So I decided I should probably make one of these, yeah?
(Okay, first of all, I'm super awkward, so just bear with me here.)
My name is Michelle. I go by Ellie here, but most of my friends in real-life actually call me Washam, or whatever variation of it that decides to slip off their tongue. Because of this I have about one thousand names I answer to, including but not limited to the following: Ellie, Ella, Shelly, Seashell, Washam, Sham, Shammy, Shammers, Shamalamadingdong, Shamwow, Shamu, Micham, ...and Bob. I'm nineteen years old, and began my college education at Michigan State University in January to major in Anthropology. I'm the youngest child of six. I hail from Michigan, the USA, along with Bird, Biz, and Jessie - the lovely people who introduced me to this site. I started reading Harry Potter around the age of ten, and I started writing Harry Potter fanfiction... I don't know, a few years after that? That's actually how I met Didi, who I'm sure you all know. I joined ISS in April of 2009, so I've been here almost three years. And I was just appointed a moderator so now I'm in charge of things like archiving threads and checking up on activity and things! SoyeahIguessthat'sallandthisismyawkward goodbyesentence. GOODBYE. Oh, and, you know, carry on reading, because then you get to learn about my characters. And that's exciting. Obviously.

About The Character
So one night Jessie showed up at my house and she was all, "YOU SHOULD JOIN ISS." And I was all, "OH, OKAY." And then over the course of a few hours I threw together an incredibly shitty application. Which, you know, would have been better if I didn't feel so rushed, but, you know, whatever. So Lucy was born. At this point, I hadn't written in... a while, so it took a bit to get back into the swing of things. But. Um. Anyway. So Lucy is... Lucy is a lot like me, in many ways, but at the same time, we're very opposite. See, for a while, I was totally like, "oh, yeah, Lucy and me are like the same person", but then there was the time she marched right up to Sirius Black and told him he should be her boyfriend, and I was like, "um, well shit, son." I think I would have passed out before I even got within four feet of that man and his beauty. Lucy and I? We're both stubborn as hell. We're both fiercely competitive. We're both completely ridiculous, and we both have no shame. We're vulgar, we're smart, we're impatient, we've got too much pride about thee stupidest things. But the difference between her and I is that I am way squishier. I have empathy pouring out my ears, I don't like being mean to people for no reason, I am way too shy to do half the crap this girl does, and she's got her shit together. This bitch has known what she's wanted to do for years - work for the Ministry, that is - and she is gonna fight like hell to get there. Essentially, Lucy is the person I wish I were; she says all the stuff I would never say, and she does all the stuff I would never do. She's also a tiddy bit more immune to the emotions of other people which'll probably help her in the long run. Seriously, though, this girl is completely out of control. She's kind of unpredictable, somehow, even though her personality is such a constant. I really adore her, though, and I can't imagine being on ISS without her.
As for her social life here on ISS, she's got a lot of friends. Probably way too many, to be honest. She'd talk to anyone and she's the sort of girl who can switch it up depending on who she's with (another thing we have in common), not necessarily to manipulate people into liking her, but just because there's so many different parts of her personality. Her closest friends (a few of these people have been deleted BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET THEM) are Wendy, Sirius, Bri, Alice 1, Alice 2, May, Olivia, Lily, Frank, James, Remus, Emily, Dani, Kieran, Alessa, Niko, Coco, Peter, Caoimhe, Adeline, Tristan, Julian, Julien, Arthur, Keller, and the list goes on and on and on... OH, AND WILLIAM, OF COURSE. She is pregnant with his child, if any of you did not already know. Also, they're kind of getting married. Eventually.
Her background isn't too interesting, to be honest. I didn't develop it that much when I originally wrote her, and I haven't really sat around to hash it all out the way I have with my other characters. I don't think there's anything too interesting there, though, to be honest. She comes from a big Irish Catholic family. She has a lot of siblings, a lot of nieces and nephews, and even more cousins. They're very family oriented so even if they have their disagreements, at the end of the day, she'll always adore all of them. I sort of decided the Murphys have a bit of a pureblood line going, but, similar to the Weasleys, they are very openly against the whole purebloods-are-better-than-everyone-else movement. Blood traitors, really. She was born and raised in Ireland, but their family relocated to Budapest, Hungary as she got older; her accent is super fucky because of it. She learned how to play the piano when she was quite young and eventually learned how to play the violin. Quidditch has been one of her passions since she was a little girl, and her Quidditch ability is something she's prided herself on for years. She was pretty sad when she realized she couldn't play her final year because of the baby, but she joined up with the cheerleaders and now bounces around in a lion costume her mother made for her every Gryffindor game.
About the Face Claim Haha. I remember sitting in bed with Jessie right next to me thinking about who the hell I could use, and I don't know. Evangeline sort of just came to me. I think I actually wanted to use Rachel McAdams at first because I have a supermega girl crush on her, but she was already being used. LOST was very relevant to my life then, and I had always thought Evangeline was pretty, so, you know, it only made sense. Since then I've considered changing her face claim once or twice, but I've always decided against it. Evangeline just is Lucy in so many ways to me, even their personalities are similar, so I've never been able to go through with it.
