How did you find us? Oh gosh, I can’t even remember. What about ISS inspired you to join? The overwhelming coolness. Actually, I join sites that usually have more than 30 people, but less than 80, so I can be with them when they grow. ☺ Do you have any suggestions for us? Keep up the coolness.

About the Character- -
Name: Catherine “Kitty” Mae Beaufort (pronounced “bow-four”) Age: 15 Gender: Female Year: 5th year Face Claim: Natalie Dormer
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties:
Kitty Beaufort’s slightly rounded heart-shaped face is a backdrop to her well-proportioned characteristics. Her eyes, what the world seems to rant and rave about, are her most prominent feature, their almond shape even spaced (if perhaps a little too far apart) on her face. Looking into them, it seems as if you’re pulled down into their grey-blue depths, only released when Kitty decides you’re of no more use or interest. Unless you’re extraordinarily lucky, they will only show you three emotions: boredom, lust, or a look that can only be described like a mix between a begging puppy and, pardon the expression, a cat that wants the can of salmon that you’re holding. This look, of course, could also go into the category of lust, but as homework extensions and the like go, the look really requires it’s own special category. If you are, however, one of the lucky few that see more, her eyes display her emotions like an artist paints; beautifully, passionately, and with a uniqueness that is solely Kitty Beaufort.
The bridge of Kitty’s nose is moderately thick, but it ends abruptly with wider, rounded nostrils. Even with the sudden stop of her nose, it still ends smoothly, rounded gently and leading to her lips. Her petite upper lip has a defined cupid’s bow, joining the thicker lower lip to form a permanent hybrid of a smirk and a pout. Kitty always seems to be smiling, with the corners of her lips constantly pulling up as if she knew a secret that you didn’t. Her skin is fair; while not pale per say, it’s certainly not tanned. Likewise, her skin is very clear without marks or blemishes. Kitty breaks out just like any normal 15 year-old girl, but she also clears up remarkably fast and easily.
She changes her hair color like most people get dressed. She has three main colors that she sticks with, but her thick, shoulder-length hair is usually colored a deep brown. Her other favorites are platinum blonde or a highlighted dark blonde. She is very compulsive about it, and might go through three colors in a month… It just depends on how the mood strikes her. Kitty’s very thankful that coloring spells aren’t damaging to hair, or all of hers would probably have fallen out by now.
Physique:
Being 5 foot-6 inches, Kitty feels that she’s the perfect height; not so short that she has to look up to see people’s faces (unless they’re ungodly tall, in which case that’s their fault, not hers), but not so tall that she towers over the opposite sex. She’s built athletically, with some defined curves but not an obvious hourglass shape. Kitty’s around 125 pounds, and she doesn’t plan on changing that anytime soon; she loves to exercise and stay in top shape for Quidditch and other sports. Her toned stomach is her favorite physical asset (besides her eyes, of course), and never hesitates to show it off if the opportunity arises.
Her body is well proportioned, with a long torso. Her legs are athletic and a good balance to the rest of her body. Kitty hates her small breasts; they’re a large A cup/small B cup, but Kitty is inconsolable about them. It’s given her a kind of over-compensation mentality about them- Kitty has no issue wearing clothing that’s revealing in that region, as if she’s just waiting for someone to comment so she can hex him or her into oblivion. And, trust me, there is no better way to get hurt then to tease Kitty about her chest. Only certain death awaits you.
Kitty’s hands are an average size, and very graceful. Because of her dancing when she was much younger, her hands (when idle, which is seldom anyway) seem to naturally fall back into a kind of ballet position: light, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing.
Personality: To her ever-watching public, Kitty is a classic bitch: she knows what she wants, and not only does she know how to get it, she usually succeeds. She comes across to a lot of people as cold and haughty, which she can be. Kitty puts on quite a show for the rest of the world to let them know that she doesn’t care what they think, but in all honestly… Wait, she really doesn’t care. If the rest of the world gets in her way, Kitty has no qualms about kicking some ass. She’s an accomplished fencer, so a wand wouldn’t even be necessary. This doesn’t mean that Kitty doesn’t have a conscience; if you get in her way, you deserve a good butt whooping, but if she has a problem with something you’re doing, she will let you know.
In the company of her friends, Kitty displays many of the same qualities. She can be difficult to deal with at times, and can take friendships lightly. When she makes a true friend, Kitty can still be flaky and temperamental but can always be counted on for good fun. She’s the life of the party. She can drink with the best of them, and is usually the first to suggest a wild (and almost always risky) idea once she’s had a couple in her. Kitty also has no qualms about sleeping around, even if the boy is technically taken. Unless said boy has a connection to her that will come back to haunt her, like a friend’s boyfriend or significant other, Kitty couldn’t give a damn. This mindset, of course, only applies to her; if another girl tried to take her man… Well, I’m sure you’ve gotten the idea by now.
Kitty expects to be a princess in a relationship, and loves to play the game of love. She’s very clever and obviously a strong personality, so she’s used to “wearing the pants”. However, she’s constantly disappointed in her love interests, building them up in her mind and then realizing after a few weeks that her seemingly idyllic man is not so ideal. Though her attitude about dating is lax, Kitty desperate wishes for a partner in crime. She wants someone who’s not going to let her push them around, but who will regard her as an equal and demand the same kind of respect from her. So far, this idea has not gone well.
When it comes to schoolwork, Kitty doesn’t scrimp. Like in her non-academic life, she blows hot and then cold, but no matter what gives all of herself. School, though tiring and troublesome, will help her get ahead in life. The thought of success drives Kitty, helping her to excel in her schoolwork and earn high marks. Unfortunately, Kitty has never seemed to get the hang of certain classes, such as Potions, Divination, or Arithmancy. For Potions and Arthmancy, she has trouble with the mathematics and proportions aspect of the classes. As for Divination, Kitty regards it as utter rubbish, and has absolutely no respect for the subject. Thankfully, she’s never had to take the subject, but Potions has been a constant struggle for Kitty since her first year. With her determined nature, Kitty’s managed to pass all of her classes in the subject.
On the other end, her best subjects are Care of Magical Creatures and Transfiguration. Kitty loves animals, which bring out a much softer, more nurturing nature in her. She enjoys Transfiguration because of its opportunities for her to be creative; it gives her a kind of power, even her own magic. As to her professors, she usually gets mixed reactions; Kitty does very well in her classes, but makes no extra effort to charm her teachers unless she needs them for something. Some professors find this forward approach amusing or endearing, while others practically despise her for her manipulative ways. It all depends on how personally they take her actions.

History: {4+ paragraphs}
Kitty’s mother, Jane Dunstan was only 15 when she met her future husband, Henry Beaufort. They were introduced at Hogwarts, the young, fiery and passionate Slytherin woman meeting the pensive, yet strong Ravenclaw Frenchman. Henry was two years older than Jane, and in striking contrast with her with his closely chopped strawberry blonde hair to her long, thick brunette locks. He was tall, a good six feet tall, while poor Jane was but a little taller than five-foot-three. The two future lovers met on the Quidditch pitch. Both students were Chasers, though, quite obviously with different styles. From the beginning of her Quidditch career, Jane was aggressive, focused only on her goal and anything it took to get to it. Henry, on the other hand, was careful, watchful of the other player’s moves and weaknesses.
This friendly rivalry on the pitch escaladed game after game. The two players were evenly matched, and though the games could get competitive to the point of violence (on Jane’s side, of course), Jane and Henry grew to have an enormous respect for each other. They started meeting quite openly, despite grumblings from both Ravenclaws and Slytherins. Eventually the friendly meetings turned in to what everyone else knew that it would; a romance. Of course, not everything went smoothly. Jane was sometimes insanely jealous of the female attention Henry got, and often would fly into rages. Henry was always there, being reasonable and observant, to calm her down and win her over once more.
After leaving school, Henry got a job in the Ministry of Magic, and waited (patiently, of course) for Jane to reach the end of her schooling as well. The time seemed to last forever, with Jane bored at school and desperate to be living life, like Henry was. When time finally came to leave school, Jane was overjoyed, and wished to marry as soon as possible. Her soon-to-be husband agreed, and a month later, they were finally married. A year later, Jane gave birth to twin boys, who the couple named Gregory Bryn and Thomas Christopher, later known as “Greg” and “Thom”. The new family was as harmonious as one with Jane Beaufort in it could be; Greg and Thom seemed to have inherited their father’s temperament, though Greg was undoubtedly more rambuncious than Thom.
Four years after the birth of her twins, Jane, a still happily married house witch, gave birth once more to a baby girl. She was christened Catherine Mae Beaufort, and was the princess of her home. Henry, even as a Frenchman, had done quite well in Ministry politics, and therefore had acquired a small fortune. The couple wasted no time doting upon their young sons, and especially on their new daughter. Kitty grew up in London with every luxury her little heart could desire, but it soon became clear that she was much more like her brother Greg than her father, mother, or Thom. Kitty was never quite as aggressive as her mother, but nor was she as steady as her father. Greg and Kitty were inseparable, dragging Thom along on their adventures.
Her family is ultimately undecided as to where their loyalties stand. Jane is more inclined to support the Dark Lord, while Henry leans towards the Order of the Phoenix. Kitty herself has not decided yet, but Greg and Thom both support the Order of the Phoenix. Though the family is “pureblooded”, Kitty doesn’t necessarily dislike Muggle-borns; she simply has no patience for those who are ignorant. Well, she doesn’t really have patience for most people.
Sample Post: From the thread “Complex”, with Sirius Black and Anette Baker
Because the wind is high it blows my mind
"Boo."
At the sound of Sirius's enterence, Anette spun around to face him, her curly hair whipping around her surprised face. Her expression was certainly shocked, if not a little embaressed, but she hid entirely the fact that even this little surprise had scared her a bit. Instead, to hide her embaressment, Anette rolled her eyes before giving Sirius a chilling look of irritation. If he's the worst thing this forest has to offer, she thought, I'm home clear... But he's not, so we both need to be on our toes. Sirius trying to be some stupid prankster isn't going to help if something actually happens.
"So, what exactly do we have to find before I can get the hell out of here?"
Ah, of course no apology. Why would he? That would require remorse, aka, a conceince. No luck there of course. "We're supposed to be looking for Flitterbloom... Apparently some of the creatures like to eat it, and the Professor's all out." Anette replied calmly. The tone of her voice even surprised her. Heck, the fact she answered surprised her. But she really wanted to get out of here, and it seemed quite obvious Sirius felt the same way. "Look, I just want to get this over with. I don't want to be out here with you any more than you want to be out here with me. Let's just find the stupid plant. Remember, " Anette added, "Flitterbloom looks just like Devil's Snare, except that it's harmless. Don't try to be some boneheaded Gryffindor and get killed trying to show off like usual, ok?"
Not that I'd particularly mind if he- No, no, that's too mean.
Anette started to walk deeper into the forest, assuming Sirius was walking with her. There was so much vegitation around, it was going to be remarkable if they found a plant that looked like Flitterbloom, let alone the actual thing. They had studied the plant in Herbology, but Anette still didn't know much about it. This was the kind of time where it would have been useful to know the kind of area it grew best in, or the type of sunlight it needed. Aparently not that much, if it's in here, Anette thought gloomily. Spots of sunlight seeped through the closely packed trees and various plants, but the forest was, nonetheless, full of shadows and mist.
Lifting her wand up higher, Anette muttered a spell and a light burst from it, illuminating her path in front of her. They were going deeper into the forest, and the darkness was becoming more and more absolute. Anette turned around again, making sure Sirius was still with her. Her face, illuminated by her wand, seemed more nervous and worried than before at the outskirts of the forest, but she tried to make conversation nonetheless. The total silence of the forest was getting to her. "So... Where do you think we should head?"
