Just let me have my fun tonight...
Edgars footsteps echoed through the hallways of hogwarts. He was, as per usual being his normal rebellious and cheery self and decided that it was indeed a perfect time to go swimming or just simply muck around at the lake because who knew? Maybe Eddy could have another conversation with the resident giant squid? Or perhaps he'd run into someone equally insane as he. Either way, the eagle would be quite content.
The cool breeze hit Edgar's body almost immediately. It was rather off putting to his planned swimming session, in fact the weather entirely really did ruin such a thing! His nose wrinkled, expressing his protest against the elements. What a fowl way to start such a full day. He huffed and crossed his arms, his eyes scanning the deep horizon that glittered endlessly thanks to the calm body of water.
He really couldn't see anybody, and he guessed why - once again it was the weathers fault. Naturally he thought and scoffed, his short choppy hair swaying with the breeze.
Despite the seemingly negative situation he faced, Edgar decided to make do with the weather and continued to trudge down the hill which led to the lake. The softed pitter-patter of his scandals on the grass wafted up to his ears as he stretched, yawning softly.
He settled, finally, under a tree, the soft bark doing wonders for his back! He pulled out his sun glasses - even though he really did not require such a thing, and placed them on his face. Edgar then proceeded to wriggle his body around until he found himself comfortable - at last.
The young man crossed his arms and quite simply relaxed, waiting ever so patiently for company - if it would ever come. He honestly didn't mind being lonely but he wanted company - as did most people.
His breathing softened, almost so e appeared to be sleeping - he didn't have any trick of any sort up his sleeve but who knew? Something was likely to occur.. wasn't it?

where would we be if we couldn't dream? “That which does not kill me, only makes me stronger.” She scolded herself as she walked down to the lake, to practice her jive. Harper only knew that Ryan, her old dance partner, would only be happy to show her his new moves. That stupid muggle boy knew how to play her like a guitar, and it annoyed her. But he wasn't here – out of sight, out of mind isn't always correct. Crossing her arms, she looked down at the ground, continuing to speak only to herself and ignoring anyone that would be around her, if there was anyone. “Friedrich Niche said that, and Niche was no fool.” Why was she talking to herself, you may ask? She had a run in with whispers, so to speak. She had been working on her dance somewhere else, when someone began whispering and then looking at her, making her extremely uncomfortable. The things they could be saying were endless, and so was her paranoia, so she left feeling a bit disgruntled. Well, not so much disgruntled as talked about. Giving a light sigh, the Hufflepuff continued down toward the lake, wearing her robe and uniform under it. She was not about to get in trouble like her brothers. Harper might have looked proud, dignified, graceful, but she felt as though she just crawled out of a gutter in this world. Everyone was talking in a weird slang language and when she spoke it, it sounded so wrong, which made it so much more fun to speak. She didn't exactly know what most things meant, though, so she could be making a complete idiot out of herself and not know it. Giving up, she reached the lake, not noticing the boy finding his 'spot' on the tree. After all, when you mostly focus on the ground, you don't notice much. She sat on the ground, crossing her legs 'Indian style', and finding her center. Breathe in. Breathe out. She opened her eyes and looked out on the lake, seeing the light reflecting off of it so wonderfully. She took a moment to take it all in before rising without pushing with her arms. She took a step back, listening to the music in her head and finding the beat – and so it began. Harper walked forward, moving her hands up toward the sky, and once they were out as far as they could go, she put them down and kicked with her right leg twice, then did the same with her left. If she weren't moving, she was hoping, keeping her heart rate up as much as possible. “You have no one to lead you like a puppy anymore, Harpsie. Get your head in the game.” She knew if she could talk to herself while jumping, she was doing it correctly, meaning she wasn't over-exerting herself. And then, she purposefully fell onto her buttocks, and then sprang right back up, all without using her hands to help her. It was all apart of the plan. After a while of doing what she did first, she stopped, putting her hands over her face. “Wow, that was craptacular.” She fell onto her butt once more, and then laid down in the cool grass, the wind blowing over her, cooling her down. And so what if she over-analyzed herself time and time again? She knew herself best, so she should, but someone needed to loosen her up, and quick. She turned her head to the side, and there was some dude in sunglasses, just sitting there. She sat up, tensing up a little bit, as if ready to throw someone down and beat the crap out of them. “Hello.” Sure, maybe she didn't sound like that type of person, but she knew if someone wanted to do the same to her, she needed to keep her guard up. Though, the boy was kind of cute, she wasn't going to do any flirting. That got you pregnant. Or so she was taught. And then, it hit her – get out of your comfort zone. Standing up, she walked tall and poised over to the boy, looking down and him and smiling. “Care if I join you?” Her heart was pounding and her head kept screaming don't do it, but deep down, she knew she had to – she had to stop being the weird charm school girl.

Because you can't stop the motion of the ocean...
Edgar was busily occupied with his thoughts, he had extracted a small piece of parchment and begun to draw the lake on it. It was a hobby Eddy had taken up over the summer, but he did always enjoy drawing.
He tapped the quill on his forehead, deciding that with the sunglasses still sitting snugly on the bridge of his nose, he would not be able to see a single thing he was drawing so he quite simply gave up - figuring he could finish the beginners sketch at another time.
So Edgar was left with his thoughts, enjoying the cool breeze which whipped gently around his frame, caressing his being and making him relax. A small smile hung on his features as his head tilted back and looked up at the sky. The small, meager actions had allowed him to find a haven in his solitude. It was a strange sensation but a good one none the less.
The soft echoing of footsteps lifted the young man from his thoughts. His eyes fluttered open - the sunglasses still clouding his vision as he peered around, looking almost desperately for the source of the noise - perhaps he was simply imagining it. No he thought something was definitely there. He was reassuring himself, his thoughts pulling at his mind to simply give into his relaxing state once again.
Deciding to investigate the noise, Edgar slowly begun to push himself up from his 'spot' and looked around wildly, but saw nothing until he heard a soft voice fill the air.
“Friedrich Niche said that, and Niche was no fool.”
He had spotted a blonde girl only ten or so meters away from him. A simple smile erupted - pulling at his face until his mouth displayed his eagerness. He once again seated himself in his 'spot'. Edgar was quite interested in what exactly the girl was babbling on about. He pursed his lips and simply listened and watched as the girl rose and did a series of moves before falling flat on her buttox. His eyes widened and he went to scramble up to help the girl - but alas she did not require his help, she simply bounced back up.
“You have no one to lead you like a puppy anymore, Harpsie. Get your head in the game."
The very sight amazed Eddy, he watched her continue her 'routine' in slight awe - what was she doing? Even Eddy who had a fond admiration of muggles and their gizmo's and gadgets had no clue what this blonde was doing.
When the girl turned and spotted him, Edgar had already slipped the glasses back onto his nose and was casually looking towards the heavens, minding his own business. A silly grin was never the less plastered on his face and it only grew when he heard her voice yet again.
“Hello.”
"Hey" He replied, simply - his face brimming with excitement. He pulled the glasses down slightly, so his eyes made contact with her own. She seemed to e inwardly debating with herself, as if talking to him as definitely the wrong course of action.
“Care if I join you?”
Edgar shook his head and grinned his silly little grin "I care not" he decided that today he would attempt to talk in the most formal of ways, shakespearian if he felt up to the challenge. "And whom do I have the absolute pleasure of conversing with?" he added, the formality in his voice of course had a mocking undertone - he was not making fun of her, hardly, he was quite simply making fun of society.
His body edged to the left, creating enough room for her to take a place besides him. She was quite beautiful, but Edgar was not one for flirting - he quite simply did not get it, he could never really pick up on how to flirt. Or why there was any point. He presumed he was too cool for such an endearing task, but the fact remained that he had simply not found anyone who sparked his interest, but would his girl be different? Well it would all depend on her response to his personality.. could she handle his idiotic ways?

call us freaks, but that's just the way we roll When he tipped his sunglasses to make eye contact, she looked down, away from his gaze. That was a little bit too much for her to bare, but she stayed there, gripping her hands in front of her as she tried not to get too nervous. When she got extremely nervous, she threw up and she didn't want him to think she's some nervous wreck. When he answered, though, she felt a little bit better, even if he was just greeting her in response. His voice soothed her slightly, and her grip on her hands lessened, though it was still there. Her heart rose in her chest at his new comment – was he like her?! The very thought made her hands drop to her sides and she plopped herself right down next to him, smiling broadly and forming a reply in her mind. Quite a change of pace. “I am Harper. Harper Lawless. Do not allow the last name to fool you, though.” It was quite comforting to believe someone was like her – it got her to be someone completely different, knowing she wasn't allow in this crazy mixed up universe. “And who might you be?” She still didn't make eye contact, though. She wasn't that confident in the fact he'd accept her yet, and until she knew that much, she wouldn't look him in the eye. Harper kept reminding herself to breathe, sadly, while looking down at the ground, still smiling quite broadly. She still couldn't believe that someone might have been through the hell she had been through. Or...or maybe he was just joking around. Maybe he was just being polite? He did seem like he was mocking something, but she couldn't put her finger on it. She got a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach, and she wrapped her arms around it in response. Oh lord, not here – not now. Taking a deep breath, she looked over at him, but never making complete eye contact. He seemed very nice. Perhaps she had found a new friend? “I think I've seen you around....before.” She had a bit of a delayed response, a bit nervous now. She was so moody. Harper needed to calm down, or she'd go blind before she was thirty. He didn't need her high-strung attitude bringing him down, so she thought. He seemed like the type that didn't care or acted like they didn't care about what other people thought, so maybe he could bring her blood pressure down. Or, help her out in some way. Sighing lightly, she made the biggest decision of the year for her. She looked right into his eyes, trying to hold it for at least two seconds. “Uh, sorry if I seem..nervous. I do not get out enough. Mother tells me I will be blind before I am forty if I do not lighten up a bit.” With the last statement, she let out a soft laugh, trying to lighten her mood a bit, trying not to lay it on too thick. Harper crossed her legs, looking out at the lake , staring into the blue hued water along with the flecks of color that came from what light was on it. She sat on her hands, trying to keep herself calm, or the appearance of what she thought calm was. This was her first encounter with someone this year that she didn't know before – she couldn't mess it up too badly or she will lose confidence for like, ever. How could a dancer and Church singer act this way? Like she had never been socialized before? She didn't know how to act in the world of adolescence, and she was stumbling through already. Shutting her eyes, she took in a silent breath to calm herself, and it worked fairly well, This was turning out pretty well, if she would let go of her insecurities. He seemed accepting enough. If only she wasn't so paranoid and cared what people thought. If only.

Bet On It...
Upon tilting his sunglasses to obtain a better view of the blonde who stood before him, he raised an eyebrow, curiously eying her reactions. It was quite bizarre to Edgar but then since when was anything normal? her reactions seemed to pile on top of each other building to a decision, it was like she couldn't decide whether Eddy was a threat or otherwise.
Edgar simply smiled, amused by her baffling transformation until she finally settled. He noted that when he added his friendly comment, she appeared to steadily relax - which he was adamantly glad for.
“I am Harper. Harper Lawless. Do not allow the last name to fool you, though.”
Eddy grinned foolishly. He laughed and gave her a friendly wink "Gotcha" So maybe Eddy couldn't keep up his latest mocking sentences. Who could blame him, it required so much thought and effort to uphold his formal tongue, effort that Eddy would much rather use doing other things.
“And who might you be?”
"The name's Edgar Bones, but please do call me Eddy or Bonesy.. heck you could even call me Estevan and I'd answer" That much was at least true, Eddy was always aware of people around him and for some odd reason, he could tell if someone was trying to talk to him but whether he'd reply was another question.
The ravenclaw was usually tied up with someway to annoy or mock someone or something. He liked bending the rules, finding loop holes in everything people said - especially professors. It was a way to keep Edgar entertained. Most people often replied with Why not just focus on school Ed He would simply shrug it off and move on. He cared not to dwell - why do such a thing when their were so many more amazingly awesome things to do? Like feeding the giant squid cookies.
Edgar noticed that Harper still did not make eye contact, so in a desperate attempt to loosen her up a bit, he wrinkled his nose and put his hand on his cheek "Do I have something on my face?" he asked, and threw his arms into the air "Ah such tragedy, I cannot woe the fair maiden!" His goofy smile highlighted his face as he turned to look at Harper and gave her a sly wink.
“I think I've seen you around....before.”
"I believe I have seen you too, Harper" He pursed his lips and smiled "Harper, such a lovely name. Suits you, you know" Now he knew he was stating the obvious, but she had triggered his happy-go-lucky personality - all signs of his relaxed state now vanishing into thin air.
“Uh, sorry if I seem..nervous. I do not get out enough. Mother tells me I will be blind before I am forty if I do not lighten up a bit.”
Eddy ran a hand through his strikingly messy hair and messed it up even more. He simply shrugged, really not minding her nervous behavior "Its no worries really" He said coolly, inspecting his sunglasses for any sign of dirt or scratches. "lets just hope you don't go blind aye?" Ed laughed along with her and continued to grin - it just wouldn't leave his face.
The breeze lessened slightly, the weather seemed to be picking up and so Eddy pondered whether he could in fact go for a little dip in the water after all. Best not he thought Can't just pick up and leave her alone He nodded to himself and laid back; Ed's arm brushing lightly against Harper. He smiled as she looked his way and loved the fact she could look in his direction freely now. He had hoped their small talk would loosen her nerves, make her more relaxed and hopefully... hopefully she'd open up to him.

you've got moves, i've got shoes - lets go dancin'. When he winked at her, Harper felt a slight shiver spasm through her spine. She had never really been treated this way by someone her own age. All the nice people were old, but even they were creepy. Especially the men – oh, the men were the worst. She knew they had their sick sexual fantasies- And it was there she slapped herself in the face. She didn't care if it hurt or if Eddy thought she was self-destructive. She NEEDED to stop being so negative and so high-strung. She took a deep breath and looked over at Eddy, smiling softly as she tried to socially recover from what she just did to herself. It needed to be done sooner or later, and it seemed like the perfect time. Eddy told her to call him something other than his real name, and she began to ponder on it. Why in the world would someone not want to be called their real name? People called her many variations of her name and she hated most of them, seeing as they didn't know her well enough in her mind to do it, but if he really wanted her to, she would. “Okay. So I could call you something along the lines of Bonbon and you'd be okay with it?” Now, the real Harper was coming out of the shy mask of doom. She looked back down to the ground, still needing that kind of security, and he did it – he made her laugh. It wasn't one of those fake laughs you normally get out of her, but a real laugh. “You do not. I just – just can't look people in the eyes.” Well, this is normally. For him, she could, but not for very long. At least, not yet. He was bringing her out slowly, and it made her immensely happy. She noticed the wink, and again, the shiver went down her spine. Darn it all, boys got to her too easily. Some celibate she was, huh? “I am not so sure about my name. People can be quite cruel with it.” Many people knew, at least from rumor, that she wasn't planning on 'sexing up' anyone any time soon, and so, they harshly refer to her as 'Harpy', which is also connected with succubus which ultimately goes against everything she stands for. This boy was turning out to be very nice, very interesting – she was lucky she took the chance. As they stared out on the lake, Eddy's arm brushed her, and she looked at him, brow raised and a smirk formed on her mouth. She nudged him, trying to initiate some form of playing here. After all, if she wanted to be his friend, she obviously had to be pretty fun. And so far, she didn't think she was. Odd, maybe, but not fun. Funny looking, sure, but not funny. Harper began to think of her old friends, how she and her diaper buddy Ducky would sing. Ducky was a guy, and boy, was he the best boy ever. During this last summer, she went back to him and they sung about how they were 'big, blond, and beautiful.' So, needless to say, she wasn't this painfully shy little weenie she played herself out to be the first few moments. She looked over at Eddy, snorted as she laughed a bit. “You ever make a song up on the spot?” And her vocal diction had just left her, her street coming back out, at the very thought of her less proper friends. And she hoped that Eddy would one day be one of them, if he wasn't destined to be one now anyway. In her mind, he was stuck and had no choice – he was growing on her.

{{She'll be back into my arms once more for sure...}}
Eddy noticed her shivering and frowned "Are you cold?" he asked, not thinking it was a result of his winking. He shrugged off his jacket and fondly offered it to her. "here, it'll keep ya' warm" He grinned and shifted, snuggling back into the tree. In all honesty, Eddy had no idea whether he was flirting with her or simply joking around - and by that he meant just playfully talking with her. Because Eddy truly didnt know what flirting was, he had no indication to believe his joyful words were infact leaning towards some form of relationship - other then friendship - although mind you, he wouldn't have minded something that went beyond the normal friendship barrier.
Remembering his past, Eddy realised that he really hadn't had much luck with girls at all. Everyone he seemed to date could not handle his spontanious and rather random behavior. Every relationship to him was like a ticking time bomb , with him often wondering just when it would explode - it had happened on more then one occasion, but thankfully he had remained friends with most people he'd dated. Eddy wasn't one for swore spots.
“Okay. So I could call you something along the lines of Bonbon and you'd be okay with it?”
Eddy had that cheesy little grin on his face as he looked at her. "Yep o'course" He ran a hand through his hair again, something to do, he proposed to himself. Eddy watched patiently as her smile slowly - ever so slowly formed a grin with turned into a laugh, a hearty one at that. "Brilliant" he exclaimed. He had successfully made her laugh - what joy! Now to cross that off of the list he thought.
“You do not. I just – just can't look people in the eyes.”
"Thats understandable" he replied, not pressing the matter - he thought it would be rough ground to tread on, and Ed preferred more then anything to avoid upsetting people - even those he disliked, but no, Eddy never hated.. least he tried not too.
“I am not so sure about my name. People can be quite cruel with it.”
"Well then we'll just have to go to muggle London, buy us some spork's then settle that matter aye?" Eddy's proposition was rather odd, but he intended on sporking anyone who hurt Harper. She seemed nice and he was rather willing to protect her! He smiled kindly and nudged her back "Oh I see.. trying to start something are we" Ed smirked back at her and begun to tickle her. Oooh revenge time! Squee
“You ever make a song up on the spot?”
"naturally" Eddy nodded and winked "But I'll save you the embarrassment of me serenading you" He grinned and laughed, leaning slightly on Harper he tapped his nose "You are really quite comfortable you know" He commented randomly, shifting slightly so he didn't hurt her.

i know we get a little crazy and i know we get a little loud. “Are you sure?” She didn't want to take his jacket, if she wasn't all that cold, but he had offered it to her, and so, she thought she might a swell take it. Harper really wondered if people would see it and think the wrong thing. The wrong thing would be that she and he were something when they were really nothing, right? Harper didn't date. She and boys didn't add up or even equal, and she wouldn't be trying to get anywhere with one. That doesn't mean she was never hit on before – she just couldn't tell if she was being hit on. That was the bad part. What was a foxy mama, any way? Who even said that? Stoners? Shrugging it off, she looked at Eddy again, SO, he'd allow her to call him Bonbon. Well then, she'd just have to take him up on that offer. “Righto Bonbon. I'll make it a point to yell that out every time I see you.” She smiled like she was kidding, but she really wasn't – she wanted to either embarrass him, or just embarrass herself and not care what everyone else thought, because this was her friend. He wouldn't mind her being an idiot, right? Because when she laughed, he seemed pretty happy. Why was he so excited about that, of all things? I mean, it was just a goofy little outburst, nothing special. It happened all the time, well, with other people, right? Ah well, lets just let it roll off. He understood that she couldn't look people in the eyes – yay. That made her incredibly happy, you don't know even know. Though, he didn't press the issue, which also made her quite ecstatic as well. Sighing lightly, the blond looked down for the first time in a while, picking a blade of grass and ripping it in a ton of little bits, trying to think of something to make her side of this conversation a little bit interesting. And that is when he spoke of sporking someone who made fun of her name, or so she thought. The very idea, it seemed quite fun. “Ya know, that sounds like a plan. “ She did really enjoy the thought of getting back at the people who made fun of her and her name, as unladylike that is. See, it wasn't that people scared her. No, she thought most were around the shallow end of the gene pool and she could stand in a puddle of them and not get wet. It is the interaction that got her every time – she was socially inept. I bet you couldn't tell, right? I mean, she hides it so well. And then, he nudged her out of her thoughts, and right when she came back, she was mercilessly tickled. She began to laugh, really laugh, because she was quite ticklish. “You're going to get it now. C'mere.” She wrapped a arm around his neck, and began to give the boy a light noogie. It was all in the name of good fun, and she hoped he'd know that and not get too mad at her for messing up his perfectly messy hair. “Who says I wouldn't want someone to serenade me? It'd be quite the change of pace.” Then he leaned against her, though it didn't hurt at all. “Ya know, I didn't know that. I should get people to pay to rest on me, huh? Though would that make me a prostitute?” While speaking, she smiled and looked down at him, wondering if he was always this random. She liked it, actually. It had to be the fact that she was attracted to something out of her normal and he was definitely it. She had to get to know this kid better – it would probably only get better. That was the theory. She felt almost comatose, even if she was really just acting like a normal person now, and it was this kid's fault. At last, she was beginning to accept other teens.

{{You can't stop the beat}}
“Are you sure?”
"Quite positive, I wouldn't have given you it otherwise" Edgar smiled and chuckled, shaking his head side to side as she finally accepted his jacket. "it doesn't stink I swear" he reassured, adding it as an after thought as to why she wasn't accepting the jacket. He draped it around her and winked "There, no you'll be all snug" He teased "Besides who doesn't want a little Eddy on them aye?" he added, still in a teasing tone - but not in a mean way. Oh no, he;d never be mean to Harper, she seemed like she got enough of that anyway.. not that he would tease her regardless.. and this rant really needs to stop.
“Righto Bonbon. I'll make it a point to yell that out every time I see you.”
"Brilliant" he replied, rubbing his hands together as if a plot was forming in his mind, which it was of course not cause he was distracted by her lips. Edgar for one was loving the whole concept of friendship they now seemed to share. He loved having a vast variety of friends that he could talk to, more variety the better, he always thought, as having so many different people with different personalities by his side or on his list was something worth achieving for every person he knew he gained a better insight into the reality of society and if it was one thing Edgar loved, it was figuring out how peoples minds worked and the reactions he got from different things he did to either provoke or entertain them. Sometimes things backfired but that was only natural.. was it not?
“Ya know, that sounds like a plan."
"Psh o' course it is, its me remember" He grinned widely and added the usual goofyness for added effect. He eyed her hair mischievously, wanting ever so badly to do the same to her, to ruffle her perfect curls which just seemed to fall gracefully onto her shoulders and cascaded down her back. Oh how unfair for her, all he was stuck with was his boyishly cute messy hair - which was now even messier thanks to her noogieing. He blew a stray bit of hair out of his eyes and pretended to glare at her. A grin was plastered on his face as he thought his mischievous thoughts.
To ruffle or not to ruffle - that was the question.
Wait wait wait.. lets back up now.. when did she noogie him?
“You're going to get it now. C'mere.”
He gasped out of pure shock and grasped his hair, wailing melodramatically "Gee gods, my beautiful hair shall never be the same again" He pouted and crossed his arms "Your so mean to me" his lip quivering as he pretended to wipe an invisible tear from his eye.
Who says I wouldn't want someone to serenade me? It'd be quite the change of pace.”
"I believe the giant squid, or namely, squidward, speaks for us all in this occasion, that if I were to sing to you my love - he said this part with extra, added drama - i believe your ears would bleed. That doesn't sound too pleasant now does it?" he questioned, eyebrow raised.
Eddy then snuggled up to her, his head resting on her shoulder, his eyes beaming as he grinned innocently at her.
“Ya know, I didn't know that. I should get people to pay to rest on me, huh? Though would that make me a prostitute?"
"never my dear, but alas I would go broke" he replied, burying his head in her shoulder. Ah he could just fall asleep she was so cuddley. "I dub you my new teddy, fraid your gonna have to sleep in my bed with me now. What tragedy for you huh?" he grinned and looked up, keen to see her reaction, for he said that sentence with the utmost seriousness. When well as much as he would have loved that, he thought it might raise questions from the guys and as an added bonus, he thought it would indeed scare her - such a pity.

sticks and stones won't break my soul. “I don't want you getting a cold or something because of me, BonBon.” Though, no matter how much she protested it, he draped it around her and practically tucked her in. Harper sighed and just smiled, giving in and accepting the jacket. “That was my fondest dream, so have a bit of you on me. Get out of my head.” Friendly sarcasm dripped through that sentence, just messing with him. This kid was just too awesome. He could bring her out of her shell quite easily, which told her she needed to try and befriend the more outspoken people or the people that come up to her. She, of course, tried to make friends with everyone, but never really went up to anyone, meaning they had never come up to her. If you want something done, do it yourself. But then again, she had a feeling that Bone boy would have come up to her if she hadn't gone up to him, so maybe it just depended on the situation. Eddy looked like he was forming a plan in his head, but Harper attempted to ignore it and not ask what he was thinking. She had a feeling she wouldn't like his answer, probably because it most likely had to do with making mischief. Though, his reaction to her noogie was priceless, to say the least. She giggled and acted so sorry for him. “Oh, poor baby! I am mean to you, aren't I? But, that's why ya love me.” She gave his shoulder a small pat, smiling confidently, like she really believed that was why he stuck around this long. She hadn't been this sarcastic or this playful with anyone this year, and it was refreshing to do so. She really needed to make some new friends, but Ed would do quite nicely for now. And she wouldn't forget about him when new friends came along – he was her first this year, and surely he knew she could appreciate that. Harper's face went from smiling to looking like she had swallowed a bug. “Not reeeeally.” She noted he said the words' my love' with a little bit of drama in his voice, making her expression change quite quickly. “Will I just have to take your word for it? Will I never hear the object of my affection let loose the poetry of his soul?” He shifted and kept his head on her shoulder, which made her feel a bit weird, considering she was like, eleven inches shorter than him. Almost a foot – daang. He needed to shrink, because she wasn't going to be growing anymore. “Well, you'd get a discount. Preferred customers.” She nodded like she had made the biggest decision of her short life. And then, came the serious joking. But, was he really joking? Harper's eyebrows rose as she looked down at him, the rest of her face almost devoid of expression, as she tried to figure out if he was really kidding or not. Deciding to act as serious as possible, which was quite easy for her, she smiled again. “Yes, so tragic, Romeo and Juliet can't even compare. Though, I suppose I can cope – after all, I'd be getting paid for it, regardless.” Wooow, that was suggestive now that she thought about it. It did make her think, though; was she attracted to him at all? He was quite handsome, but early on she decided to swear off boys. But they made it so darn hard, especially when they were this nice to her, never making fun of her or anything. In her mind, she would have it that all the girls were nice to her so she could just stay a virgin forever and never know how sweet and innocent-acting boys could be, but alas, that would never be, obviously. Eddy was just too awesome to forget now and besides, he was a looker, inside and out, so that should count toward something. And it wasn't like she planned on 'getting it on' with him, right? It wasn't like she was gunna have his kids within the next nine months. Shaking her head, she looked down at Eddy and sighed. “You're too nice to me.”

{{You can't stop the beat}}
“I don't want you getting a cold or something because of me, BonBon.”
"Do I have to kiss you or something so you'll accept the jacket. Cause you know I will" He just kind of let his thoughts slip out into the air and simply continued to act his innocent and crazy self. No time for awkwardness - Eddy was just too awesome for that!
“That was my fondest dream, so have a bit of you on me. Get out of my head.”
"naturally, it's every womans dream" He grinned and ran a ran through his messy hair in a desperate attempt to fix it. "cause you see, I'm just so lovable" he teased, cuddling up to her to emphasis his point "you know you want to hug me" he whispered, still the same tantalizing tone present in his voice. He opened his arms and pouted, giving her the cute smile and doggy eyes so she'd give in. It was bound to work.. wasn't it?
And now back to Eddys question;
To ruffle or not to ruffle?
He decided that it would be in his best interests to carry it out, cause he simply could not let her behavior go unruffled. It would be a crime not to act. So Eddy posed himself so his hands were over her head and proceeded to ruffle her hair. "Lovely sex hair Harp" He laughed and inched away from her, crawling slowly backwards down a large hill. Perhaps not the best of ideas but still an idea none the less.
“Oh, poor baby! I am mean to you, aren't I? But, that's why ya love me.”
"Of course, which is why your not going to tackle me down this here hill or I will be forced to take serious tickling actions" he responded, grinning cheekily.
“Will I just have to take your word for it? Will I never hear the object of my affection let loose the poetry of his soul?”
"I guess I could always sing for you, but I'll hafta buy you earmuffs first" he nodded in thought "Yes earmuffs sound quite fitting" he added as an after thought. He looked back at her and winked.
“Well, you'd get a discount. Preferred customers.”
"I'll still go broke" he replied, tapping his nose "yes most definitely broke, as I would be glued to you and your cuddlyness" Edgar laughed and smiled up at her - she was now taller then him as he continued to crawl backwards down the hill - he kinda looked like a demented or dismembered crab.
Yes, so tragic, Romeo and Juliet can't even compare. Though, I suppose I can cope – after all, I'd be getting paid for it, regardless.”
"What are you talking about? Romeo is sitting right here!" he exclaimed grinning ever so suggestively and rather cheekily "But are you my Juliet - I have been searching ever so far and ever so wide" he put a hand on his heart and sighed dramatically.
Edgar smiled ""But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." It made perfect sense really, quoting Shakespeare it was ever so romantic.
“You're too nice to me.”
"One can never be too nice Harp" He said simply, stopping his crawling for a few moments, wondering what was going through her mind.

into the rush now. “I suppose you will, because us big blonds can't accept jackets without getting paid first.” Whoa, did she call herself big? Oh, but she did. She loved to eat, darn it, and she was not going to disguise the fact that if she didn't work out or have a fast metabolism, she'd be a chubby little girl. Harper looked at Eddy, her head tilting to the side was he bragged on himself, it seemed to her, and she snorted lightly as she giggled to herself. “Do I really wanna hug you? I mean, boys have cooties....” She pretended to look disgusted at the very thought of wrapping her arms around such a species. Of course, she was just playing with him – it was their way, obviously. Just joke and poke fun at each other. But, when he touched the hair, he had so crossed the line. Giving a shocked expression, Harper looked at him and wagged her finger around. “Oh no you didn't. I will get you back, BonBon. Bet on it.”Eddy had begun to inch toward the hill, and she raised an eyebrow. What was he doing? And then, he told her. Was he kidding? She just assumed he was, because that goofy grin was still on his face, so she smirked and scooted towards him, walking on her knees. “Oh, don't tempt me, BonBon. “ She shook her head, her now messed up hair not fixed – at least she couldn't see it or she'd go insane. The one thing Eddy didn't know about her yet was that she had major OCD issues. Germs = no. Out of order = MAJOR no no. And then, he did it. He quoted Shakespeare. He had gotten her going now. “Romeo, Romeo – wherefore art thou, Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name...” Harper had read all of Will's works, and so, she could quote most anything. Unless it wasn't memorable. She put her hand on her forehead in a distressed manner, for dramatic effect until she looked down at him. He looked so silly, like a deformed crab that was constipated. She put a hand over her mouth, trying not to laugh because she didn't want to be mean or cruel to him, but it was just so hilarious! His response to her telling him he was too nice to her was a surprising one. No one had ever told her that, though her parents had tried to teach her. She let it go, deciding it was best not to drag her past out on him – besides, this was getting to be too fun to get depressing anyway. While he seemed distracted, her mind told her to pounce while she could, for the element of surprise. Though, he had acted like he knew she would tackle him to the ground, but whatever. She wanted to get him back for the hair, and this seemed the most extreme way. Smirking broadly, she growled light before jumping for him, getting her arms around his body, and it felt like they were going down – oh no. Down, down, down they went in the green grass, and it was quite a bumpy ride. Though, in the end, it would teach him not to mess with the hair, right? Or, was there some alternative motive here. That nagging feeling in the back of her head told her yes, but she could not be sure of anything her mind told her. She looked at Eddy for a moment before shutting her eyes, smiling and letting out a little yell as they went a tumbling. Free as a bird. No chains, freedom, no reigns.

{{That's just the way we roll}}
“I suppose you will, because us big blonds can't accept jackets without getting paid first.”
"oh you so didn't just call yourself fat!" he exclaimed, simply shocked "Why my dear Juliet? He poked her nose and laughed "someone's been reading that muggle play hairspray too much. Although I have always wanted to be link.. will you be my tracy?" he inquired, grinning.
“Do I really wanna hug you? I mean, boys have cooties....”
"of course you do. I'm an exception. no cooties you see?' Edgar grinned and lent back, still looking like a demented and apparently constipated crab. He was needless to say, having a complete and utter ball with her, her wit and humor never escaped him and he must say - it was wonderful to have someone on the same level as him.
“Oh no you didn't. I will get you back, BonBon. Bet on it.”
Edgar shook his head "nuh huh, cause you see I forgot to tell I'm actually superman in disguise, so you've got no hope" He laughed and inched back a tad more, the hill becoming more and more inclined. He turned briefly checking out the distance to the bottom - it wasn't too far but it wasn't close either, such trivial matters but ever so run to roll down.
“Romeo, Romeo – wherefore art thou, Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name...”
Romeo Edgar decided to do the whole "aside" thing, and dramatically turned his head to the side, staring at his invisible audience as he clutched his heart "Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?" Edgar returned his eyes to hers, his infamous grin plastered to his face.
He heard her 'rawr' softly and it was quite simply too late to do anything. She had pounced on him, taken him by surprise not that he didn't want her to jump him. He laughed as the pair clung to each other - rolling down the hill till they finally stopped - Edgar landing on top of her, his grin still hadn't left his face as his laughter died down. He stared at her then glanced at her lips, they were but a mere few inches away from his own.
Edgar looked back up at her, looking deep into her eyes, he subconsciously leaned forward, his lips grazing hers only marginally. "If I profane with my unworthiest hand this holy shrine, the gentle sin is this. My lips, to blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss." He whispered it softly to her, cooing gently to her, wondering if he should simply take the plunge, be spontaneous and simply kiss her.
His lips pressed against hers and his eyes slowly closed enjoying the soft caress the odd feeling of their soft skin touching each other. His hands were holding him up, preventing him from crushing her delicate frame as their kiss became more intense, both too caught up in the moment to realise just what they were doing...

the day I thought I'd never get through “No, but I did refer to my eating habit. Romeo, I love to eat. If I am not hungry, I'm more than likely sick.” He deserved the know the truth. Harper smiled as she watched him, tapping her nose, and asking her to be his Tracy. Was he joking? “You know it. But, what do I call you now? Romeo or Link?” She nudged him, smirking as she did. He was acting like he was actually being serious, what with all the flirting he was doing. Or, maybe it wasn't flirting. Maybe he thought of her as a gal pal and it was just some harmless fun. She wasn't any good at reading boys. “No cooties, eh? I demand that you take a test and get a shot against them just to be sure. You know as well as I do I can't have cooties – I'm too gosh darn perfect.” SUPEPMER. Ha, he thought he was superman too? “Well, Clark, I suppose I'll have to be your kyroptonite, then?” Harper felt like she was doing something that went against everything she stood for – flirting with a boy. It was inevitable that she would, seeing how she didn't do anything her parents taught her anymore. Unless she is nervous. He added more Shakespeare into the picture, and she smirked. "'Tis but thy name that is my enemy: Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face, nor any other part belonging to a man.” She sighed slightly, as if exasperated, still allowing herself be Juliet, like it would ever truly happen. She would always dream that her fantasy would become a reality, but it seemed so distant. After she had pounced on him, they went rolling, clinging to one another, so they wouldn't go flying off in different directions and hurt themselves – or that was what Harper thought. She had never had any inkling of what Eddy had wanted to do, or thought about doing, or what he was about to do. Actually, that's a lie. She knew in the back of her mind that she wanted what she thought what he was about to do. After they stopped, she looked up at him, sighing lightly as she relaxed into the thick grass, without his pressure on her body anymore. Though, that impact was a bit rough. Harper wondered what the little booger had planed, because he seemed excited about something, but what? What was there possibly to be excited about? But wait, she forgot – this was Eddy. He made a snail moving seem exciting. Eddy had leaned toward her, and she wondered if he really meant to do that. Harper needed to stop analyzing everything this boy did! But, when he recited that line, she knew what was going to happen. Oh, she knew it, she knew it! Eddy played the part of Romeo to her Juliet so far, yes? So why stop there? Of course, he wasn't – he kept it going, so she knew what was going to happen. Mentally, she prepared herself, her face expressionless as she shut her eyes lightly, awaiting that one thing that was being heavily anticipated. And then, softly, they came. His lips pressed against hers in an embrace she had never felt before – maybe because she had never kissed a boy before? - and she really had no idea what to do, but she was beginning to lose herself in the moment. After a good long while, she looked up at him, wondering how this happened. How did she slip up? Honestly, it wasn't a horrible thing, but it was simply weird that any boy would feel it necessary to kiss her. HER of all people. She wouldn't say anything though – of course she wouldn't. Her first kiss was going to be a good one, and darn it, it would be one to remember.

{{That's just the way we roll}}
“No, but I did refer to my eating habit. Romeo, I love to eat. If I am not hungry, I'm more than likely sick.”
"Oh a girl after my own heart" Eddy grinned and ruffled his hair, fixing it to its earlier.. er... messyness. Ed did have a thing for food, in fact he was often caught in the middle of the night in the kitchen scrummaging for food, and talking to house elves. And you know.. it wasn't like he went there to sing or anything.. cause thats completely un-Eddy like.
“You know it. But, what do I call you now? Romeo or Link?”
"I believe you can call me Romink.. You know the nice twist on the modern Romeo" He winked and laughed "But we must not forget superman so Supromink. Its splendid really" His awesome sheepish grin was back
“No cooties, eh? I demand that you take a test and get a shot against them just to be sure. You know as well as I do I can't have cooties – I'm too gosh darn perfect.”
Edgar wrinkled his nose and laughed "Well I guess I can take the test, but i'm telling you, superman is cootie free!" He exclaimed and forced her into a comforting hug. "hmm hugable too.. my your quite the catch aren't you?"
“Well, Clark, I suppose I'll have to be your kyroptonite, then?”
At this Edgar simply laughed "Oh your too cute, yes of course" he grinned at her, simly not able to keep that smile off of his face. "Tempt not a desperate man!" He knew it wasn't the right follow up line but he didn't quite mind, he simply eskimo kissed her and chuckled, loving their little shakespare game.
Their adventure really never seemed to stop. With the pouncing came the rolling and their long winding descent down the soft bumpy hill. Edgar was laughing, quite amused at their descent, it was ever so much fun to simply relive the days of his youth - spent rolling down long steep hills with his sister - with who he was starting to consider his best friend, but who knew perhaps more could be gained from this meeting?
Time past rather quickly for Edgar but the kiss lingered on his lips for quite a while after the pair parted. He looked into her eyes and smiled rather happily. He was pleased he did 'take the plunge' and do such an outrageous thing no matter how cliché it was! It didn't matter, the important thing was it did happen.
"Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged." He whispered the words delicately into her ear, before eskimo kissing her, then waiting for her reaction, desperately wondering if she would return his kiss from earlier, he was trying to tempt her to kiss him this time instead of the other way around.
