambri! Of course I remember you - welcome back.
Thankyou for taking the time to make a younger student, this is a good app.
However, you seem to have the old password in the 'Other' section. Just read through the rules again and ignore what it says in any older applications.
