Name: Peter Pettigrew
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Year: 7th
Face Claim: Jamie Bell with sugar on top. He's a bloody bastard. Roguish enough for Wormtail if I do say so myself.

Canon or Original? Canon

Facial Properties: What can you do when life has stacked the odds against you. Or in this case, smacked you across the face with it. Some have said Peter has a rat like face, with beady eyes and a pointed nose. To his credit, he somehow manages to pull it all together under a tangled mess of tawny brown hair that gives him a roguish, almost bad boy appearance.

Physique: Like everything else, Peter puts very little real effort into his body. Maybe if he wasn't absolutely terrible at quidditch, he'd of toned up by now. Instead he's never put on more then one hundred and twenty some odd pounds, and has a pasty, almost sickly pale complexion. So what if he isn't all that stunningly attractive? All girls care about is your personality, right...right?

Personality:

sarcastic
Peter's not one of those guys that's going to be completely manipulative to get what he wants. Manipulation is his last resort. He will simply tell you exactly what is on his mind in the most sarcastic way possible. His friends, the few he has, are used to the typical 'peter' answers, but to those on the outside, he can come off quite rude. of course, Peter is fully aware of this, and doesn't intend on changing anything. Everything to him is a witty comeback, a clever reply, a funny comment, or a hidden meaning. Really, unless you know exactly what he really means, Peter is a sight to see in verbal action.

inept
There's not a whole lot that Peter does right. He doesn't seem to be too sharp in the educational aspect or the life knowledge section. From a young age he never managed to succeed at much of anything, and his parents always tore him down instead of built him up. To be fair, if you want a bludger magnet, a punching bag, and a boyfriend who will always cheat on you, well he's your man

dependent
in case you didn't catch on, Peter needs his friends more then they need him. It's almost sickening the way he hero worships James and Sirius, even Remus to a lesser extent. Where a lot of people find it just plain creepy, he hopes to fit in by association. Many times he has said he'd do just about anything for them to really appreciate his presence. Merlin knows, he'd never betray them

protective
Especially toward his friends, Peter is extremely protective. He defends them with every ounce of pride he has whether they are wrong or not. Mind you, that isn't a lot of pride, but he works with what he has. When it comes to the girlfriends and marriage prospects of James, Sirius, and Remus. Seriously, he's the best friend from hell, relationships are doomed around him

quiet
This is a new one he developed only recently. After being attacked by a group of Slytherins while he was alone last year, he has since developed being quiet. Most don't believe he can be with his blatant sarcasm, but he has his bad days. On those days, he tends to crawl up into the shell he has built up. Either he puts on a mask that nothing is wrong or just doesn't talk to anyone. He can go for days like that, not saying one word. No one knows why he is like this.

History:

It was a rather early morning on December 25th when Peter Pettigrew was brought into the world, even though he was not supposed to bejust yet. Due to some health crisis, his mother went to premature labor a whole one and a half months before his original due date and was rushed to St. Mungo's. Fortunately, he made it into the world safely. It was not until about a week later until he could finally be brought home, after being worked on by healers to help him along as much as they could. Being born premature, he was skinny and would be for the rest of his life.

Growing up, Peter had a decent enough life. His father and mother made a decent living working in some lesser positions at the Ministry, and they would of been more well off save for his father's drinking problem. Every day he dreamed of the day he'd get his letter and get to go do something exciting. So when the day came, of course he was enthusiastic

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Peter found it far beyond the expectations he had had about the school. Sure, he heard stories, but they were nothing in comparison. Those were what created the standards in his head; yet, when he arrived at the school, he as were blown away. Nothing could comprehend just how amazing he thought the school was, and not only for letting him escape a ho hum life..

In his first year, Peter was sorted into Gryffindor, and it gave him great pride to be in it. All the stories of great people coming from this house made him want to hold up to those standards. He also became well known to the teachers of detention for his mischief making. It was around this time he began his hero worship of the boys he always saw there with him. Sure they always made jokes at his expense and put him in danger, but they were big shots, and he was more then content to just be in on the action.

And so the next six years went on, with him experiencing many more detentions, exploring the Forbidden Forest for the first time and many more adventures, and as usual, being tormented from time to time by his friends.

Usually, Narcissa insisted on making her presence known the instant she stepped in the door of her cozy home. Her heels would echo through the entire manor, alerting her husband and children that she was home. Usually, Araminta greeted her with a giant hug, Blayne with a few kind words, Sephora with a roll of her eyes and a slam of her bedroom door, and Lucius with a short but sweet kiss. Today was different; almost the polar opposite. She softly pushed the door open, hoping the creak wouldn't be loud and the click of it closing could be masked by shutting it gently. The look on Narcissa's face wasn't warm, kind, or even angry. She wasn't stressed, nervous, or even mad. She was simply afraid, and that much was obvious with a glance at her unusually pale face.

She had been feeling ill for a little more than a week. Occasional vomiting, hot and cold sweats, sniffles, and even dizziness came and went like flu symptoms, and deciding not to worry Lucius, she had taken it upon herself to stop by the Mungo's on her way home. After muttering her symptoms and the fact she wished to not be paired with Lucy Walker, Narcissa sat in a grand chair just outside the main entrance to the hidden rooms. The woman behind the counter must have been terribly afraid about making the Minister wait too long because she kept muttering apologies and running back to check up on the patients that were being seen already. After about six minutes, a nice healer by the name of Suziana came to escort her personally to the nicest room on the floor.

And now she was there, walking into her kitchen on her tiptoes. Narcissa's hands shook slightly with nerves as she entered the extremely large room, thankful the lights hadn't gone out. The silence of the house felt odd, especially since Lucius should have been home already. Most likely he was trapped up in that office of his and the children were out and about with friends. Blayne would be out wandering the streets and scoping out the lovely women in their summer attire, Sephora was surely running around with Ari coming up with plans to blow up the world, and Araminta would be shopping. The latter was the only one Narcissa could count on one hundred percent.

Perhaps she would have laughed at her own little joke if she was in the mood; if she didn't feel as though she had to announce a death rather than a pregnancy. Rising to her full lack of height, Narcissa grabbed a glass from the highest cupboard, not even bothering with her wand which lay conveniently on the counter next to her other hand. Her mind raced with thoughts and worries, all of them dreading the moment Lucius would enter the room and she'd be forced to give in.

Never would Narcissa dream of willingly giving up the child that grew inside her; if it held a part of her and Lucius, it would stay. She slowly moved the glass under the faucet and tilted the knob up, a large and dry gulp barely fitting down her throat. How would he react? The child certainly wasn't planned, they had decided to stop after three. Besides, she was too old to give birth again. She was surely past her prime. Wasn't another child pushing it? Honestly, Narcissa was scared to death of birth. She had sworn Araminta was her last, and even getting through that one had worn on her petite body.

As she lowered the glass from her lips, it slipped straight through her hand and shattered against the hardwood floor of the kitchen, causing her to throw a hand over her open mouth.

So much for buying herself a little time.

Okay! So, the history is alright as far as lining up with canon stuff, but I’d really like to see a bigger development with the character. If you could maybe lengthen your paragraphs, or add more. Don’t be scared to go big. ^^;;
