Rabastan gets Vivienne to agree to meet him later at night only to take her as his torture victim for the evening. As a peace offering – of sorts, at least – to Narcissa he brings the young Ravenclaw along with him to the Shack where they proceed to hurt her both mentally and physically; later they erase her memory completely of the incident and drop her off at the front steps of the castle.

Faking sleep, Amelie lays with her back towards him. When she “wakes up” they push through the hardest conversation, and then the two sneak out of the Hospital Wing together.

Rabastan proves to be a little unwilling to ever speak to another Hufflepuff again but out of sheer boredom he decided to humor Anette and answer her summons. Rabastan is out late at night when he runs into Khai returning back to Hogwarts. Practically surprised into shock, he immediately goes over to her. They talk for a little while before Khai falls asleep. Rabastan scoops her up and goes back to the common room, where he lays her on the couch and falls asleep with her. In the morning, he goes back to his dorm before she wakes up.

Rabastan is out running away his frustrations; we he returns, a disgusting sight greets me: Jagger, attempting to rape his Khai. Lost in a sudden urge of anger, Rabastan tears Jagger away, and then, consequently subject to his own fury, snaps Jagger’s neck. In shock, the two clean up the common room and frame Jagger’s accidental drunken death. That done, Khai confronts Rabastan yet again about why he is always doing things for her, and finally, he admits: “I love you.”

Regulus approaches Rabastan to warn him about the interviews they now face because of Jagger’s death. Professor Godolphin is taking in Rabastan, Khai, and Alecto for questioning. Rabastan denies the story entirely, claiming there is nothing to be found. And in the story he’s made up for himself on the night of Jagger’s death, there isn’t.

Nameless girl, at first one-worded and alone and after some persuasion on Rabastan’s part…Khai agrees they should be friends.

A brutal fight erupts over Rabastan’s persistence in ruining Remus and Bella’s relationship before Tyson comes and breaks them apart.

Bella gets up to leave and on her way out Rabastan catches her – she rudely explains he’s to leave her alone, slaps him, and leaves.

There, he finally confesses he can’t continue to ignore her even if it’s “for the better.” It’s there that he finally resolves, permanently, to gain back Khai’s trust and hopefully love.

Their conversation turns into more fighting and eventually a defeated agreement to stop ignoring one another. It’s inevitable that they should be friends, and while not everyone is going to agree with it…they are going to try and figure out a way to keep majority parties happy. They head back to the common room, both exhausted, and go to the couch for a familiar nap session.

Wynter is finally confronts Rabastan about ditching her. He’d been trying to avoid her for a while now and finally owes up to being a bad date and leaving her and not returning practically ten minutes into the dance. Regulus Black, Rodolphus Lestrange and Jenna Edwards

While the three boys argue about who’s fault is what, Jenna stumbles upon the conversations. To “prove himself” over again to Regulus, he’s asked to erase Jenna’s memory. Rabastan obliged without second thought, however while performing the spell Jenna manages to block him back out again. The malfunction, instead of erasing that conversation, erases everything.

Officially on “just friend” terms Rabastan decides to sit beside Khai during potions. Both try to make it work but with the newest boundaries it makes things hard. It will take getting used to, and definitely be interesting trying to find their spot in one another’s lives, however: they’ll be doing it together, and that’s all either were really after.

Rabastan and Khai go outside, headed for the lake. Along the way they discuss a lot of things in great length, the biggest topic being both sides of the story to Khai’s month-long absence. Rabastan makes comment and the two argue for a short time before he finally gets up and leaves.

Rabastan’s irritated he has to leave at all, but has alternative motives for the trip besides his uncle’s passing. Without telling Khai she’ll appreciate his absence later, rather then sooner, they spend Rabastan’s last couple of hours together after dinner before he leaves for home with Rodolphus.

After the procession is over and the Lestrange’s back home, Rabastan sits up in his room for a time before finally going to see Rodolphus to tell him that he is marrying Khai Statton. The news isn’t taken well from anyone but his mother: Rodolphus laughs hysterically, Constantine couldn’t think of a worst possible scenario, the le Fay’s and Ashlee storm away from the manor. Rabastan and Rodolphus go back to Hogwarts Sunday morning.

Rabastan finds Khai in the common room and persuades her to come out in the pouring rain with him. More ridiculous yet, he asks if she’ll play hide and seek with him. She agrees, confused, until she begins counting and hears music after a few beats. Rabastan plays her a self-composed song, fumbles as smoothly through his words as his nerves will allow and then finally drops down to one knee. Heart racing he asked those four little words.

Rabastan makes Khai promise that she’ll stay back at Hogwarts, so that she won’t get hurt during the attack.

Rabastan and Mick are out in Diagon Alley for some “guy” time, but Mick notices a girl he wants to talk to and leaves Rabastan for a few minutes. In the meantime, Rabastan sees Isaac and strikes up a conversation. Isaac, however, is stressed out and quickly disappears on him, too.

Since being home Rabastan has only talked to his mother. He’s up in her room talking to Dominique as she gets ready to meet Khai. Once Khai arrives, Rabastan leaves and the two girls go out shopping. Dominique learns more about Rabastan and Khai’s relationship, approving on her daughter-in-law, but does bring up old, un-favored topics.
