INTRODUCTION
Group #1: Gryffindor Fourth and Fifth Years Group #2: Hufflepuff Forth and Fifth Years Discussion: Associating Names and Numbers
Fourth and Fifth years were the most difficult to teach, Professor Vector had found. Oh sure they were plenty eager and everything, but they had yet to grasp the concept of Arithmancy and it was extremely difficult to find someone who was a natural at the subject. Once, she had had the patience to deal with them, to be able to explain patiently the concept time and time again. It was more difficult to do so now, which meant that the students often struggled even more. Still, looking at the bright, eager faces that were peering back at her, Professor Vector felt hope that she might be seeing them again next year, at least some of them. The first few weeks had proved to be challenging, as it always was with students who were new to the subject, but she had faith they would grasp it. Or, at least some of it. The rest would find some other way of succeeding - or completely give up. It depended on the person's personality, she supposed. But that was muggle psychology or something along those lines. Professor Vector taught Airthmancy. "Good morning, class. Open your books to page thirty four, please," she ordered pleasantly enough, moving around her desk and leaning against it. "I trust you have all completed last week's essay on the importance of numbers. Please pass it to the front." She stared at them expectantly in silence, her arms folded across her chest while she waited.
