"Ready, set, go..."
Yawn. As she opened her eyes to the new day, Marie took a nice big yawn. She Pushed herself up in her four poster bed and looked around the room. The winter sun was just up, showing that it would be a relatively nice winter day, and the morning light was all that allowed her to see around her dorm. All the other girls were still asleep, and rightly so. It was only about half past six. But Maire knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep again, she was wide awake. So, instead she pulled back the warm covers, with some reluctance to leave the warmth, and slipped out of bed, her feet aiming for the warm and fuzzy slippers on the ground. She didn't want to hang around the dorm until a later time, so instead she quietly changed into her dark jeans and a boring T-shirt, trying not to make to much noise so she didn't wake up her room mates, with her favorite long sleeved black jumper over the top. Although, she chose to keep her green and silver fluffy slippers on, mainly because she loved the security they made her feel. After brushing her hair (and casting the odd charm to make it look a bit less frizzy and dull) Marie ventured down into the Slytherin common room. Just as she had expected, it was empty. Passing through out of the dungeons and up the stairs she made her way to the Great Hall for an early, and long, breakfast.
Her slippers flip flopped along the stone corridors as she crossed her arms across her torso to keep warm. They were the only sound to be heard, save from the occasional ghost wandering the halls. Nearly-Headless Nick gave her a look of surprise, but said nothing to her as he floated by. She had pulled her sleeves down to her knuckles, and her neck line as far up as it would go, but she was still a bit chilly. But the walk through the cold corridors was over quickly, and as she walked through the doors on the Great Hall she stared in awe at the food, neatly prepared on the tables. She would never cease to be amazed that, what ever time - how ever early - same came to get breakfast, there was always food. Sliding onto the Slytherin table Marie looked around the room. She seemed to be the only one there, which wasn't very surprising. Looking at the food around her she smiled and started to pick up the various bits that looked particularly appetizing. Cold hard boiled eggs, toast and butter, some cereal and bits and pieces of fruit. Lovely.
She slowly tucked in to her food, keeping her head down and her manners minimal. It was early and, although she had been wide awake only 30 minutes ago, she was feeling a bit drowsy at the moment. So she pulled her legs up and sat cross legged on the long wooded bench, balancing her weight relatively easily on the thick wood. She leaned over the table, elbows resting on it, occasionally pushing back her hair to stop it falling in her breakfast. Just another Saturday morning.
