ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Name: Daniel Abberline

Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts
Celebrity: David Tennant
Facial Properties: Daniel has well defined cheekbones with expressive brown eyes and a mess of golden brown hair that falls messily over a average forehead. His chin balances his nose and fore head. Nose and jaw line have a chiseled look about them giving his appearance a slightly impish look.
Physique: Daniel is tall and kind of lanky, but don¡¯t think he isn¡¯t strong. He¡¯s not really muscular though, and if you do want to consider him so he¡¯s more of the wiry build.
Personality: ¢¼ Daniel Abberline is kind of¡¦ Well he¡¯s a geek, but he¡¯s a happy geek. Daniel kind of has the mind of a teen still, so has no problem relating to his students. Hi main goal for the school year is to actually get students interested in the class and get them to pay attention, the best thing ever would be for one of them to leave and actually have learned something.
¢¼Several people have compared Daniel to some kind of bumblebee, or a hyper chipmunk¡¦ He¡¯s always kind of bopping around, humming some kind of swing or big band tune, and grinning like a fool. His mind always seems to be a bit preoccupied, planning out classes he thinks might be interesting for students or thinking of random little facts. In fact Daniel might be just a bit ADD.
¢¼At the same time Daniel is kind of a klutz, for some reason Samara finds this an ¡®absolutely adorable quality¡¯. He¡¯s often knocking over stacks of paper or falling or even breaking things. Some how, even though he has this extreme klutzy-ness he¡¯s still a skilled duelist.
¢¼Past all of this Daniel does have a serious side. This side is often hidden away, only showing when his loved ones are threatened or the situation being extremely grave. When it comes to this side he is some what cold and very blunt. The person who can get Daniel out of being that serious is Samara.

History: ¢¼ Daniel¡¯s mother was a squib named Lisbeth Twerlynn. Lisbeth married an Auror named Gregory Abberline. Lisbeth and Gregory married a year after meeting at the Ministry, she had gone there to protest about Squib rights in the magic community and somehow ended up getting passed onto Gregory by one of his work mates. They had four children, the third being Daniel. His older siblings are a pair of twins. One is a squib, his name is Marcus, and the other is now a traveling Wizard, named Micheal. Daniel¡¯s younger sibling is an adorable little girl named Sarah, she recently turned 5 years old.
¢¼Daniel grew up in a family with a steady financial income. Sure they weren¡¯t the richest family in the area, but they never went hungry. He had several friends, varying from purebloods to Muggleborns, and was always happy while growing up.
¢¼When his Hogwarts letter arrived Daniel was thrilled, he¡¯d always wanted to be a wizard while he was young. Daniel was pretty average, except that he excelled in both Defense Against the Dark Arts and Ancient Runes for some reason. He continued to have a nice amount of friends and was the beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
¢¼In his second year Daniel met Samara Hollows, and absolutely fell in love. It took a whole year, but finally he talked a friend they both knew into introducing him. They hit it off instantly and dated for the rest of their school years. Just after graduation though, a time that should have been the best of his life, Samara dumped Daniel saying that they were planning on taking different routes in life and would probably end up splitting soon anyways.
¢¼After a year Daniel was injured on a mission for the ministry, but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise when he was reunited with Samara. They started to date again and after a few years he proposed.
¢¼Recently Daniel quit his job as an Auror and he and Samara took jobs in the staff at Hogwarts.
Resume: Daniel received several OWLs in Ancient Runes and then continued on to receiving an O on his OWLs for the subject as well. As he continued on to have a career as an Auror he was occasionally made to use his skills in runes to figure out a case.

Sample Post: ¢¼Professor Daniel Abberline was humming as he moved around his office, doing his best to avoid grading the tests on his desk top. He hummed a swing tune as gathered some notes on the next class he was going to teach. He was kind of torn between two topics¡¦
¢¼Daniel wanted to start on Dark Creatures, like Werewolves and Vampires, but at the same time he wanted to teach a class on dueling. Both had their perks, and their downfalls. Headmaster Dumbledore had informed him about a student who was a Werewolf. Not that he hadn¡¯t figured it out on his own, it was his topic of course, and he didn¡¯t want it to be revealed before the student was ready. But at the same time it was a required topic on the O.W.L.s and the N.E.W.T.s.
¢¼He also wanted to start on really getting into dueling, getting into some nice high level spells, but at the same time he realized once he started teaching that there¡¯d probably be spells flying all over the halls. Especially between to Slytherins and the Gryffindors¡¦
¢¼Daniel sighed as the tests on top of his desk caught his eye again.
¢¼ ¡° I really should get to working on those¡¦¡± he grumbled and sat down at his desk, retrieving a quill from inside his desk drawer. He retrieved an ink pot as well and started to go through the tests, marking answers as he did.

A few pointers that need to be changed before you can be accepted:-
- Please change your display name. It must be the actual name of your character, not just your username.
- The Order of the Pheonix would not exist at this time. It was not formed until the current 7th Years were in their late 20s. Thus, Daniel could not have been a part of it - please edit your resume.
- Please try and add a little more detail to the 'Physique' field. You haven't really described Daniel's body, you just left it with his ability to fight.
One paragraph doesn't just mean a couple of sentences.

The post of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor has since been taken. I apologize but must point out that teaching posts are on a strictly 'first-come first-served' basis, in the sense that the first application to be accepted will receive their desired position. So, if you still wish to create a teacher, you must change your character's class.
Also, your edited resume now doesn't seem to make any sense.
How can Daniel receive several OWLs in one subject? And you then add that he received an 'O' in the subject as well. None of this makes sense - you either have not expressed yourself clearly or have your facts muddled up.
Plus, your resume is too short. If you have mentioned Daniel's OWL grades - why not mention his NEWTs? Did he pass his Auror tests with flying colours - or did he just scrape a grade? Did he receive any honours at school? Has he received any other life experience?
You have not included nearly enough detail, and so far, the prospects of this application being accepted are very bleak. You have this chance and one more to rectify any mistakes until this app is moved to the Rejected Pile.

Yes, I'd like to please remove this character from the pending list.
I realize that I am now going to have to modify the profile of Madam Samara Hollows, another charactr of mine, but I give up on this character.
But do expect another application from me soon, for a student character.
