ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Salene Emilia Ewart Age: 16 Gender: Female Year: 6 Celebrity: Kaley Cuoco
Canon or Original? Canon
Facial Properties: Long, straight, golden blond hair frames Sally's face and is cut shorter in the front. Of, the amount of times she's been complimented on her hair- too many to count. Of course, Sally would only be angry if she didn't receive any, what with the attention and time she spends on herself. Her roots and eyebrows are darker than her hair color, bringing another dimension to her face and one that off sets the blond coloring rather nicely.
Her eyes are blue and clear and often sparkling with some inner joke she would never deem share-worthy. However they change become a cold blue/gray in a instant, matching her temper, and then you'd better stay clear. Her nose is straight and average size, though usually turned upward in clear disdain. Her mouth shaped well, with full, cherry colored lips often parted in a smile that reveals the two rows of straight, white teeth.
Physique: From the age of five, Sally has been an avid dancer (though once she started at Hogwarts she could only take classes and participate during the summer) and has developed perfect posture and grace. She stands up straight to her just-taller-than-average-height and can walk in heels without the slightest qualm. After dancing in them, walking is no problem. Sally has long, fit-looking legs and skin that tans well without much help.
The fact that Sally spends her day standing tall with straight posture doesn't mean she doesn't slouch, though. Many a night will find her crumpled back in an armchair in the common, curled up and warm. Though at least she's never fallen asleep there, like some of her friends.
A small tattoo of a star is visible on her lower back. She got it done at the age of fourteen, hoping to make a statement against her parents.
Her wardrobe often consists of cute layered tops with a pair of tight jeans of a short skirt. She often likes to accesorize with a cute headband or a couple necklaces. Three friendship bracelets are visible on her right wrist. One is from her best friend when she was eight who attends another school of wizardry after moving to a different continent. One is from a guy who's summer love she enjoyed and liked more than she would ever admit. The last is from one of her current best friends.[ooc:no name yet lol]
Personality: Icy. Bitch. Skank. Disdainful. Rebel. Outgoing. Popular. Shallow. Slut. Airhead. Cold. Schemer. Revengeful. Party-gal. Ditz.
All manners of describing Sally in one word, or titles she's been given by the many people she's proclaimed as 'losers'. Sally's personality is one that can change in seconds, from laughing contently with friends to narrowed eyes and one goal- revenge. Any humiliation she has ever suffered at the hand of another, whether it was meant or not, has been returned in a manner much worse. Sally is despising of others and rarely changes her opinion of someone for the better. Those she writes off from the start as pathetic often never get another word from her- or at least not a very nice one.
Sally often appears to be a 'true blond', never excelling in her studies and often saying things without thinking them over. However, she's smarter than people think. Her eyes sweep over a room, calculating everything, while on the outside look pleasantly surprised and content. She is a master of manipulation and getting what she wants. After all, who had smart just means you do well at school or get big word? They were a liar. There are many kinds of smart, and Sally is people-smart.
Party-girl? The word was invented for her. Sally has thrown and attended many wild parties and has a blast each time. Any whiff of a cool party and, no matter how tired she is, she's there. Sally is one nocturnal girl, too, and often doesn't fall asleep till a couple hours before she has to wake up. But it's not like she actually pays attention in class, so why should she care? In the morning, Sally is often tired but she would never dream of turning in earlier. After all, who cares if she oversleeps and skips morning classes. She certainly doesn't. Partying with friends is a great way to spend the night but Sally's gotten in trouble many times, especially when she's at home. Still, her parents would never find out if there was a little party in the common room that lasted all night, or exactly what went on...
Since the age of thirteen Sally has been rebelling against her parents and causing as many problems as she could. Unlike other rebellious teens, Sally knows that sometimes the best way to work is through sweet smiles and pleading words. At the age of fourteen she got a tattoo of a star on her lower back, in an attempt to make a statement with her parents. It worked. She got a lecture from each and then was grounded for two months. She kept it, to their annoyance, as a reminder that she always gets what she wants. And that is her parent's fault, but she's not about to get upset. Whenever Sally's feeling down or hard pressed by everything around her, she remembers the tattoo and knows she'll succeed. She always does.
Loyal. Though most wouldn't believe, Sally is a loyal and trustworthy friend, ready to keep a secret in a instant and knowing she's trusted by her friends. Of course, those who are her friends, are those who she liked from the beginning. It's extremely rare for Sally to make a new friend of someone she's known forever. Basically, if you don't hit it off well at the start, you probably never will. Of course, as trustworthy as she is, friendship's can shatter in a second, and then you'll be sorry to have ever trusted this gossip girl with your innermost secrets.
A too-short skirt or too-low cut top have in the past earned her some of the other nicknames but Sally really couldn't care less. To her, everything she does is all part of a big game, and she's an excellent player. She's never had qualms of shyness- not that she's shown- about being with guys and have dated too many to count in her years at Hogwarts. To everyone around her, Sally appears glowing with confidence, something that's quite handy.
On the inside, Sally is sometimes uncomfortable but tries her best not to show it. Though most wouldn't believe it, she is constantly thinking about ow she appears to others- personality-wise too. Sally wants to laugh at those that envy her, as much as she likes that they do. She has more problems than anyone would imagine. But, coming from her background, it's easy for everyone to believe your life is perfect. Go figure.
Likes: -(older) guys -parties -beaches -hanging out with friends -sleepovers -gossiping -slacking off work -staying up late -sleeping in -skipping class -revenge -rebelling -herself (duh!)
Dislikes: -losers -teachers -ah-nnoying responsible adults -know-it-alls -snobs (hypocrite, i know) -sleazes (see above, lol) -boring people -nerds/geeks -people with temper -cold places (she's a summer, not a winter, though she does like the cute coats)
History: You know those people who seem to have it all? Well Sally definitely comes from that background. Her rich, pure blood parents, Emily and James Ewart, gave their only daughter whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it, spoiling their little princess. It was many years before Sally ever heard the word 'no' coming from their lips, addressed to her. As she grew up she started to hear it more and often, to her dismay. That was when she started to learn other ways of getting what she wanted. More...subtle....ways.
Being an only child, Sally often felt lonely when she was younger, but she had many pets given to her by her parents and as she grew older she realized she was lucky not to have a horde of annoying siblings to have to deal with day and night. When her parents were at work, the house was hers. Unless you counted the servants, but who honestly would? She could do whatever she want since her parents imposed no limits on her and she took full advantage of this leeway from the time she learned to understand to- well she never stopped.
The first time Sally ever did magic was when she was seven years old and was playing on the swings at the park. A couple older boys were beating up an injured bird and Sally, who had been an avid animal-lover as a child (much more than now), grew furious and began to yell at them. They just laughed. Wrong move, after all, Sally has always hated being laughed at. The two boys began to float up into the air slowly, above the bird while the grew frightened and started screaming for help. Sally was so surprised that she lost her concentration and they fell to the ground a couple feet away from the bird. They ran away instantly and Sally was able to run over and get a good look at the bird, who turned out to be a baby owl with splendid white and gold plumage. She named her Mila and she is her owl to this day.
Her parents were thrilled when they learned of what had happened, but not more than Sally who had been worried she might not be a true witch. Her worries were put aside even more when, four years later, she received a letter from Hogwarts, telling her she had a place there. Her mother took her shopping, buying her the very best and Sally was thrilled. When she was sorted into Ravenclaw most people, including herself, were a little surprised since she has never been the smartest but perhaps the Sorting Hat saw the other kind of smarts in her.
ABOUT YOU Name: Kabby Years of Experience: 1-2 Sample Post:
Sally frowned, her lips curving into a disapproving stance and her eyes narrowing. How hard was it for Professor Slughorn to understand? She. Didn't. Like. Waking. Up. Early. Especially not to come to such a stupid class. And on a day where they were learning love potions? Sally rolled her eyes in contempt. Like she needed them? The absolute, only thing that would have been mildly interesting would have been the expression of rapt interest on the faces of those who actually cared. Those who were memorizing every word from Slug's lips, and would be concocting their own potions later, somewhere hidden, hoping to spike the drink of whomever the idolized. Sally's eyes narrowed, remembering when she had been the victim of such potion.
Stupid Andre Gaspard. How dare he slip a couple drops of 'fake-love' into her butterbeer that time in Hogsmeade. And while she had been on a date with Ethan Cornbeck. Her eyes narrowed even more just remembering. Still, Andre had been a quidditch player for Hufflepuff, older, and attractive. She would have gone for him if she hadn't been totally immersed with Ethan. But he had been so foolish. Even when she turned around and started kissing him, did he actually think it was going to work? The effects would obviously, wear off quickly. One drop didn't last long. He hadn't counted on the fact that once she started kissing him she wouldn't stop for more butterbeer. Ha. Ethan had punched Andre in the face, she had screamed. A minute later she had been back to normal, knew what had happened and had bitched and Andre for seventeen minutes and fourteen seconds. Surprisingly, Ethan has been understanding and was only pissed at Andre, not her. Anyway, it wasn't like she hadn;t gotten back at him. Slipping more than a couple drops of aged love potion into his pumpkin juice at breakfast. But surely not to make him fall in love with her. Nope. Etha Mildred. She had to be the ugliest girl in the school. Thad had been hilarious with a capital H.
Sally squinted as the sunlight began to filter through the windows. As if on cue, Slughorn , or 'The Slug', as Sally fondly referred to him other other unpleasant nicknames, entered the deserted classroom. A twinge of nerves shot through Sally's stomach but she managed to keep her face straight. Though no one else would have guessed, she would nervous. As much as she disliked the Slug, he was still a teacher and she had been late or absent from his classes too many times to count. If she got expelled form Hogwarts...well that didn't do thinking about. Hopefully she would just get a lecture and be done. It was funny, really, how much she was worrying beneath her simple expression of irritation. Funny how much she had been worrying about things lately. Funnyest that she, Sally Ewart, had need to worry. No one would understand. Her life right now, was as far from perfect as you can get. Well maybe not- but pretty far.
The truth was, with her parents mad at her and sending threatening letters about grades every day she had a right to be worried. She had been slacking off school for her whole life but apparently now, it was actually important. She needed to get a job, a career, become someone. And though she would shrug it off when with her friends, she was upset. She knew she needed to do well in school- she just didn't know how. She had never needed too. Still, she was in Ravenclaw. Pretty much anyone in her common room would be able to help her out. Simple enough and she still didn't have to do much. She should have known it would be okay, after all, she was excellent at dealing with problems. Of course, she would have to apply herself, and maybe actually go to class. Sally sighed, too quite for Slughorn to hear. It appeared that she still had problems, and that they wouldn't go away in a second or because she wished in. Her life still sucked.
Other: Mimbulus Mimbletonia or however you spell it (or blackboard?)
Note: I know she seems really perfect and all but she really isn't. She's quite insecure, she just knows how to appear like everything is okay. She's having more problems than people know right now and I think she would be a really interesting character to add to the school

Wow! Very nice I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes to get an app that actually comes up to standard. Thing is, you've got the 'Other' section wrong. Which means you haven't read all of the rules. At the end of the section you just read, there's a link. Click it ^^

It's just confusing cause it says furhter down that you've changed you're mind again and the otehr section should read 'Sectumsepera' or however you spell... annnnnnywaaaay ill go edit

Yes, that's to stop skim-readers and those who don't bother to read the rules at all. It can be a little confusing for those who actually read them, but it's a necessary evil. As I said, this is the part of the rules you have not yet read - ClickIf that wasn't the password when you signed up for your other characters, that means that the rules have been edited since. Therefore, they need to be re-read.

Hmm well I'm not sure. I saw that the gender ban has been lifted and that was the only reason why I used her instead of making an original since I don't really like the name...Well I'll just have her calling herself Sally Art instead maybe lol...Umm...Could she be....going into sixth year I think? The only problem is that then she would have done like horribly on her OWLs so she wouldn't be in many classesss. Unless of course her parents threatened her so she got some help....Yeah Ill do that. She'll be sixth year
