And The History Book Dictates; He knew she was pretty, and he really didn't care about house differences. Who cares? They were people too. The only thing that really stood out to Aiden about Kariana was her eyes. Molly had eyes that looked a lot like hers. Oh how he missed Molly. He had heard about Kariana's reptuation, and who knows. Maybe if he were having an especially crappy day dealing with Molly's death he could find...comfort. She had thick skin, shouldn't get to her. Good thing she's pretty though, otherwise he would want nothing to do with her. If he were ever to be with her, he had better watch his back. He couldn't take anymore heartache. No, Aiden would keep things casual. Maybe they would go out, have a few drinks, and see how things went. Other than that, a relationship is the last thing on his mind.

And the history book dictates: It’s a simple story, to be frank: acquaintances, semi-good friends, best friends, date, break up, suddenly back to just good friends. Don’t follow? Allow me to break it down for you. Rabastan had noticed her during the sorting while he being in second year, Ana coming in as a first. He didn’t think much of it at the time, other then thinking she looked “pretty cute.” Skip ahead to his third year (her second) and let’s face it – a year of being shut up in the same house together some kind of friendship is bound to grow. That stayed with the pair of them up until Rabastan’s sixth year, when he finally decided to ask her out. It’d been an idea that bounced back and forth for a while, even talked to her about it, but nothing ever came from it until: “Alright look. I like you and you like me. Last time I checked that was the only qualification needed for a girl to agree to just one date with a guy. So get the wax out of your ears while I ask one more time: will you please just give me a single night?” After that rather forceful invitation Ana agreed and after that night? It was a lost cause. For a brief time she and Rabastan were inseparable. He claimed as much of her attention as she did his. Some rather fond memories formed during those ages, one being the arousal of Ana’s nickname, Kat. We won’t go into too much detail, but her nail’s definitely leave their mark on him whenever they spend a night together. “She’s a beast in bed – what, I’m not allowed to like that?” Who knows, they could have made it far. However, one of Rabastan’s friends, Mick, wasn’t up for letting their relationship go on much longer. Mick didn’t like Ana to begin with and now she was hogging up all of Rabastan’s time. Two lies later (namely, Mick confessing to Ana Rabastan was only dating her because he felt sorry for her and Mick telling Rabastan he’d caught Ana kissing another guy), well… Needless to say, Rabastan and Ana were broken up by that next morning after a rather nasty fight. They probably would have remained haters for the rest of their Hogwarts schooling except Rabastan overheard Mick telling another about his “brilliant plan to get rid of that skank.” Mick was introduced to Rabastan’s fist, and Ana was reintroduced to Rabastan’s friendship. Year later they still are good friends and, yeah, on occasion (and one too many drinks in) Rabastan’s reminded of why he calls Ana Kat.
