About the Character- -
Name: Tabryn Jasper Haddock (born Tabryn Jasper Mathers) Age: Seventeen Gender: Male Year: Seventh Face Claim: Adam Lazzara
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties:
The first thing anyone would typically notice about Tabryn would be his soft, kind face. It's the sort of face that looks like the person behind it could never, ever hurt you. His rounded cheekbones, and big, bright eyes help give his face this gentle look. He's still got some ages old baby fat around his cheeks, making his face appear to be more rounded off, and actually give him a rather feminine head shape. But his other facial features never cease to make up for this. When describing Tabryn's features in full, one would say he's an overall attractive person in his own way, not in the typical attractive "clone" way. He's got his own specific look, which really isn't a bad thing, right? His eyes help define his face, sitting a little lower on his face than the average male's, and a little farther apart, too. These eyes, big, brown, and bright, seem to always be smiling under thin, arched eyebrows that are the color of sand, and had always been a tad lighter than the hair on his head. Tabryn's nose, however, is the part of his face that really helps him ease from that cute, puppy face, to a little more matured face. It's sharp, and narrow, ending at a violent point. This would be one of the only features he derived from his father, and it sits delicately atop a pair of soft, full lips that have a unique sandy pink shade, hailing a little lighter than most. These get chapped like you wouldn't believe in the winter, but typically remain smooth for the other parts of the year.
Tabryn cares more about his hair than the average male, doing everything he can to keep it healthy. The color being that of a deep brown, with natural hi-lites that are just a shade lighter. In the summer, this lightens up a little bit to a lighter, more caramel shade of brown. Falling to the back of his neck, it's generally straight until you reach the ends, when there's a little bit of wave. His bangs make a dramatic side sweep across his forehead, sometimes. The texture is odd. Like straw, but still very soft. The straw like texture makes Tabryn's hair thicker than most, but it's not unmanageable. On the contrary, Tabryn's hair cooperates quite nicely. Typically all he has to do in the mornings is brush once and go, and it still looks as if he had actually put effort into it.
Tabryn has never really had problems with acne and breakouts. His skin can get slightly oily at times, but rarely does he actually break out. As a baby, Tabryn had noticeable, dark freckles scattered around his cheekbones and forehead. Over the years, these have thinned out, and are now hardly visible at all. Tabryn does however, have a light red birthmark right behind his left ear. If you look hard enough, you may even be able to say that it looks almost like a heart. But unless you're thinking in that way, it pretty much just looks like a blob. This is typically well hidden by his mop of hair, but can occasionally be seen if Tabryn has his hair neatly pulled behind his ears, which he'll typically do in summer to "catch a breeze".
Physique:
Naturally not being the type to obsess over physical appearance, Tabryn is overall very confident about his body, and all of its assets. His height is about average, much closer to the taller side than the short, which is actually quite ironic, considering that when he was just a child, Tabryn was always the short one in his class. Back then, he had always dreamed about being tall, hoping he would eventually hit some sort of miraculous growth spurt, shooting him up above his classmate's heads, and quite literally, standing out among all of them. Now, Tabryn can honestly say that he could care less as to who he stands above, and who he has to gaze up at.
Unfortunately, he's lacking severely in the weight department. He doesn't eat, but that isn't exactly his fault. We'll get into that later, don't worry. But like we were saying, Tabryn is a very skinny, lanky boy, but that doesn't mean he's totally weak. Now obviously, he can't be the strongest person around given his size, but he's not totally helpless when it comes to physical confrontations, seeing as what he does have isn't fat, but rather, muscle. Tabryn typically doesn't get into fights, so this has never really proved problematic in the past. And whatever strength he doesn't have, he can make up for with magic, seeing as Will is very skilled with a wand.
As for overall personal expression and style, Tabryn is pretty simple. A few years back, he had a piercing in his left ear, but later decided it wasn't working for him, and let it close up. He has no tattoos, and never plans on getting any. He's afraid of needles. As for the way Tabryn chooses to dress himself, it's far from fancy. All about comfort, his wardrobe consists of nothing more than over sized t-shirts, and loose fitting pants. Aside, of course, from his school clothes.
Personality:
There really is no right way to describe Tabryn. He's simply all over the place. He's lovable on his best of days, and a downright bastard on his worst. That's actually an overstatement, Tabryn is never really that mean, even on his bad days. But the point is simply that he has too many quirks and traits to simply be considered a "nice" person or a "good" person or a "mean" person, etc. He's got about a thousand different people combined into one tiny body. His best quality, however, is his trustworthiness, and loving heart. Tabryn manages the problems of others before his own, and will never share even your deepest darkest secrets, even if you piss him off. He generally likes people, and honestly and truly believe that people are good overall. Or at least, this is a hope that he desperately wants to hold on to. In possessing these qualities, Tabryn is a logical candidate for the "buddy" type. Having him as a friend would be wonderful, and a rather easygoing friendship at that, but just because you wish to befriend Tabryn, doesn't mean he'll return the feelings. As I said, Tabryn is a very trustworthy and loyal person, but that in no way means that he invests the same amount of trust in others. He's been lied to way too many times to fall for tricks anymore. Yes, he does believe that people are generally good, but that doesn't mean he has to trust and befriend all of them. In fact, Tabryn is quite selective in who he trusts with his friendship.
Tabryn gets joy out of the simple things in life, as cliche as that may sound. Laughter, smiles, flowers, rain, swings.. All the things that you can't put a price on are the things that make Tabryn the happiest. Give him the most expensive item you can think of, and he'd more than likely say he would rather see a mother and her child laughing and playing in a park. That he would rather see a puppy asleep on the foot of some little kid's bed. That he would rather go run around barefoot in the grass. Those kinds of things make Tabryn happy. It may sound cheesy, and it may sound dumb, but Tabryn honestly doesn't care. He'll take simple over fancy any day. This has much to do with his overall laid back attitude toward life. The whole "don't worry about a thing" mindset. Tabryn doesn't work well with stress, and will simply break down if forced under too much pressure. Like a balloon, he just pops. And this in turn, has much to do with his suffering marks in school, I'm sure.
You'd never expect it, but Tabryn can be quite the ladies man when he wants to be. Now, granted that doesn't happen too often, but when he really likes a girl, he'll go for it. He's only ever actually slept with a girl once, in the end of his fifth year, and to this day feels guilty about it. Why? Because he had been drunk, and never even knew the girl's name. Tabryn had always promised himself that he would never turn into one of "those guys", the one night stand guys. He promised himself that he would never be placed into that situation, but he did it anyway. Thankfully, nothing happened to the girl, or at least, nothing that Tabryn knows of. Of course, he doesn't like to take into account the fact that there is no possible way of him actually knowing. After that experience, however, Tabryn realized that his morals were shit. He needed to shape up, that was for sure. And of course, being the goody-good that he is, Tabryn cleaned his act right up. He has never since slept with anyone. He's not exactly waiting until marriage, but simply until he actually loves a girl.
Another thing you'd never expect from Tabryn, is the fact that he's actually pretty sad. However, he dislikes making others sad, so he keeps it all to himself. Occasionally, he'll confide in his best friend, but usually, he'll just walk away. And by "away", I simply mean away from people, or if there's something specific that's bothering him, whatever that thing may be. He isn't exactly what you could call "depressed", he's just sad a lot. But Tabryn has the capacity to be happy, unlike some, so it's nothing too abnormal.
Overall, Tabryn's just a guy. Just a normal, everyday guy. He might just be a little kinder, and softer than most, which is probably the reason why he typically doesn't get along with most of the male species, and just enjoys females much more, seeing as their personalities simply match that much better. There's probably not one person out there who Tabryn will refuse to give a chance, or write off without getting to know them first. He's your average girl crazy, slightly depressed, not so school oriented seventeen year old, just a more kind, laid back version.

History:
Delilah Fogg was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. A truly good woman, putting others before herself, always. She was loving to everyone, and everything, even those who had wronged, or betrayed her in the past. Aiden Mathers was just as good. He worked for the Ministry, made decent pay, and had a big heart. They were perfect for each other, as cheesy as that may sound. How they met is no relevant story, the point is, she met him, they fall in love, they marry, they have a kid. That kid being the lovely Tabryn Jasper Mathers, who you just had the pleasure of hearing about. On October 27th, little Tabryn was hurled into the world with great force. From the start, he looked exactly like his mother. The Mathers were so happy with their little baby boy. Everything was perfect, everything was swell, everything was... not as great as I'm making it sound. While Tabryn appeared to be perfectly healthy and happy, as was Delilah, Aiden had been ignoring his own problems and being the typical "family man". He ignored the twisting pain in both of his sides, the early loss of hair.. everything slipped him by. He thought it was all normal. And of course, in his defense, none of it was too strange. But when all of this was put together, it wasn't quite as normal anymore. about Three years after Tabryn was born, Aiden passed away.
"Go wake daddy up for breakfast,"
Tabryn sprinted up the old creaky steps of their quaint little house, up to his father's room, with the biggest smile on his face. He loved the mornings when he got to wake his father up. Aiden always got the biggest smile on his face, as if his son had just given him the best gift anyone could ever ask for, and it always made Tabryn feel so special. He made his tiny little legs bound faster and faster up the steps, before bolting into his father's room without stopping. His heart racing with the excitement, Tabryn pounced on his father's soft, squishy bed, tapping him repeatedly with his index finger. Giggling, as Aiden remained motionless. Thinking he was playing a game, of course.
"Come on daddy, I know you're awake,"
Tabryn laughed wall he continued poking and prodding at his father. He really was good at this game. He didn't move an inch! After numerous tries at this, Aiden still refused to even open eyelid. The ear to ear grin on Tabryn's face slowly faded into a look of frustration, then quickly turned to a horrified expression, as he realized what was going on. Three year olds typically don't understand death, but Tabryn had been taught about the subject. He knew exactly what had just happened to his beloved daddy. Naturally, Tabryn did the only rational thing a three year old could do in this situation. Clutch tighter to the worn and torn stuffed frog he had clamped in his left hand, and scream louder than he had ever screamed before, as this was a new level of pain, which he had never experienced before. Delilah had heard the scream (as did anyone with in a five mile radius, I'm sure), and just as fast as Tabryn had, sprinted up the steps, only to find her baby sprawled out on her husband's bedroom floor, pointing to the bed with a trembling hand.
"What happened Mommy?"
Of course Tabryn knew what had happened. He just wanted closure. He wanted to hear it from somebody else, just to make sure it wasn't fake. Just to make sure it wasn't a cruel joke. And upon watching his mother drop to her knees and cry with him, he knew that what had just happened, was final. Delilah cried for months straight, not only about Aiden's death, but because of the horrid pressure of raising a three year old all on her own, and because of her raging loneliness. However, as kids of Tabryn's age get over things quicker, the haunting shadow of his father's death grew thinner and thinner over the months, but never left. You never really get over things like that. But about four years later, Delilah had decided that it wasn't fair that Tabryn go any longer without a father figure.
She soon found Daniel Haddock. He had known Aiden through a mutual friend, and had offered to help the family out. It was through this that Delilah had fallen in love. Even though he was only seven, Tabryn was old enough to be sickened both by this new man, and his own mother. He didn't understand that his mother wasn't trying to replace his father, but rather get her life back in order. Delilah and Daniel married one year later, leaving now eight year old Tabryn more confused than ever. It was, however, around this time that he began to show inklings of magical abilities through everyday tasks. It was also around this time that Tabryn was introduced to Monsterno, which at the time, was just a nuisance, not an actual identified problem.
Tabryn couldn't eat without throwing up. His body just rejected what he ate. There was a little voice in his head who wouldn't let him do things sometimes, but usually it was eating that was the problem. His parents thought this was just a temporary illness, but they really had no idea what was going on in their child's brain. It was like he was constantly hungry, but couldn't do anything about it. Sometimes this voice told him what to do, sometimes he wouldn't let Tabryn do what he wanted. Actually, calling it a "voice" isn't really accurate, seeing as it's not actually someone talking to him, but rather, something planting things in Tabryn's mind as if he were thinking them himself. After about six months of this, Delilah had to do something about it. Tabryn wasn't keeping enough food down, as if he wasn't small enough already.
Tabryn spent months on end in a clinic just to have the doctors tell him what he could have figured out himself. This issue was all psychological, and there was no way it was going to stop. Tabryn was told that eventually, he was likely to grow out of it, but for now, he'd just have to deal with it. The doctors had told him that he needed to give this "little man that lived in his head" a name, and maybe that recognition would help him outgrow it faster. Naturally, the first thing that came to mind was "monster." But it wasn't creative enough. By simply adding "no" to the end, Tabryn came up with Monsterno, and had officially given in to the little guy in his head. To this day, Monsterno still doesn't like to let Tabryn eat very often, but he's staying healthy enough to function normally.
Finally, just after everything had settled down for good, Tabryn had received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. His parents had acted excited, thrilled, even. But honestly, they were in no position to be paying for Tabryn's education. But their boy was a wizard! They couldn't just simply let that go. Needless to say, they found ways to accommodate, and made sure that Tabryn had his chance at Hogwarts. Home life got a little easier without an eleven year old boy to watch after, but still just as costly. Even today, the Haddock's aren't the most well-off people around, but they've all learned to live and accept what they have, considering what they've all been through to get where they are today.

I, Bethy=], have read the rules, understand clearly what my responsibilities are now that I am joining ISS, and will abide by these standards set by the staff.
OH!! and just a side note, if it still says "William" or "Will" instead of "Tabryn" anywhere in here, it's simply because I forgot to change it when I decided to go with a different name. I'm pretty sure I got them all, but we all make mistakes sometimes xP
