Character of the Moment: I’ve been RPing with this certain someone ever since they joined and looking back on it there’s certainly no mystery in why that is: they are just fabulous, both with interaction on a character-to-character bases and out of character, they are equally amazing! Now for those of you who haven’t figured out who I’m talking about from the pictures alone (ha ha ha), this month’s male COTM of none other then Remus Lupin, as played by Abbie!
Activity: Like, every day, no joke. Abbie never fails in keeping up with her many RPs for all characters and at that, each post is always minimum length requirements and frequently over! Everyone’s life can get very, very hectic so I commend Abbie for being able to get at least a reply in a day. Her loyalty to ISS is admirable and if she’s ever gone, she always makes sure to drop a line.
Character: Is there anything to be said here, really? Early on Abbie was welcome simply because she was willing to take up a main canon and a Marauder, too! Then she was praised for actually sticking with Remus and not falling inactive with someone so necessary to the site. Furthermore, upon joining as a site we’ve been able to watch her grow to understand Remus better and play him spot-on to what I’m sure most of us have imagined the young, teenaged Remus to be. More then once she has been acknowledged for her hilarity in RPing him but keeping that serious edge we all know him to have. As a whole, Remus Lupin is definitely the whole package with Abbie as the puppeteer.
Threads: One word: OHMYGOD. (Yup, it’s a run-on sentence. lol.) I love, love, love role playing with Abbie because she is just so darn good at it, Remus especially. Her posts are lengthy, as I’ve mentioned, and they are full of material that makes it easy for you to know where to start your own reply and where exactly to end. And that’s just the regular threads! Have you seen this girl’s note threads? You have? Good! But have you read them? Amazing! I think the only word fit to describe it is zesty! They’re serious, but funny, and have this kind of edge to them. It’s difficult to describe, but if you’ll read through them you’ll see what I mean. Speaking firsthand as a recipient to Abbie’s brilliance, if you haven’t already you should RP with her. (And I apologize to Abbie right now if you’re bombarded with a bunch of threads ‘cause I’ve told people you’re amazing; no hiding it now!!! ^^) We’ve had a lot of plotting going on, yes, because our characters fit nicely together, but they wouldn’t be that way without Abbie’s wonderful skills.
Character Log: Beautiful! Big fan of the lots and lots of relationships because I just like being specific like that. xD Not to mention all the colors blend nicely together and had some spunk. And my, see that big picture of on the top? Yum. But then again, that might just be because I’m a Jake fan. ;] In all seriousness though, Remus’ character log is wonderful and crisp and clean. Straight to the point, not over done, but not underdone either. There are graphics, but not too many; the format is cool, but not so crazy that you can’t follow it. A lovely piece of work, I must say. Good job!
Journal: n/a [Le gasp! No journal?! Abbie, you should make one. *Pokes*]
Photo-album: Alright, so who doesn’t want to sit around and look at pictures of Remus? (For you males out there, your vote doesn’t count. ;p) While at the current the album is short you can tell a lot of work as gone into it. I myself can’t do graphics worth diddly squat. Abbie, on the other hand, has quite the knack for them and I am extremely jealous. I like the tape strips, too. Those seem to be popular amongst the album entries. I think it gives some more realism to it. With Remus, that doesn’t seem to be a hard task for dear Abbie. He comes to life even more so in the album because it’s done so greatly! Gold star for Abbie! *Holds out gold star*
With all of this in mind, there’s no wonder why Remus was a best choice for July’s COTM. His character is simply amazing and anyone with eyes (and that can read, I suppose [lol]) can tell that. I’m very pleased we are able to honor Abbie with this award because she had rightly earned it, so hold your head up high! Remus has been a fantastic addition to the site and he just keeps on growing into something more each day. So, kudos Abbie – and congrats! =D
