{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name: Brynna Daynes Age: 14 Gender: Girl Year: 3 Face Claim: Torah Bright
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: {one or more paragraphs} Brynna has shoulde-length blonde hair, which she keeps neat, but never bothers doing anything special with. Her eyes are a green-brown colour, and don't show much emotion. She is pretty, but she doesn't really notice it. Physique: { one or more paragraphs } Brynna is always fit and healthy. She is a slim, strong girl, and her long legs help her run fast. Despite the time she spends outside, her skin is still light in colour. No matter what she eats, it doesn't show. She weighs very little, and cares very little for it, too.
Wand Type: Redwood, 11 inches Wand Expertise: Phoenix Feather Patronus: {no length requirement} Giant eagle Boggart: {no length requirement} Werewolf
Personality: {four or more paragraphs} Brynna is a bit of a multiple-personality person. One moment, she will be happy and smiling, the next she will be sullen and withdrawn. If you catch her in a happy mood, she will be much more plesant and friendly. She will smile and laugh a lot more, and generally be a nice person to be around. A bad mood is a sign to keep well away, if you know what's good for you. Unlike when she is in a good mood, she will not keep this to herself, and does not hesitate to turn any annoying people into a bug of some kind. As you might have guessed, she is a bit anti-social, preferring to keep to herself, and considered weird by a select few who dislike her. She finds it easy to blend into her surroundings, often going unnoticed, which she finds handy in uncomfortable situations. She is a brilliant climber, which also comes in handy. Most of her time will be spent in a tree. She finds pleasure in testing her skills in 'challenges' that she sets herself, mostly by sneaking past some obstacle or person unnoticed. This will often result in her breaking a rule or two, which she has no care for. Rules are there for people who care. Teachers are probably the only people she will respect, and she enjoys learning new things. If the lesson bores her, however, she will probably disappear in the middle of the lesson, while the teachers back is turned. How? By using that unusual talent of climbing things to scale the wall, and get away, probably into the forest. Prefects and Heads she sees as just more annoying people, but they can get her attention on occasion. She doesn’t really care for the rules that they set, though. If you manage to get to know her, though, she will open up a bit, and confide in you on her strengths and weaknesses, though this is very unlikely, considering how she has been let down by others she has gotten close to. Any friends would have to be very, very trustworthy to gain her complete friendship. Even then, she gets rather withdrawn with touchy subjects, like holidays, when there is no school. Brynna is a free spirit that cannot be tamed.
Likes: + Flying, though she doesn't think broomsticks are the best kind + Trees + Animals + Climbing + Challenges + Music + Her grey cloak, it helps her blend in + Trustworthy and noble people + Magic + Reading Dislikes: – People – Bullies – Evil – Swimming – Being told what to do by people who don't have the authority to – The orphanage – Vampires – Bugs – Overly happy people – Boys
History: {four or more paragraphs} Brynna was orphaned at an early age, and has no memories or information about her parents. She has lived in an orphanage since they died, and she hates it. She couldn't make friends with the other children, and she didn't want to. They teased her and stole her food and possessions. She had never had a good meal because of this, and tried not to get attached to possessions, because at some time she would lose them. The orphanage was built next to a forest, and she would run away into the woods for hours, climbing the trees and teaching herself to leap between them. Sometimes she would find berries or something to eat and gorge herself. After a few years, the orphan’s carers stopped noticing her mysterious disappearances and just ignored her. One year, she made friends with another girl who was sent to the orphanage after her parents decided they didn't want her any more. Brynna trusted her and told her everything, and they were an inseperable pair. One day her friend joined the bullies and told them everything about her. Several more times, the same sort of thing happened, which served to teach Brynna not to trust anyone with her secrets anymore. When the letter from Hogwarts came, she was told she was not to leave, but she was determined to get out of the orphanage. One day, when she was the vctim of some rather harsh bullying, she ran away into the woods. But instead of stopping when she could no longer see the orphanage, she kept running. She went into the city, which was not far away, and met a wizard who helped her buy her books and supplies, and to get on the train on time. She found living at the school easier than living in the orphanage. She hardly ever got teased, and there were plenty of places she could go to get away from others. The Room of Requirement was her most favorite place to go, because hardly anyone else knew about it, and she could find whatever she most wanted when she went in there. Other times, she goes into the Forbidden Forest, to climb the trees in there, though she has been caught some times. She likes to use her ability of blending in to slip away when she doesn't feel like staying in the school grounds. In the holidays, she tends to be found somewhere in Diagon Alley, or out in the Muggle world. She hasn’t been back to the orphanage since she ran away to go to Hogwarts, which suits her just fine. Brynna doesn’t enjoy the holidays as much as others, since she sometimes has to live on the streets, but she reasons that it is better than going back to the orphanage. She isn’t above stealing things while away from the school, and maybe at school too, on occasion.
Sample Post: {four or more paragraphs}Brynna wandered the school halls aimlessly, revelling in their emptiness. She had nowhere to go this holidays, or any other holidays, for that matter, and she figured that she might as well make the most of the empty corridors and deserted grounds. Better than wasting time sitting around doing nothing, like the few other students were.
She glanced behing her. A prefect had been following her around for some time now, for why, she could not guess. She could still hear him, trying to be sneaky about it. Great prefect, he was. He couldn't even mind his own business, or at least gather up the courage to ask her what she was doing. Pathetic. Glancing behind her again, she pulled a small stone and threw it down the hall, then slipped behind a tapestry to watch the show. The stone clanged against a suit of armour, and the potraits cried out in surprise, creating a large distraction. The prefect hurrried past her, and she grinned bitterly, slipping away.
Making her way down to the Entrance Hall unnoticed, Brynna allowed herself another small grin of victory. Once again, she had passed her own challenge with flying colours. Crossing to the doors, she grabbed the handle, then paused at the speech behind her.
"He said he saw an eagle, bigger than anything you've ever seen, gold as the sun, flying through the woods."
"Impossible!"
She grinned and slipped out the door. Little did they know that the rumour was true. She knew it herself. Swiftly, she ran across the grounds, revelling in the freedom. It had been years since she had been bothered by bullies such as those that had been at the orphanage where she grew up.
The Forbidden Forest was cool and welcoming, to her, anyway. She slowed and stood at the base of the giant trees, stroking their roots. Quickly, she scaled the closest one, easily find hand and foot-holds in the rough bark of the trunk. High in the forest, she sat on one of its broad branches, at ease with the giant trees around her. These were her friends, these trees that she could tell her secrets to, but they could not tell those secrets to anyone else, they could not betray her. Not like people could.
Uncomfortable with her line of thought, she stood on the broad branch and jumped, changing in mid air. A flash of gold, she swooped through the branches and into the open sky. Let them see her giant golden eagle playing in the branches of the Forbidden Forest, because for now, she was free.

Hey, Mystique! It's great that you're interested in joining. I just have a couple of notes on your application.
Firstly, you're missing an important word in the 'Other' section. You should read through the rules thoroughly again to find it, please (: Secondly, the 'Personality' section is severely lacking. By 'four paragraphs' we mean four decent-sized ones, at least ten lines each. Try to flesh it out more, get to know Brynna more and describe what she's like. It would also be nice if you could flesh out her history a little more. Thirdly, you mentioned that she's an Animagus in her History and I'm afraid that's not allowed. We do have one Animagus spot open, however you have to apply for it here after your character has been accepted. Finally, Kristen Stewart is SFCed by Jessie. You can check the Face Claim list here to see what Face Claims are taken, or if you really want to use Kristen then you can PM Jessie and ask if she will be willing to give her up. Once you have a face-claim, please add three 100x100 icons at the top of your app.
If you can fix it up as soon as possible, I'll be more than happy to look at your application again (: Thank you!

Hey!
I modified my application, and I hope there is enough there. Just 3 questions about it Do I need to change my sample post as well, with the animagius thing? Does my personality need more? Cause I'm just about out of description D= And I feel like an idiot asking this, but How do I put pictures up there? I always just attach a picture to it.

Hi again! Your sample post is fine, don't worry, as long as you don't mention the animagus thing in other posts. And I'm sorry, but personality does have to be at least four, good paragraphs, three just isn't good enough. Try again? You never know, maybe there's a couple more words about your character in you.
As for the icons, you can upload them on photobucket or tinypic and then copy the urls in between the [IMG*] [/*IMG] (without the astrix) codes. (:

We appreciate the effort that's been made to improve your application but unfortunately it still does not quite meet the standards needed and we feel that ultimately, we have to reject the application, sorry.
