Today was always an interesting day in Charity’s classroom. She herself could remember the same lesson taught by her Muggle Studies instructor, Professor Wigglenut, fifteen years before. Even back then she was fascinated by how muggles lived. Her father was a muggle, but she lived with her mother, a witch. Their differences were detrimental to their relationship, but Charity knew it didn’t have to be that way. Although her passion was international relations – specifically, how magical world leaders dealt with their muggle counterparts – she truly enjoyed teaching at Hogwarts. Although she always hoped it would be more of a skipping stone to a different position, with the Ministry of Magic, she wasn’t entirely sure how well that would work out… considering recent events. A slight frown formed across her face, just as the bell rang; she snapped out of it, glancing up at her students, all with rather confused looks on their faces. A smile crept across the corner of her lips. ”Good morning,” she said, standing from her desk and coming around, leaning against it. ”I trust you all remember at least a little of our lesson from the last class, about electricity.” The looks in some students eyes seemed to register what she was talking about, others just stared blankly. Ah, well, for their sakes, she hoped they’d remember. She grinned, raising her eyebrows. ”So can anyone tell me why the hell you have potatoes, nails, and wires on your desks?”
