{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name:Emily Colben Age:Seventeen Gender:Female Year:Seventh Face Claim:Naya Rivera
Canon or Original?Original
Facial Properties: {one or more paragraphs} Emily does have a unique face. One wouldn't call it pretty, more so of a exotic face. She has dark black hair matched with rather plain eyebrows. She doesn't pluck, not really having any need to at all. Her eyes are a plain brown, though, rather dark. They always seem to be sparkling and laughing at something. Her nose is small and thin, having no piercings or anything spectacular about it. Her lips are rather thin, matching her slightly round cheeks. Her face is a simple heart shape coming to a point at her chin. Physique: Emily's physique is nothing to brag about. She's not particularly curvy in the bottom area, slightly chesty, though she is skinny. She stands at five foot six inches, with plain brown hair, usually straightened, and down her back. Her hair reaches about mid back, and occasionally she will put a strip of blond or black in it. Her hands are smooth, with minor calluses. She knows what hard work is and she's not afraid to do it. Her legs are long and thin, usually covered by her robes or jeans. She doesn't have much muscle, though she could hold he own in a fist fight, something she has wanted to experience for awhile. Wand Type: Deep cherry wood inlaid with a griffin feather Wand Expertise: Potions Patronus: Black Panther Boggart:Her boggart would be a seen of herself, alone and friendless in the world. Emily feeds upon her friends and mother's love. And it would kill her to be alone. Personality: Emily is a very kind person, her face all smiles and kindness. She always has a kind word for most, or a loathing stare for others. She prefers to be nice over mean, unless she deems that person deserves it. The main thing she brings forth upon friends is her kindness. She's a very loyal friend to those close to her. Going even so far as revenge to others who have wronged her friends.
To those closest to her, Emily can be quite mean. She seems, to those close to her,to harbor a mean hatred to muggle born witches and wizards. She doesn't ever let on to what she means, but she doesn't let her friends forget it. Usually in snide remarks, whispering gossip and such. It's not that she hates muggle born, it's just she thinks that she's better than them. But again, she never lets this be known publicly to those who are mere acquaintances.
Behind the bed covers, Emily is very passionate. She has already lost her virginity, though she believes it was a fluke, as she didn't really love the boy. She wants nothing else than to be in a real relationship where the two love each other and giggle over nothing. She's a hopeless romantic, thought she would never claim it if one asked. She is a avid reader of the trashy love novels, keeping a stash under her bed. She holds the thought of love and marriage dear to her heart, never wanting to divorce when she is finally tied down.
Among all her other traits, Emily is a very loyal and loving friend. She holds her passions to heart and her friends even closer. Upon making friends, she makes them for life and hates to lose any. She's honestly a great friend to have, there when someone needs a shoulder to cry on and when you need a ear to listen to. Despite her true hatreds, she truly is a loving girl. History: Emily Colben was born into a pure blood family of middle class estate. She grew up in a community filled with other children her age, all pure blood, though they were forbidden to talk of magic and all associated with it. Both of Emily's parents were extremely caring towards their only daughter. She was by no means spoiled, but was showered with affection.
As she became older, Emily can remember her parents fighting over which path she should take in life. Muggle or witch. Her father strongly supported that she should get a muggle up-bringing. Forget completely about witchcraft and start a real life that didn't include charms and spirits. Her mother, on the other hand, wanted nothing but magic for her youngest daughter. Eventually the fights got so intense that her father left, leaving Emily alone with her mother. She never really did see much of her father after that. He refused to to take claim over a daughter that preformed magicks.
Emily became very sad in the coming years, though her mother infused her with ideas of pure bloods being stronger and greater at witchcraft the muggle born wizards. Emily began to believe this and so it was infused with her thought, though she stood by her parents rule to never speak of her magical heritage. This was still in-grained when Emily received her first Hogwarts invitation, much to her mothers delight.
Before long, Emily''s bags were packed and her kitten, Willow, was all ready for the up-coming of her new life. Upon coming to Hogwarts, Emily soon made fast friends. She quickly found out that the school was riddled with half bloods, but wisely kept her mouth shut, and instead focused upon her new schoolwork. She soon found that her strengths were Defense Against the Dark Arts and potions. The years seemed to fly by as Emily, still made further friends, developed crushes, and found which classes she was not the greatest at. She's a bit of a wide spirit, ready to take actions upon others that deserve it. We now find Emily in her seventh year, ready for what the world can throw at her next.
Sample Post: Emily wandered through the dark halls, the tip of her wand aglow with a dim light. Her breathing was steady, but her eyes were darting in every direction possible. Her slippers, which she wore on purpose, for this occasion were making the lightest shuffle possible, and her robes hovered mere inches above the ground. Her other hand gripped a bag of assorted treats; caramel apples, chocolate, mints, butterscotch, and others of the like. Her face held a look of determination like one had never seen. Her lips were pursed together, not letting anything through. Her thick brown hair was tied in a tight bun atop her head, let some stray hairs get caught on anything, causing her to scream aloud.
As she turned a corner she thought she heard a low moan. Cat? Or human? One could never be sure within the walls of Hogwarts. She herself was not frightened by any cat, even if it was Filch's dust rag of one. Filch on the other hand, well that man simply terrified her. She couldn't quite explain it, but well, he was a scary type of man. Always sneering and growling, never a look of happiness on his face. She had vowed to her circle of friends that she would never be caught by the filthy old man, no matter her hi jinks.
Ignoring the light moan, Emily continued on her way, turning through the dim halls with expertise. She knew the class halls well, usually having to stay and help other kids with their homework, or for detention purposes. She wasn't by any means a 'bad' student. But...well perhaps she could do better in her academic career. Perhaps. But it was a choice Emily took with stride and she never seemed to matter much what people thought of her anyway. It was one of the traits she prided herself on.
She let out a low held breath as she saw the doorway she needed. A plain brown wood one with a silver knocker. Approaching the door, she turned left, then right. Her fingertips rested slightly on the heavy oak as she rapped her knuckles hard against the door, the only loud sound she made all night. She could hear movement inside. People walking, some murmuring quite loudly. Within seconds the door was slightly ajar and fearful eyes were peering up at her. She raised the bag quietly, placing a finger to her lips. The boys mouth broke into a wide smile as the door opened widely, allowing Emily to slip in.

Hey, Beth! I just have a couple of notes before I can sort you that I need you to fix!
Your history needs to be four paragraphs, and you're not allowed to mention what house your character is in since we're the ones who sort you accordingly, even if it's completely obvious what house they'll be in. Also, could you maybe flesh out Emily's personality a bit more? Give us more information about her or description, we'd love to read it! (:

Okay so I'm sorry but I still think you need to flesh out your paragraphs a bit more. I understand if it's a little difficult to go back and flesh out something you already wrote, but I'd appreciate it if you could try and at least make every paragraph a couple of lines longer so that they're all at least six lines? Thanks!

I'm sorry but as it's been more than a week and you have still failed to fix your application, I'm afraid this application has been rejected.
