INTRODUCTION
Group #1: Ravenclaw Sixth and Seventh Years Group #2: Slytherin Sixth and Seventh Years Discussion: Golpalott's Third Law
to be doing something in class today instead. And it caused him to sigh a little as he shuffled his papers in order, straightening up when he noticed students filtering into the classroom. "Hello class," he greeted with a small nod. "Settle down, settle down," he murmured, though it was more from habit than anything. Especially with such older students, who often seemed to think that their being upperclassmen granted them the right to disrespect their professors. Some of them, at least, he conceded, as there were quite a few that were simply lovely, that he would be sorry to see go at the end of the year. None that had quite surpassed the talent of his favorite pupil from last year's class, Miss Evans, but who knew, the year was still young. Plenty of time for students to surprise him last minute, no? And then there were other talents, like Miss Pryce, yes, she'd always displayed considerable skill as well, she was quite a bright girl - and from his own House! Smiling to himself, Slughorn coughed, drawing the attention of the class. "Today, we'll be studying Golpalott's Third Law. I've prepared some notes for you to copy down, you won't be needing your cauldrons today."

we don't need no education we don't need no thought control If there was one class that Amycus could stand today, it was Potions. He hadn't had Defense Against the Dark Arts, which, although being taught by a buffoon, were relatively interesting and at least informative. When in his future life, if it went how he hoped it would, would he ever need to know how to train geraniums or whatever shit he'd done in Herbology that day. It was ridiculous. A waste of his time, if you will. But he had Potions, and Prissy was in this class, and that just might make it bearable. No, that was a lie, if Prissy was in this class, it was definitely worth it. Amycus came into the dungeon, accustomed to the cold hardness of the air, since his bedroom was a few corridors away, and looked around at the students already assembled around tables. Nope, no Prissy yet. He sighed in disappointment, and walked over to an empty table, dumping his bag onto it and sitting down, staring straight ahead, whatever Slughorn was saying going into one ear, and exiting the other. Everybody else hadn't stood up to get ingredients, so it must be no experiment day. Oh, fun, note the sarcasm. Amycus sighed again and looked around his bag for some parchment. Of course he had none. He'd spent it all last period passing notes with Linwood, which also had been worth it instead of listening to Flitwick, but still, now he had to borrow some. Or just not take notes. He'd go with the latter, except he at least needed to pretend to be taking notes. Turning around in his seat, he leaned back to the person behind him - he didn't turn enough to see who it was, just hopefully not some Ravenclaw douche. "Do you have extra parchment?" he asked in a low voice, then looked up.
