It didn’t take long for Kalib to be spotted again – it looked like he just wasn’t going to be able to finish his essay against his better wishes. It was rare he ever did homework, and now that he had set time aside to do so, it was being ruined by bombardments. First it had been Zane, and then Bethany – well, Zane didn’t fare too well when left alone. He came rushing over, a superior grin planted of his face. “Finally, you’ve been in there forever. Disgusting. But anyways, great news! That girl, apparently her name is Katie…or was it Katherine? Oh well, I’m taking her out next Hogsmeade weekend.” Zane seemed overly thrilled about that fact, so Kalib faked believable enthusiasm: “Wow, good catch,” he complimented, “Better watch out, I just might come along and steal her.” Zane groaned, “Man, don’t do that. You’re always doing that. Besides, your little Gorgeous would throw a hissy fit.” Zane was careful to sneer the name, having more then once heard Kalib address Mariella by the pet name he’d given her. Kalib, unfazed, merely answered “You’re a worry wart.” Zane let out a sigh of relief, “Thanks man! I’ll take that!” Clearly he was happy to not have to worry about Kalib slipping in and taking his girl away.
Zane kept up a long string of chatting, but Kalib was used to it and continued to fake his interest as they walked down the hallways. He wasn’t all together where he was trying to go. The Common Room had failed him, the Library had failed him; in short, he was running out of options. Finally, he interrupted some story Zane was going on about including him and a Muggle: “Where were you headed before you ran into me?” Zane looked displeased but the sudden random question having nothing to do with the Muggle. “I was gunna go out to the lake, why?” Kalib thought about that one for a second, “Mmm, perfect. Proceed.” While Kalib redirected himself down the correct path of corridors, Zane launched back into his tale as though there had never been an interruption.
The fresh air felt good on Kalib’s face as they finally made it out of the castle, his course immediately headed for the lake. It was a easily a place favored by students, but he saw with great relief most seemed to be doing what he’d come to do: homework. If he could manage to shake Zane, he might actually finish. A few dots moving about the lakes edging indicated some were taking a nice stroll, other dots clustered under trees with noses shoved up their noses. Now, about Zane… He had apparently run out of steam, just walking beside Kalib now. “Did you need something?” Kalib finally asked, almost annoyed. Zane looked up, and for some unexplained reason, embarrassed. “Well…” Kalib was becoming impatient, “What?” It came out of Zane in a rush: “Well, this Katie girl is really pretty and really nice and I don’t want to screw it up with her so I was just wondering if you could help me, uh, plan out our date a little bit, so I’ll know what to do. You know I always make a fool of myself, please Kalib!” Kalib had stopped walking, not expecting such a fluid answer. “Um…” He could not deal with that right now. “How about we talk later? I really need to finish this stupid essay… But later, I promise.” Relief washed over Zane’s expression, but it was clouded by annoyance; homework always offset him. “Alright, see ya.” Zane disappeared, taking a different path at the fork, and Kalib made his way to the lake; perhaps, finally, he’d be able to get this stupid thing done.

Bethany had decided to spy on Kalib after all. She found a tree relatively near where he was sitting, and crouched down behind it, hoping that she couldn't be seen. Hmm.. he didn't seem to be doing anything but writing something. She squinted and leaned forward as far as she could without being noticable, to see what he was writing. It appeared to be the same essay he had been writing in the library.
She let out a long sigh, clearly from mere boredom. She then immediately realized how loud her sigh actually was. Her hand went flying over her mouth. How could she have been so stupid? Unless kalib was deaf, he would have certainly heard her. Or maybe she hadn't actually been so loud.. Maybe she was just extra cautious in times like this.. (sorry, excuse me rambling.) She did a quick double check around to make sure nobody was watching her, as she moved to an even closer tree.
She leaned her head around the tree. Kalib was still doing his homework, and nothing more. A gust of wind came by and shook some leaves on her head. Oh no.. Oh nononononono! She thought. She had to sneeze. It sounded like a stupid worry. She couldn't keep herself from sneezeing, and she couldn't move back to her farther away tree, because a couple of people now sat there, seeking shade. She couldn't hold it in any longer "AHHH-CHOO!" She crossed her fingers and hopped that she wasn't close enough for him to hear her. Even so, she turned so she was on the other side of the tree, that wasn't visible from Kalib's location.
*O.O.C: I don't think it would work all too well if Kalib saw her.. What if Amos, or Drake saw her instead?*

OOC: Yeah, I'll keep Kalib oblivious of course. ^^ He can be a bit dense sometimes. Anyways, as for Amos and Drake either of them could see her I suppose. Doesn't matter to me - Kalib's just on a mission to track Amos down. lol.
