Regulus headed out onto the pitch accompanied by his sleek Nimbus 1700. It was the best on the market, at least as far as he knew though no doubt there would be new ones soon. Top of the line equipment was just one of the many perks of having a family with money. Of course Reg didn't need a fancy broom to be good at quidditch. It was simply just time for a new broom.
Regulus had been on the Slytherin team since his second year, a rather impressive feat if he said so himself. From that first season of second year up until last season he had been flying a Nimbus 100, but as a reward for his captainship this year his Grandfather bought him the shiny new broom Reg now carried over his shoulder. Arriving at the pitch Regulus headed over to the storage area and pulled out a chest that contained all the balls necessary for this unofficial practice.
It wasn't really so much practice as it was just a get together to make sure that everyone remembered how to play. Regulus had gone around telling as many of his teammates as he could find and had posted it in the Slytherin commonroom for anyone interested. After all the team was not quite full. Actually as far as he knew they only needed a third Chaser which was quite good really. Regulus left the Chest unopened in the middle of the pitch. Looking around and finding he was still alone he mounted the broom and shot off. The speed was incredible and the handling amazing, though it would be a lie to say he didn't miss his old broom just slightly. Doing a few spins and turns as he made his way back down he dismounted wanting to wait to show off his broom.

A soft hum followed Mariella as she walked through the school, the shake of her hips and slight pep in her step showing that she was delighted at something. Since there was a Nimbus 1001 over her shoulder, it was almost obvious that he joy had to be Quidditch related. That it was, Mariella was making her way to the Quidditch practice that Regulus had scheduled. She was glad that she was able to get at with the whole, or at least most of them, team and be able to see what they had learned or what new brooms they might have gotten. Not to mention, practice was always fun. After all the serious stuff died down, it was always fun to mess around with one another and just start doing childish things. Yeah, maybe it didn't make them look mature, but it was fun among friends. A grin came onto her lips as she finally was outside, shielding her eyes from the sun.
Slowly, her hand dropped to her side, looking out farther and seeing the walk required to get to field. Hm, she knew it wasn't a long one, but nonetheless, she might as well. Mariella mounted her broom, slowly ascending into the air, a soft giggle rising from her throat. Flying was such an enjoyable experience, that just seemed to lift your spirits as you are lifted from the ground. Mariella's eyes glittered as she saw the Quidditch Pitch drew closer and closer, the familiar area just making her spirit roar. This was the arena she had battled for pride alongside her team mates since her fourth year, two years of them upon this very broom. Slytherin pride hissed, making her think of the many games that had been played here, the losses, the ups and the down. Nostalgia was sweet, but really this was not the time for it, this was a time to enjoy herself and thing of the present!
She finally pulled into the Stadium, slowly beginning to descend towards the middle of the field, towards the captain and the chest of supplies. Slowing to a stop, she hovered a good foot of the ground still, sitting sidesaddle on her broom. This was something that she had taught herself to do after some trial and error. She remembered the first times she tried, she fell back and hit her head. It took a good twenty more tries till she got it down. Lifting her hand she waved. "Hey Cap, am I the first one here or they all hiding?" Of course she was joking but it was a little hard to believe that most of the team hadn't dragged themselves here yet.

Bellatrix yawned as she stepped out onto the quidditch pitch, for some reason the fall heat was making her especially tired today. That and the fact that her riddiculously giggly room mates wouldn't shut up all night. She had to hex each and every one of them to make them go to sleep. Hey, she had given them fair warning, they should have known what to expect. Trix rolled her eyes just thinking about it, as she carried her broom in one hand, her black hand guard gripped firmly over it. The day was warm, a perfect day for practice. Even so, she was wearing a long-sleeved shirt that reached down to the start of her hand, something that one would find very warm for the weather.
Which she did, but she really couldn't help it. If anyone asked, it was to more secure herself and give protection as the keeper. Her black hair waved wildly around her face as she sheilded her eyes to look up at the two, already starting up. Their was her cousin, the captain of their team. Trix hadn't even bothered to try out for it, she didn't want to be captain and be blamed when they lost. However, he always had to remember, that Trix didn't do anything she didn't want to. Not like it mattered, he was soft.
Bellatrix climbed aboard her broom and waited, just simply hovering in the air. She sighed and twirled her thick hair around her index finger. "What would we be hiding from?" She asked casually, though it was rhetorical, it wasn't something meant to be answered. She looked up again, towards the source of light. "Besides the bloody sun." She was already hot, and her attitude showed it. "Do you know who our first match is against?" She asked the pair of them, looking between the two. She hoped it was Gryffindor, she wasn't at all pleased with them at the current moment. Then again, she never was.

A soft curse left Celeste's lips as she hastily pulled on her gloves and made her way through the castle halls, glancing at her watch. She had just seen the announcement for Quidditch practice and was positive that she was running late. Her feet padded down the hall as she increased her pace to a run, eager to begin the new season and catch up with the rest of the team. She had waited all year for practice to start again. Quidditch was the one thing she always looked forward too, always having loved getting together with the rest of the team and planning on winning for the year. Since this was her last year on the team, she planned to make the most of it.
Sprinting outside of the castle, Celeste slowed to a jog, throwing her leg over her broom, her trusty Moontrimmer. Though the broom wasn't incredibly fast, it did the job when it came to hurling around a Bludger. Celeste had become attached to her broom after her first match, unwilling to trade it for any other broom that her parents offered to buy her. Even compared to the rest of her teammates, her broom was nothing, but it did the job. Kicking off the ground, she soared quickly to the pitch, biting her lip as it came into view. She was sure she was tardy, nervousness creeping under her skin at the thought of the looks she would receive from the rest of the team. Gliding into the stadium, she was surprised to see only three of the members present.
"Have I missed the entire practice?" she asked, voice dripping with sarcasm. Her gaze moved from the Captain to Mariella and Bellatrix, brow arching in confusion. She had hurried to come to practice and there was no one here? Unbelievable. Hopping off her broom and leaning it on her shoulder, she ran a hand through her tresses with a soft sigh, furious at herself for rushing. She hadn't missed a thing, excluding a few possible words of greeting.

Regulus smiled at Mariella's approach, glad to no longer be alone on the pitch. He was about to answer her question when Bellatrix arrived and did so for him. Reg thought about asking his cousin about the clothing she was wearing, but she seemed in a foul mood...though that was common with her. In any case Reg thought better than to question her clothing choice.
"I'm not sure," he said in response to the question about who they would play first. "No one has a full team yet...Gryffindors next closest behind us. I wanted them to come out for a scrimmage, but when I mentioned the idea to Sirius he told me they hadn't found a decent keeper yet, so it seemed a waste," Regulus continued. He realized that he probably shouldn't have mentioned talking to his brother, but hopefully his motive would justify the act.
"You haven't missed anything," Regulus answered Celeste ignoring her sarcasm. It occurred rather suddenly to Regulus that he was the teams youngest member so far on the team and he was also the teams captain, he wondered if the others resented that, if they would listen. He knew from experience there was no forcing Bellatrix into anything, but as long as his requests were reasonable she would most likely listen. It was likely this would be the case with the others as well.
"Well, we're only down three, Lucius will be on his own practicing catching the snitch when he gets here and we don't have a third chaser yet, which leaves...Rabastian, and I never tracked him down, so he may not even know we're here," Regulus said running through his missing players. "We'll wait a few more minutes anyway, then we'll do some warm-ups and then we'll do some drills," Reg said explaining his plan for the practice. Warm-up would just be a few laps around the pitch to make sure everyone was comfortable on their brooms. For drills he had a few ideas, but since the practice was unofficial he would leave most decisions to the team.
