ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Drew Marino Age: 17 Gender: Male Year: 7th Celebrity: Milo Ventimiglia
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties:{1+ paragraphs} Drew has a very oval rectangular face and a prominent jaw line. His unruly hair can sometimes get in the way but that’s the way he likes it: dirty brown and out of control. Drew’s got dark chocolate brown eyes and a flat, round nose that centers his face. The guy hates his ears, to him they always stick out, which they do in a way. He has good looks, and his face ends with his narrow chin. His eyes are oval as well and it seems to be his best trait. A common expression you’ll see on his face if you know him is a smirk.
Physique:{1+ paragraphs} Drew is taller than the average person at six feet, exactly. He’s built but more slender than most guys are. Drew has a natural bronze that comes from his Italian heritage, as well as his last name. Usually his has scruff from a few days of not shaving. His neck is naturally long as well as the rest of his body. There’s a tattoo placed on the inside of his left wrist that he’s had since his fifth year. He has strong features that set him out from the rest of the crowd. His unique looks are what makes him, him.
Personality:{4+ paragraphs} He’s a pretty easy going type, not much can rile him up. Drew lives life the way it’s dealt to him and doesn’t whine about it. Everything happens for a reason, and even if it doesn’t, who cares. Sometimes Drew butts heads with people who don’t see with him eye to eye, but he gets over it pretty quickly. The really only time he’s not easy going is when he’s around people in authority. No one really knows why but he doesn’t take kindly to people who boss him around, even teachers. He isn’t one to care what others think about him and makes that clear starting off.
To a certain extent Drew is blunt and doesn’t cover up his faults. He’s not a busy body, if someone wants to keep a secret from him that’s their problem. Of course it doesn’t mean he ever has to trust them, he doesn’t trust unless given a reason to. Drew’s sense of humor is often sarcastic and witty, but occasionally you’ll see it differently. He’s got a way of avoiding subjects he doesn’t want to talk about, and getting him to open up to something is nearly impossible. Once he sets his mind to something that’s that. Not much of a goal keeper he figures he’ll keep the standards low so no one is disappointed. Depending on the social group he’s around, he makes friends pretty easily. He likes to keep things humorous and not serious. That can be a fault, because even in the most serious of situations, he doesn’t want to face them.
He’s actually a smart kid, but fails miserably in most of his classes. He doesn’t put the effort into his homework, like he should. Drew spends a lot of his time reading, from magical books to historical fiction. You can pretty much catch him reading everything save for romance books. Drew thinks those are a waste of time. He’ll be nice to you if he wants, if he doesn’t then he won’t. Most everyone he puts up with save a select few. He’s not quite an honest guy and takes the easy route-he lies. Drew doesn’t know why he does it, but it happens quite a bit. In return for that he’s loyal to his friends, and makes strong commitments.
One of the most stubborn characters you’ll ever meet it’s hard to change his mind. He usually doesn’t take back anything he says, he figures if he said it then he meant it, and it’s too late. He’s quieter than a lot of people at Hogwarts, and doesn’t talk unless he’s in the mood or it is needed. A flirt by trade, that’s when you’ll really see him talking. Drew probably has an opinion about everything and he will usually share it whether you really wanted him to or not. Somewhat of a perfectionist everything he does has to be right, especially his art. Drew’s an artist, but good luck getting him to share any of his work with you. There’s something about him that’s sneaky and if you’re in a fix he can probably get you out of it.

History:{4+ paragraphs} Drew is a muggle born, plain and simple. He learned about his powers at a very young age, around four. Since then he’d seen what he could do with it, and developed them further. Growing up without a father for a boy was tough, especially when you were less than normal. Being raised by your mother wasn’t the manliest thing so he turned his thoughts to cars and things like that. There was one thing he had a passion for though, and that was art. He usually sketches with pencil, but a few things he’s done is in paint. He made a mistake in elementary school and got labeled as a freak, using magic and pulling it off so well as a child is something that wasn’t appreciated. He was also labeled as the magician and people kept far away from him.
He really didn’t mind, the silence was normal for him. He’d almost rather be at school than be at home; his muggle mom was and still is an alcoholic. He threw himself into whatever he could to avoid her and her numerous boyfriends, some actually tried befriending him. His response? Drew usually chose the option of raising his eyebrows and planting garner snakes in their bed. If that didn’t work he used his magic and spooked the losers. By and by that’s how he spent his time, and for the most part it suited him. It’s no surprise that Drew has animosity towards muggles, all he ever saw from them was the bad. He got picked on in school around age nine, but learned to hold his own. Finally a year shy of Hogwarts, Drew read up about witches and wizards. He learned about what he could and one day his letter finally came. His mother didn’t want him to go; she cried and whined, and put up a big scene. Drew didn’t care much and went his way, leaving her to handle herself. She was never much of a mother after all. Now he sends money home to her, so she can support her drinking additions as well as keep a roof over her head.
From what he knew she was planning on getting married, and in his eyes it didn’t make much of a difference. He has no idea who is father is and he’s always thought of that as for the best. Drew’s developed his magic skills into something all in its own. He’s quite talented but usually doesn’t put it to good use. People don’t really see him as the smart type, they’ve got no idea. More of a rebel than anything, he spends more time in detention than in class. Mellow and usually so calm it drives people crazy, everyone has a different view about him. He doesn’t stick to the typical house friends, he’s made friends with who he wanted, his house or not.
Occasionally he’ll go back and visit his mother, but only during the summer holiday. Christmas holiday and any other he will keep to the school. Hogwarts is his home and frankly he doesn’t know where to go afterward. Drew isn’t sure on all the opportunities that wizards have, but maybe he’ll go the ministry way. Maybe not....too many rules. Whatever it is he’s determined to stay away from muggles. They caused enough hell in his life to last a lifetime. Drew has managed to slip by every year in school and now he’s at his last. He’s done a lot of things he shouldn’t have, a done a lot of things he should, and now that he’s nearing the end.....oh yeah, he doesn’t really care.
ABOUT YOU Name: Kelsey Years of Experience: four Sample Post: {4+ paragraphs}
Drew thumbed the bottom of his black leather jacket as the snow fell around him. Winter was probably his favorite season, and if you asked him why, he couldn’t tell you. Something about it just made it less of a bother than all the others. He sat on a bench outside of the large school, not really knowing what he was doing there. True, Drew was supposed to be in class. And yes, Drew usually liked class, minus the homework bit. He got kicked out though, sent to the deputy head again. That was Drew, he had an opinion on everything. If you didn’t like it that was too bad because he’d share it anyway. Apparently the teacher thought otherwise and removed him from the classroom. He was supposed to be in the deputy’s office right about now....Drew yawned and kicked back on the bench, closing his eyes as the snow fell around his face.
He had all the time in the world, she wasn’t going anywhere. If she was, it wasn’t his problem. Next year was going to be his last, but he hadn’t given any thought to it. Why worry about things that were a million minutes away? Instead, one of the only things he ever worried about was Graduating Hogwarts and his mother. He wished she’d just be put in rehab and be done with it. Drew had forcefully done it himself once but after only a month they’d released her. Stupid Muggles. As it was, she wasn’t his problem, now the only thing he needed to do was forget about it. The bell tower chimed and he glanced up, lunch time. In a flurry much like the snowflakes that were falling down, the students bustled out of the building. The first and second years ran around in circles like they’d never seen snow. The middle aged ones tried to act cool by walking calm and collected out the front doors, and the oldest cursed as they got drenched in the sudden downpour. Oh, his jacket was probably ruined at this point. Meh.
A shadow came over his face after he’d just closed his eyes and he smiled. “You hit me with that snowball and I’ll whitewash you.” A group of little girls giggled in the background and whoever it was decided it wasn’t the best idea and walked away. He pulled out a granola bar from his pocket, eyes still closed, and bit into it. He wasn’t a big eater when it came to health food but it was food. Drew was wasting away the minutes before he’d finally go inside. At this point the professor was finishing off her yogurt and dabbing off her red lipstick. She was now walking down the stairs carefully, as she often fell flat on her face otherwise. She’d stop and talk with one of the older male professors that she had an unhealthy crush on, and then she’d start for the deputy’s office. Drew smiled.
Brushing off the last of the fallen leaves from his coat he stood up and slowly made his way to the front doors that led to the entrance hall, hands in his pockets. He’d get there in time before she would, and with plenty to spare. Her detention methods were always very...different to say the least. Maybe next year he’d behave...oh what was he kidding. Drew didn’t even do it on purpose, it just happened, not like he cared. He smirked as he walked down the long hallway now that led to the statue. This should be interesting. Other: blackboard

Please proof-read.
Remember that "Know one" should be "no-one" and that speech marks ("*") come before the full stop. All proper nouns should have a capital letter.
Also, I don't find it plausible that Drew would be an animagus (incidentally that's how you spell it) by this stage in his life. It took the Marauders a long time and a lot of help from eachother to achieve it, and they are the only ones in school to ever have managed it. Plus, they were helping a friend (namely Lupin) out in doing so. You didn't give a reason why Drew chose to become an animagus, and gave the impression he just did it on a whim.
Have another read through and then re-submit.

Much better ^^
Accepted.
Drew has been sorted into Hufflepuff. He's easy-going, friendly and a bit of a flirt. Plus, he'll be happy as the only male in his house so far. I'm just saying all this because you probably expected him to be sorted into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw with what he's had to go through at home - well, I'm thinking he's really a badger at heart - even if he has been hardened by life back in the Muggle World.
