ABOUT THE CHARACTER[/b]
Name: Rodolphus Lestrange
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Male.
Year: Seventh.
Celebrity: Gaspard Ulliel [French like the name 'Lestrange' =)]
Canon or Original?: Canon.
Facial Properties:
At first glance, Rodolphus looks as if he has mud-brown eyes, partly due to his sleek brown hair that constantly casts a shadow across his forehead, yet when one is close they can actually see that they are a steel-blue grey. At times they are actually steel when he is giving someone the stare. He has well-maintained eyebrows, not the thick-forest kind a lot of men have. He believes he is he best, and so, he needs to look the part and stand out more then others (no matter how much teasing most of his friends give him). He likes to be groomed. Despite going over the usual details of a person, Rodolphus has a certain mark that normally sets him from the rest. It really isn’t a mark to gloat about as it more haunted him than not. He has a permanent scar that creates a semi-deep groove across his left cheek [[how he got it is mentioned in the history section]].
Physique:
While Rodolphus isn’t your most slender man, he still tends to remain in the slender category even though he, being a teenage boy, gorges practically every time a meal is set in front of him and doesn’t really ‘work out’. He has rather narrow shoulders for a guy that are apt to clash with his partially larger head and longer neck (at least when his hair is cut) almost making him look like a life size ken – somewhat disproportioned…in addition with his long legs and short torso.
For being a guy, he has rather soft hands. Most likely the reason for him not liking to shake (especially other guys) peoples’ hands. Rodolphus, when out of his uniform robes that he is forced to wear at Hogwarts, can be seen wearing a simple, dark button up shirt and a pair of dark jeans. He isn’t the one to dress up usually, but he does own a tux that is shoved to the back of his closet for ‘emergencies’.
Personality:
To see who Rodolphus really is, you need to know where he started off. He was a Slytherin, naturally. He quickly found that he had been sorted into exactly the right house as even on the first day he was already in Slughorn’s office being reprimanded for giving a Gryffindor an extremely harsh case of boils. However, Rod did not always hex or curse others for just fun, it was the pleasure and the ‘thrill of the hunt’ (in a sense) that flooded his mind.
Rodolphus has many different aspects to his personality, contrary to popular belief. A part of it is his condescending trait. Being brought up in one of the rare pure-blooded families, he was taught that there was nothing better than him. In a sense, he was at the top of the food chain. Consequently, it’s not all his fault that he treats others, that of muggles, mudblood, and half-bloods, horribly like he does. However, he does admit he enjoys the art of mudblood-hating because there is nothing better than a good hex attack on a mudblood in the school hallways, especially if he gets away with it and they are in Gryffindor (always a plus).
Rod is a loud and out-spoken person, obnoxious some even say. If he doesn't like you, he will usually tell you upfront, that is if he doesn’t see some use for you later on. He likes the spotlight on him (commanding attention and respect) and has a tendency of showing off a little too much. He does whatever floats his boat. He doesn't like to be told what to do, feeling that people have no right to tell him what to do. He does whatever he feels like when he wants to and doesn’t particularly care what people think about it either. On the other hand, when in the face of authority, he does become a bit reserved and quiet. Yet, that doesn’t stop him from talking about them behind their back. Besides, it’s much more pleasurable to rag on them and spread horrible rumors about them to his mates later on, concocting schemes to get them back later.
With Rodolphus, of course, comes the clashing ego of the male to that of the Slytherin. Being a male, Rodolphus fancies himself to be a dashing young lad who is able to land any gal he wants to. While being a Slytherin, Rod believes himself to be a better-than-thou wizard. These two frequently combine however into something that scares even him. Another combination found in his personality is that of his intelligence and cruelness. Like already mentioned, he is not one to curse out of boredom, although they are often factors, but not always the sole reason. He is one of those people that are capable of planning out horrific aggression without even the bat of an eyelash at what he just caused – a meticulous planner.
Despite most of Rodolphus’ hard exterior, he does un-admittedly have a somewhat softer interior when broken through. He can ‘care’ about things like ordinary people and even sympathize with some. Surprisingly, yes, Rodolphus can even (decently in fact) listen to what others have to say and feel where they are coming form at times. Part of this timid side comes from the scar he is forced to wear for the rest of his life, and what it stands for.

History: Rodolphus was born in the late 1950s to his parents Charles and Blair Lestrange. Instead of being the only child, however, a brother came along not too long after him. Just like Rodolphus’ name began with an ‘R’, so did the brother’s – Rabastan. During their first few years, the two constantly competed against each other for their parents’ attention. When one began a fit of tears, the other followed more dramatically in hopes of getting both the parents’ sympathy and tender care. In spite of this, the more the two brothers matured the more they saw how ridiculous they were acting. He and his brother got on relatively well. Rod always looking out for his baby brother Rabby. In fact, Rod made Rabby his number one priority during their childhood days, always keeping a watchful eye on his younger brother while still being the older brother he was by antagonizing him once in a while.
There was one particular instance that Rodolphus’ keen eye came in to actual gratitude. Rodolphus and Rabastan were playing around the outside of Borgin and Burkes one day while their parents were inside the store on ‘business’. A dog, Doberman to be exact, came from behind the alley they were playing near and leapt for Rodolphus’ younger brother. Quick with his reflexes, Rodolphus put himself between the dog and his brother and received the full blow of the dog’s baring teeth on the left side of his face. It was something that stuck with him the rest of his life, literally as the scare became part of Rodolphus’ identity for good.
As he matured, Rodolphus’ intellect became even more apparent. He caught on to things and picked things up quickly. He could read between the lines of almost anything. He became an expert at reading his parents emotions, knowing when was the best time to approach them about this or that and when to leave them alone. It always came in handy when that desired, new broom came into the wizarding market. Because of his parents selected social circles, he was regularly introduced to the Blacks. Rod and his brother spent many a days with Regulus, Bellatrix, Narcissa, Sirius, and Andromeda. However, the latter two were quite reluctant in joining the others games.
When he turned eleven, Rodolphus was sent to Hogwarts and unquestioningly sorted into Slytherin. He immediately measured his competition on the first day of school and continued through the years to rival their false stories with things he had actually accomplished himself.
One big disappoint, although not a complete surprise, was when his old playmate Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor. Of course, he couldn’t dare associate with someone who was in Gryffindor, so he was forgotten as if they had never spent those afternoons wrestling in the mud. Andormeda Black was another, being sorted into Ravenclaw and the rest of her family into Slytherin naturally, but that did not really affect Rodolphus as much as it did the two other Black sisters. Speaking of the two other Black sisters –well one in particular at least, Rod began to notice how the lovely Bellatrix was beginning to mature into a fine young lady and, thus began his development of feelings towards her.
Charles routinely sent Rodolphus the Daily Independent as to enlighten him about was going on in the world outside of Hogwarts. Rod actually requested the newspaper every week, since the day his father told him about a new rising force, a dark one. He followed it quite devotedly, as most slytherin students did, and made sure that whatever his father could tell him, he told him.
ABOUT YOU[/b]
Name: Troy.
Years of Experience: Two.
Sample Post: Tap. Tap. Tap. The only sound heard throughout the poorly lit and gloomy store. The sound would have definitely bothered this young man if it were otherwise being made by some other being; but Rodolphus was in complete solitude, which aroused another disturbance. The shopkeeper was no where to be found. “Great customer service here,” Rodolphus muttered as he rolled his eyes with displeasure. He decided he could spare a few more minutes to wait for the incompetent shopkeeper because he seemed to be in a rather satisfied mood. Earlier that day, Rodolphus had received a letter from his Grandparents. However, it was not the letter that made his eyes gleam with eagerness (a letter from his grandparents never did), but the other items that took up much of the residence in the package; the 30 galleons.
That was actually what had brought him to Borgin and Burkes in the first place. The money desperately wanted to be spent and he was no one to get in the way of that wish. But with the uncostumer-like manner of the place, he was finding it rather hard to do so. He pushed away from the counter and began to look around the store with the item of his pleasure neatly tucked under his arm. Rod might as well pass the time with some more sight-seeing of the detiorating place. As he leisurely toured around the store, his feet brought him to a halt at a rather gruesome jar. “Nice,” he whispered to himself as he grasped his fingers around the jar with some green gooey substance paying homage inside.
With one final movement, he had the jar lid slipping off the top until a voice shattered the eerie silence of the store. Rodolphus quickly screwed the top back on and turned towards the source of the commotion. He found himself glaring at an elderly and exceptionally unkept man. His trousers seemed to be two sizes too big and his hair oozed of oil and dandruff. His fingernails were badly bitten to the skin and wrinkles seemed to decorate the rest of him…The shopkeeper finally decided to show his face. “Hard of hearing aren’t ‘ya filthy buggar,” Rodolphus began with a tone full of retort, “I’ve been standing here for ages while you have been most likely dreaming false hopes that you will one day be successful and handsome in the back.” Rodolphus’ front now turned from the shelf the jar rested upon and strode towards the counter once again. “The Lestrange’s aren’t known for being so merciful.”

Hope this is all up to par for his character.
