Benji and I are meant to be together. And I don't mean that in the most strictly platonic sense either. It's on and off with this boy. Not that we've kept dating since that one time way back when, but we've been together ever since. No, he's not a fling, and no he's not my friend with special benefits. Benji's not a part of that. He's...he's real. He's everything I can count on and lean against when I need someone to be there for me. So many 'friends' never seem to make the cut, but Benji always has, and always will. He's so disgustingly noble it makes me ashamed of myself sometimes. Benny! Gosh, I've known Benny since I was...nine years old, I think? Yup, I think that's when he came to be our neighbor. We clicked almost instantly! He was so sweet and shy (well, back THEN he was shy), and I just absolutely adored him! In a completely platonic way, of course. After a month of knowing him, we were practically joined at the hip! Dear, sweet Rose. She's probably the nicest person you'll ever meet. I met her when I was ten, and I was in love - or so I thought. She was the prettiest thing I'd seen since Penny, and that's saying something. I had the biggest crush on her when we were little - but I got over it not long after. She never knew, and I don't plan on her ever finding out, either. Now? We're just best friends - and that's an understatement. Along with Marls, she's my one confidant about almost anything. Of course, there are still some things that I keep from her - things that I don't think she can really handle, or that I'm convinced she doesn't need to know. Okay, this is pretty simple. I love this kid. We met my first year. We had double Potions together, and I really hate that class. I had no idea what I was doing, and like and idiot, I mixed some potion with poison and got really sick in the middle of class. Professor Slughorn asked if someone would take me to the nurse, but everyone just took a step back like I was some animal that needed to be put down. But, not Ben. He stepped right up and offered to take me. Sure enough, we barely made it up one flight of stairs before I puked on his shoes. He just cleaned it up and carried me the rest of the way to the nurse. She gave me some antidote, but I had to stay overnight. And, when I woke up the next morning, he was there, making sure I was okay. We've been friends ever since. I actually trust him, and he's so easy to talk to. We're not best friends, but for once, I can actually see it happening. He knows me, better than most people. He's absolutely gorgeous, but, since I'm with Sev, it's not like anything is going to happen. But, sometimes I wonder if he thinks about me as much as I think about him.

Ahh, Harley. At first I remembered her as the-girl-who-puked-on-my-shoes. Not exactly the best way to remember someone, but I was barely twelve then and it seemed like a good association. I'm not exactly sure why I stayed that night, I guess I was just being myself, wanting to know she was okay or what-not, but I don't regret it. I got a pretty good friend out of it - emphasis on the pretty, if you please. I mean, I know she has a boyfriend and everything, but hey a guy can hope, right? Oh, Benji! This boy is très magnifique! I love him to pieces. I met him during my second year. I was writing a letter to Momsie, and when I went to leave, I tripped on the stairs! I almost fell all the way down the windind staircase, but Benji caught me just before it started to get bad. I am so clumsy! We have been friends ever since then. I like to spend time with him. He is so funny, and he knows how to make me smile. We dated for a little while, and I really did like him, but, like so many others, he was just not the one. I really liked him, though. He never tried to do anything stupid, and he always knew how to treat me. He even let me sketch him a couple of times. Even after we broke up, we stayed very good friends. I know what you're thinking: and then after that we fell in love and lived happily ever after. But no, my life isn't a romance novel. We are, however, pretty good friends now. And we did date at some point. Now normally if I'm in a relationship I like it to be a lengthy one, but Emily was an exception to that rule. Benji! Well, I can remember I was outside, near the lake one day, just playing with my yoyo and waiting for Owen. I was humming a new song I heard an older hufflepuff singing that morning and just kind of soaking up the afternoon. It was one of my better days, I was remembering a lot. I heard a low voice and had turned around to find Ben, whom I didn't know at the time, walking toward me. He was, and still is, extremely attractive. I don't know if I know what my type is but I think he might be it. Anyway, he introduced himself and all I can remember after that was trying to memorize his face with his name. I probably looked ridiculous, seeing as I was probably starring with a funny look on my face. But, we are friends now, which makes me really happy! I still can't remember his reasoning for intoducing himself to me, but I am glad he did. He helps me when I need it and honestly, I have a big crush on him. He is one of the few friends Owen and I don't share. He just picked a really good day to meet me because now, I can't forget him. It's kinda nice really. Besides, he is a sweet heart.

Ah yes, Benji. I wish I could say we were good friends but I can't. I have known him since first year, ending up in a few of his classes and all. He really is a smart kid. I don't know though. Oh goodness me, Benjamin Burke just makes me so incredibly happy! He and I have a lot of things in common - we both love being outside and we both love watching people and we're both Ravenclaws, so we always have stuff to talk about! I remember the day I met him like it was yesterday - "Aren't you a little young to be drinking?" he asked me as I was drinking my medication from a flask - and we hit it off from there! Benji is my hero. I LOVE this boy. No, not in that way. Although if I could I would because he'd be the best boyfriend ever. But we're friends, and I actually met him through our bestest buddy Rose Darwin. And now that my brother is graduated and married, I think maybe Benji thinks he should fill in for him. Which I don't mind, it's always nice to have boys looking out for you! It all started with chicken. I asked people to pass it at supper, and no one did. And then finally Benjamin is handing me chicken and smiling and... I guess I got a crush on him. He intrigued me back then, and still does, but I made a point to try to get to know him. I don't do that with many people, least of all guys I just met. As it turned out, I ended up meeting his best friend shortly after, and he and I became close in an instant, and then... well, it was hard for Benjamin and I to avoid each other, since we ran in the same circles. I don't think he wanted to avoid me, really, though. I think he liked my company. I hope he did. Anyway, we've been friends since then, even though I fancied him. He saved me from getting attacked by Donny Rosier, even though he got hurt in the process. And then I sort of... around Halloween this year, I slipped up and kissed him, and we hadn't really spoken since then. Stupid on my part, really. But then we got to talking again, and then somehow... He was Imogen's friend first. And he intrigued me, and I do believe that I managed to ensnare his attention too, once I'd introduced myself. He was reading in the snow, and I introduced myself and, admittedly, showed off a little by demonstrating my skilful use of the Incendio Charm. He seems to like playing with fire. Earning his trust is proving to be difficult, but he's interesting enough that it should be worth it. What I'll do with that trust, once I have it, is entirely up in the air. But it will certainly be nice to have Benjamin Burke on my side, won't it?

I'm just as confused over Genevieve Sauveterre as I am over her sister. It must be a Sauveterre thing, really. We met one day out in the courtyard and, to be completely honest...she intrigued me. She wasn't like anyone I'd met before. Granted, that was before I knew she was Imogen's sister, but, honestly, that fact doesn't bother me much. I haven't really talked to her since that day that she convinced me to ditch class with her and we danced. If it hadn't been for what happened over Christmas, I might have been willing to get to know her a little better. Know what's going on in her head, but something tells me I'll find something very interesting there. Whether it's a good interesting, I have no idea. But I guess I'll never find out.
