ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Amos Daniel Diggory [hehee. a.d.d] Age: seventeen Gender: male Year: seventh Celebrity: Jesse Spencer
Canon or Original? canon
Facial Properties: “Honestly, you’d like me to describe my face? Bloody hell, can’t you see? Well, I suppose I should be rather nice and just tell you what I look like. We can start at the top of my head, where I have a golden brown mop of hair. It’s beautiful hair, really, and I can tell that you’re jealous of it! I can see it in those beady little eyes of yours. Anyways, my hair isn’t naturally as soft as it looks. I have to wash it constantly, because it can get greasy and disgusting to the touch. I use these muggle shampoo’s, they work quite well actually. And sometimes, the occasional charm to make it a little nicer to the touch. My hair is quite thick if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, sometimes I feel like it’s all falling out of my head. I forget who told me, that we lose eighty hairs a day. Ever since, I’ve been panicking that one day I’ll wake up bald. But enough about that. Let’s move down onto the forehead. My forehead isn’t usually visible. It’s mostly obscured by my hair, which falls across it. But it’s a bit freckly, which is such a turnoff. Good thing my hair cover’s it right? Down down dooownn…onto my eyebrows. I was blessed with unbushy eyebrows. Whew, because I wouldn’t want an eyebrow. Not one, I like having two. They’re rather thin though, which sort of sucks. But not really, since I don’t want a furry caterpillar above my eyes.
Speaking of eyes, I have rather strange eyes. My eye’s are dark brown. Normal you may say. But they are very different. They are rimmed in gray. That’s the very strange part, since I’m almost absolutely sure that nobody in my family has gray eyes. Besides my eyes, that’s about the only thing of my appearance that is completely different. Something unique you may say. My eyes are the most expressive part of my body, and even if my face is deadpan, my eyes? Nope. They are never deadpan. They are always jumping and making me look like a complete idiot. I can’t tame them. It’s so bloody hard, and when I do try and tame them, I get this constipated look on my face. Hmm. What a lovely choice, don’t you think? Next on my body would be my nose. Well, I got the Diggory nose. It’s not strange, it’s just…the Diggory nose. That’s all you can really say about it. There’s nothing distinguishing about it. The only way it’s special is that it’s the Diggory nose. So we’re going to move down to my lips. Full, thank you, but sort of pale. They match my skin tone a bit too much. They blend. And no, I do not use lipstick. Bloody hell, you’d think those Slytherin’s would find something else to talk about. Wait! We’ll move up a teensy bit more to my ears. ELFIN EARS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE. I have elfin ears. They are pointy at the top. I swear, my mother must’ve had some elf in her family.”
Physique: “I’ve got a pretty good physique, if I do say so myself. I’m not all muscle, far from, if you poke me in the side, your finger might drown in the flab. Ugh. What a disgusting picture. I’m sorry for that folks. It’s just a bit…baby fat. Yes. That’s better than flab. I’ve got a tad bit of baby fat on my side. Other than that, I have a pretty good physique. My arms and leg’s are both muscled, thanks to Quidditch. Thank you Quidditch! And thanks to that too, I have a four pack. YES. No, I don’t want a six pack, I’m perfectly fine with my four pack. Oh gosh, you can’t even get drunk off a four pack of butterbeer. How depressing. Anyways, that was slightly off topic. I’ve got abs. Yes. Abs. Are you jealous of them? I hope so, I’ve been working on them for quite a while. But anyways, my leg’s are muscled because of Quidditch and this muggle sport. It’s called football. I watched it; I must confess, I thought it was a pansy sport at first. That was until some muggle kid kicked me with those shoes with the pointy spikes at the bottom. Those hurt like a bloody – wait. Family friendly. They hurt like being stung by about three million bee’s in one spot. That seems roughly accurate.
I was blessed with the good metabolism that runs in my mother’s genes. She’s a bit scrawny, but I got her metabolism. Now I can eat as much as I want and I only pack on half a pound or so. I feel so much better. It’s nice to know that I can eat whatever I want whenever I want, you know the feeling? But yes, I feel so good.
I stand at a height of five feet and eleven inches. Eleven inches. Bloody hell, couldn’t I have grown an inch more? No. Half an inch. I’m five feet, eleven inches and a half. HALF. My body couldn’t find inspiration enough to grow half an inch so I could lie to my friends about my height? Nope, apparently not. Thank you body. Really.”
Personality: Amos has a kind of split personality. But it is not a disorder; rather his personality relies on his mood.
On the good side, a side which is displayed the most, except perhaps to his enemies, he is a fun loving guy, preferring parties to work. Preferring to have fun to actual labor. He can be really fun in this mood, and he enjoys to just hang out with his friends. He doesn’t let people in very easily, preferring to have a few close friends rather than a school of friends. He makes more loves and enemies than friends. His friends combined could possibly equal five or six. In this mood, he is very approachable and easy to talk to. In this mood, you’ll feel at ease with him, as if you can be yourself with him. He hates people who try and deceive others, he hates pretenders. He likes you to just chill, and he doesn’t really like to talk about serious subjects; preferring to just chill. While in this mood he could be a member of any house. He plays Quidditch, and milks all the attention. He over exaggerates everything, just to make himself seem like the grand hero. But he doesn't seek attention. He likes to stay away from the limelight, preferring to stick to the shadows. He’s doesn’t like people who have not earned attention; usually is aggressive towards these people.
On the flip side, he becomes moody, competitive and angry. This is usually right before a game or when he's annoyed or angry with someone. While in this mood, his wrath is often very dangerous to behold. He's not self destructive but he can be destructive to other people if you ever make the mistake of getting in his way when he’s in one of these temperamental moods. When he’s in this mood, crossing him could be the last move you ever make, as sometimes he forgets what he’s doing or what he’s trying to do. He gets competitive when somebody moves into something that he feels he has claimed for himself. This mostly has to do with girls. He doesn’t really like when a girl he has went out will moves on. He likes to think of himself as a heartbreaker, which in truth he is. He’s never held a relationship for longer than 2 weeks.
Quidditch is his passion, and he lives for it. He loves it like its his own child and he’ll get quite annoyed if you have no idea what he’s talking about. He plays aggressively, and is one of those keepers that can keep his temper in check, but you can tell he’s angry. He’s not good keeping his anger in. He tends to lash out when he’s angry and is able to hold grudges for a long time. He’s never the one who would apologise. He would leave the apologizing straight for you, because he’s like that.
Amos is one of the most confident people you will probably ever meet. He knows what he’s doing and how he wants it to be done. He knows that he can do it and has really never doubted his abilities. Whether his abilities be with the ladies or in a classroom teaching, he can almost seamlessly move from topic to topic. He is very determined. He knows what he wants and when he wants it. If he wantes something, you can almost be sure that he will stop at no lengths to get it before someone else does. He’s a bit jealous. When somebody ever betters him, he’s far from a good loser, he’s downright sour and can get angry. Jealousy usually is provoked when somebody snatches something out from underneath him. He doesn’t want to be forgettable. He wants people to remember him. The jealousy can be provoked when a girl he once dated has moved on. Call him strange, call him weird, but when he’s left in the dust, he hates it. He hates being left there alone and being the last one standing. Despite his temperament he can be patient. Patience usually comes seamlessly from him, as he needs to be patient in his job, being a teacher and all. But sometimes frustration gets the best of him. He’s a generally caring guy who gets along with everyone

History: Amelia Moretti was a young witch at Hogwarts when she met Jean Diggory. He was three year’s her senior, but despite that, the attraction between the two was undeniable. Jean left the school in his seventh year, graduating with honors. Amelia followed, becoming Head Girl in the midst. Despite the attraction between the two, they never met each other again. At least, not immediately after they both were out of Hogwarts. It was five year’s later when Amelia was twenty two and Jean was twenty five. They met purely by chance, when Amelia was downing her sorrows in a glass of firewhisky and Jean was the man serving her for the time being. Jean was between jobs, still training to work in the Ministry. The job paid well; now he had more inspiration. The girl he had felt such an attraction to was coming to his bar day after day! Eventually they spoke and the attraction was back. In a night of drunken debauchery, the unthinkable happened. Amelia was pregnant, and the father was Jean.
Almost immediately, as a man must do, Jean married Amelia. The attraction was there, so what was wrong with the hasty marriage without either family there? Seven and a half months later, a little boy was born and named Amos. Amos Daniel Diggory. The small family rejoiced and their relatives with them. The young baby had been born a month premature; that was dangerous. The healers required both mother and child to stay in St Mungo’s for a week longer, so that they could make sure both were safe. Eventually, Amelia and Amos were released back into the wizarding world. Jean was overjoyed with this tiny bundle of joy. He doted on him. As time passed though, Amos was never granted a sibling.
Amos was always an adventurous young baby, always somewhere, just about to fall. But he was a clever baby and he did it for the cooing attention that his mother bestowed upon him every time he got hurt. Even as a baby, he loved attention and he still does to this day. One day, he had been running around in the park when he wandered onto a football game. One of the boys, in a fit of fury – as the other team had scored – aimed a vicious kick at the ground. He misjudged, and little Amos got in the way out of curiosity. The curiosity overtook him and eventually, he learned the game was called football and was played internationally! Just like Quidditch. Six year old Amos took an immediate liking to the game and that was when his first sign of magic happened. He had been trying to kick the ball, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration, when it sailed into the net, without him even kicking it! Kid’s ran away in awe, but a few remained, and for the rest of the time, Amos was treated with adoration from his muggle peers. But he knew that he was different, and both parent’s were overjoyed that he was going to go to Hogwarts, the school they had went to and found each other at.
And that brings mister Amos Daniel Diggory to present day.
