Silly Milie,
I feel like this letter has been put off for far too long, dearest cousin of mine. How are you, Milie? I've been ridiculously busy being a grown-up and should have wondered about your life long ago!
I expected to be able to meet you at the Yule Ball this year, I don't think I was able to tell you I had been invited by Coco Calloway. But I didn't see you there. Is there a boy I should give a stern talk-to, or did you not go?
We have Christmas Eve to look forward to together, of course, but I want to know what's going on in your life now, anyway.

Frankie!
It has been far too long! What silly grown-up things have you been doing that could possibly more important than Milie? Oh but Milie has missed you, Frankie dearest. Milie has been pretty good lately – she got home about two days ago and already made a snow-bloke in the front yard! And Milie’s parents took Milie to see a live musical a month or so ago, did they tell you? Why, Milie didn’t know that Frankie went to the Yule Ball! Milie would have snuck down to see you otherwise! Coco, huh? She’s a pretty one, do you fancy her now? Please tell Milie you’re over Logan
No, Milie didn’t go to the ball. Milie didn’t have a date, but that’s okay because Milie didn’t really want to go anyway. They don’t let you wear chucks at those kinds of things you know, not even glittery ones.
Milie cannot wait to see you on Christmas Eve! Milie wants to know about your life! Is life out of school as fascinating as Milie thinks it is?

Milie,
Aren't snowmen the funnest thing to make, ever? I used to build one every winter when I was in school. Work takes away all that free time for fun things, now. ): Oh, did you? That's so awesome. What musical was it? The last one I saw was Oliver around three years ago.
I did! It was very fun, and I got round to seeing a lot of my old friends. I'd missed Hogwarts. Fancy Coco? Oh, no, not at all. She's just a good friend who needed a date. And aw, shucks. Though I guess I'm actually rather satisfied that I don't have to share you with some dirty-minded teenage boy.
Christmas is going to be awesome. I already know what I'm getting you and you're going to love it. That's as much as I'm telling you! Life is good. The apartment's a mess, but I see Fabian a lot. We went out for drinks last night, actually. And James, and Sirius and all the guys are around, too, so it's not like I've completely come apart from my school friends. Though the younger ones, yes. How's Lucy Murphy doing? And May Bell?

Frankie,
Oh yes they are! Snow angels as well. Why, you and Milie should make a whole slew of snow people on Christmas Eve together! And yes the musical was The Rocky Horror Show; it was rather mature and Mum and Dad were quite scandalized and kept trying to cover Milie’s eyes. Apparently they didn’t know it wasn’t “family friendly.” Milie thought it was a wonderful experience!
Milie thinks you should try to visit Hogwarts more often, then. Come for some Quidditch matches and watch Milie play! (: Ah well it’d be okay if you did fancy Coco. Or anyone new for that matter, it’s good to fancy new people, Milie thinks. Heh, no, no boys- you don’t have to worry! The only boy you may have to share Milie with is Jareth, but he’s just her best guy friend.
Frankie you’re a present tease! Urgh as if waiting for Christmas wasn’t hard enough. Well, Milie’s gift for you is also excellent and you’ll love it as well. That’s good to hear, it sounds like lots of fun! Lucy and May are doing good Milie thinks, though Milie hasn’t seen them since before Yule, Milie heard that Alice Prewett and them caused some shenanigans at the dance. Something about charmed mistletoe maybe? Apparently it was epic!

Milie,
That sounds like the funnest thing ever. I'll make sure to stock up on twigs for the arms! Oh! I've heard of that... I agree with your parents, it's rather scandalous for someone as young as you. You should have listened to them and covered your eyes!
I really should, shouldn't I? I have many friends I miss back there, including my favourite cousin! Maybe I'll surprise you at one of your games, then. And may I ask who this Jareth is? What's his last name? What house is he in?
I'm a total present tease and you still love me. Alas, you'll just have to live with the suspense, as I will. Oh, yeah, I heard about the mistletoe thing! Luckily, I didn't get caught under it, but supposedly it was the prank of pranks. Could give the Marauders a run for their money, those girls. Make sure to stay away from the more dangerous things they do, though, Mils! They're fun, but I don't want you getting in trouble!

Frankie,
Good thinking! Milie will make sure the house is stocked with plenty of carrots. Yeah? You should go see it! But if Milie had covered her eyes, she might’ve missed something important! Plus do you how difficult it is to look away from men in boas and high heels?! …on second thought, don’t answer that. Anyway, Milie found it fascinating.
Oh oh please do! You’ll be quite impressed, Milie thinks. Well, like Milie said, he’s one of Milie’s best mates! His name is Jareth Stardust and he’s in Ravenclaw. A nerdy fellow. He likes aliens a whole lot so Milie is going to take him to The Rocky Horror Show (there are aliens in it you know). As soon as Milie can convince Mum and Dad to let Milie go again.
Unless… you’d like to take Milie and Jareth?! Oh Frankie it’d be fun and you could see it too! Please say yes!
Well, that’s true. Milie doesn’t ever get in trouble because Milie doesn’t ever get caught of course! Although… uhm. Milie almost. Well. AliceLoganalmostcaughtMiliejinxingherquills butshedidn’tbecauseMiliehidbehindabiggersixthyear. Don’t be upset Frankie.

Milie,
Sounds just as scandalous as I imagined... Christ, Milie, the things you put yourself up to. I might just go watch it to see what my dear cousin has succumbed her little eyes to.
Ravenclaw sounds alright; doesn't sound like a bad fellow. Just make sure he keeps his hands to himself! I don't want to have it in my conscience to have to jinx a fourteen year old. He is fourteen, right? You're not suddenly hanging out with older blokes? And ah... are you sure that's a bright idea? The Rocky Horror isn't quite about aliens, is it? Maybe you should double check with this boy's parents, first; certainly before you get me involved in any of this.
...I'm more exasperated than upset, to be honest with you. Don't jinx quills, Milie! And um...what did Alice Logan say?
