He caught my eye while he was busy picking yellow sprinkles off his ice cream in Diagon Alley one year, and I just knew the moment I saw him doing that that we were meant to be friends. We hadn’t really spoken to each other before that, but I figured we could start that day! So I went up and introduced myself to him. I’m so very thankful I did this because if I hadn’t I wouldn’t know him as well as I do now, and that would be just tragic! He’s a very, very, very sweet boy and I love rather enjoy sharing a word with him as often as my schedule allows – which is luckily rather often, as we have classes together. He’s just splendid, and I had this crush on him, and it turned out he returned the feelings so now we’re dating! But no matter what, I shall always be friends with him. I never wanna give him up. milo SAYS: Gosh, Violet. I adore this girl and everything about her. Honestly. We met a few years ago in Diagon Alley. I was eating an ice cream with sprinkles at a table outside, and I was picking off the yellow ones because I hate yellow and I was really, really bored. Violet came over and saw me, and she told me that she hates yellow, too. Normally I have a really hard time talking to girls, especially really pretty ones. You know, like Violet. VIOLET says: Imogen is quite nice to me, really. She doesn’t talk as much as a lot of the ladies at our place of learning, which was kind of a relief. Not that I don’t like when people talk – I love it quite a bit, really – but the ladies especially have problems with saying mean things about people, and I guess I just don’t really like that. Well, anywhoozles, she’s a very trustworthy lady and I know I can tell her all about my silly brain without her judging me! She’s just so very sweet and honest and I enjoy being in her presence!
imogen SAYS: I think Violet is the only girl I've ever kinda felt like I connected with. We're dorm-mates, and there's this weird sorta quasi-friendship between us. We were only a couple weeks into our first year when she came right up to me and told me she had schizophrenia. I honestly had no idea what to say; I thought she was just different before, but never really associated with her outside of sharing a room and being in all the same classes. I wasn't sure why she chose to tell me either. But, I just smiled and said, "Oh, spiffy." I hope I didn't sound mean, I meant to make it a joke to lighten the mood, I guess. We run in different circles, so outside of class and sleeping hours, we're not together too often. At the same time, you spend five years with a person and you get to know a bit about them. When my dermotillomania started, she was the first person I explained it to. It wasn't just an obligatory "you told me about your disorder, let me return the favour" thing. Oddly enough, I just trusted her with it. She's a really sweet girl, and I think I get along better with her than any other dorm-mates. I like her all-right.

VIOLET says: FIONA! I have quite strong feelings of affection for her, if you must know. We’re not really similar, but somehow our differing personalities mesh incredibly well together! See, she’s younger than I am, so I didn’t meet her until my second year at school but but but it just feels like I’ve known her for so long! We can complete each other’s sentences and we always laugh at each other and she takes care of me all the time and that’s just so nice of her. Fi is a very kind-hearted lady and I thank Merlin everyday that she interfered Owen and I’s conversation otherwise I may not have known her as soon as I did! Ever since she got sorted I’d always thought she was adorable because she always had this big smile on her face, like her big brother. We’ve spent a few of our summers together as well which really helped us bond! She’s a great friend and I don’t know what I would do without her and her boy knowledge and her fashion sense and her musical abilities and her overall very wonderful personality!
fiona SAYS: It's simple, really. Violet and I? Best friends for life. Seriously. I mean...yeah. Vi's my best girl friend and just my best friend over all. I love her to bits, I seriously do. We met, like, near the end of my first year? So we've only known each other for two years, technically, but I feel like I've known her my whole life! Anyway, how we met! She was standing around with Owen and I, being the nosy little thing that I am, decided to jump in on their conversation (ironically enough, that's also how I met Owen) and we sort of just...hit it off, I guess you can say. I thought she was the most fascinating person I had ever met, seriously. She's just so...amazing! Plus, she's a genius! Seriously! I'm almost jealous of her intelligence, but you can never be jealous of someone who's so incredibly sweet! VIOLET says: I enjoy picking the bugs off of Tristan! For some reason they seem to find themselves attracted to his wonderful smell or his wonderful laugh or his wonderful personality! They’re always on him so I must remove them promptly, see. Anywhoozles, this boy is very sweet! We’re big hooligans whenever we’re together, of course! He’s so playful and I love that about him! He loves running up behind me in the hallway and picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder and just carrying me around – it’s quite fun! Sorta feels like flying! VIOLET says: Lord Conrad! Oh, mercy, I don’t even know where to begin with this boy. He just…he gets me in many ways more than one. I can't understand how anyone can be friends with her, really, because she'd forget who you are three minutes later and that's just not a very good basis for a relationship. She and I are similar in so many different ways and it's just fantastic because that means we spend lots of time together giggling and smiling and being happy and everything. claire SAYS: Vi! Aw, this girl is AMAZING. She and I are soooo similar, it's like we were destined to be friends - and how cool is that? It's crazy how similar we are I love it because it means we just get along so well. We share so many interests and seem to view a lot of stuff the same way, which is really great. VIOLET says: Jennifer Autumn is absolutely adorable! Oh goodness me, I positively love being around her. She's so smart - she can tell me all these things that I never knew, and I really look up to her as a friend! She's an incredible in the kitchen as well, and I love testing out all of her delicious food and baked goods. She's going to have a very very lucky husband, this one! jen SAYS: Oh goodness, Violet! She’s one of the several friends that I met through Brody his first year. Violet happens to be the strangest of the group, in my honest opinion. She’s crazy and bubbly and she’s always saying the strangest things… Like one time, I was reading an interesting book about wizarding cultures around the world, when she popped up behind me and started telling me about this time when her circus went to somewhere in Italy and the muggle world. VIOLET says: Oh Matthew, my darling Matthew! He and I are very close, you see, and I rather like that. You see, I believed Matthew to be a descendant of Henry Fairfax - they have similar noses, you see, and a very similar last name [ha!] so I figured it was definitely possible - and even though he's not, that question of mine sparked an absolutely wonderful friendship between us! He's splendid, really, and I just love being around him. He lights up the room with his charismatic Gryffindor presence! Oh and he's a writer, and I just love writers, so I particularly enjoy reading his work and helping him with it, you know, putting in my two cents. I think he appreciates me helping him as well, we're a very good duo, we are! I trust him with a lot of things, too - he knows a lot about me, and he doesn't seem to mind that I'm easily classifiable as nuts. Teeehee, I just really like this one, I do. He's just gorgeous, inside and out.
matt SAYS: Haha, Violet happens to be one of my favorite people. The first thing she ever said to me was: “Are you related to the great English Navel Officer, Admiral Henry Fairfax? I read about him once. He’s famous, you know.” I had no idea what to say. The one history that I haven’t had the chance to look up is my own… I laughed and told her that I had no idea, but I promised I would look it up when I got the chance. Since then, Vi and I have spoken quite a bit, and have grown quite close. She’s one of the few people that really listens and seems to understand what I’m saying behind the words. Sometimes, I let her see my writings from the notebook, and she critiques and praises me when appropriate. She even gives me the perfect suggestions and ideas when something just doesn’t get portrayed properly. She’s practically my editor. VIOLET says: Oh golly, don't even get me started on Miss Winnifred! She's an absolutely beautiful, charming, overall wonderful lady who was kind enough to befriend me. We were both in the Astronomy Tower one fated evening, and it was upon that night that we became friends! She was kind enough to share her blanket with me, and together we worked on our homework. It was an absolutely wonderful night, if I do say so myself, one I shall remember until the very day I pass into the great unknown! Wendy is very much like a mother to me, always looking out for me and discussing boys with me and just discussing life with me in general! She's so so so smart, so so so nice and she's just a really truly captivating person, you know? I could be with her for hours on end and never, ever, ever get sick of her, she's just that interesting. She's just peachy, really, and she makes a truly wondrous, outstanding, extraordinary friend. wendy SAYS: There is such a charm to Violet Stevens that a person can't help but just love her. She's the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and out. I met her up on the Astronomy Tower in my third year and her second. Once again, I found myself unable to sleep, so I decided to get some homework done ahead of time instead of cramming like I normally do. It turned out I hadn't even touched my star chart, so seeing that it was a nice and clear night, I decided to do that and sneaked up to the Astronomy Tower. Violet was already up there and it was a little chilly, so I offered to share the blanket I'd brought from my dorm while we worked on our homework. I have never met anyone else like her in my life: I don't know anyone who sees life the way she does, who loves people as unconditionally as she does, I don't know anyone as pure in heart and soul, I don't know of anyone who is as smart, or of anyone who is as creative, or as innocent without being naive, or just loves the world as much as Violet Stevens. She's like the little sister I never had and I love every little bit of her. I look out for her when I can - not that I think that she needs protecting, I just want to be there for her when she needs me to be. Violet is probably the one person I would only lie to in order to protect her. I just have no desire to lie to Violet. It would only hurt her, and I don't want to do that. IllianaSAYS: Oh. Violet. Well, I am not really sure how I feel about her. She and Owen are supposedly best friends but she seems to have some sort of edge toward me. Besides. She changes...constantly. I can never remember who she really is. And then she'll get mad if I call her Violet sometimes. I just never really know anything around her. Yes, I know I don't remember much but, its worse when Violet is around. I try. I try really, really, really hard. But still, she doesn't like me much. I don't know. Usually, I go along with Owen's judgement but, not this time. She really is nice, just hard to be around. I try not to think about it.

I read about him once. He’s famous, you know.” I had no idea what to say. The only history that I don't know is my own… I laughed and told her that I had no idea, but I promised I would look it up when I got the chance. Since then, Vi and I have spoken quite a bit, and have grown quite close. She’s one of the few people that really listens and seems to understand what I’m saying behind the words. Sometimes, I let her see my writings from the notebook, and she critiques and praises me when appropriate. She even gives me the perfect suggestions and ideas when something just doesn’t get portrayed properly. She’s practically my editor. She’s the one I can bounce ideas with and not worry about what I say. She’s amazingly wonderful to me.
