ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Name: Keri Johnson
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Year: Sixth
Celebrity: Alexis Dziena
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: She has about 2 inch below shoulder length brown hair that waves naturally. Although if she lets it dry on its own then it goes puffy. Which annoys her to hell. She has it down most of the time, and doesn’t like people telling her to put it up. She has a heart shaped face with dark brown eyes that stand out well from her features, with slim eye brows. Her nose is straight and seems to fit well in proportion to the rest of her face.
Physique: She is much like her mother, petite and slim. She stands at 5' 2" and she is often smaller than most, although this doesn’t bother her. Her legs are slim and she likes to show them off, often found in a skirt or shorts. But she likes her jeans in winter. She will wear anything that she thinks looks nice and is comfortable in, although is often seen flirting with guys, although it isn’t her main priority to impress them; most of the time.
Personality:
Keri isn’t the type of girl you’d like to mess with, and she tends to make snap decisions about people, to whether she likes them or not. Although this isn’t her best quality, she is usually correct on what she thinks. She can also change her mind back just as quickly, but it has to be something dramatic to do that. She speaks her mind most of the time, which can get a little uncomfortable, when she sometimes doesn’t know when to shut up. This is one of the main reasons she gets into trouble, or in duels. On the other hand this is one of her best qualities, you always know where you stand with her, and it tends to clear the air when one person says what’s on everyone else’s mind.
There is one time when she really knows when to keep her mouth shut, when she has been trusted with a secret. She will try her best never to break a promise to a friend. And that includes a secret. Once she’s friends with someone she will stick up for them no matter what, and that sometimes gets her into bother. She prefers to have (e.g.) 3 close friends, rather than a crowd. She enjoys being the centre of attention, but doesn’t ask for it (often) although she isn’t shy in a crowd.
She will never back down from a fight, and her vision is often clouded from doing the right thing because of this. It gets her into trouble at school, although she doesn’t mean to, she just speaks her mind. If she believes she’s right then not much will change her mind. She is usually good, although sometimes gets ahead of herself, when she is trying to impress someone, or just having fun with friends. She is quite good at keeping her emotions to her self, and putting on an act, this often helps her get out of trouble. Family is very important to her, and she will look after them with her life, she loves her little brother to death, and he does her, although neither of them like to admit it.
She likes to flirt, (and this can cause her to get in trouble) she will fall for a guys charm in a second. Although she’s not stupid, and knows when enough’s enough. Her favourite subjects are, defence against the dark arts, charms, care of magical creatures, and potions. This is mainly because it doesn’t involve too much writing. She gets bored easily, and finds ways to amuse herself, which (once again) sometimes leads her into trouble. She loves to play Quidditch, and practised from an early age, although her love for the sport has died down in resent years, she still likes to get on a broom every now and then to have a wiz around.

History:
Keri was born into a respectable wizarding family. Although her parents are wizards, they are totally with the whole ‘let muggles come to Hogwarts’ thing, and support Dumbledore all the way. She was born on the 1st of October, a murky day with drizzling rain. But that didn’t bother her parents, who were so proud to have there first child, a beautiful baby girl. She grew up around magic, learning the do’s and (very unfortunate) don’ts from a very young age. At the age of four her mother got pregnant again, to have a boy named Adrian. It was love at first sight for Keri, and unlike a lot who fight and get jealous of younger siblings. She embraced her responsibilities and became the perfect role model for him.
She had a normal child hood, well as normal as a young witches can be. Playing with friends, nicking her mothers wand, playing pranks with her brother (using the wand, I might add), and not for there parents lack of trying, they couldn’t stop them getting into mischief (so much for the perfect role model theory). The reason for there mischief making was out of boredom, so once there parents discovered the reason. The children were quickly introduced to Quidditch, which both took to instantly. There farther would take them to an open field, surrounded by high trees, and let them loose. But he also taught them, making them both learn properly, instead of just messing around.
Keri got her first wand when she was 7, but was only allowed to use it with instruction. They also got a pet at the same time, the family cat. Yani was normal enough, a playful kitten, but something about her always seemed… different. She was always there for the children when they needed her, and Yani is still with the family to this day. When Keri was 11, and due to leave for Hogwarts, her parents got her her very own owl, so she could keep in touch.
Adrian was so jealous about Keri going to Hogwarts, he would miss there games and it would be another four years before he would be able to go. Every summer she came back. And found her and her brother drawing apart. His love for Quidditch increasing ten fold, while she wasn’t so interested anymore, although she still loved to play. While at school she writes back frequently, family being an important part of her life, and although she loves it at Hogwarts, she still misses them.
ABOUT YOU
Name: Emma
Years of Experience: About 1 & a half
Sample Post:
Keri had been at the library, looking up wizarding history with dragons, for her care of magical creatures essay. It wasn’t the most interesting thing in the world. And to be honest she hated it, but it was due in tomorrow and this was her last chance to prove she would to the written work as well as the practical. It got late, and she didn’t even notice what time it was, until the librarian shooed her out. Saying it was time she should be in bed. She collected her things up, stuffing them in her bag and heading out. Planning on finishing up in the common room. Although her thoughts didn’t go according to plan, as half way down the corridor her bag split. Spilling books everywhere and making a huge noise. It woke up some portraits on the wall and they all started to grumble at her for making such a racket. Then she heard someone coming down the other corridor, and to save unfortunate detentions she turned and ran. Having stuffed the books back in her bag.
She ran through the deserted corridors. Being as quiet as possible although her foot steps echoed through the halls. Quite a hard task. It was pitch black and the light from her wand bounced off the walls, then she heard something in the corridor ahead. “nox” She murmured, and the corridor was plunged into darkness, listening quietly, then light glittered at the corridor entrance. She froze, why now? She had only took a little detour, and anyway, this wasn’t her fault. If the librarian hadn’t told her so late… but anyway, she scuffled behind some armour. Hoping beyond hope that the person wouldn’t come down this corridor, and just carry on past. The light stopped and shined down the corridor she stayed really still. And they carried on by. She breathed again, phew.
Waiting for a second before she headed off in the other direction, back to the common room. She didn’t see anyone for a while, so lit her wand back up, remembering to jump the step on the staircase. The one which you fall through if your not careful. Finally reaching the common room, putting her bag down and flopping into a chair. She did not want to go through that again for a while. Sighing and pulling some ink and a feather out of her bag. She got out the essay and started to write again, scribbling down what she could remember before finishing and heading to bed. It was late, she wasn’t sure what time, but it was, but it had been dark for an age, and the fire was starting to burn out before she went to bed.************
Keri awoke with a start, sitting up and looking round the dorm. She was shattered, totally wiped. And she knew she had to get up, thinking about last night, and hoping no one had seen her. She got up and got dressed, always being an early waker, no matter what time she went to bed. She just couldn’t sleep when there was daylight outside. It was still quite early, so she went over her essay again, tweaking some things before heading out. She had one more task before lessons started: send letter to home. She grabbed a feather and some ink, along with some parchment, and started scrawling down words.
Dear Mum and Dad,
Arrived safely, its good to be back but I’m missing you loads. Sorry I didn’t write sooner, been really busy with all this work they’ve been putting on us. Its lesson soon so I can’t write much, just letting you know I’m okay. How’s Yani? I hope shes doing okay.

It was only short, but then, there wasn’t that much to say. She rolled it up and headed out the dorm and into the corridors. The castle was deserted, and she didn’t see anyone on her way there. Climbing the stairs to the owlery, it was sunny, and the usually cold stone was warm to touch. “Kit” She called, when she reached the top, and a owl dropped from the rafters. Landing swiftly on her arm. “I want you to take this home.” She said, tying the letter to her owls leg, giving her a slight stroke, before she took off into the sunrise.
