ABOUT THE CHARACTER Name: Kalib Hemlock Age: Eighteen Gender: Male Year: Seventh Year Celebrity: Blake Lewis
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: [1] Kalib has been gifted with good looks and a charming smile, but to keep his steady appearance going, he must work hard. It isn’t anything he can simply over look, for he cares greatly of how others view him. His hair is a neatly cropped shade of black and bits of blonde (he was born with an unruly sort of red and dyed it at about age ten). His face structure is basic, not so much leaning towards chubbiness though not a stick either. Kalib has enchanting dark eyes and a fair complexion, nothing like a tan just enough to say he isn’t pale. Physique: [1] As mentioned, Kalib finds his form something to boast about and thinks quite highly of himself. His stature is firm and strong, measuring up to his 5’7” and weight of 180. He works out regularly, even if it means putting off homework for the night. Kalib tries his best to remain physically fit, as he is very much a “ladies man.” The only downfall that he seems to have is that often his quest in remains as such puts his grades on the lower end, much to his parents disgrace.
Personality: [1] Sadly, Kalib can be a bit of a jerk sometimes. He considers himself utmost high and now being a new Seventh Year it has only increased his so-called ego higher up. He loves competition when challenged of his strength in any area, and quite frankly, he often wins – even if it does means causing another to be hurt or offended. [2] Being well aware of his overpowering presence at times, Kalib has grown to have a bit of a temper. It is very much a “one mood one second, another the next” type of thing, as it can take as little as one sentence to set him off. Needless to say, more then once he’s landed himself in detention. This bad habit of his can’t seem to be broken, no matter how many attempts are made. [3] The only thing he can’t seem to win at is when it comes to the strength of ones mind. To his mother’s intense dissatisfaction, Kalib often slips on his studies and therefore over his past years in learning he has scarcely learned much. He’s been known to cheat on assignments and even exams. This also has caused him much grief in the world of detentions. [4] He makes up these failures in his consistent effort to win over as many hearts as possible. Kalib loves to flirt and has been referred to amongst many as a “heart-breaker” despite his best efforts. He really does mean well, but sometimes his actions mean more then his loving words. More then once he’s been caught cheating for another girl, though he’ll always insist “I’d been about to break up with you today anyways!” Even so, this only makes him look more of a jerk. [5] Kalib hopes to try and live down these awkward moments however, feeling that perhaps this new school would give him a chance to restart his life and make a better living for himself, or rather, a better reputation.

History: [1] Kalib Hemlock was born November 3rd, 1958 on a cold chilly night. His parents, Darren and Debbie Hemlock, were both thrilled at having a boy. Needless to say, being an only child at the time he was pampered from birth. However, his ride being the “little baby boy” of the family ended only three years later. Kalib wasn’t too happy about all this. [2] Andy Hemlock was born into the family, causing the wizarding family a change in housing. After moving and being settled into their new home, Kalib went into something of a dejection period in his life. He felt his new baby brother was getting more attention as they both aged upward. At one point he’d tried to run away, though his plans had been thwarted. [3] When his mother got a new job, Kalib was supportive in the decision. Although he’d greatly miss his friends and old home, he knew a new school would be fun and full of more challenges (which of course immediately caught hold of him, being so competitive and all). Hogwarts seemed like a good place to start fresh and leave his wrong-doings behind (well, at least the worst of them). [4] Now, after just being introduced to Hogwarts, he spends his days there as the “new boy.” While the prospect of having his own mother be one of his teachers is rather a bit daunting, Kalib feels he’ll eventually be able to come to terms with it. Hogwarts would be his new home for now, for his final year in education.
ABOUT YOU Name: Izzy Years of Experience: About five years. Sample Post: Isabella’s?
Bella grinned back: “Well, I’m glad we got that covered,” she managed to reply before Annette began telling her of how sad she was to move, how she missed her friends, that it was here first and last year of Hogwarts – Bella couldn’t image such; she loved Hogwarts so much. As far as she was concerned, Hogwarts was her home. A pain of sadness gripped her when she realized she only had two more left.
“I'm sorry for just spouting off my own little sob story. I’m not usually this emotional, it’s just been a hard time for me lately... A lot of changes all at once, you know?” Maybe it was embedded into ever girl, but Bella believed she’d found someone who could accidentally ramble more so then herself. She smiled, shaking her head. “It’s alright.”
However, at the question of boys not only did her mind begin working instantly on just “how are the boys here?” her mouth did too: “Honestly, girl to girl? The selection isn’t wide. You’ve got the Gryffindor’s over there,” she said, pointing vaguely, “and most of them are arrogant around over boys but they seem to get girls aren’t into that.
“Then there’s Ravenclaw boys, and they’re good. I’ve dated one once, but that’s besides the point. I only dumped him because he seemed to not understand that just because you’re put in Ravenclaw does not mean you’re automatically the smartest person in school.
“Hufflepuff’s alright too, but I personally don’t like a man that won’t take charge. They’re all softies, which sometimes is cute but other times annoying. I say give it a few years and they’ll grow out of it.
“Alright, and then there’s Slytherins…” A bit of annoyance etched into her tone. “They’re arrogant and don’t worry about if it offends girls or not. I know not all of them can be that bad, but the one’s I’ve met have been.” She cast an angry glace towards the Slytherin’s table. Other: Classically >> Blackboard

Accepted.
Kalib has been sorted into Slytherin.
Yes Bella, there are nice Slytherins in the world you know ^^ I had a hard time sorting him, but I think his character will blossom more when he has much harder rebels in his peer group. Plus - Slytherin are becoming a rather unpleasant lot.

Well, as I was creating him myself, I really had no House in mind, I just kept typing and eventually this was the product. After reading through it I wondered whether or not he'd be a Slytherin. It was like "well, he fits...but he's...sorta, like a good person though..." I honestly just threw my hands up in the air and left it up to you guys. However, thanks! *Huggles new character and runs off to RP*
