"I wish I could read Latin." The sound of a voice, which happened to belong to Mafalda, echoed down the single isle of books. Mafalda ran her fingers over the gold lettering on an old blue one. The characters on the front spelled out words that she didn't understand, because they were written in something she couldn't read- Latin. It would give me so many more books to read, she thought, as she reluctantly placed the book back on the dusty shelf.
Mafalda hadn't come to the library for any particular reason that evening. She was usually only in there to do her assignments. Every year she brought a stack of new books from home to read, but this year she had gone through them all already. Finding herself bored and without anything else to do but read, she ended up taking a little walk to the school library. She was hopeful that she could find something there to satisfy her, but so far- no luck.
Looking up the isle and then back down the isle, a glowing red book caught her eye. She seemed to have some trouble getting to it though, because when she started walking her feet got tangled with each other and down she went. Mafalda had tried to keep herself from falling, but only managed to bring a few books down with her. Pushing herself back up, on her knees, she closed her eyes and let out a little huff of air. Just like Honeydukes....why does this always happen to me, she thought, trying to block out any other memories referring to the candy shop. Regulus and her should have known better, especially the second time around.
