→ Gideon Prewett & Emmeline Vance!
Ohhhh my gosh. These.two.are.too.cute.for.words. I don't even know how to explain it, because honestly, it's all right there! Emmie is the cutest thing in the world, I think everyone and their mother knows that I adore that girl bahaha, and Gideon, Gideon! He's such a sweetheart in his bumbling kinda way, and he's such a little Hufflie, my gosh. Honestly, these two should the poster children of Hufflepuff. And paired together? I honestly have the hugest smile on my face whenever I'm reading anything with them, the hugest smile. I'm such a ridiculous sucker for best-friends-who-realize-they-have-feelings-for-each-other and these two just kill me with cuteness. There's nothing stereotypical about them, despite the classic nature of their relationship - whenever you start to think they couldn't possibly be cuter, there's always something more to just blow you away. It's such a nice refresher from all the angsty, drama-ridden characters who, although definitely fun, can be quite the downer. I keep saying lately that I really need something happy and these two? These two are happy. And they make me happy. And I adore them both to pieces for it.

Okay so, seperately, Gideon and Emmeline are theee cutest charries evar. Like seriously, I just want to pinch Gideon's cheeks all the time, the adorable, silly little (big?) buffoon. HE'S JUST SO CUTE. And then there's Emmeline who's another adorable little Hufflepuff with an attitude. And they're best friends and you would THINK it'd be cliche but the way Didi and Arti spin out their whole love (trololol) story is just SO ADORABLE that you don't even care because Emmeline just wants perfect and Gideon, in his own awkward way, is perfectly imperfect! Plus, did I mention they're uber adorable? Seriously? Gideon with his I want to hold your hand song, singing it even though he had no idea what The Beatles were, and they're just such an adorable couple and I can't wait to see what more Arti and Didi come up with because seriously? It's a nice refresher from angst and drama and what-not. They're just a nice, cute young couple who're exploring their first times with each other (at least for Gideon and not first times like that gosh they're only fifteen people! Then again, I do know about them magazines, Gideon -waggles eyebrows- trololol). Anyhow. They definitely deserve this award because it's obvious they like each other a whole lot. I mean, Gideon joined the CHEERLEADING TEAM for her. He SANG for her. If that's not true young love, then what is??

Oh, what can I say? These two RPers are absolute dynamite on their lonesome. Put together? It's an explosion of happiness and spice and everything nice. They're edgy, they're inside their character's minds and they work it. Gideon and Emmeline? Absolute adorableness. It's Huffies at their best, honestly. Sometimes I just want to die because it's so fricking much. You can honestly see Emmeline walking on clouds as Gideon keeps scoring positive points with his new girlfran and you want to roll your eyes at her, because she's that girl who has it all while you simply rot away. She's perfect, she's pretty, she's chipper, she's cheerleading captain and...she's blonde. Like, honestly? What more could Emmeline ask for? The perfect bloke to share the perfection with, of course. Gideon, oh, Gideon. That guy who simply can't believe his luck. The loyal, overprotective bloke who makes a best friendship take a turn for the romantic. The shy guy who managed to score one of the most talkative chicks at Hogwarts? How? The dynamic they run so smoothly on depends wholeheartedly on how Didi and Arti keep it up. Just when we think they've gotten complacent, they throw us a small loop. Just when we're just ready to say "OKAY YOU'RE PERFECT, WE GET IT", there's this thing that tips you off that there's more to it than you think. You can't discard them as the absolutely golden couple according to their house. It's the way Emme wants it so badly to work while Gideon is adorably oblivious to anything else except her and what she wants. It's the way Gideon is there for her, saying and doing all the right things, but surely nobody is that perfect? Surely he wasn't simply sitting around, waiting for Emme to notice it all? No. You may not be a fan of onions, peeps, but you gotta keep peeling back the layers.
It's not an option.
