Well since your reading this you must be as bored as I am. If I've never met you here's a few basics my name is Ludovic Aidan Bagman, but you can call me Ludo. I am amazing at quidditch and pretty soon I'll be famous, so it would serve you well to get to know me now. If for no other reason than to say you knew me when...
Yours Truly, Ludo Bagman

But it wouldn't be quite right to claim to have "known you when...", would it? For all you are to me, now at least, is a slip of paper with some interesting looking handwriting.
That best be your real signature, though. Just in case.
And how's the weather?

Interesting is new way of describing my handwriting, but I rather like it. And I may be just a slip of paper to you now, but if you hold my attention long enough you may just be lucky enough to meet me in person. And I should warn that while it is my hand writing and actually signature would have been far less legible, but I'll be sure to give you a signed photo if we ever get a chance at that face to face
The weather is...well it looks alright, but there is only a very small window in this dreadful classroom and the view is mostly of the stone wall, still I think it's safe to say it's not raining Miss um...would you like me to address you as you're signed intials or do you have a name to go along with them?

Errin. Pronounced with one, but spelled with two 'R's. Completely, I would be Errin Rhea Ailishe, but we're not as formal as our parents might have been, right? So I suppose that might not matter as much.
Speaking of, parents, I mean... My father would probably be more interested in a signed picture of a famous Quidditch star. He follows many of those already. If only I could remember his favourite... He has so many...
Anyway, I think I am lucky enough just to have found your note. Now I have something else to think about other than class. It makes learning much easier for me to do if I multi-task. And now to put this back where you (or someone else perhaps?) will find it!

Errin it is then, quite a nice name if I may say so.
Well then I'll be sure to get you one for him as well. Perhaps, if you're really nice I can even arrange to meet with him, any fan of quidditch is alright in my books.
So it seems we're saving each other from the monotony of a boring classroom experience. So, Errin tell me about yourself, hobbies, and such. Figure we might as well get acquainted as we've got quite awhile until that bell mercifully ends this class.

Hobbies? My. In truth? Too many to write on even an inch of parchment. I might fill a foot, or more, even! That... And my arm might fall off from over-use! My hobbies change like the... positions of all those paintings on the walls, or the people in them at least. A few of my most recent interests will be enough, I hope. For example: Stories of all kinds, fashion (for clothing mostly) and muggle things.
I'm no stranger to trying new things though, so even those may change between now and the next note I send. Assuming you reply, of course. Am I safe in guessing that Quidditch is your top hobby? Which team do you play for? Or is it more accurate to ask what house your in? You're not in Gryffindor, are you? I think I would have at least heard your name around the commons if you were.

That'll do just fine. It's good to know you like to change things up though. And muggle things? anything specific caught your fancy or just a general fascination with the inventions of the non magical?
What makes you think I wouldn't write back? I'm actually rather enjoying our little conversation, so no worries there. And indeed quidditch is my number one. As of now lets try sticking to houses, I'm in Ravenclaw and a beater, though I may just be a sub this year as I am in talks with the Wimbourne Wasps for a pro contract, but nothing is for sure yet.

Mostly muggle children's books. I find it funny to find stories that they think they made up that are actually true, in our world, anyway. And some other things. Like, I think they call them "machine pencils"? Something like that.
So you aren't a star just yet? Star-in-training, then. A beater, hm? I used to play beater when my neighbours decided to get a game or two going, but that was quite a while ago. Are you in-- The 'n' seems to be half engulfed by a large blot of ink.
Sorry about that, my quill cracked. I meant to ask if you were also in 5th year.

Ah, silly muggles. You put the truth out there for them and they sell it as lies then they go off and make up their own lies to sell as truth...though I suppose muggles aren't the only one who sell lies for truth...Machine pencils, I may have heard of them, there like muggle quills aren't they?
Well, a star in my own right feared and respected for my abilities on the pitch, but on the Pro level I suppose star in training fits, though I intend to breakout my first year and just keep improving, hopefully I'll make the English national team within 3 years. You played beater? I wouldn't have took you for the type...and 5th year? No I'm in my 7th year, nearly out. scared of the future, but the contract negotiations certainly help calm the fear of what will I do when I graduate.

I hadn't realized positions had a type. At the time I just liked making the boys cry. It happened quite a lot if I remember correctly. I sort of lost interest though, right about the time I started wearing skirts again.
It's good to know that you have a plan for after school. My, 7th year? That feels like a long way off for me, although time goes by so quickly at Hogwarts. How did you know that Quidditch is what you wanted to do? I still haven't a clue.
Hm, that rhymed!

Had a bit of a Tomboy phase did we? Well, when it comes to beaters the common opinion seems to be the burlier the better, but somehow I don't see you as the burly type. Of course I could be wrong and there are most certainly exception to the burly rule. I myself am not all that burly, more chiseled I would say.
It does go by quick. And I'm not really sure how I decided. I've always loved the sport and I just decided that I couldn't see myself doing anything for a living...well at least not enjoy doing anything else.

Well, I don't remember being especially burly, and now you would definitely not use that as a descriptor for my current state of being, but... It wasn't like I was going Pro, and those boys cried way too easily.
I suppose it must be easier to choose your destiny if there's one thing you're especially passionate about. You must be an exceptional flyer.

Well good to know. Call me shallow, but if you had said you were burly you may have to start worrying about me not returning you notes. kidding...well not really
I certainly like to think I am, I mean I'm not much for speed, but when it comes to turn-arounds and 360's I'm a force to be reckoned with. I'm also a pretty decent diver, though that was a skill I developed just for fun. I figured it could only help, and it's quite fun.
And I'm sure you must be passionate about something

Dear Shallow,
I should like to see some of your high-flying spins and dives. I was only decent at that sort of thing. I never tried anything more than a half turn on a broom. I do like the speed, however. There's nothing like going faster than your own legs can take you.
And I am passionate about something. Many things, actually. I'd say it's fairly evenly distributed.
Errin
p.s. Are you sure shallow is really what you are? Maybe burly girls frighten you with all their strength and femininity.

speed is fine, but not all that essential for a beater, it's all about quickness and precision with your swings. And I'd be more than happy to show off you my moves. Perhaps we can arrange to go flying some time? After class perhaps.
Well I'd think many passions would make it easier, gives you options, but I guess that also means tough choices, well good luck anyway.
-Ludo
p.s. trust me I'm more feminine then these girls are
