Merely knowing someone, to becoming good friends with them, to liking them, to dating them, to become best friends, and being let in on a monstrous secret (no pun in tended, I swear) all in the matter of one month, tops, is one of the strangest, most startling but deeply satisfying things that has ever happen to me. It completely blows everything up until this point right out of the water. Had someone told me a year ago this is where I would be standing, I would have never believed them. I probably would have laughed and asked which mental institution they escaped from. In hindsight, looking back on it now, I wouldn’t have it any other way. In an ideal world this rapid change in my life would have taken much longer then it has, and perhaps I would have eased into the events rather then being bombarded with them. Though if this is what it would have taken (could I be allowed to “re-do” it) I would willingly repeat the pattern. If the final result is me here, hand in hand with Remus and quite unwavering in how I feel about him regardless of his little fur problem, I would go through it all again, and again; whatever it takes, as long at the result is the same. Simply put, I love him and always will. (Stubbornness is, after all, one of my most dominating traits.)

I was sweating profusely, I believe, and I think Remus heard me gulping a couple of times before he turned around and tried to make small talk out of my self. I was kind of grateful for that, since no guy wants to embarrass himself on his first day. I could tell, him talking to me was taking him a bit of effort, since apparently he wasn't really the social type, but yeah, before I knew it, my name was being called out, and lo and behold, what do you think? We were sorted to the same House. Gryfffindor pride, all the way, huh?"

Please, Remus and I go so far back that to look that far would make your eyes cross. He was just that shy, quiet kid on the train who soon became one of my best friends. Our friendship has only grown over the years, and I'd easily lay my life on the line for him. He's the voice of reason in our little group, and I know I can go to him for anything.

Well, Remus and I are house mates though we didn't really become "mates" or, in fact, meet, until after I met James (and then he introduced me to him and the entire gang). We see each other in hallways though most of our conversing occurs in the common room (He is a year older than me, you know). All in all, I feel like I have a somewhat connection to Remus (James is like an older brother but Remus can understand something other people can't) though I can't seem to figure out why or what makes me feel like that. Maybe its hormones?

Remus, the little prat... He's just one-fourth of that obnoxiously idiotic "Marauder" thing they're always going on about. Granted, probably the least moronic of the four, but that doesn't count for much. We met like the rest of our year- a brief meeting and complete rejection of the hopeless little raggedy urchin on the train, and a confirmation of the rejection as he got sorted into Gryffindor. He and the three other cretins apparently thought they were pretty cool, but there were a few confrontations between them and my group of Slytherins. Due to unfortunate circumstances, some of these battles were lost, some were won. It left an hostile rivalry of the school, which still hasn't been resolved. It's our last year in school, so if it's going to happen, it'd better happen soon.

We must love Remus, shouldn’t we? He is just such an excellent option for target practice. I don’t see him of being much more use then that. He’s about as idiotic as they come, trying to act all tough and intimidating. First off, there is nothing scary about a little kitty meowing pathetically for attention and second, lacking a real personality would definitely be an issue. How about you grow up and try to make something of yourself? Or have you already realized saving yourself from a life of meaningless is impossible?

There isn't a day that passes in which Amelie doesn't wonder why how she actually got to be friends with Remus. He represents almost everything that she hates: Gryffindor, Smarty pants, a little on the goody two shoes side, and most importantly, Prefect. Her problem with authority, especially undeserved authority (which all prefects fall into the category of) governs that this friendship should not exist. And yet it does. Drawn together by their mutual hatred of a few key people, Amelie and Remus have struck up quite the unexpected friendship. They met (officially) one day in the hall after they bumped into each other -- though Amelie will tell anyone who asks that it was entirely Remus' fault. After a short exchange of non-niceties, it sort of slipped out that they had a few things in common. Basically their friendship is based on similarities that allow them to ignore their differences. He is one of the few people from another house that Amelie can just hang out with and be completely herself -- (the real self that only exists when she has nothing to bitch about). And for some reason there has always been that slight sexual tension that comes with a pretty girl becoming friends with a handsome boy -- especially when said friendship never takes place in the company of other people.

I don't like Remus, I've made that very clear to him and he has made sure I know the feeling is mutual. The why is simple he's friends with my brother, rather my former brother as well as that git Potter. Up until now that was pretty much all I had against the guy, that and I've never been a fan of wimpy Gryffindors who can be so self righteous while he watches ad James and Sirius play their pranks on innocent wizards and defends them, but then condones any similar action I partake in. Not that his opinion matters, but the hippocracy of it unnerves me. Now there is also the fact that he is spending what I feel to be too much time with my girlfriend. Not that I really have anything to worry about from him, from what I hear Sirius keeps him on pretty short leash.

When I started my third year, I really didn't branch out and try to meet a whole lot of people, but you'd pretty much have to be living under a rock to not know the Gryffindor "clique". Remus is just one of those four guys. Apparently, he's a decent guy. Good for him.

He's probably one of the only boys who I can be my total self around, with the exception of us not getting physical. He's such a nice guy. You won't ever meet a nicer guy. He's a humble, kind guy and I don't remember a time when we have ever fought. Except maybe when we were young, but still, he's been like an older brother for a very long time. I love him. The girl who wins his heart is very fortunate to have him."

I really like Remus, he's an ok guy. Unlike his friends, he has something going for him and people want to be around him for it. I don't think getting into trouble is ever his original plan, but what can you do when you're friends with James and Sirius? I've known him since our first year, distantly, but gradually we've become closer friends as time went on. He's like me - books aren't just pages with a bunch of words on them to us, and we're capable of listening to someone else from time to time. We have a little bit of a rivalry going on, you see, Remus thinks he's smarter than me, and I think I'm smarter than him. There's actually no competition, but I don't want him to feel bad so I play along. He has a lot of secrets and I really don't care, everyone has skeletons in the closet. Of course I have to wonder....how big are they?

Ever since I met him, life has been so much more... complicated. It was probably my first year and his third that we met, and even though he was much older, we hit it off straight away. I don't know what it is, but I feel some kind of connection towards him. He's just so genuinely nice, and is such a fantastic friend. He's been there for me, 100%, and I try to return the favour. He was so good to me when Dad passed on, and through every mishap we've faced during the school years, we've got through them with each other's help. Merlin, I sound like I'm getting over emotional, and I am, but Remus deserves it. But... the thing is, I like him... more than a friend. Whenever I catch sight of him, my palms go all clamy, my tongue sticks in my mouth, and my heart judders like a broken engine. I swear I've dreamt about him, about us... acting more like Bella and he does. Thing is, I don't want to feel these things. He's such a good friend, and I love Bella too, so I couldn't put them through that. I want to tell him, but I know I just can't. I suppose I'm gunna have to live with that.

Remus and I have been really good friends for such a long time... He's one of my best guy friends, and it's not exactly hard to see why. I'm a pretty laid back person, and he's not exactly a fireball of crazy energy himself. We can just be together, and that's a rare find. Sometimes I wonder why he wasn't put in Hufflepuff, as he's such a loyal friend and so responsible, especially compared to his friends. But then I'm reminded of how he was one of the first people at Hogwarts to notice me, to talk to me. That took some bravery, and Remus never seems to be short of it- the kind of bravery that doesn't need to be flashy or out in the open. He likes to tease me about my American accent, which I find hysterical actually... Since, of course, it seems to me like everyone else has an accent except for me. We hang out pretty often, when he's not busy with his flamboyant Gryffindor gang, which I'm not quite as fond of as he is. He and I still talk a lot though, even if it seems like he's not always telling me the whole truth sometimes... I don't mind, because it's not like he does anything to hurt me. I'd do anything in the world for him, and I'm pretty sure he'd do the same.

What do you mean why? Come on, he's so nice. You know me, it's always the quiet ones that I get on with the best. I can talk and he listens to me, I feel like I can just express myself. Although I have to admit he is hard to track down, busy boy. Second year in I met him outside of class. He actually helped me with a transfiguration problem I couldn't work out, which just shows how smart he is. That Remus, he's a real stud.

Remus... God, I wish things wouldn't have gone wrong between Sirius and Marls, then we could get the old group back together. Seems like I don't know him as well as I used to. I always used to think that we would be perfect for eachother... I was a silly girl. He is gorgeous... No, he and his girlfriend are cute, and with the way things are going for me and Sirius, who knows what might happen? All I can say is best of luck to the both of you, I hope I can get to know Bella better someday... or not. History: When I first arrived at Hogwarts, I was lost. I had no concept of magic; what it was, or how it worked. Remus was--is---a good student, and became something of a tutor to me. I didn't even know the difference between the houses! Hogwarts was a big, confusing place. Remus helped me sort it out, and explained things when he could. I assume he has got enough drama in his own life without me adding things, so I tried not to bug him so much. He knew I felt like an outcast, so he invited me to one of the apparently infamous Gryffindor parties, and it's partially what got me noticed at all. I won't forget how he helped me, and he knows it. We may not be best buds, but I wouldn't mind spending time with him.
