{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name: Todd Romanza Campbell Jr. (TJ) Age: Sixteen Gender: He's a wiener. Year: Sixth. Face Claim: Joshua Jackson (nomnomnomnom)
Canon or Original? ‘Rig, homes.
Facial Properties: TJ has pretty chiseled features for a teenager. He's got a strong jaw and cheekbones, but his eyes are soft and chocolate brown. His eyebrows are big, but well taken care of. He has a rounded chin and facial structure, with dinner plate ears and a big nose. He doesn't particularly like his face, but he deals with what he has and moves on.
Physique: TJ’s got a nice body. His chest and arms are toned, but not overly muscular, which he likes. He’s got chiseled abdominal muscles, but they’re not overly defined. His hip lines are visible when he’s shirtless, and his legs are again, toned and muscular, but not thick and rippling. His feet and hands are delicate, but always warm and rough.
Wand Type: Maple, 11 inches, Dragon heartstring Wand Expertise: Defensive spells Patronus: Lion Boggart: His sister, writhing on the floor in agony. Personality:
OUTGOING & FRIENDLY
TJ is a very friendly person in general. He likes to be surrounded by his friends, because he feels more comfortable that way; more accepted in the world. In order to be surrounded by people, he needs to be able to make friends easily. So, over the years, as TJ began to realize how much he valued friendship and loyalty, he worked on his people skills, being able to read body language and just have a knack for determining how to befriend someone. He’s gotten pretty good at it. TJ’s also pretty outgoing; it comes along with the territory of being friendly. He has no problem being the first one to introduce himself to other people, and he certainly doesn’t mind being the first one to talk to a girl when he’s with his friends. TJ’s just a nice guy, to put it mildly.
LIKEABLE & ACCIDENT PRONE
Going along with being friendly, TJ’s just generally likeable. He likes to make jokes, laugh at himself, and he’s constantly making sure everyone around him is comfortable and enjoying themselves. If he’s with a big group of friends, he’ll make sure to talk to each and every one of them at some point, making sure that each person he’s interacting with feels included and special. He likes to spend time with his friends just one-on-one, too, to develop relationships, so that later on, when he’s with a lot of people at once, he’s got a special connection with everyone he’s with. He also happens to be quite clumsy. It’s nothing important, it’s just worth mentioning. He tends to always have some type of injury, from some sport or another. Usually when he’s walking down a corridor, he’s got either an arm in a sling, or a bandage somewhere on his body. His friends think it’s pretty hysterical.
ROMANTIC & CARING
His friends like to tease him about it, but TJ's a very romantic being. He likes grand gestures, and he loves giving gifts to any of his friends that are girls. He dreams of finding the right girl one day, and chocolates and flowers are definitely something that he knows exactly how to get and what to get in order to win a girl’s heart. He’s also caring and sweet. He’s always very supportive of his friends, especially the girls, and has never minded being the good friend or the shoulder to cry on. He likes that people trust him, and he loves feeling significant when a girl or even one of his mates asks him for advice or just someone to talk to. TJ just likes being liked and wanted.
SMART & FUNNY
Pretty self-explanatory. TJ loves to read, write, learn; anything in that category. He’s very book smart; he knows a lot about a lot of subjects. One of those people who remembers a lot of useless information about random magical beasts or how to magically make your bed. He likes magic, and experimenting with Potions and Wandlore. He’s also a hilarious person. He loves to laugh, and he loves it when other people can make him laugh. He’s sarcastic all the time, but his friends know it’s all in good fun. He would never intentionally be rude to someone; he’s always been quite the gentleman, unless someone is asking for an ass whoopin’. But that’s different. TJ’s a very gentle being, he just likes to have a laugh.
OBLIVIOUS & STUPID
However, TJ is a guy; of the male species. He’s horribly oblivious to anything romance-wise at the beginning of any relationship. He’s very slow when it comes to reading romantic body language or flirting. He’s a flirt himself, but he won’t realize a girl’s flirting back unless she makes it blaringly obvious. It’s a little pathetic, but TJ just prefers it when girls are straightforward about being attracted to him anyway. He’s also stupid. Again, he’s a guy, so he tends to make guy-like mistakes. Not always on purpose, but sometimes, when he’s hanging out with his friends and his girlfriend, he tends to focus more on his friends, just because he’s used to it. He feels bad afterwards if his girlfriend brings up that she felt left out, but he never realizes what he’s doing wrong until after it’s happened. He also has a tendency to get irritated easily. He doesn’t really like repeating himself, or having his freedom restricted. His parents have been forcing him to do everything they wanted when he was younger, and when he’s at Hogwarts, it’s about it what he wants to do, and how he wants to act, and when a girl tries to change that, he gets angry. He’s working on it; he knows that usually when that happens, it’s just because they want him to spend more time with them. But, he’s still a guy. It’s just the way he’s going to be while he’s still a teenager.
TREE HUGGER & METROSEXUAL
This is pretty obvious. TJ’s very into the environment. He hates it when people don’t throw away their trash, or leave things outside for other people to pick up. He hates it when people leave the taps on for too long, or when his family uses up electricity like it isn’t a big deal. He rarely ever drives a car, preferring to bike or walk, because of the ozone layer. He’s very passionate about preserving wildlife; Muggle and wizarding alike. He tends to adopt little lost animals when he’s home, and his mother gets really tired of it, but TJ won’t stop. He just had a heart for anything nature. The quickest way to his heart is to pick up a piece of trash when it’s just lying somewhere before he can. He’s also very aware of the way he looks and dresses. He’s not completely obsessed with appearances, he just knows what looks good on him and how to dress his body. He takes good care of his eyebrows and nails, and he always makes sure that his clothes match and hang right. His friends like to tease him about being gay. But TJ doesn’t care what they say. He’s not the one wearing green and red in the middle of the summer. Besides, he likes girls, and he and his friends know that. Who else matters?

History:
Family;;
Todd Campbell Sr. - Father (65 yrs.) AnneMarie Campbell (Dempsey) - Mother (32 yrs.) Leonardo (Leo) Campbell- Brother (18 yrs.) Amelie Campbell- Sister (Deceased)
AnneMarie Dempsey was born into a small family; just her and her brother, Charles. Their parents, Shirley and Horst, were both of wizard descent, and it was customary for the Dempsey children to be a part of the magical family. And that they were. AnneMarie and Charles were both showing magical abilities at very young ages, and their parents were always laid back and supportive of everything they did. But there was tension in the home, for AnneMarie grew tired of their lack of parenting skills, in her opinion. They let Charles do whatever he wanted; let him get away with anything, and they did the same for AnneMarie. She hated it. She wanted structure in her life; something to work towards. Her family never seemed interested in goals and rules. They were all about expressing themselves and going with the flow. When AnneMarie finally got to Hogwarts, she was sorted quickly into Ravenclaw, and began her new life with restrictions and regulations. She was in love with the rules of the school, and was quickly promoted to a prefect in her fifth year. Loving the way the school was run, she strived for more, eventually ending up in the honorable position of Head Girl, while her brother Charles excelled in Quidditch and wooing women. While Charles was accepting of all blood statuses, AnneMarie was the complete opposite, refusing to even come into physical contact with filthy muggles. It was disgusting, associating with all the people that he did. There was bad blood at Hogwarts, that much she was sure of. But did her brother have to be the one to marry a Squib? It was just awful. She was ashamed of her brother’s heinous decision, and quickly severed ties with her family once she graduated Hogwarts, eager to go out and find a successful man that would take care of her and provide for her family. Someone who would make goals with her, someone who would set rules for her children. Someone who knew the importance of being pure-blood and carrying on the line.
Todd Campbell was a successful man.
Fast forward three years....
Todd came home from work late that night, hanging up his coat on the coat rack and turning around to take his evening scotch from his wife, pecking her on the cheek and heading for the dining room to have dinner with his wife and son, Edward. AnneMarie pulled the chair out for her husband and then shooed the butler away, wanting a quiet dinner with just her husband and child. It was rare at the Campbell manor to have an uninterrupted meal, but AnneMarie was determined. She’d even disconnected the telephone cord and shut all the windows to prevent owls from coming in and out. Looking up over the pot roast that Lucille, their cook, had made, she smiled at her husband, not sure where to begin. There was something she had to tell him, and she didn’t know how. Todd was a tired man after coming home; he didn’t like being bothered with discussions and conversations about tense subjects. His family owned Campbell’s soup; his grandfather had founded the company in the fifties, and it had thrived ever since. Todd’s family was also pure-blood, he’d attended Durmstrang, and Todd and AnneMarie were the exact same in their thinking when it came to their child and his upbringing. There was only one problem. Todd was convinced that one could only be happy with one child; one son to carry on the line.
AnneMarie was pregnant.
Fast forward four years...
After years of fighting, lying, and one near death experience, the Campbell’s ended up with three beautiful children; Leonardo, Todd Jr., and Amelie. They lived in a beautiful mansion on the shore of a small creek on the edge of England’s outskirts. AnneMarie loved her three children; they were being brought up wonderfully by all of their maids, tutors, and nannies. They had schedules and studied every day. They practiced their manners and worked on their foreign languages. They never wore the same thing twice. Their hair was combed, their shirts pressed, Amelie’s dresses were always ironed. Her children were absolutely perfect. Todd Sr. finally accepted that he would have more than one child, and eventually grew to love his children. He never told them that, of course; he always kept a firm hand with them, but he made sure to give them everything they needed. That was what was important in a father. Someone who can provide, and that was was he did for his children. The company was flourishing perfectly, and when Leonardo was of age, he would take over the family business, just as they had for the last three generations. Leonardo was six, and already showing signs of magical abilities. Todd Jr. was four, and a little spitfire, but AnneMarie knew they would break him of that soon. Leonardo had already gone through that phase, and they’d beat it out of him, too. Amelie was AnneMarie’s darling daughter; beautiful and bouncy, just two years old at that time. AnneMarie was completely content with her perfect, socialite life, and insisted that everything be perfect forever. There was one little issue that she was already seeing. Leonardo was betrothed already; his future wife was lovely little girl named Rissa, her family had been pureblood as far back as they could trace her history. But what about Todd Jr.? There weren’t a lot of pureblood families left, and AnneMarie was very picky about the future spouses of her children. But, she almost already knew the answer to that dilemma. The Henley’s, across the creek, had a little girl that would be absolutely darling with Todd Jr. The only problem was convincing them. However, after one simple conversation with the family, no problems could be seen. The two were bethrothed, and AnneMarie had no more doubts about her families perfect future. Everything was going according to plan.
Fast forward eleven years...
(From TJ’s perspective)
“I was thirteen when it happened.” TJ visibly cringes into his chair, rubbing at his eyes and trying to act tough, but his mask is quickly slipping. “Amelie was eleven, Leo was fifteen. We were just sitting around the dinner table, eating and talking about Leo and Rissa’s wedding, again. I was bored with the conversation. I was just about to asked to be excused and go see Dani, when Amelie just....fell out of her chair.” He pauses, looking at a random spot on the floor, his control leaving him almost visibly. “We thought it was funny at first, but then when I looked closer, she was.... she was spasming. Her whole body was going crazy. I didn’t know what to do....” TJ puts his head in his hands, his whole body shaking uncontrollably, but he keeps talking. “We took her to the hospital, but it was too late. Mum was too nervous to call the ambulance. She didn’t want people to see her daughter in such a state. It would look bad to the public, she said.” Anger floods TJ’s face. “If she would have just taken her in earlier, the doctors could have treated her before it got any worse. But she didn’t. And Amelie was permanently brain damaged. The doctors gave her three years before her brain just stopped functioning.” Tears slowly come to TJ’s eyes, his face expressionless somehow. “She died two years later.” He shook his head, as if trying to erase the images from his mind. “Mum wanted to keep her in the basement, locked up, away from everyone, unable to be seen. So, for her last two years of life, Amelie was locked in a room, with four white walls, and nothing but some food and books to keep her company.” He sniffs, trying to pull himself together. TJ looks up. “They wouldn’t even let me go down there and see her. They were afraid I would catch it, whatever it was.” He looks back down again. “I miss her every day.”
One year later....
TJ still remembers Amelie and how much she loved him. And now, he’s starting his sixth year at Hogwarts, just trying to enjoy his life, like he knew Amelie would have wanted him to.
