Authors Note: the following is a chronological list of all the Role Plays that Jacob has been in. I tried my best to make sure they came in the correct order. This is a simple record of Jacob’s history since the start of his sixth year and also allows me to better keep track of my threads.
Red (BB0000) represents Role Plays that are completed and or have been discontinued for whatever reason. Yellow (FFA200) represents the Role Plays that are still currently in session.

CHAPTER ONE:- or not to,
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring April Beck – a small note passed between the two evolves into a not-date-date for later that evening. Jake has agreed to teach April some signing, and he’s curious about her: so, that’s what they intend on doing.
- Start to be Myself,
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring April Beck – the pair meet up in the Entrance Hall, chat for a bit, and then go to an empty classroom so begin practicing. Jake helps April learn some basic ASL, which he’s happy to supply without pay because he’s earned a nice friendship out of it.
- Non-Verbal Communication
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Johnny Myers – the boys talk dull professors and hot chicks. Only problem with that is after Jake as gushed over the nameless hot chick, Johnny admits that his crush is none other then Jake’s own sister. The two agree to meet up later for some drinks – and so Jake can get to the bottom of this irritating attraction.
- The Three B’s (Beers, Buds & Babes)
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Johnny Myers – like they said in their previous note, the two go and meet up at the Three Broomsticks for a couple bottles of Butterbeer. They have an alright conversation whilst skipping their classes, but Jake still is suspicious of Johnny and his liking for Jenna.
- Warrior Poet
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Amory Kerr – the guys, naturally, are bored in class so they begin note passing. It’s your basic, average, “this class suck; oh yeah, you two?” conversation. As the bell sounds, they nod farewell and go their separate ways.
- control,
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Narcissa Black – as unlikely as is may sound, the “little, conceited Gryffie” and “amazing princess” begin to pass notes back and forth. Between the teasing and the bickering Jake asks Narcissa out on a “physically attracted only” date. And, she agrees.
- Check Yes, Juliet
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Narcissa Black – Jake stands worriedly outside the castle waiting for Narcissa and just about the time he decides to give up and accept she isn’t showing, Narcissa arrives. He’s more then pleased she decided to save the stereotypes for the night and they go out to an old, abandoned house Jake found during his little ventures into the beyond. There they spend some time, he showing her around the creepy place, but then turn in during the early hours of the morning and head back to Hogwarts.
- Being Bad Feels Pretty Good,
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Narcissa Black, Marlene McKinnon, Alecto Carrow, and Jagger [Rose] – A party ensues amongst a group (who, frankly, don’t normally associate themselves with one another). Jakes watches as each guest goes in, and then eventually saunters in himself. He sticks with Narcissa mostly, having small conversation and just enjoying watching the drama unfold before him. Placing a bunch of Slytherins and two gryffindors together (plus some alcohol) results in something interesting to say in the least.

CHAPTER TWO:- Beautiful Liar,
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Jackie Fontaine – Jake is doing some homework over in the back corner of the Library when he gets distracted by somebody’s thoughts. He goes to investigate, and meets Jacqueline. She’s irritated, of course, that a Gryffindor comes to talk with her and wonders just how he found her. Jake gives an excuse of seeing her through the cracks of the books, and tries to initiate a more pleasant conversation but gives up in the end. However, he does imply in his parting that they’ll see each other again sometime.
- Love Me When I’m Gone
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Jackie Fontaine and Ethan Cartier – Jacob is trying to do his work, but someone’s particularly loud thoughts continue to distract him. When he takes the time to listen, his face is wiped clean: a fellow student, planning her own suicide, and wishing her goodbyes to one of his housemates. Worst, it was the girl from the library and Ethan. Immediately as the bell rings, he breaks his own rule and screams at Ethan to stop, explains as quickly as possible, and the two dart to go find Jacqueline.
- One Foot Wrong
- - - (Regular Role Play) Continued from: “Love Me When I’m Gone” Featuring Jackie Fontaine and Ethan Cartier – after having successfully stopped Jacqueline from her suicidal attempt, the three are now in the Hospital Wing. With the nurse busying herself with Jacqueline’s healing, the two boys sit in silence: Ethan waiting for her to speak, Jake waiting to hear any sort of indication in her mind that she was waking up. When Jacqueline does, Jake leaves to give the two friends time alone, only to have Ethan storm back in and Jake take his place at Jacqueline’s bedside. He shows her the events as he witnessed them, trying to convey she isn’t as worthless as she believes. Jacqueline feels unsure, Ethan feels replaced, and Jacob feels unsure, replaced, and misunderstood.
- Suffocate Me
- - - (Regular Role Play) Continued from: “Never Let Me Go” Featuring Jenna Edwards and Johnny Myers – Jake leaves class earning (“because he has to go use the restroom”) and on the way, he runs into his sister, Jenna. Normally that would have been fine, except she was tripping her way up the stairs sobbing. He learns what’s wrong with her – Johnny had just broken up with her – and immediately fills up with rage. When the three are united in the hallway, things turn a bit nasty and ends with Jake stalking off, leaving the broken pair to “fix their own problems.”
- You’ve Got a Friend in Me
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Jackie Fontaine – Ethan’s been avoiding Jackie. Jackie has been avoiding Jake. And Jake’s been trying to figure out what’s going on. He finally corners her in the library, marking the first time they’ve talked since she went to Saint Mungos. Turns out, Jackie’s learned some sign language and she shows Jake everything she had gone through while there. Jake, still having problems with his headaches, can’t “listen” for very long.
- I Don’t Care
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Jenna Edwards – Jake receives a note from Jenna with very vague descriptions to meet up with her later. Knowing the exact place she’s talking about, he reluctantly goes to meet her down at the lake. It’s been too long since they’d last talked – argued? – and he figured it would do him good to try and not be a jerk by standing her up. Well, as it ends up, the two Edwards siblings make up with a happy ending.
- Dance, Dance
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Narcissa Black – Jakes asks Narcissa to be his date for the dance and after a somewhat argumentative conversation she agrees. Not without first warning, however, that she is dating someone (“it’s only one night”) and Sid won’t be very happy with him afterward (“I can handle him”).
- g.i.n.a.s.f.s.
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Johnny Myers – after weeks of Jake being angry at Johnny and Jenna both, he finally apologizes to Johnny and asks to be friends again. A near-instant yes is the reply and soon enough the two are talking like old friends again.
- Can You Feel the Pressure?
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Narcissa Black – Jake is nervous about meeting up with Narcissa for the dance, meanwhile Narcissa is nervous because she’s made up her mind for ditching him in favor of Sid. (Blackmail gets you far.) They head into the Great Hall and not soon after, Narcissa slips out of his sight.
- when i’m with you
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Narcissa Black – The day after the dance Jake sneaks a note to Narcissa, showing his appreciation for last night even though it hadn’t gone according to plan. Narcissa had backed out and gone with Sid instead, but then when she left and Jake follow the two had gotten in an argument. Which proceeded to get out a lot of pent up anger and led to an angry kiss shockingly enough. Narcissa denies Jake specific answers about it, and Jake gives her little in return.

CHAPTER THREE:- you put my head in such a flurry
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Jackie Fontaine – as agreed in their last conversation, Jackie isn’t supposed to keep to herself when something’s troubling her so Jake passes her a note during class asking what’s up. They both exchange the “I’ve been fine” comments and then they proceed to talk about the harder topics, such as her time in the hospital, Ethan’s reaction to both of them, and her father’s suicide.
- his girl friday,
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Olivia Thompson – Jake notices that Olivia looks a little bit down and sends her a note, hoping to initiate a cheerful-enough conversation. They joke around a little bit before she asks him “if he knows sign language.” Not without a small tease, Jake agrees to help her out and teach her some sign language after Quidditch practice this upcoming Saturday.
- up against
- - - (Regular Role Play) Featuring Olivia Thompson – Jake waits around after quidditch practice for Olivia and then the two head back up to the castle. They go to the Gryffindor common room and take claim on the couch to practice sign language, as Jake’s agreed to help Olivia out. They do work on that for a while, but Jake can’t help but be distracted with Olivia’s thoughts about wanting to ask him out on a date. Beating her to it, Jake asks her instead and they set up plans for a date.
- tenacious aggravations
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Jackie Fontaine – Jackie comes in to class late after having been crying for a while. Jake asks her what’s wrong, to find out it was another argument with Ethan. Jake offers up a way he might know to help her feel better about everything that has been happening, but Jackie agrees only if it can happen during the summer. So, they make tentative plans to have Jake come visit her during the summer.
- pretty girl, it’s a show
- - - (Note Thread) Featuring Indigo Grace – Jake and Indigo pass notes during class, mostly talking about how to arrange for Indigo to take Anna to a quidditch game. The obvious answer: of course, Jake holding a tea party. As a cover up, he agrees to the fib and they make plans on what will happen.
