Name: Jordan Cosette Baker
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Chicaboo.
Year: Fifth
Face Claim: Blake Lively
Canon or Original? 'Riginal.
Facial Properties: Jordan, whether she believes it or not, has striking facial features. Her big, sea-green eyes are set wonderfully into her face not too deep so they're unable to be seen. Her eyebrows are kept up nicely, and her nose is a little big. Jordan hates her nose,of course. Her father used to call her Wicked Witch of the West. Yeah, it's not exactly the sweetest nickname. She's really self-conscious about it, but, in everyone else's opinion, her lips compliment it beautifully. They're full and red, usually, covered with some type of simple clear gloss. She had high cheekbones and a strong jaw; her teeth are a little crooked on the bottom, but they're white. Whenever she does photo shoots, her dad's always sure to tell the photographer that Jordan's only allowed to smile with her lips, not her teeth. Getting a full smile out of Jordan is like trying to get a porcupine to poop goat cheese. Yuck. The point is, she has a very pretty face, she just doesn't think so. Go figure.
Physique: Jordan is, to put it simply, beautiful. Her body is proportioned wonderfully, as if her parents picked out exactly how she was going to look when her mother was pregnant. It's an almost perfect mix of a sporty and girlly girl. Jordan has the opportunity to look feminine and beautiful, but her bones and muscles are just as strong, if not stronger, than her brother. Her shoulders are small, but strong. Her back has no curves or bumps whatsoever. Her arms are small, but defined, and her body hair is blonde, looking almost non existent on her forearms and biceps, which are also developed, considering how many sports she plays. Her legs are a thing of beauty, pure muscle and going on for miles. Her hands and feet are on the smaller side, but her fingers and toes are a little shorter and on the plumper side. Again, Jordan doesn't think she's beautiful, but maybe it'll just take some convincing.
Wand Type: Holly, Unicorn Hair, 9 inches
Wand Expertise: Charms.
Patronus: Dove
Boggart: Standing on the edge of a cliff (Heights)
Personality:I want someone to need me, is that so bad?
If you could take one good trait in seven different relationships and combine them into one, Jordan would have all of those traits. No one is perfect, but Jordan gets damn close when it comes to making her boyfriend happy and content with her. She makes it mandatory to mold herself into the girl that her boyfriend wants her to be. If Jordan gets the hint that her guy wants her to be all over him around her friends to show that she's dedicated, she'll do it. If she's picking up vibes that her boyfriend isn't really a fan of holding hands and publicy showing affection, she'll be careful about being touchy. She reads people easily, especially boys, so it makes it simple for her to be exactly what they want her to be, whether they voice it or not. When Jordan dated Aidan Donnelly, she was loud and crazy, and most of their relationship was based on playing some type of sport together. When Jordan dated Will Dempsey, she was quieter, taking more time to catch up on her reading and take walks with him. It ranged from relationship to relationship, depending on the type of guy she's with. Some of Jordan's friends and exes worry that Jordan changes too much to fit her boyfriend's needs, but she doesn't mind at all. She likes feeling like her boyfriend ordered her specially made. Jordan's not even sure what her regular personality looks like in a relationship, but as far as Jordan knows, it doesn't bother her at all. It's pretty simple when broken down. Jordan likes being needed, and when it comes to making someone else happy, she'll throw her whole heart into it.Nothing makes sense anymore
One of Jordan's most prominent downfalls is her willingness to trust people. It's way too large. Jordan believes that there's something good ineveryone and everything she sees. It often gets her into trouble by simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jordan has a tendency to either trust people too much, or just simply trust the wrong people. She believes heavily in second chances , even when it comes to cheating, which is never a good situation. Her friends and family often tell her that it's a bad idea to constantly put her heart on the line like that, but Jordan is convinced that somewhere in the world, and maybe even at Hogwarts, her soulmate is waiting just around the corner. Deep down, Jordan is willing to do just about anything to find that one special person. If that means doing anything for a friend or boyfriend, she'll do it. Within reason, of course. Part of the problem actually stems from her cousin, Kiki. When the girls were little, Jordan would do everything Kiki told her to and would believe everything Kiki said. And each time Jordan got busted or in trouble for something, Kiki wouold find a way to reward her or thank her later for taking the blame, which she usually did. Subconciously, Jordan trusts people and does things for people because she has a feeling that people will find a way to thank her or pay her back later.I want someone to love me, for who I am
Beneath all those layers of soccer shorts and sports bras, Jordan is one of the most insecure people known to walk the earth. When she was younger, and even now, as a teenager, her father and mother never really told her they loved her. Jordan knows that her familu is pretty close, but saying and showing that they love each other never really happens. It's not that Julia and Jimmy don't adore their children, because they do, it's just because they were never really told that they were loved when they were kids either. On top of that, Jordan's parents don't take much time to encourage or congratulate her for accomplishments, either. Freddy was their first born, so he was constantly given attention simply on principle. April was adopted, so she automatically received loads of attention, just to constantly make sure she was comfortable in her new home. And Corinne's the baby, so she's still given attention. Jordan was stuck somewhere in the middle, so, just like a classic middle child story, she was left in the dark. It wasn't like they forgot her birthday, or made her stay home to hand out candy rather than go trick-or-treating on Halloween, it was just....Jordan wasn't first in her family. Every time Jordan does a show or a shoot, her dad had nothing but critisim to offer her. Her parents never intentionally want to hurt Jordan's feelings, but it happens often. Jordan just doesn't ever really feel pretty, or smart, or fashionable. Even though she's an A student, and beautiful, and has a great style. She doesn't fish for compliments; her insecurities are buried and deep rooted.I want a break from madness, but it's all I have
Jordan is obsessed with films, photography, modeling, and acting. She's done tons of Muggle commercials, a couple of local music videos, and endless amounts of photoshoots and modeling gigs. As much as Jordan loves magic and being a witch, her true dream is to become an actress when she graduates from Hogwarts. Her family is supportive of her dreams, but her father is much more than that; he's committed. He takes Jordan to all of her jobs, takes her headshots, and schedules all of her gigs. He's really pushy sometimes about her taking work, scheduling Jordan for jobs without even asking her and using his powers as her father to force her into them. Jordan tries to remember that he had her best interest in mind, and he just wants to her to be famous, like she wants, and that he cares about her, but sometimes, it's hard. She loves movies; watching them and being in them, and making them keep her happy and smiling. She's not very good at the making part, but she does try and she does enjoy it. She's into fashion to an extent. She knows what she likes, and she doesn't mind the occassional shopping trip, but Chanel isn't her idol and she doesn't worship Oscar de la Renta like her cousin does. Overall, Jordan likes being well dressed, but she's not obsessive about looking rich.

George and Edith Baker were two of the most high class Muggle people in all of Munich. George was the mayor, and made of what people called "New Money", striking gold in California and making millions. Edith and him led an extravagant life, funding new buildings, buying property and reselling it whenever they could; giving money away to every charity they could get their hands on. They were an unstoppable force; a well-oiled machine. They were local celebrities, making a killing in the stock market as well. George just kept getting lucky, making more and more money with every decision he made. After a solid five years of building a foundation for their family, George and Edith both decided it was time to settle down. They took off for the summer, dissappearing off the social map, and when they returned to the spotlight, Editch announced she was three months pregnant. The city showered the wealthy couple with good wishes and gifts; everyone expecting that the small child was destined for greatness. When James Andrew Baker was donr, Edith was in a state of ecstasy. She'd wanted a child for so long, and now that she had one, all she wanted to do was drop off the social radar for good and raise her baby boy with her husband at her side. George, however, refused. He couldn't leave his work, especially since re-election was just around the corner. Plus, he was still making a fortune thorugh the stock market, and he insisted that Edith return to her book clubs and afternoon teas with the other housewives and socialites of Munich. There was no arguing with her husband So, when little Jimmy was just six weeks old, Edith gave him up to a full time nanny, going ot back her old life and hating every minute of it It was a lonely marraige after that; their schedules always conflicting. George never had time for Edith anymore, especially since he'd been re-elected. The two fought constantly, sometimes in front of Jimmy on really bad nights. About three years went by then, and Edith found herself pregnant once again. This time, however, George didn't remember when it could have possibly happened.
He came home late one night after he'd found out, throwing his small wife up against a cabinent in the kitchen, demanfing to know who she had slet with in order to get pregnant again. Jimmy watched the whol thing from the balcony about, just a toddler at the time. But Edith was done being pushed around. She'd found someone, a working man on a corn farm from England where their summer home was, a man by the name of Bill York. Edith was in love with the man, ready to leave at a moment's notice as soon as Bill had a place of his own to live with Edith and their unborn child. The only person besides George who knew about the affair, however, was Bills boss, Benjamin Valentine. George couldn't let this happen. He had to think about his future as a political figure. It just didn't look good to have this awful of a scandal. George forced Edith into staying with him, promising to pay for everything for the child, even promising to pay for all the expenses. Edith relucantly agreed, knowing that her baby would be forever taken care of if George had her back. She wrote a letter to Bill, still in love with him, but doing what she had to to protect both of her children. If this got out, it could reflect badly on little Jimmy, too. The only problem was, Benjamin, Bill's boss, knew how much money he could make from spilling the secret. So, in an effort to keep the whole thing underwraps, George and Edith promised to betrothe their unborn daughter to the Valentine's unborn son. That way, their son would have a chance at a wealthy life, as well. The deal was sealed.
Finally, the day came for Edith to deliver, and Maisy was born. Jimmy loved his little sister more than anything in the world, always asking to hold her and feed her and play with her. Seeing the connection between her two children, Edith finally put her foot down, demanding that George let her raise her own children. He agreed reluctantly, and Jimmy spent the rest of his childhood learning what his mother had to teach him and protecting his little sister. Edith loved her little boy and baby girl; and raised them to be the best they could; whatever they wanted to be. Jimmy got perfect marks all through elementary and high school, deciding he'd rather work during the summer and save up money for college rather than spend the entire vacation in England watching Maisy play with her little boyfriend, Bobby Valentine. Eventually, Jimmy went off to college, promising to write his mother and sister as much as he could; after all, it was the three of them against the world. When Jimmy got to college, though, he got busy, and sadly fell out of touch with his little sister and mother. Finally, one day, a letter came for him. It was from Maisy. She was getting married, and she wanted Jimmy to be the one to walk her down the aisle. They both hated their father; he wasn't even invited to the wedding. Jimmy wrote back as soon as he could, and just two weeks later he was on his way to walk his sister down the aisle and give her away to the one man he knew could keep up with her; Bobby Valentine. The day for the wedding arrived, and Jimmy kissed his baby sister on the forehead just before taking her arm and leading her down the aisle, towards Robert. They were a few feet away from the altar when he saw her.
She was standing at the altar as well, holding out her hand for Maisy's bouquet. She was the Maid Of Honor. She was also the most beautiful thing Jimmy had ever seen. A vision in red with flowing blonde hair and eyes that he could get lost in, she took up all of the space in Jimmy's brain, and he couldn't stop looking at her for the entire ceremony. After it was over and Jimmy met up with Maisy at the reception, he asked who the girl was. Maisy just smiled and told him that she was her best friend. But that was all she said. He had to know who she was. Working his natural charm, Jimmy sauntered over to her at the reception, golding his hand out for hers and smiing. She looked a little confused, but smiled and tooks his hand anyway, letting him lead her onto the dance floor with the other dancers. She slipped her hand easily into his as her other hand snaked its way up his arm to rest on his shoulder. He shivered excitedly at her touch. Who was this girl? Jimmy smiled. "So, you're Maisy's brother," she concluded, grinning back at him as they swayed around the dance floor with ease. Jimmy nodded, unable to take his eyes off of hers, love struck in under three minutes. She was stunning. "That must make you her best friend." She nodded as well, in turn checking Jimmy out. They both started laughing but Jimmy cut it short, brushing a stray hair that had fallen into her face. "Jimmy." She smiled. "Julia."
And the rest? History.
They were married three months later, and this time Julia was the one in a dress and Maisy was holding the flowers. Maisy couldn't be happier with her brother and best friend; knowing from the minute her and Julia had become friends that something was to happen. Julia was scared to tell Jimmy that she was a witch, hoping that it wouldn't change his view of her, but she was wrong to be worried. He couldn't be more in love with her, and nothing was going to stand in their way of happiness. Just months after their wedding, when they had finally settled down in Ireland, where Julia was originally fromt, Julia was pregnant. Jimmy couldn't be happier, and nine months later, Freddy Remington was born into the world. The rest is pretty much self explanitory. Freddy was a good kid, and a good big brother when it came time for Julia to give birth again, just a year after Freddy was brought into the world. On a cold, but bright December day, Jordan Cosette Baker was born in a little hospital outside of Dublin. Julia was thrilled; she'd always wanted a girl. Jimmy held his baby girl for the first time in the hospital, and he was hooked right then and there. She was perfect. Jordan was a really happy baby; growing up chasing Freddy around their backyard and asking her mother to explain what magic was. Everything was going fine, and her childhood was perfectly normal. Until April came.
It was raining; Julia was pregnant for the third time, and the couple was enjoying some tea in front of the fireplace before turning in for the night. There was a knock at the door, and Jimmy got up to get it, opening the door and finding a basket on the porch. He looked at it curiously, unsure of what it was. Until it made noise. A soft cry came from inside it, and Jimmy jumped, grabbing the basket and bringing it into the house, setting it on the table and opening the lid while Julia stood behind him, her hands gripping his shoulders. The lid was opened slowly, and sure enough, a little girl was inside. She didn't look harmed in any way, but she was crying. Julia gasped, pulling the little baby out of the basket and grabbing one of Jordan's bottles out of the fridge to feed her. Jimmy didn't know what to do, but Julia's motherly insticts weren't leaving her alone. The next day, Julia called the police, asking them about the adandoned child, but they had no leads. If no one called and claimed the baby in a week, then they would be forced to put her in an orphanage. But Julia wouldn't hear any of it. This baby girl was hers, and it had been since the minute she was placed on the porch. They went through all the legal processes just before Corinne was born, and April Rose was brought into the Baker family. Freddy and Jordan loved her, just as they did when Corinne was born just a month later.
The rest of Jordan's childhood is nothing special; the only thing that matters now is that she's entering her sixth year at Hogwarts, and things with her family and friends have been going great since the day she was born.
Jordan's very lucky to have grown up the way she did, and she won't ever forget it.
Sample Post: from- & she's holding on my heart like a hand grenade.Kiki nodded and blushed again, and Cameron looked once more at Jack before turning to head up the stairs to Kiki’s room. Kiki looked at Jack apologetically when Cameron turned the corner at the top of the stairs. “He’s just nervous for this party, that’s all,” she said quietly, looking at her shoes. She looked up at Jack again, taking another step closer to him. “Wait for me? I’ll just be a minute.” She smiled and then turned around, jogging lightly up the stairs and to her room, opening the door and dropping her purse and bag on the floor. She closed it behind her, walking to her bed where Cameron was sitting. He looked up at her, and smiled, but Kiki glared. “You didn’t have to be such a jackass, you know.” Cameron just laughed smugly. Dammit, she hated him. Slipping out of her clothes, Kiki stepped into the new dress, walking over to her closet and slipping on her white heels. She turned and quickly sat at her vanity, fluffing her hair and reapplying her lip gloss. Cameron babbled on about the gala while Kiki transferred her things from her purse to her white clutch, trying to ignore him. Kiki slid the finishing touch, her white headband, into place, looking once in the mirror and heading for the door, Cameron right behind her. They walked to the stairs, Cameron still going on about the gala, Kiki still not listening. They reached the staircase then and Kiki looked down, hoping Jack was waiting for her. Sure enough, he was there, and Kiki’s genuine smile returned to her face. She took the stairs a little slower than Cameron did, and when she reached the bottom, he was waiting for her. Cameron held his arm out but Kiki shook her head. “I’ll be along in a minute. I just want to say goodbye.” Cameron looked over at Jack once more, a sneer on his face. Cameron strutted past Jack and outside into the limo. Kiki rolled her eyes and walked over to Jack, looking into his eyes. “I’ll be gone late tonight. Don’t wait up, okay? And thank you, again, for today.” She smiled sadly at him.
Kiki Valentine knew exactly what she wanted.
But there was something--rather, someone standing in the way.
What she wanted was right in front of her, looking into her eyes; listening to what she had to say; respecting her. That was what Kiki wanted. Kiki wanted Jack. She wanted to not be afraid to touch him and worry about his reaction. She wanted to be able to kiss him without being punished in some way. She wanted him to hold her in his arms without the thought of what Cameron was going to do. However, Kiki knew one special thing, probably better than anyone else.
Life is full of things you can't have.
And so, as she sat across the table from the person she truly wanted to be with, Kiki tried to hide her pain with a smile; determined that Jack never find out how much she wanted to be with him, and how much it was killing her that it would never happen. They were partners in crime, literally, and nothing else. They were friends, and nothing else. Kiki had to keep that constantly in mind, no matter what she wanted. This wasn't about what she wanted. She knew that. This was about her family's freedom. Kiki wasn't the only one suffering from Cameron's need to have Kiki always at her side. Taj and Talan and her mother had to deal with it, too. And Kiki was done having to constantly rely on Cameron to support her family. She knew her mother loved the high life, and Kiki wasn't about to take that away from her. But if Kiki could make enough money to be free of Cameron, her mother could finally start making her own reputation. It was a win-win situation for everyone, and that was the reason Kiki was doing this. That was the reason Kiki let Cameron take advantage of her when they were alone; let him sleep around with other girls; let him pretend like Kiki was his one and only when he really used her for cameras and sex. Kiki loved her family, and they needed this relationship. But now, all of that was about to change, thanks to the perfect boy who was now sitting in front of her.
He answered her then and pulled his hand away, and Kiki sighed, reminding herself that she had to be careful of her emotions around Jack. There were two possible reasons that Jack never let them get farther than holding her hand for a few seconds and letting her kiss him on the cheek. He was either a gentleman, and didn't want to put both of them in a bad situation, or he just simply wasn’t interested in her and was being polite. Kiki sighed as Jack took a sip of his wine, pulling her hands in slowly and letting them rest in front of her; convinced the second reason was more plausible. Kiki had to be careful around Jack for more than just because of Cameron. She had to be careful because she didn’t even know if Jack felt even a small fraction of what she felt for him. She had to be careful because she didn’t want to get hurt. So, now, even though the timing would have been perfect; even though Kiki constantly dreamt of kissing Jack’s perfectly kissable lips, she wouldn’t do it. She couldn’t act on it.
Jack began to speak then and Kiki sat back, listening to the sound of his voice, taking in what he was saying. If Kiki was serious about learning everything she could from Jack, which she was, she had to listen to everything that came out of his mouth. She’d never know when it was going to be something important, so she was constantly on alert. Although, to Kiki, everything Jack said was important already. Jack said Cameron’s name and Kiki sat up a little straighter, not liking his name come out of Jack’s mouth. She hated talking about Cameron, she really did. He mentioned the note they’d shared in class and Kiki nodded like it was no big deal, but of course it was. It was the first time they’d ever really had a conversation. It was a big deal to Kiki. The more Jack spoke, the more right he was becoming. Of course it wasn’t about love. No matter how much Kiki wanted to believe it, just to make things easier, it wasn’t true. They both knew it. Jack knew, Kiki knew, and even Cameron did. She—
Did he just call her beautiful? Kiki blushed crimson, smiling and looking down at her hands. She wanted to shake her head, to deny it, but she couldn’t stop listening to his voice. She wanted to hear everything he said. She couldn’t not pay attention to Jack. It was impossible. She smiled while he talked about pick-pocketing; she could see it in his eyes that he was a natural at it; that he loved it. And she loved it, too. The adrenaline, the feeling of accomplishment, the downright satisfaction; it was all there. He touched her then and Kiki’s eyes closed at the contact, smiling. She really did love it when they made any sort of contact. It wasn’t sexual; it just…made her feel loved. It was nice. He spoke again and her eyes opened slowly, smiling widely as he kissed her hand. There were times like these that made Kiki believe Jack wanted something more from her than just a friendship. But she couldn’t read him like she could her friends. He was so mysterious. She loved that about him, she really did, but sometimes it made her so confused. He spoke again, saying that he was glad he was with her, and she grinned widely. “I’m glad you’re here, too. My family and friends are obsessed with you, in case you were wondering,” she added, giggling and shaking her head. Really, it was ridiculous. Taj and Talan were constantly asking if Jack would play Quidditch with them, Claire was always climbing on him whenever they were sitting down, and her mother. That was hilarious. Maisy loved Jack. She didn’t follow them around or bother him a lot, which Kiki loved, but she could tell her mom really liked him. Kiki smiled widely at him, happy that he was happy.
The rest of dinner went by smoothly; they talked about their day, Kiki asked a few simple questions about pick-pocketing, and Jack, as usual, looked perfect in candlelight. She enjoyed her food, and for once, Kiki actually felt good sitting in a restaurant, just spending time with someone who wasn’t Cameron. That was the thing about Jack. It was like what Cameron should have been. What he could have been. They finished dinner and went to leave, Kiki slipping her arm naturally around Jack’s waist, enjoying his company immensely and not wanting this day to end. It really was perfect. Jack hailed a cab and Kiki stood on the sidewalk, slipping on her sunglasses, even though it was beginning to get dark. She couldn’t let paparazzi see her here with someone who wasn’t Cameron. They got in the car together, Kiki sliding in first when it pulled up. She gave the man the address, and then settled in for the ride. Looking out the window, Kiki leaned her head against the window, watching the streetlights slowly dissolve to trees. The ride back was quiet for the most part, but Kiki was okay with it. She looked over at Jack for just a second, catching his eye and grinning. The cab stopped and Kiki looked out through Jack’s window. Home. Kiki smiled as Jack paid the driver, sliding out after Jack and taking his arm. They walked up the driveway together slowly, not speaking. There was a limo sitting to the left and Kiki smiled, rolling her eyes. Mom had a dinner to attend tonight. Of course she was going to travel in style. They walked up the steps together, and Kiki looked over at Jack, not wanting this to end. She still really wanted to spend time with him. The doors opened and the two strolled into the foyer. Kiki spoke. “Are you tired at all? Because if you’re not, we could hang out in my room for a little---“
Oh, shit.
What the hell was Cameron doing here? Kiki dropped her arm from Jack’s instantly, like she’d been burned. Stopping in her tracks, she looked across the room at Cameron for another split second, and then he started walking. She looked once more at Jack, pleading him with her eyes to stay where he was. She took a few steps forward, meeting Cameron in the middle of the room. Kiki smiled awkwardly at him, closing the last few steps between them to kiss him softly on the lips. He didn’t return the kiss, just stood there. Kiki stepped back, her hands coming up to rest in front of her stomach where knots were forming. Cameron spoke then, his voice low, but loud enough so Jack could hear.
“Where have you been? You forgot, didn’t you? The white party starts in an hour, and we have to be there early to speak to the press about our relationship, Kadence. What the hell were you thinking? And what are you wearing? You actually went out in public like that?”
Kiki blushed. The white party. She completely forgot. Kiki opened her mouth to speak, but Cameron wasn’t paying attention. He was looking behind her. At Jack. Kiki took Cameron’s hand, pulling him over to Jack. They stopped just a few feet away from him, and Cameron slipped his arm possessively around Kiki’s waist. She grimaced at the touch, hating that she had to be in his arms when she really wanted to be in the arms of the person standing across from her. “Cameron, this is my friend Jack. He’s staying with me for the summer. Jack this is my boyfriend, Cameron.” Kiki smiled falsely, but Cameron just stared at Jack with some type of grimace on his face. Completely ignoring Jack, he looked at Kiki. “Come. We have to get you ready. I had Poppy lay your new dress on the bed for you. You can’t go anywhere with me looking like this.”
There was nothing more that Kiki wanted right now for her to just be able to stay and be with Jack.
But she had a job to do; a reputation to uphold.
A family to support.
