Amelie: "She's really a sweet girl i think...But I still love her sense of humor. I know she's only kidding most of the time, but I usually agree with what she says for serious. Even if she is joking, she's got a brilliant eye for picking out people's flaws."
Jackie: "She's hilarious in her own right, even though I don't really think she's kidding most of the time. She's definitely one of those girls where it's better off to have her as a friend than an enemy, and let's face it-- it's always fun to have a partner when you want to pick the world to pieces."
History: I met her in third year. Well -- sort of. I'd known of her since the beginning but she never really made an effort to talk to anybody much less me, so I didn't make an effort to talk to her. But it was in some class -- can't remember which -- that we sat next to each other. I started joking about this Hufflepuff in front of us, and she whipped out like a crucially good insult. I wasn't expecting it really, but there had to have been some reason she was put in Slytherin. We started joking about everyone in the class. It took me a while to realize that she was only joking about most of the people but still. I totally respected her after that. She's got a beautifully dark mind.

Plots: Theirs seems like it would be a pretty stable friendship since both girls are pretty consistent. They could maybe have a few problems here and there just because they are very different. She was irritated with me, so, I got up and left and I thought that would just be the end of it, but… Well, due to a series of unexpected and adrenaline-pumping events we ran into each other again. History: During Jackie’s first year at Hogwarts she and Astrid had gotten along great, despite the difference’s in house. They were often together talking about their families and friends and everything else 12 year old girls talk about. Everything was great between the girls, until Jackie received the letter about her father’s death. Things became rocky between the girls and Astrid, feeling dejected, accidentally let a few secrets about Jackie’s family slip. From there the girls’ perfect friendship mutated into a mutual and deep hatred for each other.

I really do like her, she's a great person once you get past the initial sarcasm that she may lay on. I think we're definitely on a path to becoming very close friends indeed (:
