ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Scarlett Ellen Lorraine Age: 15 Gender: Female Year: 5th Celebrity: Christina Applegate
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: She's got long, straight hair of a light blond color. It reaches to the lower half of her back. Scarlett is very proud of her hair, and considers it one of her best asssets. It is the perfect frame for her oval face with no blemish. The latter is decorated by a pair of almond, light blue eyes-very lught blue, one could even mistake them for gray. Whenever she experiences stronger emotion, they glint. Her nose is regular, but slightly longer. Not that anyone would really notice it-Scarlett is the only one that ever complains about it when she looks at her reflection in the mirror for a longer amount of time. Her lips are full and cupid, of a pinkish color. However, she likes to use lipstick and color them red. That way, they contrast her pale tan and her regular, white teeth. Well, not really perfectly regular, but not horse-alike either. Her chin is a bit pointed, not too wide and not too thin. She's got a determined jaw and high cheekbones. Physique: Scarlett is of normal height, at 5''7. Her figure is slim, but curvavious; she takes all the precautions to keep it just like that, and has no desire to make any changes on herself at all. Scarlett has got a generous bosom, and she likes to point that out and emphasize it. She does so by clothing. Her favorite things to wear are tight jeans and tight tops. However, when it is appropriate, she enjoys dresses and high heels. Dresses are always by the lates fashon-short, tight and revealing decolletage. Since she can wear nearly anything, all the shops are open to her. Whenever she finds that she can't fit into some clothing, Scarlett feels angry and annoyed. Probably because of her slightly perfectionist nature. Another thing she really likes about herself are her legs. Long and slim, they are the reason all her skirts and dresses are above her knees-she likes to emphasize them just as her breasts. Her feet are slightly bigger, but not abnormally so.
Personality: Scarlett is a friendly person. She doesn't tend to dislike people before even meeting them and giving them a chance. Also, she is not one of those to tease and humiliate people who never deserved it. Meeting new people is something she really enjoys, and she tries to be friends with everyone. However, when she takes a dislike to someone, it's highly unlikely that she won't eventually tell them what she thinks of them. Plus, she won't let anyone step over her.
She has too much pride for her own good, and she is one of those people who like to say it all to your face. Never will you see her bowing to anyone's wishes, or being nice to anyone she doesn't deem worthy of it. Also, she is very ill-tempered, so her enemies tend to end up in the Hospital Wing. Sometimes, she is even rude to teachers, and she earns herself a lot of detentions.
Mischeif is something that comes to her naturally. It is as if trouble seeks her, instead of the other way around. This is probably due to her wish to prove herself and to be heard of. She always takes risks and is rather reckless, wanting to appear brave and cool in her friend's eyes. However, if they'd want to do something really, really wrong, she would tell them she's out right away. Being one of those enjoying a challenge, she would never attack a weaker person than herself; unless/as with everything about her/ she thinks they had it coming. Very vengeful, if you hurt her once, there is no way you're going to get away. Of course, she might just forgive you if you apologize and if you didn't do anything too terrible.
Scarlett is a prankster. Pranks are something she enjoys more than anything else in Hogwarts. There is no greater joy to her than making something hilarious happen-like, make someone's head grow two sizes or make someone's hair turn pink...she especially enjoys pranking teachers. She is a very jolly and a funny person; she loves to make jokes and to make everybody laugh. Scarlett is also very brave, and she would do just anything for someone she loves.
She's very loyal to them and she'd even die for them. Another interesting trait of hers-she's a perfectionist. Oh, now, not about everything. She's not one of those that mind if their room is a bit messy; if it's really messy, she will do something. Just as she is a perfectionist when it comes to herself-she won't ever break her eating order and she'd go berserk if there was an ounce of fat more on her. Her looks are something she cares about a lot.
Likes: +Pranks +Books +Boys +Dresses +High heels +Shopping +Loads of friends +DADA +Pizza +Being the centre of attention +Ice cream

History: Scarlett Ellen Lorraine was born to Stuart Lorraine, an Auror and a pureblood wizard, and to his wife Camilla, who was a muggleborn witch. Stuart's family had greatly disapproved of him marrying Camilla, but in the end they went along with it. Scarlett had not always been an only child-when she was born, she had a three years older brother, Evan.
The two used to be very close, until a tragedy happened. In his second year at Hogwarts, Evan was attacked by Fenrir Greyback. It happened while he was sneaking around the grounds towards Hogsmeade-apparently, Greyback was waiting for him somewhere. Only eight at the time, Scarlett understood only this much: that her father had refused to do a favor for Voldemort. Since then, she had hated Voldemort, and blamed him for the loss of her brother which had left her devastated.
Scarlett had been spoiled before, but when she remained their only child, Stuart and Emmeline literally showered her with gifts. She got every thing she could have possibly wished upon. When it came time for her to go to Hogwarts, she was overjoyed and she easily found friends. Her brother's death never made her be more careful, only more reckless. She too enjoyed sneaking around the grounds. Sometimes, she even hoped Greyback would find her so she could avenge her brother. A silly thought, but that's Scarlett. Her brother had been just like her, and the teachers often compared the two of them.
She had made friends in Hogwarts right away, just as well as enemies. Quite picky when it came to friends, but also good at judging people, she became quite popular. She had always possessed good charisma and social skills. People also labeled her as a troublemaker very soon. That, however, never truly got in the way of her grades. She had always been one of those persons that have natural intelligence and do not require much studying to keep those top grades. Scarlett wishes to become an Auror, just like her father, or, only in case she fails in the latter, write for the Prophet.
ABOUT YOU Name: Beta Years Of Experience: 2 Years Sample Post: Anastazia slowly raised to her feet as Tirzah entered the room. She expected for the old woman to order her to leave immediately, to forbid her to ever come near her house again or something similar. Putting herself in Tirzah's position, she had to admit she would have done the very same. Despite the fact that she would be angry with Tirzah for acting so, because it would be against her, she could not lie to herself and deceive herself well enough to believe she would have shown any more mercy and done anything different. When she attempted to imagine how she would've felt had she found a woman crying in the street, offered to wash her dress and make her some tea, treated her with kindness and respect, only to have the very same woman insult her race and all she had been through... Not to mention realizing that she was the daughter-in-law of the man who owned her, mistreated her and raped her...No, Anastazia would not have acted the same way Tirzah had. She would've conducted herself with much more crudeness and violence.
Tirzah, however, surprised Anastazia once more today. The elderly lady did not yell, did not show anger, did not display any kind of emotion. As a matter of fact, she didn't say a word. The sole thing she did was motion Anastazia to follow her. Awestruck, the latter did so obediently. They passed through the small house, and she produced a small nod at Rachel, not to leave without greeting her at all. She was James' half-sister after all. Anastazia wondered how James would have reacted had he known of all this. Would he mind a woman of color being his sister? Anastazia was sure he would mind it-but he wouldn't mind it as excessively as some other people she knew. If, this thought caused a painful twinge in her heart, James was alive, he would probably make sure that Tirzah and Rachel had the neessities for life...But he wouldn't actually come to them and spend time with them or anything. Of course, they'd be too proud to accept his 'charity', so they probably wouldn't be in contact at all.
Don't think about what could've been, what would've been, or what should've been, Anastazia scolded herself. Those thoughts never helped, they would only draw her into a world of her own imagination, and that world would eventually drag her away from this one, and she'd get carried away, forgetting how to live. And she promised James she would live. Once again she thought of her hopes of putting an end to her current...profession. It seemed more and more impossible, yet more and more desireable with every passing second. Was she truly going to leave the brothel right now? She didn't even have a place to go to, she'd have to spend the night in the streets...and she'd need to earn some money again. Nobody would employ her, so she would have to sell her body to survive, and eventually, she would return to the brothel. No; she saw, she wouldn't return. She'd starve rather than return and admit she was wrong, admit defeat. Her pride didn't allow her to do such things easily. Anastazia would sooner starve.
Before leaving the brothel, she had to find a job. Also, she had to make sure she had a place to stay, at least for a few days. Perhaps one of the boading houses; very cheap, mind you, because she had very little money at hand. Maybe; this idea seemed doable, if she spent another week at the brothel. No matter how much she disliked it, if she could've been a whore for years, she can be a whore for another week. During that time, she would sleep with the richest clients, spend as little money as possible, until she earned enough for a cheap room in a poor boarding house. Then, she'd go and look for a job. When her job would be secured, she'd move. Of coruse, it was going to be ver difficult to find a job. With her reputation, at least. A whore that used to sleep with a man when she worked as a governess...very few would take her in with such rumours circulating around her. But she was confident some would. People sinned worse than she had, yet they were taken in. Some employers did things so immoral they would not mind employing a whore.
They reached the door, and Tirzah pulled it open. Anastazia knew that Tirzah had every right to throw her out like this, she knew that she had even expected worse treatment. Still, there was her Hungarian temper and pride-no matter how right people treating her badly were, she would never bow to them or act is if they were right. Holding her head high, she nodded at Tirzah, walking out proudly. She was already a few steps away from the house, when the old woman's words reached her; “It’s no’ ya faul’, chil’, an’ don’ ya be feelin’ tha’ it is. Ah sim’ly canno’ bear ta be reminned jest now. Ah’m sorry fo’ ya dress, bu’ Ah canno’ do naught abou’ it a’ tha momen’. It’s nevah wrong ta love, chil’, an’ Ah ain’t gonna hol’ yer James agin ya. Ya will be welcome ta mah fla’ any time. Mah door will be open ta ya.” Despite all her pride and all her temper, Anastazia had to be touched by these words. Tirzah was indeed a very merciful woman; showing more mercy and more understanding that she herself ever could. Spinning around, Anastazia swallowed her pride, looking at Tirzah; "It doesn't matter about the dress, Miss Grant-Freeman. After the way I acted, you had the right to burn it and destroy it...undoubtedly the thing I would've done." She paused, and then went on, "Thank you. For your understanding. It is much more than I deserve." And then she turned around, walking away. Other: Mimbulus Mimbletonia

Firstly, if you'd read the notice in the Create a Character board and above the application form, you'll have seen that currently we aren't accepting original NEWT year characters due to a lack of students in years 1-5. Secondly, the 'Other' section is wrong. Make sure you read all the rules - that means clicking the link to The Rules (2) at the end of the first. Try again
