About the Character- -
Name: Melody Steele Age: Sixteen Gender: Female Year: Fifth Face Claim: Miley Cyrus
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: Melody has always had a round face. And she hates it. It curves down to her chin in a circular fashion. Most people tell her it's cute, but she thinks otherwise. She feels like it gives her a childish look, and she is far beyond childish. Her lips are plump and full under her stiff button nose. With a glistening tint, Melody's lips don't have the jut pointing downward in the upper lip like most people. Her upper lip is a full crescent that extends into a huge smile. Her eyes are naturally brown, but on certain days, she likes to change them to blue. With long tundrils falling just under her chest, Melody's long, auburn hair is mixed with deep brown curls fluently.
Physique: Melody's legs are long and punchy, that curve up into large hips. She was blessed with her hips. They're just the right amount of bulk so that once they start to curve into her waist, it makes her waist look smaller. Her chest is a perfect curve that leads up to her smooth palete. Melody has never been hefty. She always feared she would be upsetting her parents. Her parents are always so pushy about her physique. She was always worried about her face being too plump for her parents liking, so Melody feels it necessary to keep in the best shape her body can be in.
Personality: _She was pushed to the Edge_ Melody has a very hard personalitly. Most people don't know what to think of it, because it's so all over the place. She tries to break free from her parents over shadowing grasp, only to snap back into punishment and be snoody like the daughter they raised. But Melody doesn't want to be a brat. In fact, she tries with all her might not to be. Which results in her being a very dodgy person. She was always forced to be someone she's not. And that is what has pushed her to the edge, and created the girl that is known as Melody Rose Steele.
Melody is strong. She won't take anyone's crap, because she's always dealing with her own. She's always been pressured into thinking certain ways, but her mind has always protested and denied these prerequisites. With all the power in her, she has grown into someone that is completly herself. Melody is who she is, and will always be that way. Which sometimes gets her into trouble. She is sometimes mistaken for her individuality as "different" and not normal by her family. So there's always a mental battle going on in her mind.
Melody cares about what people think about her, but not enough to impress anyone. Overall she is fairly kind, but with kindness comes the guilt of lies. Melody was always trained to lie to people if what was right to them, was wrong to her. So, as an act of kindness, she lies a lot. This isn't her wanting to be liked, because she could care less, but this was the way her parents wanted her to be, so she was always confused as a child, and her childhood rubs off into her life now.
People always interest her. She loves to learn about them, and watch them do certain things. Muggles are her favorite, because she is humored by their complete idiocy. They're amusing in the most peculiar ways. When she was little she would get in trouble by her parents for communicating with them. They said it was “socially unacceptable” so of course that made her want to do it even more. Although Melody's parents did like to hover punishments in front of her face if she didn't act the “right” way, she has finally found herself, and Melody plans to keep it that way.

History:
Melody Rose Steele was born on January 1st, 1993 to Franco and Mellany Steele; residents of Barcelona, Spain. Once Melody was born, the youngest of three older siblings; Emerald, Rain, and Lily, the family was moved from their quiet, serene mansion in Barcelona to London, England, where Franco Steele's new job had reported him to. As a big time Ministry officicial, they were moved into the wealthiest community in London; Shratenburg Lodges. This was when Melody's life started, and this is where she would learn who she really was. Franco's new position in the Ministry put their family at top wealth. Above any other rich, overshadowing family, the Steele's were top of the line Wizard Royalty. Melody grew up in the spiral from lower class all the way up to the top, and grew up watching what it did to her family.
Rain got his letter first. Four years older than Emerald and Lily, he was swept off to hogwarts, leaving the two brat twins with Melody, stranded in the lies her family was wrapping her in. Rain was her escape, he didn't let the shadow of the rich life over take him. He was always true to himself, and true to Melody. Rain was who made Melody realize that being yourself was the only way to have a real and true life. So when he left for hogwarts, Melody had absolutly noone to turn to when the diminished pressure would flood her system.
She was a confused child. Always listening to her parents, but returning to Rain's thoughts and words. It got her into trouble. She was taught to judge, and assume people would judge her. Always conscious of these things, Melody would always find herself in predicaments of embarrasment with the entire community. One time one of the neighbor's had insulted her in every possible way at a town ball, and Melody was escorted out of the hall by the police for physical violence. This set back the Steele's social status a load full, and her parent's were not impressed. But she got to where she is today.
Emerald and Lily both got sent to hogwarts three years before Melody, and this left her alone with noone but her dissapointed parents. Of course Melody did not like them always upset with her. But they never saw it when Melody was upset by their harsh judgements and so she had no choice but to be herself. To always stick to what was true, and that was when she left for hogwarts. Every summer isn't easy for her. She usually sticks to her room, and listens to music. She has no friends in her home life. Her “fake” life, is what she calls it. The “fake” life is the realm where Melody is pressured to be someone other than herself, and that's not what the “true” Melody wants.
Sample Post:
The wine was flowing throught the rich families glasses like air. One glass. Two.
Ten.
Melody was left alone at a table in the back of the white ball room, watching as each and every one of the sick, stuck up snoods drank themselves dizzy with Fire Whisky and Blue Bottle Rum. Dancing in circles and stumbling over eachother like hordes of sheep. The dance floor was their pen, and the music was the shepard hurdeling them into movement, bumping into eachother. Melody's head turned away from the dance floor, and up to the refreshment room on the second floor Veranda. Mom and Dad. “ Franco and Mellany. . .” the fake spanish accent rolling poorly off her tongue.
They looked like they were arguing. Their muted shouts were strong, moving to the beat of the song that was crossing the dance floor like earthen shocks racing underground. Mellany's hand shot up in the air and then whiped around her head with another muted shout, pointing straight down and directly at Melody. They were mad because Melody was still acting 'different'. Her face turned white and she looked away as Mellany and Franco realized Melody had been watching. With a large breath, Melody got up and rushed away from the table, in fear her father would decide to come down and yell at her. Too late, Melody had looked back in the direction of the Veranda and saw him tearing from the railing, towards the stairs.
Melody quickly ran for the glass doors of the large, buzzing hall. Her sliming silky, scarlette dress fluttered into the wind as the doors flew out from the inside. The starting wind whipped her warm face, giving the gentle air time to cool it down. Melody wasn't going to break down, but she could feel the heaves churning in her stomach, waiting to explode from the center and rip her throat to shreds with quivering motion. A cry. The lump in her throat swelled and her eyes teared. Why was is so difficult? Being normal? It was time's like these that made Melody wish she wasn't such a failure for her parents. Just as a heavy heave broke from her throat and she sucked air deep in as her body pumped foreward and back, Franco bursted through the wicker doors on the side of the hall, that lead to the Veranda.
His look was a look of dissarray and potential depression. He looked over Melody with droopy, sunken, intoxicated eyes “¿ Cuál es incorrecto con usted esta noche?” his spanish slurred off his tongue like acid. She hated it when he talked in spanish to her. He only did it to tease her. Of course she only knew little spanish, because when the she was born, the family moved to London. “Nothing is wrong with me tonight, father.” Melody turned her back to Franco and leaned over the railing of the staircase that lead to either the beached river front of the Thames, or the parking lot and front courtyard. The breeze that was pulling off the water was nice, so she positioned herself that way. Franco interupted and pulled her shoulder. The Blue Bottle Whisky rolled off his breath in a sickening manner, and Melody pulled her shoulder back with a glare. She was done. Done with all the condescending dissapointment. Done with her sick family that disaproved every move she made. She was done.
