I'm really sorry to break your concentration from your studying, but I seemed to have dropped my quill and it's right by your foot but I can't reach that far so if it's not too much tr I was wondering if you could pass it back to me? I'd be extremely grateful if you could, it's really my the only quill I have at the moment. Sorry, again. Also your hair looks nice.

Thank you so much! And oh, goodness, I know what you mean, about the head-explosion I mean, I totally feel that way too! It's like I haven't left the library in days, except I totally have because I need to eat and stuff haha, but otherwise it's like I live here! And Madam Pince isn't too happy about it, but I think she's just perpetually annoyed, I don't know why that is. Every time I try to smile at her and say good morning and try to be pleasant, she looks at me like I'm trying to sneak past her into the restricted section! And I'm working on...um...it's this...extra sort of thing on the side for a class. Kind-of like extra credit? For Defense Against the Dark Arts. It's much more advanced stuff sixth year stuff act, but if I figure it out and write a good enough essay, I might get some sort of extra credit, according to the Professor. It's about non-verbal spells. What about you?

Yikes, that's a lot of studying, you sure you're not a Ravenclaw in disguise? Haha, I'm just kidding, that's awesome, really, impressive. I wouldn't be too worried about Pince, I think she definitely is like that with all students, so it's nothing personal. She must like you better than some of the ones who come here, at least.
And oh, neat! Wow, again: impressive. I don't know many people who'd do that sort of extra credit assignment. How's it going? Do you need any help or anything? I've been learning quite a bit of non-verbal stuff in my classes this year, that's all.
It's really nice to meet you too, Gabriella. Or wait, do you prefer Gabby?

Oh goodness no! I'm not nearly smart or wise enough to be in Ravenclaw! It would certainly be an honour if I WAS a Ravenclaw though. And I suppose that's true. I'm just glad she hasn't refused me entry or something thus far.
And oh I suppose not but DADA is my worst subject so I really need the extra credit. Well it's not going very well at all to be honest. It's pretty hard for me. Like I said, not my best subject. But oh I don't want to bother you, you have your own studying to do!

Psh, that's no way to think, I'm sure you're really smart, Gabby. Certainly dedicated if you're coming here so often!
And ah, I understand, well kudos to you for trying to work on it. Sorry to hear that, are you sure I can't help at all? It's really not a big deal or anything, I mean it, we've been doing loads of non-verbal stuff and I know how tricky it is, took me ages to be able to do it even once, let alone to understand how complicated it is.
Haha, alright, well you're signing as Gabby so I'd say Gabby it is. Besides, I've always thought it was cool how some people go by nicknames, I'm afraid my own name doesn't lend itself well to that sort of thing.

No, I'm really not. Trust me. Did you hear about the girl who got attacked by the werewolf? That was me. I followed it into the forest, and I'm really lucky to be alive. So, see? Not so smart. And that's just one of the stupid things I've done that I'm not all too proud of.
Oh, well. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what it's about. Just a general essay about nonverbal spells and how to perform them and stuff. I just can't seem to find anything in any of the text books I've found. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong ones...did you maybe have to write an essay about it?
I love nicknames! I think the make things more personal, sort of. And, oh, I never thought about your name being unnicknamable, but I guess it is. There's Si, but out loud it sounds like sigh, and I doubt you'd go for 'Mony'.

Attacked by a werewolf? I heard rumours, but I wasn't sure, and you mean, that was you? Thank god you're okay, were you badly hurt? Don't call yourself stupid over that, Gabby, anyone could have gotten themselves hurt in that sort of situation. It's not your fault you were attacked, that's ridiculous!
Oh, that's something I can totally help with! Yeah, actually, we had to do an essay pretty much exactly along those lines the other day, mine's been handed in now, but I have my notes if you want to look over them? They're in my bag right now, and it's not like I need them.

Oh, yes, they are true. There is a werewolf in the Forbidden Forest, so you really shouldn't go in there. You shouldn't anyway, seeing as it is forbidden. I'm not sure he's still there, but he was a few weeks ago, which is when I was attacked. And no, trust me Simon, it was...very stupid, since I did follow it - followed! - it into the forest. I thought it was hurt. And that's still not the stupidest thing I've done this term.
Gosh, it'd be super helpful if I could borrow your notes! I promise, I'll give them back before you leave the library!
Well, do none of your friends call you anything besides Simon? To be honest, I'm a little tempted to call you Puppy because you have such lovely puppy eyes

That's awful, my god, I'm so glad you were alright in the end, Gabby. And I see, but I still wouldn't call you stupid for acting on such kind instincts. Not a lot of people are like that. Besides, you don't seem remotely stupid, trust me.

Not really, no. Huh. I've never given it much thought before, to be honest. That's too funny, both my sisters go by nicknames, and somehow I ended up the only one in the lot with a name that you really can't shorten.
