ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Cheyne Silverstone Age: 17 Gender: Male Year: 7th Celebrity: Kiel McNaughton
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: Cheyne has facial features that appear somewhat borderline between boyish and rugged. Either way his face is quite rounded, and he usually always supports a five o'clock shadow. His hair is of medium length, and is quite often framing his face when he hasn't gone to the effort of smoothing it back. His eyebrow is quite often arched, though this seems to be a particular trait to the Silverstone family. He has dark brown eyes that forever seem to hold a sparkle of something in them, be it mischief or good humour.
Physique: Cheyne is not as toned and muscular as most of the guys around his age seem to like keeping themselves, but he is by no means overweight. Even if he doesn't sport a six pack, he is definitely masculine in build, with the wide shoulders and the narrow hips. His skin is naturally slightly tanned, and during the summer months, it goes quite a deep colour. He is quite handsome in the rugged sense, but still maintains those boyish charms, and is quite a looker.
Personality: Cheyne is your average boy. Though he doesn't exercise fanatically, he does get out and about. He eats an awful lot, which probably accounts for his extra chubbiness, but then again what boy doesn't? He's a natural charmer and a flirt, but also a generally nice guy. He doesn't like offending people, or hurting them in any way. He's generally very optimistic, easy going and friendly. People seem to find it hard not to like him at times.
Quite confident and social, sometimes overly so, Cheyne usually goes out of his way to meet new people. If someone hasn't met him yet, they will have by the end of that term more than likely. He can be quite loud, a real party goer, at times. Yet, when his friends want to spill to him, he's ultra loyal and a great listener, always prepared to lend a shoulder to cry on.
Cheyne tries to avoid confrontation, and finds himself trusting people too easily. If someone tries to confront him, he'll do anything in his power to try and find a solution. However, if you cross him, then it can take a bit of time to win that trust back. He'd never admit to disliking anyone, for he's all for second chances. He has the gift of the gab and can usually talk his way out of a lot of sticky situations. However, if there's something he feel he can't solve, he just shuts down and goes quiet, almost as if he's running away from his problems.
In class, he does fairly well, when he actually sits down to learn and doesn't start gossiping at the back of the class. He always passes the subjects that are thrown at him, no matter if he enjoys them or not, and he seems to be a natural at magic. However, when it comes to relationships, he's not that good. His natural flirtatiousness seems to come through, and sometimes, being the red-blooded male he is, finds it hard to remain faithful, as much as he tries. This usually comes back to bite him, due to him not liking confrontation. However, when he's in a relationship, aside from the straying eyes, he usually gives his all. He'll always be there for them, and make them feel loved and wanted. He really is the hopeless romantic in that department.
Likes: - Socialising - Meeting new people - Girls - Lending a helping hand - Animals - Being the centre of attention - Eating - Parties
Dislikes: - Cruel people - Cold - Green vegetables - Confrontation - Betrayal - Anyone doing anything to upset his friends - Fake people - Being hungry
History: Cheyne's childhood was fairly uneventful. Born to a long line of wizards and witches, his parents died in a freak accident when he was a child. Cheyne is still able to picture it, there was a horrific car accident, in which Cheyne was the only survivor. However, everyone was certain that it wasn't completely innocent. The brake lines had apparently been severed. No one was sure who exactly would have a motive to kill them however, since they seemed to be in good stead with most of the community, and soon the case was dropped with a lack of evidence, apparently the brake lines had eroded from old age. No one thought that to be the truth at all, but soon everyone forgot about it. Except for Cheyne.
At this stage he went to live with his grandparents. He was tutored well from the start, and enjoyed learning as much as he did playing with his friends and socialising. His grandparents were quite loving and caring, and gave him all the support he needed to develop into a well rounded, confident teen. As a child, he did all he could to please his grandparents, and liked it very much when they expressed how proud they were of him, which was often. Though Cheyne, being your average kid, did have times when rebellion set in, he was nowhere near a problem child.
It wasn't long after that, that his cousin, Amberlea Silverstone, arrived from New Zealand. She was a bitter contrast to amiable Cheyne, and she often upset, bullied or riled him up, something he wasn't used to. Yet, at the same time this behaviour intrigued him, how she could be related yet so different to him. He decided to make it a mission to find out exactly why Amberlea was like how she was, and started following her around like a puppy dog, much to Amberlea's annoyance.
Cheyne started attending Hogwarts right from his first year. He enjoyed being in such an environment, and always turned out good grades, despite the fact his attention seemed to wander during class sometimes. He always wrote his grandparents once a week, and they wrote back. Everything seemed quiet and peaceful in his life, but he never truely appreciated it.
It was in his third year that he met his first girlfriend. He was head over heels for her, completely infatuated. However, she was also a friend of Amberlea's, and as she was prone to doing, she kept on coming between them, driving them apart with her lies towards her. Finally he was dumped, and he was completely heartbroken, and vowed from then and there he would never be able to forgive Amberlea. He learnt very well to avoid her, and anything to do with her, and this suited Amberlea just fine.
Cheyne and Amberlea had never been close, but coming to Hogwarts together and Cheyne learning what she was like had driven them apart. If there was one person Cheyne could hate with a passion, not only for what she caused in his relationship but also because of past happening, it was his cousin. She did everything to make his life misery, just because he was there. Therefore, Cheyne makes sure he stays out of her way and has as little to do with her as possible.
ABOUT YOU Name: Jasmine Years of Experience: 9 Sample Post: Taken from my most recent post by Amberlea
Amberlea lifted her chin, almost staring him down as he spoke. She liked to be the dominant one, and she always came off that way, body squared straight on, direct eye contact being made. Alpha bitch, as one would say. Often times she didn't even mean to be so...confrontational. Just her body language always radiated her confidence and the fact that deep in her mind, she always wanted to try and intimidate people. It was just the way she was. Even if she had the desire to, she wasn't able to change. It was permanently within her, much like the ink on her back. Forever.
Now there's one word which could have a lot of meanings, she thought. Forever meant nothing to her, a lot of people casually flung it around in conversation, yet no one ever meant it. That's why she laughed when she attended weddings or such usually. What was forever? Everyone was born to die, and even if you lasted that long, forever ended on the day of your death. It was a silly word, one which Amber scoffed at every time she heard it. She drummed her fingers against the window pane, her nails tattooing their rhythm on the solid wood. He actually seemed to become civil for once, nodding in agreement with her. Her eyebrow arched, wondering how long it would last. Apparently not too long.
She rolled her eyes as he teased her about her "feistiness", crossing her arms aggressively, and almost daring him to say more. He didn't at that stage however, using the chance to make his escape it seemed.
“Be right back. You might want to use my absence to flatten your hair, might I add.”
Before Amber could even come up with a retort, he'd disappeared upstairs. Amber clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. Oh, but that boy could get her all wound up! It's almost as if he purposely enjoyed angering her. It wouldn't surprise her, he'd seen by his smug grin, and the sly winks, that that was his exact purpose. One day however, she would wipe that precious little smile off his pretty boy face. If it weren't for the fact he was kinda growing on her as a friend, she would have done so well before now. Fortunately prior to that he had been rather civil as they became acquainted. Now it seemed the more he was getting to know her, the cheekier he was getting. Amberlea wondered if he knew the boundaries he was pushing, and just seeing how much Amber could get away with before she snapped. Whatever game he was playing, he had to be rather careful, or risk facing Amber's wrath. And once you were in her bad books, you had better watch your back. Amber didn't play nice, and her hatred was much more worse.
But regardless, she returned herself to the girl's dormitory. When she was there, she ran her hands through her hair (not to please him, or anyone else, she grumbled to herself), checking herself out in the small mirror. Reapplying some lip gloss, she blew a kiss to the mirror, before returning the equipment to their rightful place. Got to keep up appearances, she scolded herself, nothing to do with him. Why are you even thinking it then? A voice niggled at the back of her head, one she quickly squashed.
She grabbed a plush cloak, just in case their outing involved the outdoors, and headed back to the common room. Kalib was already downstairs.
"So, what's the plan?" She said, nodding in approval at how he'd scrubbed himself up. Other: Classically

Could you thicken the history section a little please? Otherwise, you're on the right lines, you have a good application so far.

I have now tried to pad it out a bit more. I hope you don't mind, but I also had a change of what actor he's based on. Hopefully this is ok. Let me know otherwise.
