I know our last encounter didn't end on good terms, but you seem like a good person, if not easily influenced.
I'm sorry for having upset you, but I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't lose faith in people. We may be a cruel, selfish and ill-mannered lot, but we do have our good moments.
I hope you perk up over the summer months at any rate.
