Discussion: Reading Crystal Balls
It was a bit of a small class, this one. By their seventh year, many students seemed to stop taking Divination, foolishly believing that it wouldn't be necessary for their "career." Sybill shook her head, tsking under her breath as she waited for the entire class arrive. Too many students these days were focused on what was required, on future occupations, when they should have put more respect in their Inner Eye - if they were lucky enough to possess a strong one - as the gift that it was, instead of disregarding it as unnecessary for their endeavors after graduation. But that was some students - certainly not the students that were here, in this class. No, they were here because they were committed to developing their Inner Eye, to learning more about the awe-inspiring subject of Divination. She pitied them, truthfully, the students who strayed, who didn't realize the importance of such a subject in their life. Wasn't life much more important than a simple career? Continuing to shake her head, Sybill was so distracted in thought that she didn't realize the class had all arrived. Glancing up with a little start of surprise, she quickly composed herself, clasping her hands in front of her and drawing herself up straight. "Welcome, my dears," she began, eyes widening even larger behind her glasses. "I hope that you have all completed your dream charts. Is there anyone who would like to share what they have been recording?" She leaned forward slightly, reaching out with one hand, swinging it across the classroom and raising her eyebrows before seeming to realize her posture and retracting back, blinking quickly. "No, no, sharing will come later. Please, get out your crystal balls and partner up, you may all practice your readings now." Nodding quickly at this decision, she stepped back, fluttering her hands at them quickly and eagerly. "Go on now! I'll be around to assess your progress in a minute!"
