{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name: Kennedy Rae Brennen Age: Sixteen Gender: Female Year: Sixth Face Claim: AnnaSophia Robb
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: For as long as she can remember, Kennedy has been called ‘beautiful,’ whether she believed it or not. With light hair and light eyes, she is quite attractive. Her porcelain skin, clear and pale as the moon, creates an unblemished canvas for her features. Her ice blue eyes are expressive, framed by long dark lashes that are free from makeup. Her nearly white hair hung to the middle of her back in soft waves, creating a startling contrast with her almond-shaped eyes. High cheekbones and a slim nose rest above a small rosebud mouth, normally curved into a smirk.
Physique: Kennedy stands at a whopping 5’3”, an inch taller than her mother, nearly a foot shorter than her brothers. Evenly proportioned, her legs are slim, as is the rest of her, but nowhere near what could be considered long. A slightly rounded belly (she had never been able to procure a flat stomach, much to her chagrin) sat above bony hips, one of which had a small tattoo of a paw print. With a small appetite, she hardly ever gains weight, keeping her slim body curvy and soft. She has small breasts and slim arms, dotted with a few freckles. Her feet are slim, with long toes and a birthmark in the shape of a star in the space between her big toe and second toe on her right foot.
Wand Type: Willow, unicorn hair, 10 ½ inches Wand Expertise: Transfiguration Patronus: Wolf Boggart: her brother, Quinn, lying dead in a pool of blood. Personality: Calm and quiet, Kennedy Rae doesn’t compare to her loud and boisterous brothers. Being the only girl in a family with six children, she was often left out, and took to reading as her refuge. She loved stories, being swept away, no longer curled up in her bed, but in a castle, standing alongside the hero as he cut down the dragon to save his beloved. Her voracious reading habit led to good study habits and good grades, pleasing her parents and giving her brothers a good target for their pranks, all in good fun, of course! Kennedy isn’t just a bookworm, oh no- she can give as good as she gets. When she pulls a prank- like the time she put a garden snake in her brother Job’s bed- no one suspects her. Why would the quiet, soft-spoken girl be involved when there are four other possible culprits, all male, all mischievous?
This view helps her get away with a lot. The girl may come off as quiet, but she is not shy, by any means. She is independent, and fully capable of holding her own against her brothers. The term “give them hell” describes Kennedy pretty well. Not one for much violence, she tries to solve problems by less physical means: hexes, pranks, and conversations, in that order. But, step on her toes, and she will break yours. Violence may not be the answer, but sadly, sometimes it is necessary. She would much rather use her mind to solve a conflict than her fist.
Kennedy is stealthy; she enjoys keeping a low profile. Not one for the spotlight, she shies away from attention, upholding proper social protocol but not attempting to go overboard. Controlling things from behind the scenes, she would gladly allow others to be in the limelight. That being said, manipulation isn’t really her thing, but she would resort to the tactic if she felt it was necessary. Being an observant person, Kennedy keeps her eye on things going on, storing the information she gleans for later, but keeping it to herself. She believes rules are in place for a reason, but sometimes it is obligatory to break them. After all, they are just guidelines.
Family is important to her; she is very close with her brothers. With only a few close friends, I guess you could say she has a trust issue. Everyone has an ulterior motive, her father always told her, you can’t be too careful. It’s a dog-eat-dog world, and by God, Kennedy is going to have the upper hand. She likes to be prepared for anything, always keeping her eyes and ears peeled, and staying out of the drama that infests Hogwarts like a disease.
Kennedy enjoys laughing. She is a normally happy person; she doesn’t go around and tell everyone. She keeps to herself, and minds her p’s and q’s. She is a good listener and has a very strong shoulder, if you should ever need it. Steadfast and loyal through and through, she will never betray her friends or family, but run like hell if you betray her. Her temper is legendary, and you will be hard pressed to escape her wrath. She is a determined young lady and nothing can keep her from completing a task.

History: Born on the first day of winter seventeen years go, Kennedy Rae was born five minutes before her twin brother, Quinn Ryan. Her parents had been overjoyed- a girl had finally been born to the Brennen Purebloods, after five generations of male children. With six children, their house was quite full, located in a small town outside of Dublin, but was full of laughter and love. Her parents, Colleen and Declan Brennen, were both wizards, and well liked in the Pureblood circles, often attending parties and bringing their well-behaved brood along. The children were well-known in their appearance, all having light hair and light eyes, just as their parents do. The lords and ladies, some with a nasty look in their eyes, referred to them as the “Little Brennen clones.”
Kennedy and her brothers (Job, 22; Robbie, 21; Patrick, 19; Ethan, 17; Quinn, 16) had learned at an early age the necessities of using proper etiquette at these events, the boys twirling their sister on the dance floor as gracefully as any adult could. Sure, the parties were boring, as most families left their sons and daughters at home, and Kennedy had to work hard to keep her brothers out of trouble; she didn’t want to disappoint her parents, who expected them to behave. More often then not, they did, but sometimes the boys were a little hard to control. She was always glad to never receive the punishment the boys got- the more mischievous they got, the more intense the punishment became. Instead of just no dessert for a week, it escalated to no friends over for three weeks, all the way up to no Quidditch for a month. Needless to say, the latter got their full attention, to which their mother wondered why they didn’t just start by taking away their favorite pastime.
Growing up in a magical family, where four brothers preceded her to Hogwarts, Kennedy was fully prepared by the time that magic age of eleven rolled around. Quinn could care less about the fundamental basics of magic, but Kennedy was determined to know as much as she could before she even arrived. When everyone was home in the summer, Kennedy would steal their books and climb a tall tree in their backyard, eyes pouring over the textbooks. She waited with bated breath for her Hogwarts letter, squealing in excitement when it finally arrived with Quinn’s own letter. Her parents had been thrilled, her mother a little weepy at the thought of her last two going off to school. “Growing up too fast” her father had said gruffly, pulling his little girl close to kiss her cheek.
Diagon Alley, while a familiar stop in London for the Irish wizards, always brought a feeling of excitement to Kennedy’s stomach, especially the day they went for her very first trip to purchase school supplies. She had been calm when being fitted for Hogwarts robes, but had been unable to contain her excitement at the prospect of finally getting her wand. Ollivander had been most gracious, and she had only needed to test three wands before finding her match.
After attending Hogwarts for five full years, Kennedy certainly felt that the drafty old castle was a second home to her. The house elves were efficient and friendly, the classes were challenging, and the grounds were her sanctuary. She spent many a clear afternoon nestled at the base of a tall willow tree, its branches shielding her from the bright sun, her bare feet splashing in the shallows of the lake as she worked on her homework or reread a favorite novel. The warmth of the school helped to ease the homesickness that she sometimes felt- not that she would ever admit to being homesick!
Sample Post: It was dark. A cloud shielded the waning moon from view, casting the area in shadow. There were no stars in the sky, simply a black mass of emptiness. The neighborhood was silent, no lights glowing in any of the small cookie-cutter homes that lined the street, no wind blowing the tall oak trees.
Carved pumpkin faces leered from porch steps, their lights dwindling in the early morning hours, some having lost their glow some time ago. Trick or treaters had long ceased in making their stops, the cool air a reminder that it was nearing the end of the fall season. There were no dogs barking, no loose cats, no signs of life anywhere.
Only the vividly green dark mark floating in the dark expanse just over the Potters house was out of place, creating a heavy tension that hung in the air.
Eerie was the word Sirius Black had decided on moments ago, his steps muted on the pavement as he ran towards his best friends’ home. He felt oddly disconnected, even as he faced this tragedy; his Auror training must have kicked in, keeping him focused and sane. How else would he be running, wand out, without losing his mind? Instead he was listening intently for any movement, any sound that could signal someone else’s presence. How could this have happened? It was the one thing that everyone in the Order had feared happening; come hell or high water, the Potters would be protected.
They were the Wizarding World’s last hope.
James and Lily had taken little Harry and gone into hiding- the house had the Fidelius charm, no one should have known! Sirius allowed his mind to wander, albeit not far, as he thought about the possible events that led to the Dark Mark hanging over their home. Someone had overheard the location. No, impossible. Sirius himself hadn’t even known; the only reason he was here was because he had been on call at the Auror Office, had been the first to apparate here, and had recognized the now-visible house.
Someone had told. Someone had given up the location- and now there it was, clearly visible to anyone. Sirius knew they were dead.
His heart clenched wildly as he struggled to quash his emotions back down. He didn’t want to think of that now, or ever. Sirius had to make sure the area was clear, wait for backup, and then comb the house for any survivors.
Standard protocol.
Sirius’s mind raged as he came to the only possible conclusion: their Secret Keeper. The very man that he himself had suggested, in order to fool the megalomaniac Voldemort on the true Secret Keeper’s identity.
What a fool he was. What a fool he had been! He had delivered his friends- his godson for crying out loud! - into the hands of the very man they were trying to protect them from. It all made sense; Peter Pettigrew was the perfect little minion. He blended in- no one ever paid him any mind, he kept to himself, and he had recently taken to disappearing at the oddest moments. Plus, his Animagus form was so small he would (again) be overlooked.
Mentally berating himself, Sirius had set up a perimeter, making sure the area was, indeed clear. He kept an eye out for the rat that he had once considered a friend, and seeing no one, he made his way into the crumbling house of Lily and James Potter, wand at the ready.
“Lumos.”
His eyes filled as he found himself standing in the front sitting room, Harry’s toys strewn across the floor. The small family stood waving from a picture on the wall, Harry sucking his thumb in his mother’s arms as James ruffled his hair and kissed Lily on the cheek. She was grinning, her green eyes bright with happiness.
They had been so happy.
Crossing into the kitchen, Sirius noticed the dishes in the sink, the lone cup of tea on the small wooden table. They had been attacked after dinner, right before Lily sat down with her customary cup of tea while James had taken Harry upstairs to get ready for bed. He had seen this ritual performed many times in the past year, had even helped occasionally. He rubbed his eyes roughly, clearing his throat. “Focus, Black.” He muttered to himself, forcing himself up the stairs where he knew what he would find in Harry’s room.
A few stairs were missing, and the rug on the landing was scorched beyond recognition. The door to the toddler’s room was a jar. Knowing what he would find, Sirius steeled himself for the pain and opened the door, wand held aloft.
What met his eyes was not what he expected.

Hi, Marie! Welcome to ISS, we're happy to have you here (:
Lovely application, there are just a few things that I'll ask you edit before she can be sorted. Firstly, Olivia Wilde has been sfced by a member already so I'll have to ask that you find another celeb to use. The icons at the top of the application of this celeb should be 100 x 100 pixels in size. Also, we ask that you keep with the alignment in the form and, lastly, that your display name be properly written (ie. Kennedy Brennan). Once you make those changes, I'll be happy to look over this again, thanks.

I hope the pictures of my "character" are what you wanted- I am a bit unsure about pixels and pictures, my sincere apologies for my primary post! I am at a lost as to how I missed Olivia Wilde being taken- I'm sure I am making a wonderful first impression!
Thank you for the guidance- I am much obliged.
