They would be dealing with Blast-Ended Skrewts today. Admittedly, Hagrid was a little anxious about today's lesson. The other day, one the students had had to be sent to the Hospital Wing because he'd been a little stupid around one of the Skrewts - although Hagrid had told them to be careful, he'd been a Slytherin and thus probably hadn't been listening. While Hagrid had faith in the Ravenclaws, he was a little iffy about the Gryffindors. Still, since they were sixth and seventh years, he had a bit more faith in them (students matured with age, didn't they?) and thus was able to offer them his usual toothy from beneath his bushy bear, rubbing his hands together. "All righ', class, today I'll be teaching ye how to take care of Blast-Ended Skrewts. I'm trying to breed them, see. You have ter be careful and avoid the sparks." He peered down at the box of Skrewts fondly. "Beautiful, ain't they?" After a few beats of silence, he shook himself and beamed at the students. "All right', partner up and pick a Skrewt," he ordered jovially, looking at his class expectantly and mentally praying that this lesson would not end up being a complete disaster.
